We had a very peaceful stay! The place is in a nice secluded location but there is a shuttle to go to and from Central Ubud. The grounds are very calming and there’s a great selection of healthy food that made us feel very refreshed and recharged. We also took a great yoga class at the hotel!

Our stay at BeingSattvaa was incredible, and lots of aspects made it a really special stay in Bali.

The staff are a great credit to the hotel. We appreciated the effort from everyone to learn our names which made for a really personal experience. They checked in with us every day and we felt reassured by their enquiries about our plans, offers of help and advice on activities and the Ubud area. In particular, Soni, Komang and Dewa went above and beyond during our stay with their honest, personal interactions and were always approachable and knowledgeable.

The setting is unbelievably beautiful - difficult to truly capture in the photos! - with excellent facilities. We made use of the pool area, morning yoga, laundry service, and enjoyed excellent treatments in the spa. We were also very impressed with the food. The menu is wide-ranging and high quality. The focus of the hotel around being all-vegetarian, sustainable, authentic and local really resonated with our own values.

We would strongly recommend staying here. Thanks again for an unforgettable holiday!

BeingSattvaa Luxury Ubud is a very nice, clean, quiet (away from the city) resort. Staff (Dewa, Sony, Mona, July to name a few) are amazing, they are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely stay there again whenever we go back to Bali. This place is 100% vegan and we are not vegan but the food are amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay from the morning yoga and the freshly made breakfast, to the wild monkeys that visited in the trees outside our room. The staff was very accommodating and took great care of us. The location was a bit away from town but just enough. We were able to enjoy the quiet and peace and grab a quick ride into downtown Ubud for shopping and dining.

Cuisine options at the restaurant and the soups - truly delicious.
Super tranquil and beautiful grounds the flora and fauna here are great to see. Loved the frogs and birds and monkeys as the resort is set against the rainforest!
The pool is beautiful to swim in.
Customer service fantastic and loved how staff were there to pick us up from airport and take us to another hotel when we were done and be our personalised tour guide. All for small fee. We couldn’t have seen Bali easily without their support.
Room was lovely very comfy bed and beautiful surrounds. Loved the outdoor shower and toilet etc.

Near enough to Ubud town but a bit removed from the hustle of the main streets, which gives the resort a more authentic jungle villa feel.
Yoga included every morning at 7am at no extra cost - very good experience and instructors were very good.

The staff and the service was excellent, except that the food orders took longer than expected. The bathrooms and beds were clean. The property can use some upgrades, wood wardrobe was creaky and smelling of mold. Wifi can use some boosters too

At Being Sattvaa you feel well taken care of without feeling bombarded or pressurized. The staff is discrete,elegant, subtle and efficient. If you need something, they are available but you never feel they are obtrusive. In this respect , they have reached the perfect balance. The atmosphere is heavenly, peaceful and quiet. The rooms are lovely and the design is totally integrated with its surroundings. They have yoga classes every morning which we were not able to take advantage of but plan on enjoying on our next stay. This hotel is top notch, no doubt about it.

I absolutely loved this property. It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I love the natural environment, the beautiful gardens and all the facilities. My villa was exquisite, with a comfortable bed, large bathroom and bath, all amenities, including a plunge pool. I also felt welcomed and very cared for by all the staff, including Subba and Renuka. They have truly created a very rare and special retreat site.

So relaxing 10 out of 10

An amazing retreat and place to recharge the batteries. I spent a week here, beautiful tranquil setting overlooking jungle and rice paddies. Great accomodation and only minutes from the centre of Ubud. What made the place even more special was the staff from the moment I was met at airport till I was dropped off. Nothing was too much trouble. There attention to detail amazing. Had a birthday during my week there and have such great memories of it thanks to the efforts of all the staff who made it one to remember. Will definately go back.

A beautiful place

The retreat is a beautiful place. All indoor/outdoor, at one with nature. The staff loves to be helpful. Soni and Mona were wonderful. Our huge outdoor bathroom was amazing. The meals were delicious and presented as works of art. Sounds of nature everywhere. Beautiful pool deck. Free shuttle to center of Ubud available.

Forest setting, great villa and staff

The villas are located in an amazing forest setting with an onsite restaurant, yoga studio and swimming pool. Dealing with the staff was an easy experience from enquiring about transport to arranging our meals. Overall, we thought we got good value from our stay and the staff were super helpful when one of us came down ill.

The good stuff
- Beautifully kept villas (out one had an outside private bathroom)
- Friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff
- Nice little swimming pool
- Good complimentary beginners yoga sessions three times a week
- Fantastic vegan/vegetarian menu

Things to think about
- Location is 20mins out of town (regular complimentary shuttle but staff were flexible with time and location whilst we were there)
- Cost about AU$10 to get a taxi to the Villas from the town
- No TV in the room (didn't bother me at all)

Felt like a princess!

Service was wonderful here, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food and smoothies were delicious. I really enjoyed my room that had an outdoor bathroom and the lounging by the pool after breakfast. The spa downstairs is fantastic. I really liked that it was out of the way of the main street so that there was peace and quiet. There is a shuttle that will take you into town so you can shop or go to the monkey forest- you won't need much time at either one. I also arranged someone to take me to the closer rice terraces which was neat to see. Wonderful trip, would love to go back!

Paradise

Beingsattvaa vegetarian retreat villa is a paradise on the earth, located in an awsome garden full of exotic colourful flowers. We had a beautiful comfortable villa with a perfect view. Every day in the morning or afternoon we could practice yoga with a qualified teacher. After an individually composed breakfast we had a walk around the rice fields or one of the very nice hotel drivers dropped us to Ubud only 10 min from 'our paradice'. The staff was helpful,always ready to treat us individually espacially with the meals (we have a very special diet). The last day, after checked out we especially experienced Beingsattvaa villa staff kindness. When our driver from outside didn't come to drop us to the airport they imidiatelly organized a perfect driver who dropped us comfortably and very fast to the airport. Thank you so much again!

Wonderful, peaceful, amazing place

As soon as we arrived, we didn't want to leave! Staff was super friendly, remember our names, and went out of their way to accommodate our requests (eg serve half our breakfast early and remainder mid morning, making custom food off the menu). The entire property was spotless clean - can walk around bare feet all day and still have clean soles. Beds were super comfy and we slept like babies and the daily turndown service was lovely. Truly amazing and can't say enough good things. Highly highly recommended!

Amazing resort in the forest

Staff were always polite and friendly and greeted us with a welcome drink and overview of our itinerary and hotel facilities.
The rooms were amazingly clean and the outdoor bathroom on the ground floor is just incredible. Such a nice and tranquil way to take a shower (with complete privacy ofcourse). And despite it being rainy season and anywhere else swarming with insects and frogs, the rooms were still spotless unless you leave your door open!
The vegetarian menu was great for breakfast but got a little bit repetitive for dinner. We always began our days too stuffed to move and had to wait to digest before we went out! Pancakes and muesli stood out to me, plus the BeingSattvaa breakfast with the porridge is also amazing. The pastas weren't that good for dinner but the Indonesian dishes were very tasty and healthy! There are lots of dinner options in the city and they provide free shuttle car service every two hours until around 6 or 7pm and then you can cab back to the resort when you're done.

Only negative was that it was quite far from the main city area. It took 20 minutes by car and when we asked for pick up in the afternoon to get back to the resort, we waited one hour each time because of the traffic! Not the driver's fault but just beware and organise your time wisely.

Overall, amazing place to spend a few days to unwind and relax with some amazing views and experiences and food!

Very friendly and attentive staff. Tasty breakfast, they even offered breakfast way past the normal hours for when we got back from our sunrise hike up Mt Batur. Didn't eat lunch or dinner so can't comment. Regular shuttle into town (about 10mins by taxi)

Beautiful grounds with lovely staff

We enjoyed a relaxing 3 nights stay at BeingSattvaa - the hotel is a tranquil and peaceful place - a welcome thing away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre. The staff were excellent and the shuttle service was great. Morning yoga was also fun - it would have been nice for this to be more regular seen as the hotel bills itself as a retreat.

There were a couple of things that could have been improved upon that we shared with the staff when leaving such as more power sockets - only 1 was accessible in the room (but two outside randomly), more lighting - getting ready for an evening out was pretty challenging and we hadn't realised that the hotel is technically alcohol free save for the odd bottle of white wine.

The hotel is a true hidden treasure, beautiful and cozy, away from the noisy streets. The staffs are so friendly. They even went to town to get some special fruits for us just because we mentioned it randomly and the hotel kitchen doesn't usually stock it. They really made us feel like home. I love this hotel and will only stay there if I go visit again.

Gem of a hotel close to Ubud with welcoming staff.

We booked to stay here for the start of our honeymoon in Bali and we were not disappointed. From the offset we found the staff friendly and extreamly helpful, the rooms to a very high standard and the location superb. You feel as if you are sleeping in the jungle, yet you have the comfort and security of your room. For light sleepers they provide ear plugs and eye mask, which might come in handy.
Starting the day with complimentary Yoga, looking over the canopy as the sun rises followed by a three course breakfast, sets you up nicely for a day trip into Ubud, using the free shuttle service.
We stayed four nights, but enjoyed it so much, we cancelled our planned last night in Nusa Dua to stay here one more time before returning to the UK.
Aside from families with young children(aside from the pool there is little for them) or travellers looking for some night life, we can't recommend this hotel enough.

We had a great stay at BeingSattvaa. The hotel is set a bit outside Ubud but there is a shuttle service. It's in the hills so very scenic. A little run-down, the hotel is not 5 star, but we were more than comfortable. And the staff is absolutely incredible! They took great care of us and we would definitely stay again.

Blissfully relaxing

I stayed here on my honeymoon for three nights between visiting nusa dua and seminyak for a total relaxation and that it was! We stayed in the hotel for the whole time we were in Ubud we were slightly worried about being in a vegetarian hotel but there was no need the food was so fresh and tasty we didn't miss meat and fish at all. The staff excelled anyway they could and were very friendly. We had a massage during our stay and it was the best massage I have ever had!
Dining in and using the spa is a must to really fully enjoy this hotel.

Beingstavva hotel was amazing. The staff was so attentive it was unbelievable. We only went on customer ratings and we were not disappointed. Please note this place is vegetarian only, has only wine in the bar and is non smoking. This did not take away from
The experience at all. With free daily yoga or trekking that was tailored to us, to free shuttle buses to town every 2 hours, to amazing food it was hard to fault this place. It is a retreat with only 10
Villas and I think we were one of three that were there at the time being occupied. All staff knew our names and would give great recommendations on what to do- and then they would organise everything for us. We stayed for four nights and was upset when we had to leave the beautiful town and retreat. It is still fairly new - hasn't been open for more than a year and no taxi drivers know where it is yet, so rely on their shuttles instead. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent Stay

I stayed at BeingSattvaa for 5 days. The first night, I didn't get to Being Sattvaa till 1-ish in the morning. The staff was very thoughtful that they prepared a couple of veggie sandwiches for me (I told them that I'm a vegetarian). They gave me a room that was not far from the rice field. The view was good but I found it hard for me to sleep as the curtains couldn't 100% block the sunlight. I told the staff about it the next day and they immediately arranged me another room which was facing the jungle. OMG, I loved that room as the bathroom was open to nature.
The chef was amazing. If you are staying at BeingSattvaa, you really have to try their American breakfast which had mushroom in it. The mushroom was amazing. Moreover, they served vegetarian dinner which was way better than those I had in Ubud.
The staff was extremely attentive and helpful.

All time best hotel/lodging experience I've ever had, and although the property is absolutely stunning, it was the staff that made the stay so wonderful. Stayed 5 nights and by the end of it felt like I was saying goodbye to friends. Wonderful peaceful option just outside the chaos of Ubud.

Stunning!!

We had an absolutely amazing time at BeingSattvaa. We were met with warm smiles everyday and nothing was a problem for the friendly and kind staff.
The joy of this place is really the scenery and the tranquility. It was like waking up in a rainforest except you're in a comfy four poster bed.
The outdoor bathroom took a little to get used to but by the end it was maybe my favourite part of the room.
It is in a quiet area of Ubud away from the Main Street but we hired a scooter or there were free shuttles and it was less then ten minute drive.
The pool and the trekking and yoga they offer were the icing on top to make this a truly magical stay in Ubud. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I just spend 6 days in in this great hotel in the outskirts of ubud. The place is only 10 min from downtown but far enough to be in the quiet country side.

The food was amazing and freshly prepared.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! making sure we had an pleasant stay and organizing all our excursions.

Great Spa and beautiful yoga studio also.

Fantastic Retreat with the best service

We were originally booked to stay 3 nights however enjoyed the Villas and service so much we extended our stay but another 2 nights.

The villas are new and of a high standard, the staff were very welcoming and really did go the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed the daily morning yoga sessions and loved the platter of fruit provided after which lead into breakfast. This was our 2nd of 3 villas we visited in Bali and many of the reviews for villas complained about the breakfast but this was not a concern at BeingSattvaa as it was plentiful and of a high quality, with numerous options. The spa offers a complimentary welcome massage which was well received by 2 of our party.

The location of the villas is superb, it overlooks a forest (with a view of some rice fields) and each morning around breakfast we enjoyed watching the numerous monkeys climbing through the trees and coming onto the grounds to eat - they were 5-10 meters away with several getting adventurous and coming up to the pool and villa balconies.

We were very appreciative of the special meals Bagus made for our Daughter (who is vegan), the staff were concerned the tours would not have vegan options and she was so pleased - they also tasted great too.

Many thanks to Dewa, Made, Kadek, Putu, Bagus and the rest of the staff for such a memorable stay and we wish you every success and many visitors to BeingSattvaa and you may see us coming back to visit again in the futre

Relax en estado puro

Nos cuidaron des de que pusimos el primer pie en el hotel. El hotel dispone de muy pocas habitaciones y parecía que estuviéramos solas. Teníamos una persona que se encargaba de nuestra comodidad, nos ofrecieron hacer una clase de yoga (gratis). El restaurante es solamente vegetariano y la comida está muy buena. Hay un servicio de shuttle hasta Ubud también gratis cada dos horas. Tuvimos un problema con el agua caliente pero enseguida nos lo intentaron arreglar, como vieron que tardarían un poco, nos ofrecieron cambiar de habitación, a una igual y al mismo precio, y además nos invitaron a los postres en la cena por las molestias. El personal fue muy amable.

Wir haben uns bewusst gegen einen Strandurlaub entschieden, da wir wirklich Entspannung brauchten und wir wussten, dass in der Regenzeit das Wetter einem Strandaufenthalt einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen kann. Das BeingSattvaa war wirklich die beste Entscheidung und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.
