The staff was less than friendly, with the exception of the shuttle drivers and Olga, the concierge. The bartenders were the worst and they were one thing that attracted us to the property based on prior reviews. The room was clean and comfortable, with ocean views. However, the property should invest in bar height chairs, as the railing on the balcony obstructs the views when sitting. The food was cold and not great quality, pretty disappointing. The pool was beautiful, but the waterfall was broken and looked like it had been for quite some time. Overall, not horrible but I wouldn't stay again.

I booked our stay through Expedia and had a wonderful experience at Havana Cabana! I joined my son, bonus daughter, and grandsons for a fun-filled Key West weekend.
The resort has a great tropical vibe, a fantastic pool, and plenty of space for families to relax. The boys had a blast, and watching them make memories together was the highlight of the trip.
The staff was friendly, with a huge shoutout to Lana—she was amazing. The rooms were clean, and the shuttle service made getting around Key West easy. Overall, it was a fantastic family getaway, and we would definitely stay here again!

We (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay here! It felt like a very affordable resort. The free shuttle, free pool snacks, and free water bottles really helped feel special. We really appreciated that the pool snacks/drinks had something for all ages. We found the food at the food truck delicious! We sampled many conch fritters around the island and the food truck beat everyone! The biggest downsides were that 3 of our 5 days, they were short a shuttle driver so we had to wait longer than planned. Not a deal breaker though, since it was cheaper than an Uber! The other thing we didn't realize was that the double queen rooms don't have a couch, just 1 tall height chair at a desk. Again, not a huge deal because we didn't spend much time in the room, but it certainly would have helped us feel like we could spread out a little more. We arrived the week after some significant island flooding, so the room we had reserved wasn't an option and there was an overall musty smell, but we could see they were actively working on the damaged rooms so it seemed like they were working quickly to get everything fixed. All in all, we would highly recommend this for groups of all ages!

I picked this resort because the rates are reasonable, no parking fee, resort fee was reasonable , a great pool, and free shuttle.
It far exceeded my expectations. Accommodation were simple but clean and relaxing . The pool was fabulous. The rain fall shower was great also! The staff was amazing , including our shuttle driver . The Concierge was helpful with tips , coupons and in info for daily outings.

It far exceeded my expectations. Accommodation were simple but clean and relaxing . The pool was fabulous. The rain fall shower was great also! The staff was amazing , including our shuttle driver . The Concierge was helpful with tips , coupons and in info for daily outings.

I stayed in a standard room without a balcony, and honestly, it was much smaller than I expected. The room was very dark, with poor lighting, and there wasn’t even a comfortable chair to sit on. The mattresses were not very comfortable and could definitely use an upgrade. Overall, the room felt outdated and could use some renovation.

Amazing place! The shuttle service to downtown is extremely quick and reliable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The property is gorgeous. Free breakfast wasn’t amazing but was way better than what you expect from a complementary breakfast at a hotel. Skip the cocktails at the pool bar unless you get tipsy off water, but there are PLENTY of other places to get a good cocktail in Key West. This place is insanely nice for the price. If we ever return to Key West we will certainly be staying here again.

We stayed in room 230. Two queen beds looking out over the pool. No balcony. Pool music starts about 8 in the mornings. Wonderful pool bar. Comfy beds. Everyone was nice and helpful. Would definitely go back again!

This was such a fun hotel to stay in with an awesome pool and a shuttle to downtown so I didn't have to worry about finding parking. I especially loved the DJ at the pool every day spinning great tropical tunes combined with 80's dance music, and shots at 2PM daily! I wish I had stayed an extra night here because it was so much fun getting a suntan.

We asked to have the room cleaned ever day 2x we would ask and the room was never cleaned the toilet bowl was broken and had to call everytime we needed the toilet flushed I also had a service dog and they told me I still had to pay $75 for the dog it was gross

Havana Cabana could be a 4 or 5 star except for a couple of things. First is there late check out - $75 for an extra two hours. I was able get the concierge to allow it gratis but I had to work for it. Another item was on the last night we found a cockroach and a worm type insect. Nasty.
However the staff was helpful and nice to deal with. The bartenders, pool staff, etc. Other the the bugs mentioned the grounds were clean and well kept. However All in all i probably would not stay there again.

It was a great 5 day solo trip. The property was constantly being cleaned, employees always easy to talk to and very helpful. Food was absolutely great. The Cuban feel from food to music at poolside. The shuttle service was the best, from 8am to 10pm drop off and pick up in downtown, the more exclusive and more expensive resorts do not offer shuttle service keep that in mind when looking to book. I have nothing negative to say about this trip and the experience maybe because it was a solo trip...definitely will book the Havan Cabana resort again.

My only problem, the room pics perceive sand and ocean outside your balcony. When in actually theres a parking lot and 5 lanes of roadway between you and ocean water that's not accessible. 1st time staying in Key West and thats why i picked this place, i thought there was sand and ocean outside my room. This is an older property, but its nice, the staff was great! Its decorated nicely, it smells good, and our room was clean amd comfortable. The pool area is great. Centrally located to everything also.

The pool is infested with large iguanas that will eat your food if you leave it unattended. The iguanas fecal droppings are found around the pool as well as inside the pool making the experience disgusting.

Nice big modern TV. Binge watched paranormal shows the whole of the first day, it was that good. Pool is quite shallow but it's ok if you don't want to swim around in it. Free shuttle to the old town. There are annoyingly loud roosters all over Key West but if you enjoy a C**k a Doodle Doo at 4, 5, 6, or 7 am, and the rest of the day, you'll love it. It's a cool place to stay.

It’s a pretty hotel however they are trying to be an all inclusive resort and for you to eat and drink only there at their bar and pay too much for the food and drinks! You don’t have anywhere to sit and eat your own food you bring into the hotel except your room! Staff at the front were friendly however bar tenders and pool attendant's were not friendly at all! The shuttle people are nice but Mario is the best and very friendly! We enjoyed the pool very much however like I said unless you are an all inclusive resort you should allow your patrons to eat and drink what they buy outside of the hotel!

Amazing 3-night stay at HC! We were in town for a wedding & extended at this beautiful property. Loved everything about it: waterfront location/walkway, sweet/knowledgeable staff, unique pool, food/drinks, happy hours, daily freebies (towels, smoothies, churros, sunblock/aloe, waters, shuttle to town), patio/pool games, Cuban décor, little gift shop, & beyond. The room had everything we needed & an amazing view of the pool day & night. We saw the staff constantly cleaning common areas & everything was pristine. Loved all the birds & hotel’s mascots (lizards & geckos-haha!). We would have been content to never leave the resort, but we enjoyed our time on Duval St. & the Harborfront as well. Definitely ck out the Hemingway & Truman houses for some culture & Zachary Taylor fort/beach, which was picturesque. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Keys for whatever reason. I hope to be back with my other adult children soon! 🌞

Bathroom wall had visible stain looks like mold, sheet had a stain and we requested new sheets they took over 4 hours and dropped them off for my wife to remake the bed, hotel charged $400 in fees once we arrived that we was unaware of the hotel didn’t provide a ride to the airport for departure, so we had to call a taxi , we was also disappointed in the shuttle service because they would be late or unable to pickup , the best thing about this hotel is the pool area and the historic lobby, plus they only drop at one location if you use shuttle buses .

The layout of the property makes pool access easy but the bar stays loud late into the night and is directly adjacent to rooms, not ideal for families. Limited food options on property. The only small issue I had was that I did request a few things through the text messaging system and didn’t receive a response. However, in person, the staff was 100/10 so kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. I came here for my birthday, and they truly made me feel special. We left feeling so relaxed. The transportation options were also amazing we rented scooters for $50 a day, there were bikes available for $14, and there was a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to Duval Street. The last shuttle comes back at 10:30 PM, which made it perfect for going out, bar hopping, and not worrying about driving. Our shuttle driver was also very kind and shared great stories on the ride.
