Have a morning flight 9am, the location is 5 minutes walk through a short skywalk to the terminal 3. The breakfast started at 6am and still left plenty of time to checkin!

Great location next to the airport.
First check-in attempt at 6 am failed - very uncooperative reception staff ....(no room until 2 pm ! - due to hotel policy).
2nd check-in attempt at 9 am worked beautifully - very friendly staff had a clean room available and I did not need to camp out in the lobby anylonger.
Same hotel - 2 very different experiences - it all depends on the people behind the counter.

The staff are friendly and professional as usual. Hotel is within 3 min walking distance from the arrival and departure of the airport. Excellent breakfast.
The only thing that didn’t work well during my stay this time was the air conditioner which was not adjustable that I was freezing cold in the room for two days.

We thought we had booked the Hyatt Regency from the photo which is very similar. Its just as well as the stay at the Hyatt Place was exactly what we wanted (overnight transit with breakfast included). It is just as convenient and the rooms are good sized, the ac works perfectly and the breakfast was better than the airline lounge provided when we went to depart. Unfortunately we did not take full advantage of the hotel breakfast as we assumed that the lounge and airplane might be better. Bad decision.

We have two kids and booked a family room. We arrived at 4pm and been noticed that our room still not ready. Our flight is in midnight and we only stay for few hours and asked to change a room. they change our family room to a double one with no discount, a much smaller room cost us almost same price (around 14 euro cheaper). I'm not satified with this service. But the location is perfect, few minutes walk to terminal, convenient for flight changing.

A nice stay. Perfect location in the airport for short stays with ongoing flights. Great breakfast - good quality, wide range of choices, & long opening time from 6-10am - convenient for early checkouts or need to sleep in. Only problem for us was the fridge wasn’t working and we needed it to store chocolates.

Great airport hotel!

Hyatt Place is a great place to stay in Shenzhen if you have an early flight and want to avoid Shenzhen traffic. It is attached to airport, but the drive in is confusing and not well-marked. I had a local drive me and we ended up making two laps around the airport before we asked how to find the way in.
Hotel was very modern and clean. Staff spoke excellent English.

The air conditioning monitor in the room does not work at all, control by central. It was too hot and require to request from reception to adjust. It took hours for them to change the temperature. So could not sleep in the first night with 27 C.

Unfriendly and rude receptionist (during check-in), inside the facility was as cold as outdoor (6 degree Celsius when I was there), restaurant staffs are also not well trained definitely not hotel standard. Good hotel, connected to the airport and metro station Airport (line 11). The rooms are clean, spacious, good breakfast included. I have extended my stay, and when I book the extension trough internet I choose the wrong room. Miss Rebecca and Mr Zack from the front desk were very helpful and upgrade my extension, so I could stay in the same room. The hotel managers also are very friendly, and all the staff make me feel like home.

Only walking distant e airport hotel

I think I can simplify this for you:

1. Hyatt House and Hyatt Place are the only two hotels that are part of the airport complex so if late landing or early departure and you have the money this is the only place to stay. The only place that doesn't require a shuttle.

2. Hyatt Place and House have separate elevator banks but otherwise are in the same building, same lobby, same breakfast area. House is more a serviced apartment with Kitchenette and Place is straight hotel room.

3. Noise level: I read some posts that there is noise but I'm very sensitive and didn't hear a thing. I think the trick may be to ask for the airport side (facing the terminal and not facing the parking lot) because while you would expect more noise I noticed an extra layer of glass on that side which I suspect more than compensated.

4. Other airport hotels: A few years ago they closed the old terminals and opened the new one. So there are many \"airport hotels\" near the old terminal which is now closed. Many of these hotels had airport in their name. These places are as much as 20 minutes away by their shuttles. If you are long on time and short on money and want more local flavor, then these places are good. If you are on business or just want a good clean sleep then stay at Hyatt. There is no other hotel that you can walk to check in.

5. Luxury level: This is fit to purpose. Ok but not luxurious like a Grand Hyatt. More like a Four Point Sheraton.

After a long flight from Australia, it was very pleasant to only have a short stroll to find a hotel for an overnight stay, with a flight ensuing next morning. It was easy to find (even if assisted by a kindly Chinese man who pointed the way) and the young lady at check in was efficient and friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable, everything you want after a long day's travel. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Can't fault this place and I will be back.

Unfriendly Front Desk & Beware of Illegal Taxis

Fine hotel, good breakfast. However, front desk is not very helpful. When I inquired about taxi, all they did was sending me to the airport taxi queue. No one warned me about those illegal cars waiting at the taxi queue, who posed as a taxi and demanded 5 times the regula4 taxi fare. This is a known problem according to my local business associates in Shenzhen. The hotel front desk should at least point this out to warn the hotel guests, short of calling a taxi for me.

The hotel is conveniently located at the Shenzhen Airport. It was perfect for us as we flew to Shenzhen Airport for cheaper flights. We
arrived in Shenzhen late in the evening, then took the airport bus to Hong Kong the next morning after a good night rest. The location was perfect for our needs. The staff was friendly and the rooms are clean and much larger than those in crowded Hong Kong. The price is also more affordable than a hotel with similar grading. I did not notice plane noise. So a perfect choice for us.
