My stay at the AC Hotel in Guadalajara was extremely disappointing. The hotel did not meet even basic cleanliness standards. The room and common areas did not feel properly cleaned, which made the entire stay uncomfortable.

For a hotel that markets itself at this level, I expected much better maintenance and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The overall condition of the property made it clear that cleanliness is not being kept to an acceptable standard.

Considering the price, this stay felt like a complete waste of money. I would not recommend staying here unless the hotel significantly improves its cleaning standards and overall upkeep

1 side of the hotel is really noisy with wind due to the way it is constructed. We moved rooms to the other side and it was quieter but shower had no hot water.
It was within walking distance of good food

Property was great and staff very accommodating. The pool bar food and drinks were delicious! Midtown Jalisco mall was the only thing close within walking distance. Other than that, there was not much close to enjoy within walking distance as far as shops or street vendors. Property was centrally located to Centro histórico, Tlaquepaque and about an hour from Tequila which are the places we visited. We’d most likely stay here again.

The views from our corner room were not the best since it faced an area under construction and not city view like we thought we were going to have. Rooms are modern and sleek in design. Pool area is also an asset. Would recommend some property upkeep to preserve hotel value.

Room has zero soundproofing. Hotel is on a super loud and busy street and you hear all cars all night. We paid extra for corner room and could not sleep both nights we were there. Hotel has great pool and lounge rooms are decent. Noise is big turn off and definitely would not stay there again!

Pros: very kind staff, good breakfast and location of the hotel is definitely a plus.

Cons: the room was dirty (we even found bedbugs!!), the drain in the bathroom was clogged, toiletries (like body lotion and sanitary paper) weren’t new at all, pool’s water was very cold (definitely not suitable for kids) and we found out that a “daily pass” is sold for visitors to use the pool, so it was very crowded even when we didn’t see a lot of people in other common areas of the hotel. Definitely expected more for a Marriott hotel.

Comfortable rooms, good facility, and loved the rooftop pool and bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. While the room was a good size, it was set up poorly. There was a dresser shelf unit, but it was in the bathroom. It would be much better if it was in the main room. Also our mini fridge broke down. While it was replaced, the replacement one also broke down.

Tienen una muy bonita alberca desgraciadamente muy descuidada el area de camastros, no
habia mucha gente sin embargo todos estaban desordenados , con toallas mojadas , vasos y basura lo cual no dejaba saber q estaba ocupado y cuales no . Por otro lado el desayuno del restaurant estaba delicioso y el servicio eficiente y amable , la recepcion amable tambien .

Ok overall great hotel and service, it’s just that Expedia booked us for a king bed and instead we got 2 twins. My wife and I were looking forward to this stay but did not expect to sleep separate in small beds. According to front desk this was a mistake by Expedia ? And they couldn’t get a king size bed.

Al hacer check in la señorita que nos atendió fue grosera, no nos indicó la ubicación de restaurantes ni de piscina, además quería cobrarme $4 mil pesos por la estancia de 2 noches para mis 2 perritos, lo cual evidentemente se me hizo excesivo y no correspondía con la tarifa del hotel de $35 usd por mascota, lo cual se lo hice saber y se molestó. El resto del staff nos atendió bien, sin embargo nunca pude validar mis consumos en mi cuenta de Marriott BonVoy porque me decían que no había sistema. Lo mejor es la alberca pero percibo que la han descuidado, no tiene buena caldera pues el agua estuvo siempre fría. El gym se queda algo corto, solo con un par de corredoras, elípticas y un set de pesas, creo que deberían invertir en algunos aparatos.

We could hear the people from the other rooms talking. Walls must be really thin. The bathroom sink seemed dirty, but I think it’s just the use and tear. The little packets with q-tips, shower cap, etc. add a nice touch usually, but they did not have them here.

Customer service was great, however, I reserved and paid weeks in advance to receive two king size bedrooms. When checking in, I was given two rooms with two full size beds. I asked the front desk why was this changed, for reserved and paid for two king size bedrooms, and front desk said because that is all they could accommodate for us. The two bedrooms also had A/C issues and had to deal with a hot room all night for both rooms. I was not happy with my experience.

Walls are extremely thin, you can hear everything. The plumbing is bad. I could hear whenever the room next door flushed their toilet. My shower was drain was clogged. Lots of noise from the outside. Their room service has inconvenient hours and their breakfast is minimal.

Bad experience, bad design

The Air conditioner is super noisy. Reported it and they said it was because of the size of the room there was a need of that big noisy AC. I stayed before on a hotel 1/3 of the price and slept a lot better than here. The blinds do not close completely so sun comes in all the time. The shower lets the water out in to the room badly, I had to use 2 big towels and 2 small ones to dry the room. Lastly Hotels.com offer free upgrade to VIP, the hotel did had the rooms but said it was to their members only

The only thing I loved about this property was the pool and bar area; amazing view and the servers at the bar were great! In the room there is not enough place to store my belongings and they’re all exposed. The restroom is very small! My room was located facing the main avenue and it was extremely loud early in the morning, I guess their windows are not sound proof.

Corner units a bit noisy on weekends from the Bar or Restaurant next door.
Requested a change and we were given it without any problem.
Carpet in Hallways needs a deep cleaning.
Shower on 624 was leaking into the room floor.

Great hotel....but I believe overpriced, given the competition in the area. No microwave or fridge in the room I booked and given the price that's something I'd expect. Otherwise very clean and modern. Definitely special shout out to housekeeping, the ladies did a wonderful job, and were very friendly. Pool was very nice, located on top floor with an awesome view of the city, shout out to the friendly bartender there as well.
