We had a second visit to the inn and it was even better than the first! We were greeted like old friends, our room was decorated in a charming lake theme, and was very clean. There are two restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and both have delicious food and excellent service. I would recommend the western omelette at Little Sandy’s Restaurant—quite possibly the best in the world or at least the 5 countries I have tried! The Rowdy Rooster has a great atmosphere and some awesome Buffalo chicken dip! Although we stayed as a stopover on a longer trip we plan to return and check out all that the area has to offer, and of course we will stay at The Garrett Inn when we do!

We headed to Deep Creek Lake for a quick getaway and we were not disappointed with this hotel. On the outside it looks like an older 1950s-style roadside motel. However, on the inside the rooms are beautifully renovated, clean and spacious. The room came with all of the amenities including a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee station. Did I mention how clean they are? And the price was phenomenal for a summer stay at the lake. Five stars and we will definitely be back!

Be aware that the hotel WILL charge the card you reserve the room with on check in day despite what hotels.com says, they say they follow their own rules. They did refund the card and recharge the card I wanted to use though but it was awkward. Very clean, beds were hard but overall a nice place

The property had many beautiful plants and flowers and a fountain and comfortable chairs and a picnic table. The room itself was beautifully decorated with placemats, wall decorations, even a dispensor in the shower filled with shampoo, conditioner and soap. The beds were very comfortable!! It is off a highway so outdoors there was some traffic noise, but none in the rooms. Also plentiful ice was available. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this place .

This properly was close to Deep Creek Lake (not on the lake), and convenient to get to. It was clean and functional. While on a rather busy highway, the road noise was not an issue for sleeping. I like that it is a family owned business, and the small touches in the room make it unique. It was also affordable (which is the reason I chose it to begin with).
