Great property, amazing food, decent service.. after that downhill....We reserved the pool level suite, great room with amazing wildlife moving through it. Peaceful and serene! Bed on interior matched a sheet of plywood in comfort. A bike was used on property, when you could find one..
Property has amazing scenery, room service is an upcharge, couldnt find ice... oh well. Would stay here again for the food and scenery in same villa.. not for the service.

Great food!! Attentive Staff. Clean Room and Bath. But the overwhelming problem is- the whole place is falling apart! Paint pealing is the least problem, the BIGGEST and MOST DANGEROUS is The SAFETY RAILINGS to PROTCT ONE FROM FALLING TO GREAT INJURY OR DEATH, are ALL LOOSE!! With RUSTED SCREWS CORRODING and NAILS MISSING AND WOOD SPLINTERING TO THE POINT THE SAFETY RAILS SWAY AT LEAST 3 INCHES BACK n FORTH!!!! What?? So if ANY one, especially a HEAVY KARGE MAN or Someone whos Hd TOO MUCH TO DRINK should LEAN ON IT, THE WEAK RAILING WILL GIVE WAY!!!!! We we AMAZED at THIS i incredible SAFTY ISSUE!

Maintenance and infrastructure problems at the hotel:
1. Very low maintenance at the hotel. Paint, air conditioning, railings, etc.
2. Bicycles are in terrible shape.
3. Cenote, stairs, rails, boat very bad shape
4. The most important they only have one restaurant open and interchange with the elegant one.
5. THERE IS A HUGE CONSTRUCTION RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL, noise and dusty.

The architecture of this resort is really gorgeous, however I expected much better services and customer service from a luxury resort. Pilates and fitness classes are advertised, but there was only a very beginner level yoga class available in the morning. Service to the pool was inconsistent - sometimes we would get service, sometimes we would need to go ourselves to the bar to order, and our requests were sometimes forgotten. I was also surprised to see the amount of extra charges - there was a whole separate menu of food at exorbitant fees, which makes you question the quality of the food that was included as part of the all-inclusive charge. There were cancellation fees of 25USD for the yoga classes - my own fancy gym in Montreal wouldn’t charge me that. Room service required a fee, and it was not otherwise possible to bring food to the room. These are things I expect at a regular hotel, but not one that advertises itself as a luxury hotel. It really undermines the luxury of it all.

Aside from that, it is a stunning resort. Very calm and clean.

Blue Diamond was great when I first arrived, but unfortunately, the experience declined as my stay went on. I paid for four nights but only ended up staying three, as I chose to move to another all-inclusive resort for a day.

Service was a consistent issue. The bellboys often kept guests waiting under the hot sun for over 10 minutes, and overall responsiveness was slow. For example, it took about 1 hour and 45 minutes for maintenance to come and fill the cold tub outside my room, which was quite frustrating.

During breakfast, I noticed what felt like preferential treatment. I was one of the first to arrive but waited a long time and was only offered bread. Shortly after, a Caucasian couple arrived and were attended to immediately and offered more options. While I can’t say for certain, the difference in treatment was noticeable.

Another issue was payment preference. There seemed to be a strong push for cash payments in USD. When I mentioned I preferred to use my card, the attitude of staff noticeably changed. As someone traveling from Canada, I didn’t have USD on hand, so this created an uncomfortable experience.

Overall, while the property itself is beautiful, the service inconsistency makes it hard to fully recommend for an extended stay. It might be better suited for a short stay—one or two nights—rather than a longer visit, as the quality of experience seemed to decline over time.

Let me start with the positives.
The staff are absolutely great. They are happy, gracious and, responsive and overall make for a very pleasant atmosphere.
The food is phenomenal. From basic nachos and burgers, if that's what you feel like, to elevated breakfast and lunch, to top notch star-level dinners.
If you're looking for quiet and privacy, with under 200 rooms, this is the place. There are no late night parties. Solo travelers, were left alone by others - unless they wanted to engage.
There is wildlife to see, coatis, raccoons a few iguanas and some crocodiles (which are NOT a danger to humans).
There are some things that are entirely out of the control of the resort and the staff. The resort itself is built on a swampy area so in places there is that swampy smell. It's not by any of the rooms, only along the path between the Ambar restaurant and the beach-side complex. Quintana Roo's sargassum problem is managed as best as it can be at this resort. It's being raked away all day, every day. Unfortunately, neighboring properties don't do as much, or some (ANY) clean-up efforts, making for putrid smelling walks along the beach if you venture off property. Again - the Blue Diamond beach is cleared.
Unfortunately, along with the extraordinary positives, there are negatives. Each on their own would not be that big a deal, but compounded, they add up to an underwhelming experience.

Lovely space very carefully designed for comfort and enjoyment. It’s an old property and you can see where it’s aging. Our sink had mold in the crevices. Above our sink was a glass ceiling that was cracked allowing leaves to float in. Below our sink ants were burrowing, leaving piles of debris.

Everyone at this hotel is so friendly and wonderful, the stay was gorgeous for our honeymoon. We were treated to a honeymoon breakfast at our room, splurged on a love spa package and a romantic sunset dinner on the waterfront but even without these additional items our stay was incredible. We had the best time from adventures on our patio tour with Dayana, the conversations with buggy cart drivers at all hours of the day, the wonderful bartender Martin learning about the origins of tequila, beautiful beach views, many options for delicious food (our favourite was Ceviche bar), countless native animal encounters and we enjoyed being able to ride a bike together to get from A to B and we will seek to return to Mexico and visit Blue Diamond again in the future!

We were visiting from Australia for our honeymoon, most people are from America or Canada so I believe it was a bit surprising to have some Australians visiting perhaps for the first time to Blue Diamond, thank you for welcoming us and we will certainly recommend this stay to others. If we can provide two pieces of feedback to further refine the experience, please keep Ceviche bar open for extended hours perhaps until 10pm or later, it has great food and is worth having a snack place after dinner is finished at Ambar or Aguamarina. Also can the buggy carts fleet be expanded so more are available? There were often long wait times as we understand the resort is quite large.

I consider my review to be as objective as possible, as I am an experienced traveler. What can I say about the hotel?

If you are looking for peace, privacy, decent à la carte food (no buffet), and wonderful, attentive staff, then this hotel is definitely for you. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by lush greenery. You literally live in the middle of the jungle — among palm trees, vines, and many interesting animals that do not disturb you at all, so there is no need to be afraid. Yes, there is a pond with crocodiles on the property, but during our 10-day stay we saw a crocodile only once. Rather than being a downside, it adds a sense of exotic adventure and variety to the experience.

As for the downsides: if you have mobility issues, a disability, or are traveling with elderly people, you should carefully consider whether this hotel is suitable for you. The hotel is not equipped with ramps. To access one of the restaurants for dinner, you must climb three flights of stairs — there is no elevator or alternative access. The restaurant is located on the second floor. The same applies to access to the beach and the swimming pool, both of which require using stairs. This was quite challenging for my husband (who uses a walker) and for my elderly parents. That said, the staff are very kind and helpful and will assist whenever possible.

Wonderful hotel staff, who made our stay feel so special.
Jenny was a delightful staff and brightened our day with her positive vibes and cheerful smile.
As read on many prior reviews the hotel doesn't look as new as it once did. There are signs of wear and tear and agree some much needed maintenance is definitely required to the hotel to make it truly shine.
Being a boutique hotel does have its qualities where you are given quality over quantity and that showed, food and service was exceptional.

Blue Diamond is out of this world. It feels like walking into a \"White Lotus\" set. Impeccable grounds, gorgeous architecture, EVERY SINGLE staff member was gracious and kind...the food was amazing, the rooms were beautiful. We saw lots of coatis and beautiful birds.
The resort was very quiet and the ultimate place to relax. There are activities to do onsite but they were out of our budget.

Staff were friendly. Beautiful grounds. However, room did not have hot water. Maintenance was called out 3 times, then informed me that it was fixed, and to wait for it to get hot. Each time, it was 35mins wait. I can see maybe 10 min to get hot but 35 is a long time. It makes it so every time you use the toilet, you must wash in cold water. Then, the lights stopped working. It was not the power to the whole room, just all lighting. I was told maintenance was coming right away, but after waiting 45 mins I left the room. I had adjusted the room a/c warmer, but it never got warmer, even with the heater on. The bedding was all very thin sheets and no blanket to the side or on the couch or anything, so I had to sleep with both bath robes on top of the covers to stay warm, in a suite where I could not get warm by taking a hot shower unless I waited 35 mins.
When we checked in, we were given a whole show about free upgrades, and then the room I was “upgraded” to didn’t work, and was in a section right next to the construction of the resort next door. I heard construction noises constantly. If I went on the patio, even fully clothed and covered, I would get cat-called by the men working. I did not feel comfortable to be on the patio let alone lay out. Also we were told the resort was under-capacity, so one of the restaurants would be closed each night, yet I was not allowed to move rooms. My family also got the wrong room type, and one had to sleep on a couch.

This property is promoted as a 5 Star Luxury Resort but really is not! Might have been 10 plus years ago but very run down and in some cases unsafe, decking and railings are ready to break and met another couple who actually fell through railing when looking at alligators below.
Feels like it’s been abandoned and reopened without any repair or investment going into the property. Mice droppings in room and when mentioned told property is surrounded by jungle and animals so to be expected!!
Only one restaurant open some days, very long walk or golf cart ride to beach and small pool or restaurant to eat anything. Room keys constantly stop working and require multiple in-convent trips to front desk to yet get another card that will not work, door scanners need replacing.. bell hops and waiting staff are wonderful and try to make up for shortcomings but property management poor and no investment on keeping it at a acceptable standard. Sewage smell, lobby advertised as having a cafe with light breakfast items, always empty no food to be had!! Paid for a spa experience in forest area with abandoned structures with toilet without a seat that didn’t flush and shower hardly working, lockers with lizards in them,.We chose this resort because photos represented beach as large and beautiful witch maybe at one time it was, worst by far on 3 mile stretch walked no upkeep going on, it was rated 5 stars and luxury, however a stretch to class it as a 3 star in my opinion. I had a horrible experience when I, after 21 hours trip. The concierge was arrogant and unfriendly, having ,e to sign a lot of paper just saying :Sign there. But the worst came when he insisted that I should pay the whole amount for my stay I had problems with my Amex so he ordered me to phone my bank in Sweden (the time there would be 5 am). I refused and asked if it could wait until the following day. He refused. So he let me go to bed after paying half of the bill, with a credit card how actually is connected to my wife. Finally I got to my room.
The following morning when I was ordered to go to reception to pay the remaining part it showed that the costs were pre-paid.I can't get rid of a bad feeling that the insistency of the concierge had some special purpose.

Extremely sad since I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. But the reception overshadowed the rest, unfortunately

This property is great if you are looking to disconnect. The place is quiet and feels very inserted in nature. The staff is probably the best staff you are going to get anywhere. They are very cordial and cater to what you need. The main issue that we had is that the facilities are not being maintained as they should. They are decaying fast. On our first night the AC wasn't working so that took the first and second day to get us transferred to another room where the AC was better. The transportation around property is heavily dependent on Golf carts and there are not that many. So we love to use the bikes. The issue there again is that there are not that many bikes. and the ones that are there are in no good condition. We had to express our frustration and then we got bikes assigned to us. There is no peer, no kayaks either. The food is great and again the staff is supper.

This hotel is a gem and I wished my family and I had more than 5 days to stay. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are beautiful (ours had a patio pool and double showers in the bathrooms), the spa facilities are really worth mentioning (any guest can use them regardless of whether you are getting treatments or not), and food was delicious. There are plenty of bikes to use on the property so we loved cycling between our rooms and the beachfront pool and restaurants. It was truly relaxing and I can’t wait to go back.

The beach is 1 mile away, they only have three restaurants that are not open all the time. They dont have a good variety of food. You need to get dropped off and picked up anywhere you go. I booked a room with tub outside that we couldnt use becauee they said the service was not available. I cancelled my stay and still got fully charged for it. I am suing expedia and the hotel

My partner and I just wrapped a week long visit of the Blue Diamond Resort. It was perfect! The property is stunning, with loads of natural scenery and wildlife and the staff are truly exceptional. All I can say is that I have no idea how this resort had rated so highly. Not sure where to start. Inedible food, a front desk that claimed they had no stomach medicine, nor did they know where to get any. Seriously? They seemed to be unaware they had a small store on site 10 feet from the front desk and a pharmacy outside their gate about 50 ft away. I’ve traveled to Mexico many many times, as well as most of S America, and my girlfriend is born and raised in MX. So issues with a language barrier. In any event, I could go on but not worth the energy. My first and last stay here. Ever. Personally, I would avoid like the plague.

The property is beautifully designed and well maintained, with stunning architecture and a serene layout. The trade staff were professional and helpful, and the sommelier was by far the best part of the dining experience—offering thoughtful wine pairings that stood out. Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing: the chicken was dry, and the pasta and risotto were consistently overcooked and lacked flavor. The beach was also a letdown—dirty, poorly maintained, and to our shock, there was a chair with what appeared to be blood on it that remained untouched for several days despite staff passing by. It was also difficult to find snacks outside of dining hours, and the lobby offered very limited options. Many staff members seemed overworked and tired, which affected the overall service. While the setting and design were exceptional, serious issues with cleanliness, food quality, and staff support made the stay feel far below expectations.

Leading up to our stay, I was a bit concerned, as I read a lot of reviews from previous guests and they all seemed to disagree quite a bit.

Personally, this hotel was exactly right for us. We were looking for a relaxing experience and no party with great food and views.

Our room was very close to reception, so we went there to have a snack every morning instead of going for the full breakfast in the beach restaurant. When we wanted to go to the restaurant in the evenings, we either walked, cycled or used Whatsapp to ask for a ride from one of the friendly staff members. I have to admit that a lot of the bikes were in bad condition, but we made it work.

We absolutely enjoyed seeing all the animals around the property, e.g. iguanas. The green spaces also made us feel very relaxed and we loved our terrace.

We really enjoyed the food in both the restaurants. We felt the portions were a bit small in the more formal restaurant, but everything tasted amazing.

While the hotel was super quiet, there is entertainment, e.g. Mayan/ Mexican dancing during the Mexican dinner night.

We also took 3 trips that were organised by the hotel in smaller groups, which we really enjoyed.

Last but not least, some previous comments were directed towards the manual removal of algae at the beach - there are a lot of waves, so the manual removal seemed like a never ending story. I tend to agree that a machine would make this a lot easier.

Quiet luxury. As a solo female traveler I was so happy to finally find the perfect resort. It is small, quiet and has a lovely understated atmosphere. The staff is the best I’ve encountered in any of the resorts in Mexico. I celebrated my birthday while there and the staff went out of their way to make me feel special and loved. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the blue diamond!! We loved how much nature there was to look at during our morning walks or bikes around the property. It was a quiet and relaxing retreat with my partner- from the included snorkeling, days on the beach, lounging by the pool, swims in the on resort cenote, cocktail class and eating the delicious food! The food was really good, above the normal resort quality. All food was made to order and they were very careful about allergies and any alterations. We really liked how much fresh fish was on the menu!! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone that wants to eat delicious food and drinks & have a relaxing time!!!

We stayed in the lagoon junior suites. The rooms were nice and spacious, with a massive bathroom, bedroom and secluded plunge pool. It looks just like the pictures!! The plunge pool was a good temperature after a hot day. We also like hanging out on our lagoon patio playing cards and looking for animals. Our air conditioning worked and kept our bedroom at about 22C. No issues there.

The staff were very friendly from the minute we got there. The front desk was really accommodating! We liked biking in the morning to the lobby to have an espresso and feed the fish. Most of the staff worked for a few years and worked daily. It was nice to get to know all the staff by the end, most notably Gustavo, Jenny, Zara, and Rubin.

We can’t recommend the blue diamond enough! We truly had a wonderful time!

We loved our stay at Blue diamond Hotel, it was serene and quiet without the Hussle and Bustle (Kind of how I pictured my vacation).
Staff was very accommodative and kind. Was a bummer as the sea was rough and windy- Snorkeling wasn't allowed as we were not pro swimmers.

If I really have to call out something as an area of opportunity to improve on would be to have the rooms AC system looked at. The Junior suite we stayed at (Room # 352) did not have cooling at all, We had to request for technician who came in and inspected the unit and decided to fill AC refrigerant, Once it was refilled, AC working well for that night and then the cooling died off.
Considering how hot it gets in Cancun, AC should be as cool as possible for a Hotel of this status quo! Kindly look into this part alone.

Loved this resort, small and not over crowded. The staff are AMAZING! Super friendly , kind, go out of their way to make you feel good! The sommelier Jesus was great, Eduardo and Jenny and Maria were all amazing at each meal. The spa was quite nice amenity and the gym was nice as well. I would give this resort a 9/10 only because the resort needs to spend some time and attention on the upkeep of the property. It’s needs some TLC. Steps were loose, lights were popping out of casings, railings were missing and things could use a coat of paint. It’s sad as everything else is amazing but they seem not to spend money on upkeep. All that said i absolutely would stay again as the food and staff were really good and I liked the smallness of the resort. It never felt overrun!

The Blue Diamond is a gorgeous retreat. We stayed in a Patio Junior Suite and it was very comfortable. It was also incredibly private. The whole resort, in fact, is extraordinarily private. You arrive to the front lobby, which resembles a shrine. From the time we arrived, to getting checked-in, to walking the long path to dinner, it took us over 2 hours to see any other guests!

The images online don't make the layout clear. The lobby is about 1.5 kilometres from the beach. The Jr Patio Suite are about halfway, so a good 750m to walk in the morning. It is a gorgeous walk. The grounds are immaculate, lush, well-groomed and maintained, with occasional animal highlights (tajones, iguana, caiman, etc). We loved the privacy, and it often felt like we had the resort entirely to ourselves.

There are two beautiful pools above the beach. In our time there, we never saw a single person use the pools. We also saw only a couple of couples brave the wavey water. The wind was very high every day, and the seaweed was intense. They worked hard to clear it (by hand, they don't have any beach grooming machines, but they were overwhelmed. The pools were kept cold, which is fine, but the cold with the heavy wind made them unusable.

The food was exceptional. We went as a vegetarian and a vegan. The vegetarian had excellent options at almost every meal. The vegan had fewer options. Breakfasts and lunches were real highlights for both of us, but main courses got pretty bland.

This resort is the perfect quiet, adults only place for us. We were a group of 5 who agreed that the villa style accommodations with private backyard lounging spaces, are so peaceful. The resort is built lengthwise (1 mile deep) into a mangrove forest with a river and cenote. Golf carts were always passing by on the 1 mile walk from concierge to ocean, and free bicycles were always parked along the walk, so we had options for getting back and forth.

The food was delicious. Portions were small but unlimited and that let us choose many flavours.

There are also 3 pools- 1 with an ocean view and 2 by the spa.

Meals were sitdown and typically took about 1.5-2 hours. The only things I'd add to this place are a buffet, at least for breakfast, and more water bottle refills in the rooms.

Our group of 5 is well travelled, with about 6 all inclusive stays among us prior to Blue Diamond, and we agree that BD is our favourite.

We checked in and they told us the air conditioning was broken but it would be fixed in a few hours. Nothing got fixed. The entire resort had no air conditioning. The room was 40 degrees Celsius all night and we couldn’t sleep. Called the resort in the morning and they said that the air conditioning was going to be fixed in a few hours again. We went for break fast, and the other guests were saying not to trust them, so we checked out and booked another resort. Food wasn’t good either. When I asked for a refund through Expedia they lied to Expedia and said the air conditioning was working when it wasn’t.

Was expecting a 5 star resort experience as advertised but it turned into an unexpectedly stressful stay. We stayed for 6 nights and ended up staying in 3 different rooms due to broken AC. Every day the staff would assure us that the next day it would be fixed. Our last 2 nights the temps were over 85*F in the room and it was almost impossible to sleep.
We had issues with plumbing in multiple bathrooms around the resort and there is a smell of sewer around the property.
The private plunge pools are not filled unless you specifically request it. We had to ask them to fill the pool at least 3 times as it kept draining before we could use it. They use rags to plug the drain.
This resort has so much potential but it seems that there has been no upkeep for the facilities for at least 10 years.
We were extremely mislead by the high numbers of positive reviews which specifically do not match our experience.
The only saving grace is the friendly staff (Eduardo and Raul were great) and the good food. Also the grounds are quite beautiful and we saw a lot of cool wildlife. Unfortunately the beach is very small and we encountered quite a bit of trash and debris in the water.
The condition of the facilities and the lack of AC are the main reasons we will not return or recommend this resort. Spend your money somewhere else that actually invests in their property, staff and guests.

The staff is wonderful, and the food at all the restaurants is delicious. The atmosphere is calm, with beautiful walking paths and a peaceful, romantic vibe. However, we did encounter a few issues during our stay. The seaweed on the beach was not cleaned regularly, which made it quite unpleasant. It seemed that there were not enough workers to handle the volume, and cleaning was done manually, which was inefficient. We noticed that another hotel down the beach was using machines to collect the seaweed, which was much faster and more effective.

Additionally, the property, including the buildings, rooms, spa, and amenities, could really benefit from significant renovations. Despite being advertised as a 5-star hotel with VIP access, many areas felt outdated and in need of improvement. The rooms, in particular, had a musty smell, and there was a noticeable squeaky feeling in several areas.

Regarding the spa, we were disappointed to find that the steam room was not working, and there was no air conditioning in any of the rooms there. This made it uncomfortable, as you would find yourself sweating while trying to relax.

If you’re primarily looking for peace, solitude, and great food, this hotel might be a good fit. However, considering the price and the hotel’s 5-star status, it doesn’t quite live up to the expectations of a true luxury experience. Lastly, the roof of our room was not accessible, and when we inquired, we were simply told, \"Your space is off limits.\"

We liked the property overall and the fact that it was very nature based and the animals living with it. The food was very well and plenty of options. The service was excellent as well.
The property must have been 20 years ago stunning. The current status of the hotel is in a very bad shape and even dangerous!! My husband was leaning at the handrail close to the restaurant and almost felt off. The railway downstairs at the restaurant was not even angered anymore. The outside restrooms need fixing too. They are in bad shape as well. The cabanas at the poolside falling apart. Such a shame for this once upon a time stellar ambience. The air-conditioning in the bedrooms are too loud that we couldn't keep them on over night. We had to open the doors but there was no screen at the doors. So we had a few mosquitos biding us.
The owners urgently need to reinvest some money to keep it up to speed before no one is coming back!!

We absolutely loved this vacation. Everyone was wonderful from the moment we stepped out of our taxi. Juan Carlos greeted us with a warm smile and was so helpful with our bags and a lovely welcoming beverage of fresh juices. Reception, who we reached out to prior to arrival went way above our expectations ❤️. They were instrumental in setting up the rest of our stay and we will be forever grateful. Jose, our butler and go to for all things was awesome!!! The food was fresh, healthy and with a variety of offerings that we rarely had the same thing twice. Fresh juices and sushi at Aquamarine with the BEST waitstaff - Francisco, Maria, Exmina and Eduardo greeted us everyday. Ceviche Restaurant was yummy too. Ambar was the just incredible (Spare Ribs -Delicious!!). Thank you to all the drivers Fernando, Moses. Snorkeling, Cocoa Ceremony, trip into Dtn. Playa, We had the best Anniversary yet❤️❤️❤️

Property was severely dated. The walkways were crumbling, the wood decking was raised in several areas including my room where I ripped my socks. Bathroom mirror was in disrepair. Room smelled musty. Main restaurant closed two nights. Cigar lounge closed entire trip. Breakfast food was cold. Beach was covered in seaweed.

The room was decent but no hat water for 2 days . Very weak wi fi. The AC drip line plugged and flooded our bed forcing us to take a lesser room for 2 days. The restaurants were at best fair. Two dinners were inedible. Breakfasts were OK if we stayed with basics.

My friends and I stayed here for 5 days in February 2025. At first, we are a bit concerned about the negative reviews and didn’t know what we got ourselves into. I’m not going to lie when we first arrived, we were somewhat concerned. Our hot water wasn’t working, the air-conditioning wasn’t working that well.

However, by the next day, we were absolutely in love with the property and the staff. It was the most relaxing trip I think I’ve ever been on. The food was outstanding. The staff was above and beyond and it was just a beautiful property. It was exactly what we were looking for.

I want to give a special shout out to Juan Carlos and Fabian and the concierge, I apologize I forgot your name, who went above and beyond to make our stay magical.

Please don’t let the negative review sway you, this place is truly special!

I’m happy overall. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent and were pretty consistent overall. We had a few slow meals and there were some minor aesethetic issues but overall a great experience. Most elements of the spa weren’t working- steam room wasn’t hot, hot tub wasn’t hot, sauna also didn’t heat well. The gym area was very good and allowed for a nice morning workout. The upkeep on the vegetation and trees was impeccable. During weekdays there was a lot of noise near the beachside area, but once inside it was largely drowned out. Again- overall this was a good experience and for what you get a solid value.

We had a terrible experience here because it was supposed to be a dog friendly hotel and it really it is not, I don't know why advertise it like that. They charge you certain amount per day for the dog and you can only go to the worst of their restaurants with him, and you can't leave it on the room, so what are you suppose to do. We were told about all this restrictions once we were there so we couldn't do anything about it butt if you have a dog and plan to go DONT. Expedia should remove them from the dog friendly hotels. I have to say most of the staff of the hotel were incredible except a few bad apples but at the end they did spoil our vacation. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Nice resort but not 5 stars at all

So the place is nice but has seen better days. From the air conditioning malfunctioning to hot water being on and off, mostly off, the place could use some renovations. The staff is mainly very nice though.
The food seems to be some kind of cheap fix to look fancy. It seems as though they really tried to cut costs on that part as they plate everything nicely but there is no taste and you can tell many corners were cut to achieve it. Disappointing in a nutshell.
There is construction next door so there will be noise, smoke and dust.
By no means a 5 star experience, so do not go expecting that. The premises are nice though.
