No staff were on site when we arrived at 17:00. No easy information available to help us check in. I had to ask one of the servers in the restaurant to translate a German note left on reception desk - which told me to ring a number to check in. So I had to make an international telephone call to then be told our room is unlocked, with the room key inside the room. There was zero information about our stay.
Pillows were large but uncomfortable.
Toilet in the bathroom in the room was continuously noisy/draining without flushing.
Interior is very dated with obvious sign of wear and tear.
No clear information if breakfast was included in our room fee and again, in the morning, no one was at the desk at 8am.
So I asked another guest about breakfast rules and was confidently told it was included. So we ate breakfast, then a woman appeared on the desk and in a very flustered and rude tone informed me I had to pay 27 euros for breakfast. I have no problem paying for the food, but this information needs to be readily available to guests and more staff presence and communication would solve this and the check-in problems ensure no further confusion with future guests.
The cost did not seem fair for the hotel room, which felt much more like a hostel, than a hotel.

Road weary and a bit confused I was greeted warmly, sorted out, as to local bank machines and my request to change rooms. The bar was and lacking my favorite predinner whiskey, the service made up for that.
A very nicely prepared pepper steak, perfectly prepared veggies and a nice red wine, put me to bed. Rooms were adequate and clean. A very nice breakfast sped me on my way in the morn.

Historic but could be updated
Having found the hotel (confusing one-way system in the town especially in the dark and no sign to the hotel parking area) the welcome was good although the receptionist had little English. Access to the rooms is via an stairway (no lift) and the room itself was accessed through a communal sitting area and was a little cramped. Hotel restaurant was Italian menu based, good and clearly popular locally. Good range of breakfast elements.

Nice hotel with some interesting features. Basic room but spacious, clean and newly refurbished. Very small bathroom in my room, but fine, although the shower cubicle was quite shabby although clean. Large common room with games etc. which might be fun if travelling with a group. Bar and restaurant downstairs looked nice but wasn't able to try as it's closed on tuesdays (as are many places in town). Good breakfast with lots of different things available. Friendly staff. Convenient location – 5 min walk to town centre, 5 min walk to the train station. Quiet, no traffic noise in my room which was facing the courtyard. Would stay here again.

Stor flot suite med ekstra værelse. Gammel stil med stuklofter gammel brædeovn, som må være ca 200 år gammel. Behagelige senge. Havde bestilt værelse med badekar, men det havde de kun 1 af og det var booket. Morgenmaden var minimalt, men der var det der skulle være. Beliggenhed var super, tæt på centrum og parken. Kan anbefale pizza restauranten som er i bygningen. Det er egentligt i pizza restauranten hvor vi spiste morgenmad.

Lidt gammeldags og lidt slidt hotel, men udmærket til prisen. Fornuftig morgenmad. Beliggenheden er super, da hotellet ligger centralt lige mellem de 2 gamle bydele i Rendsburg.

Noget slidt hotel , står at det skulle være en dobbeltseng, jeg vil nu kalde det en 3/4 seng , lige lille nok til to voksne . Morgenmaden ok , ikke det vilde udvalg , men man kunde spise sig mæt.

Ualmindelig langsom indtjekning. I forb. med indtjekningen blev vi spurgt, om vi ønskede at spise morgenmad klokken 07:00 eller 08:00. Da hotellet reklamerede med morgenmad fra 07-10, havde vi tænkt os kl.09, men det kunne absolut ikke lade sig gøre, så vi blev nødt til at spise morgenmad kl. 08. Der var to andre personer i restaurationen, da vi ankom kl.08, og da vi gik 08:30 igen, var der yderligere kommer to pers. mere. To gange var det nødvendigt ar bede serveringen om at tilse kaffemaskinen. Begge gange skulle personalet findes i deres rygehjørne i gården.

Værelset er dyrt til prisen kontra forhold. Receptionen lukkede før tid grundet fodbold, så da vi skulle checke ind var der ingen. Det resulterede i at der ikke var en nøgle til vores værelse og derfor kunne vi ikke låse værelset af.

Room service var ikke godt. Der var spindelvæv i loftet og ved lamperne. Vi bestilte en suite til 2. Der var pletter på gulvtæppet og på stolene, ens gardin holder røg ud af væggen da den ikke sad fast. Vores brusehovede kunne ikke køres op eller ned. Billederne af værelserne snyder meget.

Vi fandt hotellet temmelig nedslidt med manglende rengøring generelt. Vinduerne på værelset var temmelig beskidte og gulvtæpperne på gangene var plettede.

Virkelig en skuffende oplevelse, gammelt og nedslidt der lugtede af gammel kælder på værelset og af skimmelsvamp på badeværelset stoppet afløb i brusebadet og en udluftningder så ud som om der aldrig var gjort rent , da vi påpegede via tlf at det på ingen måde lignede det vi havde bestilt , fik vi at vide af billederne online ikke var deres hotel værelse , men bare billeder.
