I returned back to Douglas, for my sister in law's wedding. New I was going to stay at my favorite place, and as always, never disappointed. I was met with new staff at the front desk. Mr. Charles, who I got to know over the 3 days, I stayed. Was very helpful in every way. It's like the establishment didn't miss a beat, in the customer service department. The breakfast department, as well, had a new staff worker. Mrs Elizabeth, extremely kind and generous, while attending to what ever needs you have, was very impressive. I make this place my #1 spot for a reason. Who's ever reading this, I served 20 years in the Navy, and Foodservice and Lodging, was my specialty. When I write a critique it comes from experience, and what I always strive for with my staff in the military, and that was hightest degree of excellence.

The lady who runs the breakfast area in the morning is first class. She is amazing. The food is great and well prepared. It’s a buffet style breakfast with plenty of options. My wife and I have 3 little kids and they can be a handful when trying to feed them in the morning. This woman offered to make all their plates and was sweet about it. People like her are rare. She is the best. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn for your stay.

Room was clean, AC worked perfectly. Mini fridge wasn’t very cold but for one nights stay we didn’t complain. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast was “ok”, detailed description upon booking stated “breakfast buffet”, that’s the only thing tht could use improvement, more choices of food to be considered a buffet.

The Business facility was wonderful & the air conditioning worked great. Big shower with lots of hot water. Breakfast was perfect and, yes!, the coffee is great. You can’t go wrong here. Thanks to all of y’all who were there for us.

Incredible disappointed with our stay. We have been to this hotel multiple times and never have experienced it like this. Most rooms did not have running water - including our room. Cadets from the school we were supporting could not shower. When we did have water, it was only cold water at a trickle but no hot water. There were no extra blankets. Breakfast was awful. At $236 a night, it is outrageous to have this experience.

The room was ok, not the quality we expected for what we paid. Upon the check in the person responsible for checking us in was not there and someone else gave us the key to our room. Within a few minutes we received a phone call directing us to come downstairs to paid some kind of \"incidental\" deposit (mind you, I prepaid for the room when booking it). TV remote didn't work and we had to call the front desk to come and fix it (turned out it was the way TV was installed). Next morning I came down for breakfast at 9 am and there was NOTHING served. One of the coffee machines didn't work and wasn't marked as such. Took a few minutes to make my cup. Overall, I felt we deserved better for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay.We would certainly come again.The staff was very nice.We especially appreciated the lady over the breakfast.She was so pleasant and helpful.We would come back just for the delicious breakfast.You can eat as much as you want and there is a grab bag to take something back to your room.We would recommend Holiday Inn Express to others.Check-in and check-out were a breeze.The manager allowed us to check in an hour early so that we would not be late for out event.That alone meant so much to us.Thank you.

I would like to say, that Cheyenne, who is the front desk assistant is an amazing person. I've stayed there twice in the last almost 4 months. Ive had a few issues and Cheyenne did not hesitate in making sure my family and I were well taking care of. Outstanding service! I served 20 years in the military, and I too worked in the service department.
My family in I ate breakfast while we were there and Ms. Dee, the food service manager, was very polite and courteous when suppling our wants for anything. We thank her so much! Overall, amazing service from an amazing team. We would recommend any and everyone to stay at this hotel. Especially if you value great service. Thank you again for top notch service!!

It felt a bit not safe to be honest. Men that did not look like guests roaming halls but never entering a room ( 1st and 2nd floor) and no room card needed to go in and out of hotel like most hotels have now . Other men hanging out on front benches outside of hotel smoking thst also did not look like guests.

I was there with my daughter and my niece. They liked the pool... but idk if it was too much chlorine or what but it seemed to irritate my 10 yr old nieces shin. They went swimming 3 times on Saturday in that pool. Other then that it was a good stay. My daughter can't eat red meat, she did get some turkey sausage 1 morning but not the next.

Love that it’s convenient to many areas. However our room appears to have lots of wear and tear. Bathroom Floor had permanent spots. Carpet as well . Springs in bed made noise simply getting out of the bed. Lastly our tv didn’t work.

I really enjoyed my stay will be back if need a place to stay. Everything was magnificent the staff was amazing and the breakfast bar was great. Hot food, everything was delicious. My room was beautiful, very neat and spacious I just wasn’t able to get in the pool to relax, cs of funeral and family gatherings but next time I will try it out. I was promised to get a deposit back on my card bc I kept my room in order. Waiting on that and everything is grand. Would I tell a friend or others about this amazing hotel heck yeah!!

I want to first state that I have never written a bad review, even when some may be needed, however after this experience, I felt it was absolutely necessary. I am extremely unsatisfied with our stay. We had no hot water. The front desk clerk stated it was because there were so many taking showers at the time. We never got hot water during our stay. We were unable to shower before bed nor the next day before checking out. The television did not work. Same front desk clerk came and messed with the cables, it worked for maybe five minutes before going back out. We asked for extra blankets for our son to sleep on the pull out couch, but were told they did not have any and gave me a sheet instead. Asked to speak with a manager and he gave me a business card with an email address to reach out to a manager. At check out the next morning expressed my disappointment in the way our stay was and that we didn’t feel we should that we should have paid as much money as we had and couldn’t shower, watch television much less have a blanket to cover up with. This was met with absolutely nothing. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. I will NEVER stay at this facility again. Nor would I recommend that anyone waste their money.

Checking in was a breeze, felt safe, had a hard time keepimg the room warm and when we turned up the heat our room filled with either asain beetles or lady bugs and when we brought this to the attention to the clerk she blatenly ignored our concerns like it wasnt a big deal but we paid almost 200 dollars for a peaceful night away

Stayed 3 nights. After the first 2 nights did not receive any housecleaning. Had to retrieve towels from front desk ourselves. Breakfast first morning the hot foods (egg omelettes, sausage, cinnamon rolls) were all overheated cause they tasted dry or even stuck to pans. 2 nd morning was better. How ironic that after 2 days of no housekeeping the morning we’re getting ready to leave they show up at 8:00!!?
