We often stay here to check the perimeter fence of the wild wood at Carrifran. The proprietors always remember us and we always feel welcome and valued. Hot showers, good filling food and a decent pint in the evening - all essential and always avaiable. Great value. Can't beat it.

The hotel has a good atmosphere, with friendly staff. The room was generally comfortable, with a nice view of the adjacent hills. The only 'niggle' was that the shower took a while to warm up, and changed temperature a lot. The food was also very good. We would definitely go back.

The staff were most welcoming, friendly and efficient. Our bedroom was very comfortable and offered wonderful views. The food was really excellent with good sized quality portions. We loved our short stay and will definitely return.

Brilliant dog friendly pub with first class rooms.
The only downside was when I dined in the evening in the very busy restaurant the staff although very friendly just couldn't cope. I ordered a lovely pasta dish and requested some Parmesan cheese and a glass of wine with my meal. The reply was we have no cheese .. the wine never appeared. Spoilt my meal. Breakfast was great .. such a busy restaurant needs more staff to me the needs of customers. Thank you

We loved our stay at the Gordon Arms. The owners were exceptionally kind, providing us with sightseeing recommendations, regaling us with the history of the place, and serving us excellent fare-- even when they had closed for a race! We cannot wait to return with the rest of our family!
