Disappointing - no sunbeds

Hotel was adequate, but the all inclusive benefit was poor. Not enough choice in the restaurant, food limited in nature and fairly basic / bland.

Good luck finding a sun bed - all gone extremely early and not enough to meet the needs of the number of guests in the hotel. Overall, at best, barely mediocre.

Nice hotel overall, feels like a “budget Mitsis,” but still a solid choice. It’s quite large, which isn’t really my preference, and there were a few minor issues. That said, the stay was pleasant and the atmosphere enjoyable. They seem aware of what could be improved. I might consider coming back in a few years.

Well nothing wrong with the place but everything is average , especially for the price .
The rooms are dated but functional, the food at the dining hall is average but very overcrowded , the drinks are very average and limited ( not aperol spritz … in which summer world has this hotel lived) …. And every morning you better wake up early to secure a sun lounger as there are not enough for everybody …
I will simply not come back …

Had a fantastic week, there’s at least 5 outside pools, all inclusive food - meals buffet style across main and beach restaurant, other options - pizza/pasta and sandwich bar. Wide range of drinks also all included… wine, beer, juices, fizzy drinks, water… pancakes and ice-creams favourite for our family!!! Long beach - loads of sun beds. Entertainment every day and night.. staff really friendly.

From check in to check out we had an amazing time, all the staff were friendly and efficient, rooms were clean, all areas tidy, food was varied, main restaurant buffet, pizza, pasta, salad and assorted freshly made sandwiches and wraps, plenty of bars to choose from with a variety of alcohol and soft drinks, plenty of places to visit in the area, overall a great holiday

In generale fu positiva, e sicuramente ci tornerei. I punti di forza sono la posizione, sulla spiaggia; la struttura, è molto grande. I ristoranti sono ampli e nonostante la quantità di persone sono gestiti bene. La modalità all inclusive, permette di avere rinfreschi e spuntini in mezzo alla giornata. Le stanze pulite e abbastanza spaziose. Il personale gentile. Credo che ci sia un buon rapporto prezzo e servizi offerti.
Le cose che ho trovato negative sono: Non ho trovato un impiegato che parlassi italiano o spagnolo. All'arrivo nella reception non ci hanno fornito tutta l'informazione necessaria e si sono scordati di darci i braccialetti.
Credo che ci siano 4 piscine, anche se molto affollate, due particolarmente dedicate ai piccoli. Purtroppo, non è permesso l'accesso a tutte (credo che dividano per struttura o colore di braccialetto) Questo non mi è stato spiegato, quindi, cercando quella più tranquilla, sono andata in una piscina e sono stata cacciata, solo dopo, nella reception mi hanno spiegato che non tutte le piscine erano per tutti e solo in quel momento mi hanno dato il braccialetto.
Nelle piscine ci sono bagnini, ma non tutti fanno rispettare le regole, sono finita in una piscina \"più calma\" dove i ragazzi (ventenni) si tuffavano e schizzando, e giocavano pala in piscina dando fastidio a tutti, davanti allo sguardo del bagnino che non si è mai mosso.
Al nostro arrivo la cassetta di sicurezza era guasta e non hanno potuto risolvere in nessun modo.

The hotel is in need of a refit in key areas. We initially stayed in the bungalows which need new bathrooms and doors fixing. After the flooding we moved to the Riverside rooms and these were a million times better! Bar and restaurant areas need a refresh.

This was the first time my family and i visited Greece we loved it the hotel was amazing it actually blew me away the reception was excellent the cleaning was top the food was mind blowing, when i posted pictures got great feedback i have definitely recommended this hotel to everyone my daughter loved her stay as this was a surprise holiday for her we used most facilities especially the pools.We're planning the next one already. Thanks for the great hospitality 😁

This hotel is rated a 3 star and that is being generous. The beds were hard as a rock. The shower was so tiny my husband barely fit. There were no pool towels provided so bring your own. All inclusive alcoholic drinks were absolutely terrible. Only one buffet and the food was pretty much the same every day. We ate out a lot because after two days I was sick of their mediocre food. The parking is a LONG walk away from the hotel. This could be a problem if you are older or have trouble walking a half mile in 90 degree heat. Entertainment was nothing special and people don’t watch their kids so they kept getting on the stage while performances were going. 🙄 Overall was pretty disappointed with everything and honestly I’m not that hard to please. The spa was nice and we were pleased with our massages. The beach is decent. You have to pay for wifi which is totally ridiculous! I give this place a 1 star and set your expectations low.

Great value for money and family friendly

Excellent value for money, very clean and all staff very kind and professional. Perfect location for family with kids, as everything is within a 2 minutes walk from the room: the beach, the slides and the pools, and the restaurant. Food is good quality, and it is easy with kids as there is a variety of choices and with self service no need to wait. Our stay was also slightly stressful one night as a group of Dutch people in their late 20s were very loud and drunk and kept very loud tecno music in their room until 5am, but the staff helped us to make them quite down and this did not repeat anymore - this was not responsibility of the hotel and they dealt professionally with the situation. Within 20 minutes walk there is a little village with very nice restaurants on the beach for people that want to eat out a few nights.

Our family holiday was lovely. The resort was clean however some parts due for a paint. The food was great, lots of variety and the local dishes were probably the best. Most of the staff were friendly particularly the cleaning staff.

We booked a shuttle transport from the airport through Expedia which all went smooth sailing.
We arrived very late/early 2am on a Sunday morning, the reception staff was amazing and even organised a bite to eat for us. Our room was basic but clean and the room was serviced daily. We had our own private balcony. We stayed in the river side building which was a lovely quite location. We received fresh towels and bedding and even soap and shower gel daily. We booked the all inclusive options which was really good. There are 3 bars to choose from and two restaurants for meals. The food was varied and interesting. Nothing to complain about.There were activities every evening. The location of the property was really good especially if like us this was your first visit to corfu. There is a busstop right outside ( to the left ) of the property with Green busses taking you to corfu town , across the road is another busstop taking you to Agios St Gorgios, to Lefkimmi and Cavos. There is a bus info kiosk to the left as you leave the property who is helpful. Across the property there are many restaurants and places to book cars, and boat cruises. On the beach there are many activities to be booked and even more restaurants. What I would highly recommend is a tavern in the mountains in Chlomos called the Balis Tavern - it is well worth the walk (or hire a car as it is a steep mountain) with spectacular panoramic views of the Island and mainland Greece.

Liked our stay here. Very nice food in buffet and staff are very accomodating for vegetarians/gluten free food. They provide packed lunch if you are going for day trips. Hotel was comfortable. Nice pools.

Gotta pay extra for the slides (6 Euros) though.

As a family of 5 we was in a 2 bed bungalow which was modern, spacious and clean. It had a room with 2 single beds and bunkbed and the other room with 2 single beds - great for families of 5 or 6. Within walking distance of the sea and both pools, great location with amenities around you.

Unfortunately the aircondition in our room was leak and went all over my child's bed, we didnt found out until we got ready for bed. Its was our first day, very tired after a early flight plus bus journey so its wasnt great. But to be fair, soon we rang receptions they respond super fast, engineering came fixed it and two house keeping ladies came clean all up quickly and changed new bed within 30mins. We are pleased and we totally understand that is not their fault that the aircondition be broken down on our first tired day. So in total 7 nights we are happy being there.

Lovely Hotel

A really nice hotel which was very clean. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was great. The on site water slides were good value at €6 for the week per person and all the pool areas are well manned with lifeguards, all staff were always happy to help. If you want to go have a few meals away from the hotel there’s some amazing tavernas just across the messonghi river €1 to cross per person by a little rowing boat. The beach / sea was clean and calm, again manned by lifeguards. There’s lots for kids to do and our two aged 5 & 6 loved it, even the evening entertainment was great. To be honest I can’t think of many bad points, if anything the showers in the room were a little on the small side but manageable if average size. Lovely place and well worth a visit.

Everything you need on site. Cleaners were very polite and hardworking. Great location right on the beach. Nice little river boat crossing (€1 per person) over to the shops and restaurants on messonghi beach which is much better than walking 10-15 along the main road!

The property was set in unspoilt absolutely beautiful surroundings. The food was lovely too and plenty of it.

However, basic facilities that I'd expect at an all inclusive resort, such as provision of beach towels and plenty of structured activities for children were lacking. Not having the beach towel service should have been advised in advance as families would not ordinarily travel with towels. Additionally, there was little or no evening entertainment. Given the location was fairly remote, I thought there ought to have been.

Lovely hotel.. lots of places to enjoy company or a good book .
Food plentiful and lots of choice.. not piping hot but there is a microwave in restaurants ..am sure you can get it to the perfect temperature

Room clean comfortable and modern ..in the riverside block .. so quiet ..

Reception staff were fabulous on our 00.30 a.m Check in .. thank you..all small things requested / needed were done with no problems at all..

4 pools altho one is exclusive to a private group .. there is more than enough areas/pools to wander about to so didnt affect our hols...

Overall fabulous relaxing holiday and lovely staff.. in all areas

ACCOMMODATION: Selected best available (Beachfront Bungalow Plus). Excellent, modern furnished to a high standard. Large patio doors open to a veranda with 2 loungers, chair, table & fantastic sea views just 30 meters away! Nice shower, bathroom (no bath) kettle, 2 single beds which push together easily, & fridge

FOOD: Made sense for all inclusive as cost similar, & ate out occasionally - great value. Included breakfast, mid morn snack, lunch, mid aft snack, dinner, coffee, beer, cold drinks available any time. Excellent breakfast (4.5 star) but other meals would rate 3 star - large selection but hit and miss. Many Tavernas nearby with excellent food

STAFF/CUSTOMER SERVICE: All staff were really nice, helpful, courteous, friendly & attentive to needs

FACILITIES: Great facilities for children & adults

ENTERTAINMENT: Great entertainment every night. Lots of traditional Greek style entertainment & dancing. Great fun nightclub on the complex in a separate building from the main bar with safe and relaxed atmosphere. Younger people tend to go there but we are in our fifties and didn't feel out of place

LOCATION: Many bars, restaurants & shops nearby. Corfu town 35 mins by bus 2.4 euros from hotel. Beaches have lovely views but short tidal range (goes out & in just a few meters). Pebble beaches, water accessible but need plastic shoes or will hurt feet

OVERALL: Excellent value for money Fantastic place to relax or party, you cant fail to have a great holiday here

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights-the room's wall was so thin you could hear the next door's guess footsteps,the room was very basic as well . All staff preferred speaking French only.

Extremely noisy with party particularly at night and afternoon,with a large group of French people ,just French (Marmara Club) with the huge speakers for the the fitness club within the resort,it was unreal!! We couldn't sleep well after midnight ! Total madness.

The only good thing about this resort was that it has a private beach -and was close to some shops . I would not recommend this place if you're looking for relaxing time but if you're French speaker and love party then this is okay.

I traveled here with my husband and 14year old son in August, on arrival the check in staff were very friendly and helpful and then one of the bell boys who was really helpful, took us and our luggage to our bungalow, he sorted the safe out for us and made sure we were happy with everything, I have to say the two bedroomed bungalow was great very roomy just the bathroom could of done with an update, the hotels cleaniness could not be faulted and all the pools and slides were great too, on the beach also which was lovely, the only thing that lets this hotel down is the food and drink !!! It really is dreadful we gave up after day three and ate out all the time, even buying and bringing in our own drinks, we had a lovely holiday with friends here but it ended up being a very expensive holiday having to eat out.

Best holidays in family oriented hotel in Corfu :)

Messonghi beach hotel was amazing.
We were 3 families (accomodated 2 x in Twin B and 1 x bungalow) and all satisfied. Clean and airconditioned rooms, all inclusive food, drinks, ice cream, snacks, coffe, cocktails, juices, everything you need. Any extra wishes for surcharge (water slides, wifi, drinks not included in all inclusive...) We can not say any bad word to our stay. Staff, food, rooms, pool, animated programs, bar, nightclub - everything was amazing.
Thank you very much for the great holidays Messonghi beach hotel!!!

Went with my Dad during quiet season it’s nice peaceful nice place with nice walks along the Beach. ATM and local shops nearby and lots of restaurants too. Which we didn’t really use as we were All inclusive. Food in hotel was good me and Dad always had clean plates. I would visit again as would Dad.

Friendly staff, great location and on the beach

I was told the beach front room I had been looking forward to had been flooded the night before as it had rained heavily so the apologised and gave us a room with same interior which overlooked the sea. In addition to that they gave us a bonus card which would entitle us to free hammam in the spa, free water slide, bottle of red wine in the restaurant, free sunbed, and on top of that dinner in one of the best restaurants with free taxi ride to and from the hotel. When I got into the hotel room they had provided me with a lovely surprise as it was my birthday which was really nice and kind of them. The restaurant they initially took us to were flooded/infested with cats (couldn't do it) and anyone would have just driven us back to the hotel but no, the driver got on the phone to the hotel explained what had happened and he took us to the best restaurant on a mountain top. Beautiful scenery and eat whatever we want including drinks (a lot of shots) and on top of that they surprised me with a cake (courtesy of the hotel). All in all we had the best time and although I was initially upset about not getting the room, in hindsight I'm glad we got all these instead of the room. The hotel manager Mariela and Vasos were great and all the other staff were helpful. Would recommend this hotel

We have to accept that as this was a last minute booking that we got what was left and we accept that bedrooms are basic in Greece, that said it would have been nice to have beds that were even the slightest bit comfortable, air-con did work (only in one room of the two bedroom bungalow) and room was clean, everything quite old and a little tatty. The dining experience was horrendous, food was cold presentation very poor, school dinners I remember being better, the layout was bad almost like being at the sales with people grabbing and pushing to try and get fed, staff worked very hard cleaning and laying tables. We have only been to two other all inclusive hotels (Cyprus and Dominican Republic) and this was the worst and not the cheapest. The Hotel favours the French holiday club that occupies half of the site , which looked better maintained and we were told by ex employees the rooms were of better standard and had been recently renovated, their swimming pools look so much better too. While we were there was a fatality on the beach and we were appalled by the length of time it took them to sort it, over 2 hours with only two sunbeds and a couple of sheets covering the poor gentleman up it was a disgrace.

Lovely location but ...

The location is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful, but there are some issues: the constant loud music by the pool and beach bar, the rather basic all-inclusive food (very little option for vegetarians) and the repeated power cuts and lack of water in the rooms.
We stayed in one of the twin blocks, which were clean but basic. On the plus side, we were right by the pool and beach, with fantastic views.
One thing to note: a large part of the hotel and facilities is taken up by a French holiday club and is only accessible by their members (who have different colour wristbands to general visitors).

The hotel is set in a great location.

The hotel on first impression is good, the reception is in a great state. But then the rooms.......dated....limited....tired and in need of some 21st century love.

The facilities were all there to use, swimming pools, beach, tennis court, basket ball court.

The reception staff were great, always helping and smiling, the catering staff were tired and drained. Maybe end of season blues!

The food is of a good standard, aimed more towards the European guest. But it was what we expected from an all inclusive hotel is Greece.

Lovely family experience, hotel accomodated for all types of weather, however we were lucky with lovely weather and our room being suitated right across from the beach. Disappointing that as we booked through expedia there was not a travel rep on site we could speak to, so therefore did not leave the site with the exception of a boat trip (which was fantastic and highly recommended) I would have liked to have seen more of Corfu, but unsure about transport etc.

We just came back from 1 week all inclusive holiday at Messonghi Beach...
I have nothing negative to say at all .It was such a great experience specially for the kids...Lot's of activities for the kids including the dancing in the evening which they loved. The food was great with lots of options to choose and is not repetitive every day there's something different to eat.

Good family holiday

Very good value for the money on all inclusive basis. The staff is nice, the food is good and varied. Loads of greenery around the complex, next to the sea and with several pools. Good facilities for kids.
The only down-point for me was that there were no designated smoking areas, especially in the evening the hotels's terrace was full of smokers. It would be nice if the area was somehow divided as there were plenty of kids running around.
Overall, very happy with the hotel and service and would recommend it for family holiday.

I would no recommend the resort to anyone. Staff was very rude, the hotel is old and needs to be renovated. Food was mediocre, same cuisine everyday and not very appealing. There was not much entertainment during the evening and you definitely need a car as there is not much to do at the resort or the surroundings.

Not much for kids, only one animation guy who only spoke to you if you were young and wearing a bikini.
Paid extra for upgrade but had worse room out of all my party of 4 rooms who did not upgrade. Very basic, budget holiday.
Mosquito's ruined whatever fun we could of had, will not be returning or recommending.

Great week, shame about the weather!

Cannot fault the entertainment, staff, location and facilities. The food was very good and certainly one of the best 3 star hotels for food.
My room however was a disappointment, very basic and in need of renovation but has so much potential. The view from the balcony was lovely and I loved the fact that the balcony doors filled the whole wall and could be opened to give the feel of being part of the view. It was lovely.
I had a problem with the water pressure at the sink and temperature of the shower, however, this was resolved as soon as I reported it . Excellent.

Hotel in good position for town and beach. Nice swimming pools. Rooms basic but clean. Food pretty good, but worth visiting a few of the local restaurants if you want Greek food. Like a lot of these all inclusive I find it very annoying to drink from small plastic cups.
Overall would go back.

the all inclusive package is misleading!!!! need to specify exactly wha its included. just as they have stated wifi(surcharge) shud do same with spa services, water slides, bottle water not part of fa package shud all be stated!!!!! wasnt impressed!!!

Room basic as expected but clean and functional. Third bed was a camp bed which wasn't ideal. Food was good but fellow diners were rude, didn't spoil the stay though.

Very basic :/ rude custom service rude bar people and the scoff house was much to be desired . For entertainment do not go if u have children with manners and one of the shows all the reps spit at the audience could not believe what I was seeing . Also food was only eatable at lunch time so people with children good luck !! The English ratio must be 1:10 no joke ohhh and just a warning the German, French but the towels out on the sun beds on an evening soo u have no hope in getting them :(

Messonghi beach hotel corfu

this is a large hotel, butlins style. lots of groups of apartments, 2 or 3 storys (one 5 story building). No lifts. As we found out the last 2 weeks of Aug are Greek holiday (factory fortnight?). The complex was full with 2000 tourists. Beach is grit, pebbles on first part of sea, then some sand and some seaweed once in the ater. Rooms are very basic although looked refurbished.We were in a standard room for 1 week and as soon as we could we paid extra for the superior room. The beds in both were extremely hard, esp the standard. I ended up putting the blankets from the wardrobe under my bottom sheet in a desperate attempt to get comfortable. superior rooms are the same but with fridge, air con and I think extra sheet changes. Maids were lovely, daily and very good. Food was poor, very repetative, vegetables overcooked, use of leftovers eg cold cauli, green beans and broccolli in mayo salad! plently of melon and icecream. cheap cuts of meat all the time, had chicken breast once in 2 weeks, chicken drumsticks almost every day. a lot of meat had fat on which I assume is because of insufficient staff to cut it off in the kitchen. Waiters very busy looked as though there should have been more staff to cope with the extra busy week (it was full). Queues all the time for drinks, except at the beach bar. Wine very cheap, gross! The kids club looked well used and fun, ( we didn't have kids) and there was a train that went around the complex between 6 - 8pm free, little quad bike things could also be hired. Lovely kids pool by beach. However, please note, a major concern. We swam in the large pool (there are 4) and trunks/bikini went green. Assumed it was the sun tan lotion. following day the pool was closed for cleaning, We used the sun beds and popped across to the next door pool every so oftern. the pool was closed for 2 days. During which I observed the maintenance men cleaning the pool with a vaccum thing, chemicals etc, they knew what they were doing. Next day it is open and I swam in it.At around 4pm the lifeguard is chatting to an exec in suit and shiny shoes (rather out of place!) by the poolside. Later I chat to the lifeguard and find out that he is not happy with the water quality. I ask about the maintenance men saying they seemed to knwo what they were doing, reply was that the lifeguard had asked for the pool to be closed 2 months ago and it was only now being cleaned. He wanted it closed but the management didn;t agree. They kept it open for the remainder of our stay. Lifeguards opinion is that the hotel is old and the pipes need renewing. he said that the circular pool was ok because you could see your feet! Needless to say I got out of the large pool and joined the circle pool swimmers. Sadly there were lots of children int he large pool right up to the day we left- and many had green cossies! Also for concern with children is the low walls going up the stairs about 2 ft high meaning it would be easy for a lively child to go over the top and fall 1 or 2 floors. also the windows on the landings were kept open these were only 1 ft off the ground altough they did have a wide ledge on the outside to prevent drops. No air con the public places, although the dining room did have a blower. Not big enough for the size. Very hot everywhere. Tables on the balconies were taken quickly but the smokers often had them. We had a good holiday but we are not that picky eaters- so we had the soup with crusty bread, melon, icecream, salad, some meat, feta cheese, and some cake pud things. breakfast was always yohurt, tinned fruit salad or tinned peaches, croissants or pastries or toast. The cooked breakfast was not appetising. Top tip- dowe egburts coffee in middle dining room not nexcafe!The weather wa lovely so we are well rested, shame it was not a good beach, good pool, less food but better quality. No we won't be returning but we can't fault the staff they were lovely and very helpful.Possibly it is the problems with the greek economy at the moment and the downturn in toursim. Hoepfully it will improve in the years to come.

Nous avons déjà été dans deux hotels Mitsis qui étaient extraordinaires mais celui-ci n’a pas le même standing. On nous a donné une chambre située au dessus d’un générateur et en plus peut-être dues à la tempête des odeurs de canalisations…
Apres deux nuits sans beaucoup dormir, nous avons demandé à la réception une autre chambre qui en effet était plus agréable… les chambres sont peu insonorisées et vous entendez les gens ( se doucher, parler…)
L’hôtel est malgré tout propre et le personnel sympathique avec un prix abordable.
A la fin du séjour, on ne vous demande pas comment ce dernier s’est passé.
Un peu déçu par rapport aux hotels de Rhodes et celui vers Heraklion …

Wir bekamen im Haupthaus ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Leider gab es in dem Zimmer oben über dem Hochbett der Kinder einen großen Schimmelbefall. Wir haben nach kurzer Zeit ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Die Einrichtung an sich ist schon, teilweise aber sehr alt.

Genial. Las habitaciones eran amplias y muy cómodas. el personal de limpieza encantador. El buffet era muy variado y el desayuno inmejorable. La calidad de la comida para ser un buffet bastante bueno. La animación era muy completa. Lo peor de todo, la masificación de agosto. En la playa y en las piscinas no hay tumbonas par todos y las piscinas son un poco pequeñas para toda la gente que hay. Pero por lo demás todo perfecto. Volveríamos. Relación calidad precio muy buena

Vi hade jätte kul under veckan vi var här. Bättre än förväntat. Det finns nästan allt man önskar sig ha på sin semester. Vid havet, fint utsikt och gandka ok mat.
Hotellet är dock gammalt och behöver renoveras.
