I had a terrible time when I checked in I was waiting for an hour for the reception guy to smoke and the check in time take so long we reserved non smoking room they gave us smoking room we reserve king size bed they gave twin bedded shower was not working no water very terrible hotel

The hotel is pretty well located, is well maintained specially the common areas, the staff are friendly and provide good service.

The only flaw the rooms, are a bit outdated, they are in need of renovation. But other than this, the hotel is good. We recommend it.

I wish the hotel had informed us about the ongoing construction at the time of booking. On the day of check-in, the water was briefly turned off, and when it came back on, it was brown. I didn't feel comfortable using it for showering, washing my hair, or brushing my teeth. Additionally, the air conditioning in my son's room (320) wasn't working properly, the room feeling humid and not comfortable. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements. I chose it primarily for its location.

Expedia shows the incorrect hotel address on the map link. The hotel shows on the map as miles away from actual location. Location on map is a vacant lot. I spoke to Expedia customer service and they tried to blame the hotel for the error, then they tried to blame google

staff dont provide you information at check-in they just pass you a key card, they dont confirm your package or explain where you can have breakfast, dinner or your way to your room

dirty dishes, utensils, table and salt/pepper shakers
stale hard bread, croissants are bread and the sweets taste is horrible not fit of a 4 or 5 star restaurant. The food is hit or miss depending on the day and dish being prepared.

Maintenance staff seem to be repairing without any clue how to make their repairs aesthetically pleasing. Wall paper is pealing off the wall.

I am really surprised about the rating of this hotel 4.0 !!! It doesn't deserve even 1

Very old furniture, smelly rooms, very poor breakfast !!!

Full review:
checked in 29th Jan 2023 at room 147 it was dirty, a sticky spots on the carpet, I have requested the reception team to change the room but simply they said sorry we are fully booked and we can't upgrade the room without an approval from the manager !! they asked me to wait until the boss approve the upgrade, but I have waited the all night without any feedback !!
Next day finally they changed the room to 150 but again I suffered from the smell, it suppose to be non-smoking room but the shisha smell is horrible.

In addition, to all above the noise from the ground floor Cafe (next to swimming pool) is not soothing you like to hear after a long working day.

Moreover, the electrical sockets are not complying with Saudi Arabia standards !! If you don't have an adapter, then you will not be able to charge your mobile/ laptop !!

Absolutely NOT recommended at all,

This my first stay there and for sure the last stay.

Rooms have a very bad smell. I asked to change the reserved room but unfortunately they moved me to another one with less bad smell.
Old furniture and towels are not clean.
Pity that a holiday inn hotel in this prime location have is operating under this condition.

no water in the bathroom.

As soon as I checked in my room I was surprised that the water wasn’t working in the bathroom. I called front desk and they said it’ll take 10-15 minutes. An hour in it was still out of service in the entire hotel. I had to check out of there and went into a different hotel.

Need maintenance for the hotel!

This was my 5th stay at this hotel. My experience started with an unpleasant shuttle service (late shuttle and reckless driving) but the hotel made it up with a nice gesture. However, I was shocked to see the condition of the hotel this time. It was clear that maintenance is not being done on a regular basis. Once I got to the room I could smell a bad rotten smell in the room and the AC was like a tank. I have highlighted my concerns to the staff who were very supportive and polite but of course there is so much that they can do.

The service is generally very good compared to other hotels I have stayed. The only negative on the service was some confusion and delay getting a taxi in the morning. The condition of the hotel and rooms is generally acceptable, except for some mold around the bathtub and the tubs elevated position. I am approximately 182 cm, but stepping up into the tub to take a shower, my head was nearly touching the ceiling. Otherwise, the hotel met my needs this trip, primarily due to location and a place to sleep without any major hassles.

good for business stay

The hotel facility is nice , there is an open pool in the middle with many seatings around it, It looked like kids were enjoying it.
The downsize is that the room had smoking smell although it was a non smokers room.

The hotel needs to improve on the restoration of hotel amenities like the power is not adaptable to GCC standards. The bathroom door of room in which (228) I stayed is very pathetic with wooden planks which again is damaged.
Regarding Expedia - I booked room with break fast, but the hotel staff simply rejected break fast to me saying that Expedia has not communicated it to hotel despite I had clearly stating booking from Expedia. More over I have paid for it. When I contacted Expedia in US, they told to do the needful. But nothing happened ... But the food that i ordered through Ala Carta was excellent.

Answer the PHONE!!

There were THREE phones in my room. The phone rang randomly, day and night, sometimes just a quick ring, sometimes 5 or 6 rings. It started the first night I was there, ringing at 1:30 , 2:40, 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. Scared the living daylights out of me. I reported it the first morning, and they said they'd fix it. Next night, same deal, and on and on throughout my stay. They said it was happening in several rooms, they couldn't move me.

By the 4th night, I unplugged the two phones, and tossed them into the hall. But there was an emergency phone, screwed into the wall in the bathroom, and it continued to ring, and wake me. I had to ask more than once, to have it removed.

Oh - and the driver I requested was not there when my plane arrived late, and we then sat in customs / immigration for 2+ hours. It was after midnight by the time I got through customs and I walked up and down the line of drivers 3 or 4 times, as did the baggage guy, and another couple that had been on my plane. The hotel insisted he had been there at 9:40 p.m. when my flight was due, and that he waited. I refused to pay, since I'd paid for a more expensive taxi, only to get to the hotel and be chastised for not finding their driver.

All in all. It was a place to sleep. The buffet breakfast was good, as were the lunches and dinners i had in the restaurant.

A really excellent business hotel experience

Everything about my 5 days in this hotel was a delight: the airport transfer, the courteous staff, the wonderful food, the spacious and well-equipped gym, and the bedroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. Wifi was stable and fast, and the LAN internet also worked very well. The only tiny criticism is that the hot water is sometimes not hot enough.

Over all FANTASTIC experience

Stayed for 10 nights on business. Location of hotel is good for business but nothing much to do nearby.
Hotel staff was very helpful and provided excellent service. Food was delicious. Best thing I like about this hotel is that they have Europcar office near the lobby which was very convenient for me to hire and off-hire rental car. Room service was very prompt

My special thanks to Mr. Masaud of housekeeping and Mr. Basha from room services division who ensured my staff was comfortable and enjoyable.

My thanks to all Europecar staff as well, who were very cooperative and ensured car was available in short notice. Good selection of TV channels. Excellent LAN and WiFi coverage

However, there is always room for improvement. I would appreciate if hotel Management looks into following points for improvement:
1) Need to keep some refreshments in the fridge or at least some fruits in the room.
2) Fridge cooling was not sufficient to keep any items inside. It was better to keep soft drinks (that I brought from outside) out in room which was cooler than fridge.
3) Suggest fixing acrylic sheet between bathtub and basin as water spills on floor no matter how good you try to draw shower curtain.

Over all experience was FANTASTIC!!! I will definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend to others as well.

Great hotel, value, in Al Khobar

I've stayed at this property twice and both times was very happy with the quality and service. The restaurant is very good. There is a gentleman in the lobby serving coffee and dates who always has a smile ready and will keep you cup full.

Decent business hotel but better options available

Second stay there in the last few months, this one was progressively worse. They had water maintenance issues and did not inform us. There was very limited water in the rooms for the entire stay and no hot water in the shower at all. Internet was also miserable and didn't work 75% of the time a big no-no for the business traveler. My biggest peeve is the lack of communication and sense of responsibility by the hotel. The rooms themselves are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is also decent, but for the money you pay, there are better options.

stayed on business and booked hotel car to collect from airport service was faultless with excellent drivers and service throughout stay. Would only mention dont book if you want swimming pool as pools are more a decorative feature as only very shallow and I mean shallow 1/2 metre deep ! apart from this all aspects great. Recommend buffet on fish night as fresh fish / prawns on offer.

The service has been outstanding and I enjoyed my comfortable stay with this hotel.I was here for only 1 night and the only problem I faced was my room was too far from the lobby. Stuck in Khobar for three nights

Room was fine, bed was comfy. Clean and quiet. Even got bumped to a suite. The service was occasionally sketchy, having to ask for simple items like water multiple times before I received it. One worker even let himself in my room while I was in there. Never even heard a knock on the door. Buffets were marginal in my opinion, but fortunately there were several decent restaurants within close walking distance. Not much to do in the area, but I suppose that holds true for the entire country.
