We had an impromptu stay at the oasis hotel on our bikepacking adventure due to bad weather, and could not have been happier with our decision to stay here!
Upon arrival, Maree organised a safe and dry spot to store our bikes for the night, and even provided a clothes hoist to our room to dry out our gear.
The wonderful hot shower and comfy bed were both top notch.
A short walk to the local pizzeria for dinner was another great recommendation by Maree, to recharge for the day ahead.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ulladulla, and would gladly stay here again.

The room was small and the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. Even for a long weekend the cost of the room was way too expensive and you had to pay extra for any housekeeping. It came across as here is your key, see you when you leave, This was the forth time we stayed there but will not be back

The Oasis Inn proved to be a uniquely lucky and enjoyable find from a last-minute online search in an area we do not know at all well.

From the moment we pulled up in their roomy, garden-set car park, the whole feeling of the property was inviting and welcoming, everywhere set witfh lush gardens of semi-tropical plants, flowers and trees.

Similarly, the staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming; the room was ideally laid out with all emenities, and perfectly situated in a private garden-set courtyard, with a beautifully constructed"jungle-inset" pool" a few steps away under the trees; plus engaging "Rain-forest Walks" in the imaginatively[designed and superbly maintained gardens all round.

And all of this, just short walks from the picturesque Boat Harbour and its fishing fleet, to a variety of local restaurants and shops, and short drives to absolutely superb beaches....

This was a great expirience; hope to revisit some day, and meanwhile strongly recommend to our other family members.

Booked room in the afternoon to stay for same night - called literally 5 min later to extend to two nights when got told off that children couldn’t stay- I have a quiet 7 year old daughter and was advised that they will NOT take children - they would not help me and NOT refund even though I clearly made a mistake and everyone knew straight after paying through wotif.com
I got told with attitude that it is non refundable and that I INCONVENIENCED their property and pretty much they can’t do anything . Upon approaching customer service at wotif I was told the manager who I spoke to could authorise a refund - but they refused - after being chatting to Wotif for 1.5hrs whilst trying to find another accommodation they finally agreed to refund 215 out of 515 dollars - which I believe is the wotif fee that the customer service rep arranged for me …. Defenitely would not recommend the stay particularly how I was spoken too when I was confused about not being able to bring my daughter and at all times condenscending- believe me I apologised for making a mistake but that got the manager eleven more hyped up to talk rudely to me ! No empathy at all, no concerns about anyone but their money !!! Disgusting to charge 515 and then renting out rooms to someone else !! I would not book there … you probably have to pay more to leave there because they make up you took or broke something !

I was very disappointed with the property and my stay overall. Firstly I had to wait in reception for about 3 minutes before someone came to check me in. That was a bad sign. There was no contact less check-in offered. They advertise a jacuzzi and sauna but both were not available due to covid. It's been a year now, you should stop advertising them. We asked for a late checkout but was denied because "the room is booked for that day" even though they advertise that rooms are left vacant for 24hrs between stays. Pool was dirty with leaves, and not heated. The tiny ice cube tray was empty so we filled it only to find it had not frozen many hours later because the fridge was set to half power. The radio/stereo is absolutely filthy and the radio does not work. All this and they are charging a premium price. I have stayed in much better for much less. To top it off they put 2 bottles of water in the room for $2 each. Who's brilliant idea was that to make an extra 50 cents? Overall very disappointed

The staff here are lovely and caring. We happened to stay here when the bush fires were bad around Ulladulla and the owners looked after us very well. Even without electricity Marie still cooked breakfast for everyone in a dark kitchen when most people would have closed. We are definitely coming back once the bush fires are over.

Five stars?!! You must be kidding.

First, the obvious: this is at the very best, a 3-star hotel. Old, tired, with decor and furniture from when Australia was still a colony. Hosts are nice, but their knowledge of the hotel business is closer to Motel 6 than Ritz-Carlton. My (upgraded) room was small. The pool, loaded in a nice setting, was dirty and I was not able to use it. Breakfast is a joke. Price was outrageous for what this hotel is: I could easily pay half price for a nicer motel nearby. The positive: location, setting, TV size, jacuzzi. The negative: everything else.

Its our second visit , after our first visit I wrote such a good review that it was difficult to book for a while.

This visit: Excellent hosts, Great breakfast well worth the price, very comfortable rooms including the bed. Loved the pool and gardens. Make sure that you just sit in the gardens as the sun goes down and enjoy the bird life.

This place is a little bit special.

What a gem! Gracious hosts, delectable and imaginative meals, wonderfully comfy room, and a swimming pool/ jacuzzi with a surprisingly tropical ambience. Our bathroom was modern and well supplied. Pool gowns and towels provided. The coffee and tea making facilities included bickies. After our delicious mezze dinner (Patos style) and a leisurely sojourn in the inviting lounge area, we were pleasantly surprised to find a glass of port in our room. 10+ overall for this guest house.

Great little place to stay, clean and comfortable. Bathroom had been re-done. The room itself could do with a make over but was clean and tidy. The owners delivered 2 glasses of port every night on the house which was a nice touch. The restaurant food is very nice. Tapas style dishes which we liked due to the variety. Price of food and drinks was very reasonable. Would stay there again without any hesitation. Close to all facilities and the beach.

Our Valentine’s Day visit

We were only able to stay one night but we found the guest house to be more than we expected. On a very hot day in Ulladulla we were made very welcome by Alison, shown to our very comfortable room and greeted with a glass of champagne! Our room was just next to the beautiful pool and a swim to cool off was delightful. The room had everything we needed, air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan to sleep under. Very comfortable bed. In the evening we were treated in our room with glasses of port and chocolates. We are both in our late 70’s but we had a most wonderful Valentines Day visit. Thank you Ulladulla Guest House, we’ll be back. Pat and Neil, Canberra.

The room was lovely and opened onto the courtyard next to the pool.This made it a great place to chill with a cold drink and only a short hop into one of the nicest pools I've ever swam in. A glass of bubbly on arrival and chocolates and a glass of port in our room before bed each night made you feel very spoilt. The staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were very nice. I would also recommend the restaurant Elizan's for a very yummy dinner.

If you are reading this review thinking that I didn't have a wonderful time during my stay at Ulladulla Guest House or that the staff weren't entirely and unbelievably delightful or that the food wasn't delicious or that the attention to detail wasn't flooring or that the spa/pool isn't a magical retreat then you - my friend - are gravely mistaken.

I have given Ulladulla Guest House 5 stars because that is the most stars I am allowed to give.

Friendly staff. Nice pool. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, PO, beach, harbour, visitor centre and cinema. Excellent delicious breakfasts. Homely, well appointed comfy lounge with lots of papers, books and DVDs. Our room had a cute little balcony that overlooked the pool. The B&B incorporates a restaurant which we ate at one evening and had an excellent meal. Great cocktails. Staff were able to book us on a dolphin spotting tour and suggest places to see.

Beautiful, comfortable and quiet room. Great location. But a meanness about add ons, which they would have done better not to have provided. A welcome glass of "bubbly" on arrival was very low quality, and had to be taken on arrival which for us was 2pm - why not later? Turn down service with port and chocolates featured port an alcoholic would't finish and a chocolate my wife spat out after a small bite, it was so nasty. Not enough bread out to make toast at breakfast after only 1 small piece provided with bacon and eggs.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the guesthouse. It's like a hotel but with a B&B charm. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and my stay was peppered throughout with pleasant little surprises.
The guesthouse website's photos really don't do it justice. While the decor may be a little dated, the facilities are in excellent condition (e.g. bathroom and spa bath based on my stay in the 'luxury room'). The outdoor area is fantastic too, with a large deck, and wooden benches under a green canopy. I will definitely be coming back.

Quirky little hotel

This Quaint little hotel was such an enjoyable experience. My room opened onto the pool and had a little sitting area in the garden. The staff were excellent very helpful and welcomining.

Lovely experience

Very warm welcome, room very clean and spacious. Nice lounge area with fire, lots of books and music to choose and DVD's to borrow. Artworks by local artists added to the decor throughout.
Appreciated the welcoming bubbly on the deck overlooking the pool and garden and the nightly port and chocolates were a nice touch.
Staff at breakfast a bit confused and unprofessional, but overall a very pleasant experience.

Overpriced

Basic guest house with aged interior. Friendly well-meaning staff, but untrained. Basic breakfast included. Comfortable stay in town, no views or ambiance - would be reasonable for a more modest price. Unfortunately, feeling like you've been swindled detracts somewhat from what would otherwise have been seen as the clumsy charm of the place.

Impromptu Weekend Away

It was a rushed booking as it was the long weekend. When we got there, the owner was lovely, gave us a tour around the hotel and showed us to our rom as well a glass of bubbly on arrival!
