The Le Meridien is a clean and well maintained hotel close to a number of shopping areas and the corniche. It's very Walkable to those areas. Staff is very hospitable and courteous. The check-in and checkout experience was quick and efficient. The rest of the staff is also very professional and helpful. The rooms are nice size and well stocked with everything you need. The one thing this place lacks is good food. If you stay here be prepared to eat elsewhere.

When we arrived we were told that the swimming pool was closed until 24th jan so for the whole of our stay. we were offered no compensation. we would not have booked this hotel if we had known the pool was closed

I had a clear reservation through expedia. When I checked in they told me that the hotel was full. I requested to speak to the manager who finally arrived approximately 1 hour later. He offered for me to share a villa which had 3 rooms and gave me one of those rooms. Sharing with some strangers which is unbecoming of Le Meridien. I have known this hotel for over 20 years but was shocked that they did not honor my reservation and then i was forced to share a villa with others. They did not even adjust the room rate for this inconvenience.

The hotel was nice, staff were helpful and kind. Location is close to the cornich (beach) but need to walk at least 15 minutes to get there. You need a car to move around. Breakfast buffe is nice and have a lot of varities. They have a good sushi resturant but limited options of raw sushi.
Overall I recommend it and I will come again.

The property is well located and well maintained. Guests are treated very nice. After the Covid 19 Pandemic we went to many hotels and never get our rooms cleaned up. At Le Meridien we got our room well cleaned up every day. The Housekeeper for our room did a wonderful job. We had everything we needed in that hotel. We had a full tray with fresh fruit almost everyday in our room. We had breakfast in our package but we were treated very well at the restaurants there. People are lovely and offer to help you all the times. I will give everything to go back there for another week vacation.

The hotel is going renovation . You can hear load noises from lobby . 2 out of 4 elevators are out of order .
If you need to stay here book a room and save the money 110 SR per person for the breakfast. They have a ready set menu . All cold items and it’s not worth the money.

A hotel with heritage

It is one of the first 5 star hotels in the city. Overall the stay was good and the staff was friendly and the room was comfortable, Location and View were brilliant. Thank you Roger for the haircut too.

The only comment I would have was on the room service, it was not up to the standards of any hotel let alone the Meridien, especially the Pizza, the dough was raw and the food was cold. it was like the chef's day off.

Read my review then you judge.

It was a 2 hour wait for a room because they were not ready at check in time. They put me in a temporary room and if i liked it i could stay well i paid for a ocean view i only got the pool and trees. After an hour i go back to the lobby to ask about my room they finally give me a room but its 2 twin bed. If i was there with my buddy it would be ok but i was with my wife. I figured they would do some compensation and give the breakfast in the room but did not receive. The bath tub has black mold at the fill and drain area plus on the plastic guide. The lobby looked good but once you get off the elevator its outdated carpet and dirty.They state its a 5 star hotel but felt like a 3 star.

Business Stay in Al Khobar

A very enjoyable 8-night stay in Al Khobar on a business trip. I stayed in a Club Room with access to the Club Lounge, which was very good for breakfast, snacks and evening treats with great service from the regular chef and staff. The hotel is very modern and clean; it has a good outdoor pool, which at this time of the year was quite cool and sparsely used.
As a business hotel I was very disappointed with the quality of the wireless Internet access, which was very intermittent in its quality and suffered multiple droop outs. My only other gripe was the chair provided at the desk in the room which was not an office-style desk and had no adjustment, which made it quite uncomfortable for working.

Stayed one night for a conference in the same hotel. Don't let the dated exterior turn you away as the property appears to have been recently renovated and the rooms could easily have been confused for those of a new 5-star hotel in Dubai. Good location and solid food. Certainly one of the best places to stay in Al Khobar.

The hotel was close to a wedding reception I attended, apart from some bikes over revving down the corniche it was really quiet and I got a great nights sleep. Smoking rooms were just that and no wiff from the corridor

Rooms are great ( Club floor ). Corridors and Elevators need upgrade. Front Desk Staff needs to be replaced. Very poor reception : no smile , no help, no details about the package, ... Simple silence. All reception staff without any exception need to be replaced. I thought I have checked in 1 star hotel.

Attentive help that assisted with tracking my lost luggage. Excellent breakfast buffet with made to order omlett . Fresh juices and coffee diversions. The in lobby pastry cafe served delecious velvets ,pastries and ice cream.

Meridien non SPG room 430

The Meridien is ok, but relatively expensive.
I checked in as an SPG member and got a non SPG room on 4th floor, facing the noisy kitchen exhaust fans, lots of renovation on that floor, noisy all over, not happy as I needed a quite night after long hectics days in KSA.
I left my room at 0900am and had breakfast, then went to Dharan Mall, I got back at 1400hrs and my room was still not cleaned up...
Hmmmmmm...5 stars hotels....

The hotel was ok. However, I stayed in the third floor and in the hole way there was bad smell. The room was fine. However, what bothered me the most is when I woke up in the moring I went to have breakfast. The bill came I signed it, but they insisted to settle it in the spot. I told them to but it in my account and at check out I will pay it, but they refused. Than I told them Ok let me grap my walt than. Went up to my room and went back to pay it. But they said no need, it has been posted to my account I was really upset as there were many people watching when they said I have to pay now. Never staying there again

Don't stay in Villa 7 - old and noisy

Arrived with clients (who I wanted to impress) to be told that the hotel was full but that we were to be a given a villa (Villa 7) plus free breakfast in exec lounge. Sounded OK but the Villa had not been renovated so:
- the décor was VERY dated and knocked about (unlike the normal hotel rooms)
- 2 of the 3 rooms were very small
- there was nowhere in room to place cases (had to leave them on the floor)
- the air conditioning was so loud it sounded like a jet engine when it came on automatically through the night
- there is playground right outside (children playing until 3 a.m.)

I stayed in this hotel for a week. The hotel is just a quick walk from sea side. The staff is courteous and service is above average. I only dined once and food was good. There are lots of restaurant at walking distance so no issue on finding right choice.

Thought I would get a decent room for the price I was paying but sadly I was wrong. Very old hotel, mediocre location, and most importantly, service was absolutely terrible. This duty manager, Amr, was just rude and sarcastic, even though the hotel got my airport transfer timing wrong. Avoid at all costs.

Have stayed here before , but had a bad experience this time. The A/c in the room would continue to cool even if you have set it at a higher temp. Complained and they seemed to take care of it . Indian food is very poor and they serve frozen parathas here ( 5 star hotel ) .The cook does not know to make fresh ones I guess . Papadams were dripping with oil ..... Will never ever try Indian food at this hotel.

Just book it! One of the very best in Al Khobar!

Had a fabulous stay at Le Meridien Al Khobar. Check-in was swift and friendly. Room service was delicious. The hotel's location is perfect--right on the corniche and close to many great restaurants. The Club Level room is *definitely* worth the money---the breakfast is delicious, and the Happy Hour snacks/beverages are really plentiful and well presented. The seaview rooms are heavenly. Beds are comfy and room ammenities are luxurious. I will definitely return to this hotel. Just book it--you won't regret it.

I spent a couple of days in the mom, Saudi Arabia, and with a colleague, we decided to stay at this hotel. It is not far from the bridge linking to Barhain. Customer service at the front desk was excellent. The hotel includes two restaurants: seafood & Italian. I went to the Italian one, and it was worth it. Good service, excellent food, nice views. I had a room with balcony. Room was comfortably large and balcony provided nice seaviews.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip, unlike the previous hotel i had stayed i, the Meridian was perfect in every way, relaxing, friendly, comfort, i wish i had stayed longer. I would have no hesitation staying here again. Room 612 had a fab sea view, great TV channels, a perfect place to stay.

I went to Le Meridien AL Khobar with my wife and two kids because I checked the rooms area on hotels.com site and it says 31sqm, but when i got there, it was certainly way smaller than this. We could only fit one mattress in the room for two kids to sleep on. Not to mention how hard it was to order the mattress itself.

Comfortable room, questionable restaurant team

Very good room and very clean. You will like the room service and the view is the best in Al Khobar. Yet, you will find that the restaurant is very different! The restaurant staff never smile at you, they even neglect you and try to avoid servicing you! The food is okay, not the best but acceptable, and the coffee is just okay. The pool is amazing and the staff is helpful. There is one problem keeps exciting for my second time in six months period, is that the pool area is not reachable except through a circular staircase and not easy to use it! I recommend this hotel as a 5 star hotel excluding the main restaurant!

Very good service and a nice location in front of the gulf! It has an open pool, which is an added value for a hotel in KSA! If you are from the west, this is a 3.5star hotel, but a 5 star for sure in Al Khobar! I like it so much and will reserve it again if I plan to go to the eastern side of KSA.
