Great place for a short stay. From the staff to the rooms, everything was good. For the price, I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I stayed for a week and had a very pleasant experience.
There are plenty of restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby. It’s also about a 15–20 minute walk to Big Ben, and roughly the same distance to Buckingham Palace, which is very convenient.
5 stars for this hotel. Just keep in mind that it’s a small hotel, so the rooms are compact — but perfectly comfortable for a short stay.
Would definitely stay here again.

Checkín una hora después de lo previsto, no había agua caliente, nos dieron 2 camas individuales en vez de 1 matrimonial. Dejaron la.habitacion abierta con nustras cosas.luego de que reclamamos que no hanian hecho la limpieza diaria. Estuvimos 3 boches No hacen la limpieza sino avisas. La verdad la peor estadia que hemos reservado por esta aplicacion Los recepcionistas no hablabam español , en la descripcion decia que si lo hacian. Tampoco italiano o portugues. La sabanoas y toallas no estaban limpias no olian a perfume a jabon.no hay ascensor por lo tanto escucho a cada viajero sibir u bajar
escalon por escalon con su maleta. No volveriamos. Ni siquiera dicen bbuenos dias o buenas tardes, demasiado mal educados es mas cuando fuimos el resepcuonista estaba acostado del otro lado del mostrador y no siquiera movio un dedo para rescibir la tarjeta de la habitación que por cierto funcionaba cuando queria y habia que pedirles que la respetarán

For the room I got, which was the last affordable room, it was ok. It was very compact and a little cramp though. With the shared bathroom, they really need a sliding door or something because there's a glass wall that only covers half the shower and you need to use the squeegee to sweep the water towards the drain so it doesn’t go towards the sink and toilet. The Victoria area was very nice. I highly recommend the Prince Of Wales pub on the corner near the hotel.

Single room in former coal hole in basement (only tiny window on to corridor) was acceptable in terms of decor and bed comfort was actually very good but had no hand basin, which was a bit of an issue when I needed to use the shared toilet/bathroom urgently and it was full with another user for over half an hour. Eventually It turned out there was another shared toilet upstairs but that was also not available due to being cleaned.

Horrendous place! The pictures are inaccurate, the lobby is just a tall desk with 2 seats , filthy dirty. Wasn’t told it was a shared bathroom, and was told contact whoever you booked it with, not their fault. The room was in the basement and what would have probably been a cellar, no windows, but also no air-con, the room was rediculously tiny, TV didn’t work and just a fan. It stank, the carpets were all torn ripped, and just floor mats to cover dangerous drainage pipes. Yes there is a budget but this is hostel style living. Came back to my in the afternoon after work and the room hadn’t been made, I asked at reception why not and was told I should have told them in the morning if I wanted my room cleaning????

In short to some it up:

The staff were rude and not bothered about the guests.
The rooms were old and battered, but in a basement.
The decor is old and decrepit, but again it will for tourists on a budget.
Do NOT judge this hotel on the photos, taken from exceptional angles and probably not real.

I was here just for a night and the room was fine for what I needed. The only thing that did make a negative impact on me was the young man on the reception desk when I checked in. He did not stop his telephone conversation, he just checked me in and did what he needed to do while continuing to speak on the phone. It came across as very rude. Apart from that it was better than a lot of the reviews said.

Very tired looking decor. Reception staff not very friendly, or helpful. Very Noisy in the morning, someone trying our door several times which was annoying.
Trip hazards on arrival, sheets on stairs, towels on corridor floor. I know it was value for money but expected it to be a bit better.

I would recommend! It was super close to the train station and the 24 bus which takes you to the big ben and soho. The room was small and not in super clean condition but it was definitely worth the cost. Room has a fridge which was super nice and is right around the corner of a grocery store and lots of restaurants!

The lady behind reception was lovely. I booked the cheapest single room for a quick overnight stay, however it wasn’t really a room, it was more like a cupboard behind reception. The wall was very thin and I could hear everyone coming in and out and the phone ringing like it was in my room. The bed wasn’t really made (the under sheet was just thrown on and not made properly), there were dirty earbuds on the floor and there was a window above the door that I couldn’t cover up (no curtain to close, just a window straight out to the lit hall with the lightbulb right outside). I had to ask the lady behind reception to turn the light in the hallway off so that I could go to sleep. The tv in the room didn’t work, but it did keep turning itself on throughout the night waking me up with the light. When I first came in, it was turned on a set to Babestation. The shared toilet had a constant massive puddle on the floor that you had to stand in, to use the loo and the shared shower was so dirty I couldn’t use it. Sodden towels on the floor and used/empty bottles and wrappers everywhere. Not a comfortable stay at all. I had to leave as soon as I woke up and showered/used a restroom elsewhere. I didn’t complain as I figured I’d booked a £45 room but still, regardless of that, I’ve had cheap rooms elsewhere and this was a terrible stay that I wouldn’t book again.

I thought this was a very reasonably priced hotel considering it is literally 5 mins walk from Victoria! Room was fine - memory foam mattress meant a good night's sleep. Shower was nice and powerful, there was a fridge and a tv so overall I was happy.

Only very slight thing was there didn't seem to be a remote for the tv but that was a minor thing.

The property is old but decent. Our fridge was not working but they were able fix it.

FYI that not all rooms have a private bathroom and shower so you will need to share a common bathroom. The one downstairs only has one toilet and shower. There was also one bathroom by the reception desk that just had a toilet.

No elevators and the stairs are pretty narrow and steep so it would not be good for elderly people or those with balance issues. Large bags could be difficult to carry up/down the stairs as well.

Other than that, the hotel is in a walkable area. Lots of different restaurants around the corner as well as a nice Sainsbury’s grocery store.

Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station are both close enough to walk to as is the Hop On / Hop Off bus we had booked.

Overall, a good stay near everything we needed to get to without a car.

The only think going for this hotel is location very old property with minimal upgrade or improvements. Staff rude and unhelpful. The only good reviews would be from the family sitting in the entrance daily eating. Checked out after 8 nights, sheets
/ towels meant to be changed after 5 days, this did not occur. TV kept playing up and did not receive all
Channels. Very poor hotel. Small as expected in London however there was no quality service provided.

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The pictures online made the place look modern and spacious, but the reality was very different. The room was much smaller than expected, and it didn’t feel clean at all. The bathroom in particular could have been maintained better, and overall the place just felt worn out. Definitely not what I was led to believe from the photos.

Photos are totally misleading. The room was nothing like description. Not clean. Stained carpet. Walls partly painted, dodgy sockets. Tv barely getting any signal, a few channels only. Noise ridiculous. No soundproofing from reception at all. Even staff chatting loudly at reception after midnight can be heard enough to sound like the door is open. On every level this property is falsely advertised. The thought of staying again is incomprehensible.

This is a Terrible apartment and we are very disappointed.
1. Dirty and stained sheets and pillows that had yellow stains
2. Dirty rooms, kitchen and a disgusting bathroom full of mould stains.
3. Kitchen…awful..there was a note on the refrigerator door saying “please do not open the refrigerator it’s out of order”
They had replaced the big refrigerator with a hotel sized mini bar fridge.
4. Could not lock 2 windows due to no lock.
5. The entrance door on the ground floor was basically placed right behind one of the restaurants table, ha ha, the restaurant guests were really surprised when we trying to get out and in to the so called apartment.
6. And finally, just outside there was some major construction going on with heavy machines cutting up the payment and road, the noice was very loud.

Basically this is the absolutely worst stay you possibly can stay in, do not rent this disgusting apartment.
I’m very surprised that Hotels.com allow a the place like this on their site.

As with most hotels in this area the rooms are tiny and there in no elevator and no A/C. The room did come with a good fan and a large opening window which faced the back gardens. The room is nicely decorated and equipped with kettle and fridge. The hot water was hit and miss at times. I would stay there again, maybe not in July.

My son called it - it was like playing the game OverCooked: the beds fill so much of the room that there is barely room for one person to walk any path, so we had to coordinate all actions while in the room, to let people move around. Lack of AC was a problem for us, but probably not an issue except in summer. Note that not all rooms have a private bathroom, but ours did.

Good location and price but with a caveat

This is a simple hotel that is in a wonderful location but be prepared to get what you pay for. Room was a small double which was clean and had a small bathroom which was in good condition and well kept. Bed was tight for two people as well as the room and bathroom. With two people, you need to plan your moves around the room since every spot will be taken. Victoria Station is only an 8-10 minutes walk to the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants around the area and a convenient supermarket a block away. You can also leave your luggage and they will look after it. For the price and location it is definitely worth considering but be prepared with the limitations of a very tight room.

In room: No cable TV, No satellite connection, No garbage bin, No tea, No coffee, on \"the table\" (20sm on 60sm) construction used dirty 100mm screw, no mirror, the socket is loose, 1 non-replaceable towel and bed linen, hangers, only 2 hooks, fan on minimum blow out all the brains with volume of 40 dB, to turn on the light in this kennel need to find in pitch darkness a common switch 20 sm from the floor and only after this can you turn on the light.. When I ask the duty rep to help me take advantage of the promised room amenities he said that he didn't really have to do it, but after all he had got away from his phone and spent 10 minutes on this. To my comments about the TV, the fan and bad smell from the nearby toilet he answered that his boss said if you don't like the room you can leave (9 PM) we will refund the payment. \"Are you leaving or staying?\"... Draw your own conclusion, but I don't envy those who end up in this lair by mistake...

The room is so absurdly tiny that you can’t even turn around in it. The sink doesn’t have hot water, and the shower water is fluctuating between cold and hot. The bed sheets have revolting stains. The soundproofing is laughably bad; guests checking in late at night create such a racket that sleep becomes an impossible dream—you can even overhear your neighbor’s whispered conversations.

The manager is a greedy swindler. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we might need to leave early. However, having missed the free cancellation window, We negotiated with the manager to see if there was any way for us to leave early and receive a full refund. We weren’t demanding the refund at all costs; if he refused, we were prepared to stay an extra night as originally planned. The manager assured us that if he could resell the room at the same rate, he’d refund us the entire amount. But once they managed to sell the room and forced us to leave early, he went back on his word—refusing to refund us the full amount and even denying us any details about the resale price.

They are not a honorable merchant; they blatantly disregard promises and care only about how much money they made.

My room was nothing like in the picture only good thing was the bathroom had been updated and was fine but was small.my window had to be slammed to beable to close it and there was some holes in window frame, our room was at front of hotel onto the street and could hear the noise from outside.walls in my room was dirty and carpet didn't fit to end of room was a gap, beds was comfortable but only 1 pillow each. Walls are thin and doors you can hear other people coming up stairs to their room and them in their room laughing. The best thing about this hotel is the location cant moan about that it has lots of cafes,supermarkets near by and victoria station is about 10 minute walk,this hotel is more for the location.

Booked in at 6pm, TV didn't work, the guy came in with a separate remote and couldn't get it to work. Then told us it's an aerial problem and they will need an engineer, I said it just needs an auto tune but was ignored. We had to wait in and couldn't go and get any dinner as he was in and out playing around with the telly. At 8pm after threatening to leave and get a refund he auto tuned the telly and got it working, we were then able to go get dinner.

The air con is a fan that you can't take off rotation and a window that doesn't seal properly.

There was a mouse trap, not the spring version but the version you bait with poison under our daughters bed which she showed us and asked what it was.

The bathroom is tiny, to sit on the loo, I couldn't put my legs together as the wall was that close to the toilet.

All in all, a horrendous stay.

Small but clean and comfortable

Basic but clean. Bed comfortable. I stayed in the single en-suite. It was a very small room but you get what you pay for. Had everything it needed, hot powerful shower, no leaks, and all very clean and actually had a small double in the room. Bit noisy when people go up the stairs right outside your room. But as I said, can’t complain when you are paying less than £60 for central London.

Whilst my room was small, which I knew when I booked, this hotel was decent for me to stay for a night.

I will admit the walls are rather thin and I could hear the couple down the hall…how do I put this…copulating rather loudly.

The staff was friendly enough and check in was quite prompt.

Below the basement

They put me in a room which was downstairs, then down another set of stairs and then the room was smaller than a single size bed, and there was a gap and then a further step down, I know it was cheap but I was wondering if some psycho was trying to hide me in the dungeon - I left I didn’t even stay-I should have taken pics- I simply can’t tell you how awful it was- I was nervous
