This is a great place to stay, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. A great breakfast, with a lot of options. My favorire is the hand made omelets, with items you select.

We stay in a Royal Suite with our daughter and her husband multiple times a year. It is always up to specs every time, and if there is ever a blip, the staff works diligently and quickly to fix it. We usually make use of the awesome hot tub, pool, and patio area and they never disappoint. We’ve stayed at other establishments in Shipshe but always return to Blue Gate!!

It was a bad time to stay. Was under remodeling. Terrible smell from their sanding rooms and the glue used. Not sure why our room was a couple doors down from all this and that we weren’t put on a different floor. Hotel wasn’t nearly full. Lost power for a short time and fire alarms kept going off.

Only complaint I had was they were renovating and had to walk past many rooms that were being renovated to get to our room which was way down a long hall and I have back problems and trouble walking. Probably a 10 minute walk from car to lobby to elevator to room. Wish I would have brought my mobility scooter.

We stayed for 1 night, didn't have time to use the hot tub or pool, I went to check it out and it the area looked amazing, they also have an area with a tv and games, an ice cream shop. The Breakfast was soooo good! All the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

We had a great stay and would have given the hotel an excellent but the shower was either cold or lukewarm and never got hot. Breakfast was also great and I appreciated the fact that at 9 there was still plenty of food. The coffee was just ok.

Rooms were clean and well kept. The only annoying thing about this hotel was its construction allowed for folks who walked hard, it seemed like they were stomping around. Probably the guy in the next room was finding it hard to sleep and he paced up and down the room. Eventually he stopped. But the wooden frame construction allows that kind of sound to be heard all over the place.

We have stayed here many times and this is the first time we did not give the Blue gate Inn 5 stars. The first night of our two night stay, the hot tub was not working which we were looking forward too. The second night of our stay, the refrigerator was so loud, it made it hard to sleep. While both of these might seem like minor issues, when paying premium dollars for a room, we would expect everything to be up and working properly. There was also an issue with the invoice which Blue gate claims I double booked. Even though, I 'never' received a confirmation on the 'double booked' room, I took them at their word. They did give me a credit for one night. My wife and I would honestly have to give serious consideration before we book another night here. The property and the staff were very good however. The breakfast was excellent.

The hotel was nice and came with a nice hot breakfast bar. It is close to everything and that made it easy. It was a little dirty in the hallways, but it appeared they were renovating some of the rooms. I was not thrilled that I did the online check-in, where I scanned my ID and put my form of payment in, and they still required taking my ID and card when I arrived. I feel like offering that pre-registration was pointless. I can totally understand checking my ID to validate that I am who I say I am, but just seemed silly for me to scan it and take a picture of myself in the pre-registration and still have to hand it over. Would gladly stay here again, just won’t waste my time on the pre-registration.

Nice outside patio, and an ice cream/pizza store right inside the hotel. We love staying here to see concerts at the Blue Gate Theater, which is just a walk across the parking lot!

My wife and myself are \"edge of the bed\" sleepers but continually woke up in the middle as the bed was worn out! I have a bad back and have dealt with it for for 20 years+ but my wife's back has never had issues! She has been to the chiropractor twice this week to elevate her pain! We will definitely look for other arrangements in the future! Howe Indiana is about 10 miles away !
