The pool was just like the pictures. They had decorated well for the closest holiday. The staff was very fun! No outside food or drinks at the pool were allowed, which was a little disappointing because my group was planning on purchasing outside drinks from a grocery store to save money. The shuttle from the hotel was very helpful. The hotel was very close to the airport, which was convenient. The condition of the room was great!

Hotel put me in room that had mold and did not move me to a different room until 3 nights later. Spoke with manager and was told that they would refund $450 for inconvenience. i dont think that was fair, i should have gotten a full refund for 3 nights.

Pool was ok at best . Not for the money. Staff was 50/50 rooms didn’t get cleaned right didn’t have wash cloths for a day and then had to let the front desk know we were out of toilet paper. Was no better than a motel 6. For what I payed and with all the fees. I will never go back. Lots of mold smells.

What a fun place. The pool and poolside activities made this a destination spot. Fantastic food, tiki bar, DJ, Nick with the Jell-O shots, and the funnel cake fries. The rooms were clean and staff was helpful and friendly. The free shuttle service to downtown was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Had power strip for coffee maker and light. Everyday it blew when tried to make coffee. Needs updated electrical work. Staff super nice. Hot tub not great- not very hot, jets not strong. Last day we went down in an and found it littered with alcohol bottles, cans and glasses. It was 0900 already but the staff had not even been by to clean it up! They showed up around 920 and picked it up. Should have been done way before customers want to use it. Free parking which was great.

The firat room we were assigned didnt have window curtains that covered the windows properly. We didnt feel safe as the room was facing the parking lot and we didnt have proper window coverings. The staff at the bar were not very attentive and slightly rude. We sat at a table and no one came to attend to us after 20 minutes of sitting there and trying to get someones attention

Room was amazing. VERY centered on drinking. But if that is your thing, they have a bus to bring you to the local bars and comp drinks. Weren't there long enough to get into the pool, but the room was absolutely amazing. View of the water from our balcony. Best place to enjoy coffee in the morning. Watch for the troublesome rooster who crowed at 830 am haha. Despite the bus coming back from the bars each hour, we never heard a thing (from outside or the hallways).

Once we packed and got to the airport, we realized that the suitcase and jackets that were in the closet had a strong musty smell.

Fantastic vibes - I would definitely stay there again! Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, the pool was beautiful, and breakfast was tasty. There were a few maintenance items in the room that need to be addressed, but the hotel seems to be refreshing all of the rooms so I imagine those things are being handled. One item of note is that we had difficulty with the shower in our room - the water temp would fluctuate during the shower (randomly becoming hotter and colder). Overall, I’ll definitely return!

The hotel atmosphere and the check-in service were good. However, it was impossible to rest.
On Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th, starting at 8:00 a.m., there was excessive noise from carts in the hallways and staff moving boxes directly in front of the rooms. I have visited Key West many times and have never experienced a hotel doing work so early in the morning, not even near Duval Street where nightlife is common. What made it more frustrating is that later in the day, there was no work being done at all. Due to poor coordination, this hotel is not suitable for resting.

I would love to say it was a great place because the pictures on hotels.com looked amazing. It’s a renovated Days Inn and the rooms are really paper thin. You hear every neighbor around you and above you. The staff was remodeling a room next to us using a forklift at 8am. Zero sleep was acquired on the first night there. Went and bought a sound machine for second night. Free shuttle that runs downtown every hour was 15 mins late and we missed a tour we had tickets for. Booked a room over looking “garden area” and got a room by the parking lot with semi trucks idling at 7am.

Pool, hot tub, patio, bar are great and really well done and renovated. The other things can’t be overlooked and for the price per night it was mentally and physically exhausting for what you get.

The sink in the room where we stayed stopped up, the shower wouldn't get warm. The room they moved us to the toilet started running, my husband had to fix it. The fees they charge are not worth the product received. The staff were very nice. The food from the food truck was mediocre and overpriced.

Yes the only problem was the plumbing in the bathroom.. shower head leaking even though maintenance came and sprayed it with something it continued to leak.. stopper in bathroom sink was broken we had to use a bottle cap to prop it open so it would drain. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!

I stayed at Havana Cabana at Key West for my wife’s birthday trip. Overall, the hotel was nice the front desk staff were helpful and welcoming, and the amenities were good, including a beautiful, large pool and pool side bar with amazing bartender.

However, our room had a ceiling that was actively leaking water onto the bed overnight, making it partially unusable. The bathroom was also not clean upon arrival, which was unexpected for a 4-star hotel.

The hotel waived the $60 property fee as an apology but declined a refund, and Expedia offered $50 OneKeyCash, which did not fully address the severity of the issue.

While the hotel has nice features and helpful staff, the leaking ceiling significantly affected our stay. This was disappointing for a 4-star property. Photos of the leak and bathroom conditions are attached and some more.

LOVE the cmas and cuban decor, kind staff (shoutout to Nick at the pool, Joe the hardworking DJ and the helpful bartender, Vlad), shuttle to airport and downtown, good food and drinks. Great place all around! Comfy bed and pillows in our renovated room. They charge a 1% credit card fee, but that seems common in Key West. Bring lots of cash!

This is the first time I’ve stayed at the Havana cabana and definitely will be back! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room that we stayed in was perfectly clean, easy access to the pool area, which was made up for Christmas, which was overly exciting for all of us. Bartenders were very helpful and drinks were good. On site food from the food truck was amazing. I cannot say enough about this place. We will definitely be back.
