I made a normal breakfast plate without exgerating but in order to rush to my work i made small sandwich with remaining few cheese and bread to take so food not wasted!

I always stay at this hotel when visiting Castellon. Good location for the train & bus station and for catching the tram to Grau for those who like the sea. Easy walk to the centre of the city This is a nice clean hotel. You can choose to upgrade to a room with a terrace which I always do as for me it makes for a more relaxed stay. I can't comment on the breakfast offering as I don't eat at the hotel. The one observation I have this time is that the towels are not great quality, quite thin due to their age I guess.

Really nice hotel. Room very clean and comfortable. Very close to the city centre as well. Staff is really polite, but I asked for the laundry service at the reception and for some reason the clothes I had were not collected from my room.
Also had some issues with the shower. Water was either too cold or too hot. Something wrong with the water heater I would imagine...

Hotel staff very rude. Reluctant to serve you. Quite a lazy dismissive attitude towards customers unless your Spainish and then you get preferential treatment!! Witnessed this being on the receiving end many times. Did not enjoy being treated this way and paying for it!

A 2-night stay so that I could explore the city and also go to the Sunday Villarreal CF fútbol game.

Very nice, comfortable room, great shower, and a friendly, helpful staff. And it's a great location that's right across from the train station and easy walking distance to the sites of the central area. Also close to tram so that it's easy and convenient to get to the beach area. Perfect.

This is a very high quality hotel in a great location. It's directly next to the main train station and conveniently located half way between downtown and the university. Not a good choice is you are in town for the beach though. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff are friendly, professional and flexible. Breakfast was excellent.

Very comfortable stay, ideally located adjacent to the coach and train station, with the tram stop nearby.
Excellent bathroom. No balcony in the standard rooms (as in the photo's). Didn't stay for breakfast. No kettle in the room, i took my own, but there's a minibar fridge.

I stayed here with two girlfriends over Benicassim festival. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the family room we booked - it was extremely spacious with plenty of storage space, and had everything we needed. The staff was really lovely and accommodating, giving us directions every day, bringing up things we asked for (such as a kettle, which doesn't come with the room), towels etc.

The only thing I would say is the gym is absolutely tiny - it has a shaky treadmill, a bicycle, mats and a few weights, all in an area of about 10 square feet. There's also a terrace people tend to skip on, and the sauna tends to be off - you have to request to have it turned on, although I'm sure this isn't a problem. We found the price really reasonable as well, and a really convenient location (right in front of the train station). For Benicassim, the shuttles stopped right in front of the hotel.

We would definitely stay here again.

Clean hotel in both public areas and bedrooms themselves. Had room on 6th floor for four nights - pretty quiet except for the usual inconsiderate guests on occasion but nothing too disruptive. Friendly efficient staff. Parking available underneath hotel at €12 per night. Corte Inglés 5 minutes away as well as local supermarkets. 15 minutes walk to centre through pretty Parca Ribalta and close also to University which was our aim. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel, beautiful town

I was visiting my son who is on an erasmus year and going to the local university .The hotel Luz met all of my expectations. The staff are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.My room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. The hotel is central- next to the train station and right beside the tram line which brings you ot the town centre and to the grau (beach/port ) area. The other direction (3 stops ) is the University.

The Castelleno de la plana is a beatiful town with nice buildings, wonderful beach , lovely tapas bars and restaurants. It's an authentic town so not too commercial and certainly not too touristy and inexpensive. Kind of nice that very few people speak English although the hotel staff do. Transport is excellent by day with trams and busses. Trams stop at 10 pm and taxis are scarce enough so best to have the taxi company number as they send cabs quickly to you.

There's lots to do in Castellon and renting a bike is a good way to get around. Best to register in advance of trip for city bikes. Bennicassim is close and accessible by bus. Valencia is an hour by train . I thouroughly recommend Castellon and hotel Luz if you are visiting the region.

Very nice hotel with comfy beds and power rain shower. It was 15-20mins walk in to the centre though and after 3 nights stay this was a bit annoying. The hotel is in front of the bus station however in winter there are hardly any services running so was not worthwhile to be closeby. No breakfast included in our room rate

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. The hotel is opposite the bus and train station but little noise at all. The restaurant was excellent Michelin Bib Gourmand and Repsol Sun so are there each of four nights. 10 mins walk into centre and 15 mins to beach by tram.

This was a spur of the moment decision, but so glad we chose it. The only minus is that it is on a corner of the street, and they have to keep the blinds down all day for privacy in the restaurant. Having said that, it was very clean and airy, and I cannot recommend the restaurant too highly. The food was amazing and we could not believe the excellent value for money. Well worth a visit!

Nice hotel but far from the beach- 20 min drive. Staff are polite but not friendly. No ironing facilities in room or tea/coffee making facilities in the room so anything other than a 1-2 day stay becomes quite uncomfortable.

We did have great difficulty locating the hotel - the individual Hotel sign disappeared and eventually after an hour touring the town we stopped and asked staff in another hotel for directions. She said it was difficult to explain due to all the small roads but the best thing was she told us to look for signs for the train and bus stations. The hotel was directly opposite next to the Europa Hotel. This should be made very clear on the web site. Apart from that the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good although the evening meal menu we felt was slightly too limited. The rooms and beds were comfortable although pillows in Spain in General are not particularly comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and we would definitely recommend it. It was very clean and modern and the rooms were a good size and had air con and free wifi. the hotel is just across the road from the rail and bus station so was perfect for us as we just wanted to stay somewhere to break up the rail journey from Girona to Alicante. The town centre is very nice and about a 10 minute walk away through a pretty park and there are a couple of little bars near by which serve sandwiches and snack meals, a Consum supermarket is about 100 metres away from the hotel entrance. Only one small negative is that the busy road at the front of the hotel can be a bit noise as the buses start very early in the morning so if you are a light sleeper you might want to ask for a room at the back.

Hotel Luz is an excellent choice for travel to Castellon, especially if you have business in the city. While it isn't in the center of Castellon or near the beach, it is directly opposite the bus/train station and near the tram that can take you to the university. The rooms are clean and modern, and the breakfast buffet was lovely. My favourite part was the restaurant Aqua which had a brilliant dinner service and excellent food.

A very good modern hotel with some novel ideas. The room had no kettle and the hotel said that there was not one available however a set of cups tea and coffee were available. The room had a microwave that got extremely hot on the outside but nothing actuall got hot inside the micro wave.

We stayed her for the FIB festival and whilst it is a 7 km journey to fib we managed to share taxis every night. The beach is walkable but in the heat not recommended two buses make it easy tho, the number 9 and then the Grau bus reception will draw the maps for you.

Food and staff are exceptional at any time of day. I would say if you want space comfort and cool rooms this was a great hotel for the money.

We booked this hotel on a down night of our trip. We weren't expecting much. Just neede a stopping point. We were pleasantly surprised. There was ample parking, the place was easy to find, and it was clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked the bus station so it was nothing special, but for what we needed it was perfect.

Very convenient

Situated opposite the bus and train station, this hotel is exceptionally located for those travelling in the Catalunya and Valencia regions. Whilst it is not close to the beach, this has its benefits as it is quiet and not very \"touristy\" and the proximity to station means most places are easily reached by bus, train or taxi. Rooms were modern, clean and well-furnished. Only complaint would be that it was slightly expensive given the lack of views from the rooms but, all in all, I couldn't fault it.
