Gracie Art Hotel was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for my short visit to Beijing. It is located right on the edge of the 798 Art Zone which offers a lot, although it seemed like most attractions close pretty early and the lighting on the paths late at night is very dim. The staff was very helpful in checking me in and ordering cabs and finding late night food or drinks. Would recommend!

I stayed at the Gracie Art Hotel 798 for 2 nights. The location is great if you'd like to explore the 798 Art's district … just outside the door, you are on the edge of the huge art district area. Hotel was decorated great and had everything I needed for a comfortable 2 nights. Some great common rooms to hang out in for reading and/or socializing. Breakfast buffet was great way to start the day and had dinner one evening which was nice. The staff English was so-so, but was able to figure out what I needed.

Lovely small boutique hotel in the very interesting 798 Art District. Its a short walk to a more-upscale shopping district and the Beijing subway from which one can access to the rest of the city. Some amenities are a bit lacking primarily because it is such a small hotel, but all of the basics are covered. The hotel art collection is impressive in its variety and beauty. Hotel staff is top-notch: professional, caring, and very friendly! I can't say enough good things about the front of house (front desk and doormen), housekeeping, and restaurant personnel.

48 hour layover in Beijing so chose to visit the art zone. The hotel is in the zone and everything is walkable. The staff are terrific and the hotel is a really comfortable boutique property. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Great service, good food and big rooms.

Amazing staff, great service. We got upgraded to a bigger room for free when we checked in. Breakfast was stellar and the area is Bejings best. Art, museums, shops and tons of restaurants in a truly unique area that must be experienced. It's close the the aiport so if you only have a day to spend in Bejing, this is the place. I highly recommend staying here.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was beautiful -- high ceilings, good windows, huge soft bed, amazing bathtub. The heat and wifi worked well, plenty of plugs and surfaces, and the drawers and closets were full of toiletries and extras (I used a robe, slippers, hairdryer, water kettle, fridge, toothbrush, razor, soap...). The main reason I chose this hotel is the location, and it did not disappoint either. Thank you 格瑞斯酒店!

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff went the extra mile to make sure that I enjoyed my short stay, from providing written directions to my destination on the subway to walking me out to my taxi. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but will return to stay at this hidden oasis in the central of chaotic Beijing when I return. A wonderful location surrounded by beautiful galleries, street art and cute restaurants.

A stone’s throw from art precinct.

The hotel lobby and room were beautifully decorated with art pieces. We like the high ceiling in the room however this also meant that getting it heated properly in winter is difficult. Upon request, the hotel provided a portable heater. The neighbourhood is a little run down but is well located if you are looking to spend time in the nearby art precinct. They provide a quality cooked breakfast (choice of continental, American, South East Asian, Japanese & Chinese). The cab fare from the airport is only CNY70, being halfway between airport and Beijing central. The nearest ATM is quite a distance away.

Very unusual but very pleasant

As most people have said, not the easiest to find so top tip, find the East entrance with the big \"798\" above it that frequently appears on the news (photo uploaded to help). When facing that from the outside, the hotel is about 400metres left with the entrance down the side road. Disappointingly, we booked it because the site states \"airport shuttle\" but that's a myth, I'm afraid. They did offer to transport us for RMB (YUAN)400.....how kind ! In any case it's a short journey. A stocked fridge free of charge is a nice touch. Rooms are cosy and bed very comfortable. The heating in the public areas could do with a bit of attention...it was cold....but if not a bit overpriced, this is a lovely hotel. Lots to see around in the Art Zone but be careful...it's easy to get lost so keep your bearings!

Interesting neighborhood. Staff were amazing! They located the person who had my backpack mistakenly and sent staff to switch bags with her at the train station (all while I was out walking and calming down!).

The hotel was just ok but given the price asked was not up to par. Also, the restaurant was closed so alternative breakfast offered was not great which had to be brought to room as no eating space. with the renovations also a lot of dust drifted around and noisy with work late and early !!. I understand business but a few changes could have make workable. also not offered any reduction in price due to closure. the art on the walls is nice.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. The hotel restaurant is quite good. My favorite hotel and area in Beijing. And if you want to get to the city center, just take a taxi to the closest metro station.

Great little gem...

A bit hard to locate but once found, it was a great stay. Interesting art work everywhere and room was really spacious and nice. Breakfast was delicious but slow as they only had one waiter. Overall would highly recommend.

A motel in disguise

They did a good job using good deco to disguise the shabbiness of the hotel. When you look closely, nothing but motel quality furnitures and room conditions. The bathroom looks dirty. Plus you won't be able to get a taxi to the front of the hotel. You have to go to the street. It is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The only good thing is the free breakfast. They call it Continental breakfast but it is actually pretty fancy and you can order good food. There are tons of good 4-star hotels in Beijing. I would definitely stay away from this one unless you are expecting a motel quality with 4-star price.

Lots of minor problems

First off, the map location is totally wrong. Actual location is past the NE corner of 798, near the \"D-PARK\" complex, near two large round tanks. Our cab driver dropped us 2-3km away, and the hotel was really unhelpful with directions, alas, so it took us a long time to find it.

The hotel is visually pleasant but lacking in certain reliability issues. There was no hot water for our first hour there, and the A/C never quite worked well enough to cool the bed area. Once the hot water came back, the temperature in the shower oscillated wildly between too-hot and too-cold.

There's nothing right near the hotel (can't even buy water at night) and the 798 district, which is 5-10 min walk away, is most lively in the afternoon.

Breakfast was great.

One annoying thing was that the hotel participates in \"dynamic currency conversion,\" which is a way for them to make more money without most people noticing, by charging your credit card in your home currency at a high exchange rate. Be sure to opt out, and complain about this!

My room was surprisingly large, and well-furnished. Staff was helpful and friendly, wifi was good. The hotel is hard for taxis to find; be ready to put your driver on the phone with the hotel. I arrived at 10 PM, and the bar and restaurant were closed; minibar offered no food, and the neighborhood didn't seem to have any late-night food options, so don't come late and hungry.

If you are in Beijing and want to connect to the thriving art and design scene in 798 and the nearby village of Caochangdi, this is the place to be. As well as being connected to the high level of cultural \"stuff\", there are also street vendor food stands and a large local market with everything - whole hogs, cement, supplies for migrant workers, vegetables, live poultry and fish, tools, housewares, etc., right around the corner.

This is a relatively new artsy boutique hotel located within the 798 Art District. The only drawback is the location which is set back from the main street, hence hard to locate at night. Please also note that it is a distance from downtown CBD area.

Location: 798 area, convenient if u want to spend more time in 798, but otherwise not much in that area, and not much dining / shopping choices closeby. Hotel cleanliness & amenities is good. Quality of service varies from person to person, some good some not so good, but generally ok. Breakfast is ok but not that great (and exactly the same everyday).

Great peaceful alternative to the usual western 5*

Absolutely beautiful little gem in a slightly remote area of Beijing. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing. Grace suite was astonishing and restaurant was first class. We usually go to the Grand Hyatt or the Fairmont in Biejing but decided to try this one. I will most probably return there from now on. The only problem was to find the hotel initially and to explain to the taxi drivers each time we came back. The hotel site should have a better direction page that can be printed or screenshot on a portable device. All the crew spoke good English .

Cool hotel but far away

This hotel is really nice! Simply said. But as the interior design is cool they play gangnam style music. Their staff hardly speaks english. The area is interesting but out of 10 taxi drivers only one knew the location.

Could have done better staying elsewhere

The staff was extremely friendly, but they seemed to be on their job for the first day and without prior training. (I meant the *entire* staff.) Despite being in District 798, the blocks surrounding Grace is completely dead at night. The bathroom is disappointing: the entire bathroom floor was soaked for hours after I took a shower and made the toilet and sink rather difficult to get to.

And what's with giving me a bottle of used body wash - left over from the previous visitor? I didn't notice until it was too late to request a new bottle.

Pleasant and comfortable hotel.

The receptionist was helpful in providing directions to the taxi driver at Beijing International Airport who did not know where the hotel was located despite me passing him the address. The room I had was comfortable although the design of the open shower/toilet meant there was water everywhere on the bathroom floor after each shower. This meant there was water damage to the bottom of the (timber) bathroom skirting/door. The staff at reception on my late arrival were friendly, patient and helpful. The male staff member at the restaurant in the morning was also very polite and more than accommodating to my request for a 'fast' breakfast as I had a flight to catch. It's a pity I only literally stayed for about 10 hours overnight on a transit stop in Beijing. Would have loved to stay longer at the hotel otherwise.

Lovely boutique hotel in a different location

Grace Beijing is a beautifully designed hotel in the heart of the 798 Art District of Beijing. This is convenient for the airport (only a 20 minute taxi ride) and for wandering around the lovely art district, however it is not particularly convenient for Beijing in general. Taxis do not frequent this area as often as other hotels I have stayed in. This means that sometimes you have to wait up to an hour for a taxi, and in bad weather even longer. Taxis are also reluctant to return you to this hotel, especially late at night. The hotel is also not very well set up for tourists in terms of booking trips etc. On the positive side, the decor is stunning, the breakfast is delicious and the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful.

清掃がされていない

デザイナーホテルということで期待していましたが、ホテルの入り口から客室まで清掃がされていないことに驚きました。フロントのチェックインカウンターの横は埃やゴミが目立ち、廊下は虫の死体が多くありました。客室は豪華で入ったときは印象が良かったのですが、禁煙のホテルなのにタバコ臭かったです。バスタブ、シャワールーム、洗面所のどこも黒カビだらけで気持ちが悪かったです。日々掃除していない表れです。本当に残念なホテルでした。二度と泊まりません。

예쁜호텔

798아트지구에 있어서 관광하고 쉬기에는 참 좋은곳이였어요. 다만 그주위가 차가 많이막히는 구간이라 출퇴근시간, 특히 저녁시간에 차가많이막혀요. 아무래도 이곳은 이 주위 관광계획중일 몇일간만 묵는게 최적인것같아요. 그래도 호텔도이쁘고, 깨끗해요. 다만 비치되어있는 애머니티가 그리 좋지않아서 개인적으로 샴푸랑 바디는 가지고가는게 좋을것같네요. 스테프도 친절하고 아주 편안하게 잘지내다왔네요. good!

정말 객관적 후기

제가 북경에서 대학졸업하고나서 출장으로 오랜만에 갔는지라 좀 비싼 좋은호텔에서 보내야지 하는 생각에 갔는데 접근성은 진짜 최최최 악이에요 완전 변두리지역이에요 왠만하면 비추합니다. 그리고 조식도 엄청 진짜 그냥 빵 몇개주는 수준이에요. 솔직히 위생상태는 좋으나 접근성이 정말 최악입니다 주변에 편의시설 아무것도 없고 이쪽가는길이 북경에서 제일 길막히는 도로중 한군데에요 참고하세요

Hyggelig hotell i 798 Art District. Vennlig og service innstillt betjening, som snakker engelsk. God seng. God frokost (velg mellom kontinental, Amerikansk, Kinesisk mm), samt middag ala carte.
Men - vanskelig å finne hotellet, (kom ikke opp i Didi appen), og feil markert på iPhone kart. Tips print ut kart og ta med på Kinesisk,
Totalt sett fin opplevelse, og sentralt hvis du skal besøke Art District.

798예술촌 초입에 위치하여 798관광에 아주 유리하였고, 호텔 자체도 짜임새있게 꾸려지고 객실도 넒직하였음. 호텔종사자들이 아주 친절하고 적극적으로 도와주는 자세가 매우 인상적이었음. 향후에도 북경 방문 기회가 있으면 재투숙 예정임.

Does not worth the price

I was interested in the discount rate of this hotel and reserved one night. However, I'm afraid and suspect that the original price is just a luering price to show the discount rate big. The room, especially the bath room is terrible, water comes very little from the shower and it is very difficult to adjust the temperature of the water...

Cozy and artistic boutique hotel in zone 798

Very nice and helpful staffs that made me feel very impressed. Only the hotel facilities (i.e. elevator) and room tidiness need to improve. Breakfast is fair and just don't expect it would be very full variety of choice and the Chinese style one was better. Overall it's a nice hotel if you want to stay around the zone 798, just think it's rate is a bit pricy.

Schönes und modernisiertes Art Hotel in altem Gebäude. Viel Stil jedoch noch nicht vollendet. Leider haben sie das Restaurant neu umgebaut und somit hatte es im Hotel keine Bar. Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, das Essen haben sie auf Wunsch aufs Zimmer gebracht. In der Umgebung nicht viel los.

깔끔하고 부티크 호텔이라 독특한 분위기였습니다.1인실은 조금 간단한편.. 그래서 가격대비 좀 비싸다고 생각했는데 2인실은 분위기도 그렇고 훨씬 낫더라구요~ 위치는 택시기사들이 모두 찾기어려워해서 항상 헤맸습니다..주소를 알려줘도 호텔 명함을 보여줘도 그렇더군요. 아침은 분위기 좋게 잘 꾸며놓고 메인메뉴 하나 고르고 빵 과일 시리얼은 뷔페식이라 양껏드실수있습니다. 직원들은 친절했구요, 택시가 찾기어려운것만 빼면 현지 호텔들보다 가격이 좀 나가긴 하지만나쁘지않네요~

조식 제공해주는 직원이 아주 친절했고, 호텔 전체가 이름답게 예술풍을 많이 풍겼고 주변에도 798이 바로 있어 여행하기에도 좋다. 다만 객실이 작아 1인이 사용하기에만 적당한듯하다.
미니 헬스장도 있어 간단하게 운동할 수 있다.
특히 계단쪽은 하늘색과 하얀색으로 칠해져서 그리스 느낌도 나고 이뻤다.
엘리베이터 문과 안쪽 타일은 마녀사냥의 그린라이트를 연상케했다.

旅行で行くなら空港から近くタクシーでの移動は便利です。昼間に歩くとギャラリーやちょっとアングラな雰囲気のお店やカフェが立ち並ぶオシャレなエリアです。ホテル内はキャンドルの灯りで照らされ、アーティスティックな絵画がいたるところに張り出されています。部屋はベッドがとても心地良くよく眠れました。しかし、ビジネスとなると地下鉄からのアクセスは良くないのと、部屋のデスクが小さく椅子の高さが低くて合っていないので仕事がし難いです。今回はビジネスでの渡航だった為、用途によって感想が分かれるところですね。朝食は洋食でビュッフェの品数は最低限でしたが、スタッフにフライドエッグを勧めてもらったのでお願いしたところ、小さなスキレットに丁寧に盛り付けられて半熟でも問題なく美味しくいただきました。

구글 지도 위치가 다릅니다! 정말 완전히 다른 곳으로 잡힙니다. 택시기사분들도 구글 표시 지역에 내려주는데 길 찾다가 열받아 죽을 뻔! 막상 길 알고나면 위치도 쉽습니다. 바이두지도에서는 제대로 잡힙니다.
