We often use the Clayton when flying out of Dublin if we have a very early flight as we live up on the north coast and it saves us leaving in the early ours of tbe morning to travel down.
It is easy to get to. Just off the motorway, offers airport parking with plenty of spaces, and has an excellent shuttle service.

The buffet breakfast was not very well controlled. One family beside me (two parents and three kids) were constantly going back to the buffet and bringing back plates of food that was not eaten. Two hours after I had left the dining room, I encountered the family returning to their room with plates of food. This behaviour should be better controlled. We are all paying for this bad behaviour.

We only stayed here for one night as our flight was at 6:40 am. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport that runs every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. It is a very nice and clean hotel with two restaurants on-site.

The stay was wonderful as always. We paid for the late checkout for 2pm to “enhance our stay”. At 12:30 we got a call asking when we were leaving and I informed her that we had the late checkout. She found it in the system, great! Within the next 30 mins we had two different housekeepers knocking at the door asking when we were leaving. My son went down to get a drink and came back to the key not working. Please make sure that all staff know that you enhanced their stay. So we won’t feel like we’re being pushed out the door.

The shuttle was great, and check in was polite and prompt.

Cleanliness was a bit of an issue- of the two large towels that were hanging, one had lipstick smears or similar on it. The cups and spoons hadn't been washed properly.

The 'smart' TV wasn't connecting to the wifi and Netflix wouldn't load as a result. We tried to ring reception to enquire but got no answer.

I really enjoyed staying at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport! The hotel was very clean, the rooms were comfortable, the bedding was warm and cozy, the water pressure was refreshing, and the coffee, tea, water, and cookies provided were a nice touch! I really appreciated the free transportation to and from the airport. That convenience saved us time and money and was so appreciated when our plane was delayed, and we arrived late at night.

The only confusing thing is that there are 2 Clayton Hotels near the airport and at first I wasn't quite sure which one we were staying in. I had to look it up to be sure. In the future, when advertising, that might be important to clarify or make clear to the patrons. (Maybe they did and I just missed it!)

Anyway, the hotel was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone in the area.

Room booked and paid for was a deluxe room but ended up in an accessible room - this makes me uncomfortable as I hate to think I’m taking one from someone needing it. I hoped as deluxe we would have the coffee maker we had once during stay and also a bath but neither were provided this time. Room had a draught coming from somewhere and we could hear the bad wind outside within the room / bathroom whistling all night. Shut bathroom door to try and help this. Everything was low down due to accessible room and light switch to bathroom was on other wall from bathroom within room. Nice amenities - kettle/tea coffee selection and biscuits as well as free water a nice touch. Bed was comfy and enough pillows for choice. Shuttl to airport very good as always on way from and to airport. Just wish we knew a bit more of a timeframe to avoid waits outside in bad weather.

Nice clean hotel. Room was clean and spacious. I appreciated the frequent shuttle that ran to and from the airport. The staff at the Italian restaurant were very friendly and helpful. There was no vegan dinner dish on the menu so the waiter/host asked the chef what he could prepare and I ended up with a delicious pasta dish with vegan cheese on the side. I appreciated the hours that the bar and restaurant were open until as I arrived later in the evening. My only complaint was that my room was really chilly and the thermostat didn’t seem to work. By the time I figured this out, it was too late to ring for help from the front desk as I just wanted to go to bed. So not sure if the thermostat really didn’t work or if I just couldn’t figure it out. Despite that, I’d stay here again.
