Perfect location to stay

The location of the hotel was excellent even there was a road construction next to it. The receptionists were so helpful and polite. The room was cold for me and they heated after I complained. First of all I was confused and thought the contraction of the room were unfinished. The ceiling, unpainted walls... One of my friend said that it is kind of an Eindhoven, Holland style. Still didn't understand.

Good clean hotel in the centre of Eindhoven on one of the shopping streets.
Very friendly and helpful staff gave us several recommendations of places drink etc.
Just a note that reception isn't staffed from about 11.30am to 2pm so we couldn't drop our luggage off earlier but only a minor issue

The hotel is good, but worst thing happened during my stay because my car got broken in. The hotel doesn't have parking slot so advised me to park at Q-Park just right across the hotel. The overnight the car got broken into...long story short, the hotel stuff was not very keen on helping to deal with police reporting, but eventually helped. Overall experience about hotel was just fine. Although it was located at good location, but I think I won't go again because of the car incident and the initial cold attitude of the hotel reception when I asked for help.

This hotel was awesome. Great location in Eindhoven to be near shops, restaurants, and the station but still quiet. It was very clean and comfortable as well. Overall the hotel staff were friendly, and very helpful. Guido at the front desk was especially great and really made our stay even better. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 days. Location is perfect. However if traveling with kids or with a lot of luggage do not use the penthouses as you have to walk up 20 stairs. Our place heating was broken. Kids had to wake up middle of the night shivering.. Ended up getting sick. We waited patiently for it to be fixed.. But all three days.. It was broken. Out of frustration I voiced my disappointment.. Only to be followed up by \"feel free to leave and go to another hotel\" comment from the staff. At least at the last day we resolved the issue by getting two portable heaters. Paying $300 a night.. And I had the worst experience in a hotel from 20years of traveling.

Conclusion.. Their hotel rooms seemed nicer and without issues. Traveling with family... I recommend somewhere else.

Great (studio apt) in the hotel, fantastic staff!

Stayed here 3-5 September and was really happy! Great value for money, highly recommended (and I'm a very frequent business traveller).

I had to check in at 11pm when the hotel reception is closed but the staff were extremely helpful via email and let me check in late at no extra cost by sending me a code for a keysafe situated outside the hotel.

The studio apartment (which was actually listed on hotels.com/expedia as a loft apartment) was perfectly clean and spacious enough. The kitchen area was adequate with glasses, plates, pans etc. Bed was really comfortable which I find very rarely when I travel!

Wifi perfect, location nice and central. (6 minute walk to the beursgebouw trade show hall that I needed to be in and about the same to the train station.)

The staff were amazing, helpful, polite, very happy with such a positive attitude! A big thank you and special mention to Lola on reception who helped me with a few things and we had a great chat etc!

Fabulous little boutique hotel with everything on your doorstep. Right in centre of Eindhoven yet a very quiet street at night. I stayed for one week in this hotel and not once did I get disturbed by noise inside or out. Staff a so welcoming and helpful. Would definitely return 100%

We were greeted, late evening, by one of the reception staff (I think Camilla) with a warm, friendly welcome. Just what you need after a long day's work. The room was excellent, walk in shower, coffee machine, etc. Location is closed to a range of shops and restaurants. FOC parking is available across the road between around 9pm and 9am. Breakfast is served at a little bistro next door (from 7am) Unfortunately I can't comment on that as we had a very early start.

Excellent hotel just away from the lively spots for a quiet nights sleep but still very close to walk everywhere. Staff were excellent and couldn't fault them. Wardobes were pretty dusty but I wasn't bothered about that. It may just be something the more sensitive among you might complain about. Comfy bed, spacious room and close to an amazing Chinese/French restaurant called mood! Would highly recommend both the hotel and Mood!

i visited eindhoven for a couple of relaxing days during my summer holiday.
the location of the hotel was ideal for me, extremely central, if a 10 min walk from the train station. the room was absolutely beautiful and super clean, definitely the best i’ve stayed in so far. the staff was very friendly and helpful.
all in all i am very glad i picked hotel lumiere for my stay and would definitely recommend it.
eindhoven itself was charming with lots of lovely little shops exactly what i was looking for. i would strongly recommend a visit to bagel and beans for breakfast or a light bite.

Eindhoven is a quiet , non touristy city. This hotel was on the edge of the pedestrian zone, very convenient for everything we needed to do . The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and spacious. A buffet style breakfast was available at the cafe next door - also very god, with friendly & accommodating staff

This hotel was recommended to me by a work colleague for my business trip to Eindhoven. It was a good recommendation.
Hotel had everything I needed, was centrally located and the staff are very friendly.
Just two things to note - reception isn't open 24/7 and the hotel doesn't do breakfast. Not a problem for me but best to be aware.

Stayed in a studio. Absolutely wonderful experience. It was nice and quiet. The apartment was overlooking a street, but there was minimal street noise. Everything you need is in the studio. They even have a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules in the kitchen. Such a central location too. Bus and train station is about 7 minute walk and the shopping area is a 1 minute walk. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nice decor, polite/efficient staff and wi-fi perfect. Unfortunately let down by the cleanliness of the room - marks on the sheet (looking suspiciously like blood), big scrapes on the floor where the bed had previously been moved, dust everywhere, including big thick balls of it on door hinges, ceiling panels etc.

My room key did not work; therefore, I was locked out of my room and the building from about 10 PM until 12:30 AM. They did not have a good system for this calamity. Although everyone was very nice I felt I should've been offered a compensation such as a free night or even a free breakfast. I did not ask for these and accepted their apologies.

My daughter and I stayed in a studio at Hotel Lumiere and absolutely loved it! It was spacious, newly decorated and absolutely perfectly located. The small kitchen had everything we needed, even though we only stayed there for two nights. Loved the Nespresso machine and coffee choices. It's just around the corner from a Spar grocery store.

We were very impressed that the day before our stay we received an email from this hotel welcoming us and giving some useful information regarding their facilities. This, and the positive attitude of the receptionist, made us feel valued as customers. Our room was large and very clean. It contained a small fridge, cd and dvd players, and tea and coffee facilities. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, which contained a separate bath and shower. However there was no door between the bathroom and bedroom; this seemed a bit unusual and meant that the television couldn't be heard properly if a bath was running. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street among some shops. There was some late night noise from pedestrians but that is to be expected to some degree in such a central location.

Clean and quiet hotel near train station

I found this hotel's location very convenient as it's only about 5 min to the train station. The lobby is much smaller than I am used to, but I found the staff friendly and the space inviting.

My room was on the first floor, so I could sometimes hear people talking in the lobby, but after 10 pm that noise always died down. Although you're near all the shops, they all closed around 6 pm and it was always quiet outside in the evening.

Bathroom and room were very clean. I kept the do not disturb sign up for my entire stay but the staff still left some clean towels and toilet paper hanging on my door knob every day in a bag; I found this thoughtful. There are no irons/ironing boards in the room, but the staff was happy to provide me with one very quickly when I asked.

The wifi was average; fast enough to stream netflix without any problems.

A breakfast buffet pass can be purchased for a little under 10 euro per day. Breakfast is served right next door at a nice, small bakery. The breakfast items included some Dutch breakfast pastries, muffins, yogurt, and orange juice. I would recommend eating there, but I would also recommend not signing up for the breakfast buffet pass. Instead, simply visit it and buy a muffin and an orange juice and whatever else you want. I doubt it will total more than 10 euro. If you want to eat 10 euro worth of food, I'm not convinced this bakery was the place to get your money's worth.

The hotel was great and I would highly recommend this place! Susan was the front desk person assisting us and she was fantastic -- very friendly & accommodating.The room was incredible, nicely decorated, and the bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. We got there early so we left our luggage at the front desk and by the time we came back for check in they were already placed in our room.

Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be staying at this hotel again if I'm ever in Eindhoven. Special thanks to Susan as her professionalism made the stay that much more enjoyable.

Hotel Lumiere is a nice hotel within 5-10min walk of the main train station in Eindhoven.

The staff are very helpful. One thing to be aware of is that the reception is not manned after 21.00, so if you're arriving after this time, you need to make sure that they are aware of this.

The rooms are clean and well equipped and I found that the free WiFi worked well. The only criticism that I have is that I found the room quite dark, even with the main lights on (although apparently there is a dimmer switch next to the bed, but this was not obvious - a dimmer switch at at the door would have been better).

Breakfasts are served at the bakers next door and include items from the main bakery counter. The coffee is good as well!
