Room and staff were all great. 1 thing we liked about the hotel is that it's relatively close to Pudong airport and they provide multiple and frequent shuttle service for guests to various key places in the city (including the Bund, Disneyland and key transport hubs). I personally dropped my phone in the bus to Disneyland and managed to retrieve it after a quick call to the hotel who contacted the driver no problem at all so TYVM!

I visited this hotel on 2019 during my first trip to China.
I was very impressed.
Sadly, it seems since then the hotel has been maintained on a budget and if it’s another 6 years until I return, I’d think twice and double check reviews as at its current rate, I’d be worried.
The room was just about acceptable as clean.
Hairs, stuff left behind from the previous guests and cigarette singed sheets were not great.
Not to mention that despite the hotel being non-smoking, my room smelled of smoke all 3 days.

I considered going in the pool when I saw the photos but took one look and thought better of it.
It didn’t give me a good clean vibe.

The airport shuttles are great but you have to have a flight time of 9:30am earliest to use them.
I think they only started at 7am which I can understand why, but lots of flights are underway by 9:30.
My flight was 8:20, which is quite usual for a Saturday, but no flexibility from the hotel on transfer times.
So I had to book a taxi.

The main benefit is proximity to Disney and the coaches were great.

The staff were just ok.
I think they were doing their job alright, but I didn’t really get the sense they’d go out of their way unless prompted.

Overall I think 3.5/5 is fair.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this hotels ratings gradually come down over time.

All the above said, I had a great 2 days at Disney and if you don’t use the hotels coach, the metro is about a 10 min walk and very cheap / easy.

It wouldn’t be hard to turn the hotel round.

This hotel is very close to metro station and there is shuttle bus to Disney land and airports as well as inner city for sight seeing. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. I list my property and contacted t the hotel 3 weeks after. The manager and staff were trying their best to help me find the item. In the end it was my misunderstanding. The cleaning lady on the 9th floor is very friendly and helpful and even left a note in my room written in English and always make sure I have enough bottles drinking water in the room. She is very hard working lady as well. I highly recommended this hotel especially if you are going to take kids to Disney land.

Maybe I underestimated China, but the staffs here were extremely kind and helpful. I lost my phone in the taxi and 4 staffs came and helped me to find them by calling all places. Taxi driver requested 500 yuan to return (which was insane but I had to, to get the phone back). The hotel has shuttle that is very convenient and I returned to hotel at 4pm from Disney to rest and went back to Disney at 7pm. Very nice. I'd return here and stay again! Thanks again for those who helped me to find my phone!!

Bathroom floor can get very slippery even with the bath mat. Instead of a slick tile on the floor, maybe something with texture would’ve been better. The staff were absolutely tremendous, helping us with the laundry and ordering food for delivery from restaurants outside the property. Great location nearby to Disney and they provide free shuttle to/from Disney.

Terrible location the shuttle sucks morning around the area. Stay at the other hotel next to Costco that has a lot of dining and tea options also this pool was closed and the self serve laundry was closed! They should have warned us in advance! I would not return to this hotel also they don’t speak any English staff is not helpful or friendly. I don’t recommend trust me I travel a lot and this was one of the worst locations. The shuttle is only certain hours and the pickup at the airport was a nightmare we ended up catching a cab which cost a lot.

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting disney. Checked in late, there were eye drops left in the bathroom and hair in the shower. Second day the glass which we used wasn’t cleaned and just left on the counter.
The staff are not very friendly and can’t be bothered to help you. Didn’t even tell us our room numbers when checking in, had to ask. The lifts take ages to come, breakfast was nothing special. There are a few fresh stations where they cook Chinese food and the two elderly staff there were the nicest we encountered.
Very limited English amongst the staff and google translate is blocked in China so had to use the staffs device to communicate which they hesitantly use.

The entrance to the car park is under construction and therefore unable to access. We called reception and someone came outside to guide us to another entrance. The check-in was quick but no one explained anything to us about the pool or breakfast or parking. Our room was spacious and clean. We went downstairs to use the pool and there was no one on the desk to welcome us. We got to the pool and a lady ran after us to insist our baby who cannot swim (she’s 1) needs to ‘follow the rules’ and wear a swim cap. We tried to explain that she wasn’t going to swim, only us (who have caps already), she was only going to sit on top of her floating seat which we showed her but the lady was adamant so we were forced to buy the baby an adult swimming cap and put it on her tiny head. The pool is nice but has black ripped tarp hanging over the top which is an eye-sore. We then had trouble after we checked out as the security guard insisted we pay for parking even although we were staying at the hotel so had to call reception to ask them for help. This is our second stay there but we had a lot of bad luck and trouble this time and because of this I don’t think we would stay again.

The staff was friendly. However, no one spoke English, which made it difficult to discover information. The pictures definitely make the rooms look bigger and brighter. The lighting is quite dim even with all the lights on. Also, the A/C is centralized making the panels in the room useless and the room uncomfortable to be is due to being way too hot.

Booked for smoking room as listed on Expedia by the hotel, and had also communicated with the them before arrival. When we checked in, we were told it's a non-smoking hotel?! Quite disappointing that the hotel did not communicate this before the stay...

After checking in (rooms were not ready), we continued our scene seeing. When we requested for our room keys, staff wasn't attentive and requested for multiple verifications again, until the night duty manager came over to resolve matter. Nothing much on the room service menu. Otherwise, location is very serene and quiet, very near Disneyland, and the Shanghai Village.

Great size room and fantastic buffet breakfast. Great variety of dishes to choose from.

Vending machines have snacks and beer in the lobby.

Robot waiter is a cool novelty which can bring your room service meals to your door.

Probably only the thing I could fault is that the lighting in our bathroom and room was a bit on the low side. Not a complaint, was just a matter of getting the right lights on to read etc.

Overall, great location to Disneyland and would definitely stay again.

I like the modernity of the hotel, although the lobby gets very chilly in Winter with no heaters on and limited areas to sit and enjoy a drink, even though they seem to have a bar there. When we check in, were told by the staff that the hotel are all non smoking room and were given low floor despite we checked in early. We loved this hotel. Although it is about a half hour drive from the airport there is a regular shuttle bus. The hotel is modern and clean with fabulous breakfast and evening buffets. The staff are very efficient and all support staff are friendly and helpful. Both the accommodation and food are very reasonably priced. It is not far from the metro for access to the city centre. If we lived closer we would just go and enjoy the hotel. Thank you for making our stays so enjoyable. We stayed there before and after a cruise. Perfect.

Such a beautiful hotel! We absolutely loved this hotel! Perfect rooms with plenty of amenities in the hotel and the perfect spot if you’re traveling to Disney. The Shuttle bus too and from runs every half an hour from about 2 hours before park opening to 2 hours after which is amazing if you want to be early to queue up and if you’re staying around to do some shopping outside of the park. The breakfast options were amazing and the staff were also lovely. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more if I wanted too!

Liked pretty much everything about the property apart from the location being far from everything.

Didn't like that they charged my card the listed price of the room the day before, and then when I got their they wanted 1000rmb!? This makes no sense if I've already paid for the room. They gave me back 300rmb the next day when I was leaving, so the way I see it they owe me money!

The transportation was very weak while returning from expo the hotel shuttle didnt come for one hour to pick me up and hotel employee did not want to pay for taxi fare I got to come to hotel!
The next day I had to go to expo and hotel shuttel was not there to pick us up they asked a cab and tried not to pay for it.

We booked this hotel because it is close to Disneyland and the hotel provides free shuttle bus service to Disneyland.

The room is spacious. We had the family room with 2 queen size beds. The furnishing was very new and clean. We feel that the lights were too dim. The brightest we could adjust was still dim for us.

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. It has a great spread from cold to hot foods.

Overall service of the hotel was really good. Front desk and concierge staff members were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was lovely and new. Very grand. Our room was very spacious and the bedding super comfy. Housekeeping was great. Pool was good. Kids club was not what I was expecting. It was just a play area for kids to play in. Not an actual kids club where you leave them and they are entertained by staff. The kids still had fun in it. The breakfast was great with plenty of variety. We also had the buffet dinner there which we found good value and food fresh and tasty.

There is a convenience shop right across the road of the entrance. Great for snacks, drinks and ice-cream. Very cheap.

The free drop off at the airport was great. The driver did ask for a tip though when he dropped us off at the airport.

The hotel is clean and modern. Good amenities, soft bed and linen, so comfortable, good selection of breakfast, staff at the reception are friendly and friendly, with luggage storage and free busses to Disneyland and airport. Nearby metro, if you miss bus, can walk to metro to take train to Disneyland or airport. RMB 500 deposit upon check in but will refund upon check out. Will stay again in future.

it is a very modern looking hotel and is close to PVG and Disney. i had just 2 issues. There is nothing near the hotel, no resturants so need to travel. The family room on floor 2 had no direct sunlight window, our window opened onto a passage with AC units. Overall it was ok for disney as the free shuttle was good and free transfer to PVG

Super friendly staff! Although their English was not the greatest, they tried their best to assist us, such as call taxis (which is next to impossible in Shanghai...). Facilities were modern and they had a cute robot that did snack deliveries. Lots of vending machines on the main floor with essentials and foreign exchange machine. The buffet was yummy too! Although room service was nice and did their best, when we first arrived to our room, the toilet was not cleaned properly as there was a small piece of poop in the bowl and the toilet paper roll was clearly used. As well, it's insane how laundry was so expensive. There's also nothing around to do as it's located in a primarily factory area. Thank goodness the subway was close by which was convenient to get to downtown Pudong. Hotel close to Disney with free shuttle and PVG. If you like cheap beer then walk over to the nearby convenience store.

Staff is very helpful, especially James Z from the concierge desk. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I found the rooms a little dark. Could use more lighting. Easy and quick check in. Nice staff. Good value and close to Disneyland. The only thing I didn't like is that the bick up Airport shuttle bus stop in terminal 1 so you would have to walk from T2 and you might miss the bus and need to wait for extra hour.

Excellent hotel with close proximity to Shanghai Disneyland. Hotel provided free shuttle service too and from Putong Airport and Disneyland. Everything was excellent here. I would rate 5 stars for this hotel but I deduct half star due to the freezing cold lobby/1st floor (temps set at 16 degrees Celsius) and the Wifi is terrible. Otherwise, I loved Novotel.

Everyone was so friendly, from bus drivers to reception to cleaners. The hotel is very clean with great hospitality. free shuttle to Airport and Disneyland is a plus point.

Location was great for Disneyland definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a trip for Disney Shanghai, free shuttle to and from as well as to and from the airport. Hotel staff extremely helpful and try their best to help out those who do not speak their language. Bar service in lobby great for ending the night. 10/10

Very nice. Although we couldn’t get the AC cool enough for us to sleep. I heard that the government controls the building temperature.
