Room was kept very neat and clean. There were not enough cloth hangers and no dresser to store clothes as we stayed longer. We had to leave them in our suitcases. The staff were very courteous and hospitable. The restaurant staff were very caring and the variety of food was amazing. Didn’t make use of all the amenities. We felt good that we stayed in a hotel that was central for shopping, airport and other destinations.

The hotel has a very clean lobby and very beautiful.
The rooms definitely need an upkeep and upgrade. An hotel of this grandeur stature needs rooms are equally very well maintained. Surely they are going to renovate.
On our first night we ordered room service waited for an hour and when we called back the room service told us well we had a changing team and was not informed about the order. Although they found out and rectified the error.
The breakfast had a great spread. But very little attention was offered by multiple staff members present.
At the check in the person who checked us in did not even offer information on hotels, breakfast and other services offered.
The staff definitely needs training in customer service.
The hotel was overall good

I stayed a week in this hotel. There is nothing to complain about it. The staff is amazing, and the Breakfast was exceptionally verry good. The hotel is very clean and close to the shopping centre. It is easy to reach by any form of transport.
Overall, it was a wonderful time.

When I booked the room with this hotel I was expecting a high end clean room however the room needs renovation and also there were roaches the staff did offer another room however we had too many bags and didn’t want to move they were nice enough and offered us a complimentary dinner. This is not a 5 star property, but it is rated as such on many sites. There is no air conditioning in the general area for floors 2nd above. So the moment you get out of the elevator, you feel the warm air and want to quickly get to your room. Breakfast is good.

We actually had 2 incidents where people knocked on our door and tried to enter (accidentally). The 2nd time, they did manage to open and enter. I had to complain to the Reception, and they said that they have taken it up with Security.

This was a rushed trip to see friends and family after 8 years.The hotel was recommended due to location.Greenpark hotel and its staff did not disappoint.Clean,well maintained and the staff go out of their way to help. Special mention to the cleaning lady Karpagam and Sninan at reception.
Our days were busy with rushing and meeting friends in a short span of time.
The highlight is the impressive breakfast buffet- the variety and yummy selection of items. Included continental and local South Indian favourites. And I love my filter coffee.I started each day with 4 cups of this. Thank you to the whole team in the Tulip restaurant for their hard work.
Was a relaxed and enjoyable stay.
The only downside was that the pool was under maintenance and out of use for some of our stay … but a very small blip.

Usually stay here but this time my check in experience was very bad.
Booked king bed room was not available and was offered a twin room. On reaching the room I noticed some construction work just on opposite the door and had to request for another. Was made to wait for about half an hour when another receptionist arrived to give me the room.

Services in the hotel is atrocious. One of the day there was no towel given in the room. Post 45 minutes of fighting to get the towel, they had given a used towel and after fighting got fresh towel.

This hotel boasts an excellent location and serves a good breakfast. However, the rooms are in need of updating, and the staff could benefit from increased awareness. Some requests require multiple inquiries, while others are handled efficiently. Certain staff members show genuine care, while others seem indifferent.

For instance, the hotel has a pool, but there were no poolside towels. Despite asking reception and three different individuals, none arrived, leaving me to return to my room wet and partially unclothed, as the poolside restrooms were also devoid of towels. Additionally, after room cleaning, no toilet paper was added.

On a positive note, some staff members at the reception and in the restaurants were exceptional.

I had a been fan for green park VADAPALANI for years. But the recent stay had showed me that quality had dropped drastically.
Bad experiences :
1. Found underwear under the blanket showing that they never changed the blanket and bed linen or someone misused the room after I checked in. Staff and the manager were apologetic and assured me thorough investigation. I could not sleep in the hotel after I found it at 2 am. And checked out asap and moved to nearby hotel.
2. No security screening for guests and baggage unlike in the past. Anyone can enter hotel and move around rooms area in the pretext of attending event or to the restaurant.

This hotel has gone down drastically. Pretending to be a 4 plus star hotel, surviving on events. Stayed here in 2022 also and at the time the restaurant food except breakfast was horrible. The property seemed ok. Now in 2024, except some common areas for show, the hotel is dirty and run down. Construction and dust everywhere, clueless front desk and suited staff walking up and down with no apparent purpose. Avoided the restaurant this time. Had wi-fi issue first night, but didn’t complain since it was late. Was assigned room feet away from construction. Next morning, after complaint at 10am was told new room would be assigned and luggage moved. Came back at 10pm, nothing was done. After going back and forth with front desk, another room assigned. This time not even able to connect to wifi. Back again to the front desk and they sent someone to check. Then the router had conked out, so had to be replaced. All this at night 11pm. This is why the entire place is useless and clueless. As for the room, stained sheets, no hand tissue, no slippers, banged up doors, dirty and mildewed showers etc. The reviews paint a rosy picture, but not reality. Avoid this place, nothing more than a 2-3 star all things considered.

The Hotel Green park is excellent in many factors. Location is great, right next to the mall, temple, metro station. It felt very safe, staff were amazing, service was awesome, their breakfast buffet is a must have. The lobby has this great vibe to hangout for hours. I stayed for 9 days at a stretch and not one day did I have a bad experience. I will recommend this hotel and also go stay again!

This property caters to local families and is probably fine for some needs. Pros: Lobby area was nice, non smoking rooms, and hardwood floors in rooms. However, would not recommend for business and international travelers. Cons: Internet was glitchy and then stopped working altogether in the evening. Was told IT person left for the day so they couldn’t help. Local food looked descent, but other options were not as you would expect. A very localized or different version of what you’d expect is served. Cappuccino maker at breakfast looked great but didn’t work. Coffee is not served at lunch at the barbecue buffet restaurant. Called down for toilet paper as the room had very little and finally received a tiny roll an hour later. Pool had pigeons and pigeon feathers in it, so didn’t look appealing to swim in. Lastly, was charged extra at checkout for two teens. On that piece, I would recommend not booking through Expedia, but a website that allows you to designate ages so as to get correct pricing from the beginning. Could have been informed at checkin, but was not. While staff seemed pleasant, they were not able to help in any of the situations and didn’t seem to be service oriented. Overall, disappointing.

They only give us room 5pm.
Booked business club room. They gave standard deluxe room. Bit lower for the price they charged. For 80 pounds you can get even better.

My family and I stayed in Green Park on two separate occasions and both times we were extremely happy with our decision of choosing Green Park ! it's location is one of its biggest advantages - right next to the Forum Mall and Metro station. The entire staff (reception, servers, security etc.) were very helpful, patient and diverse representing all parts of India!! I had booked two rooms separately (one for my family and second for my father-in-law) and we checked in separately but still the reception staff made sure she allocated a room next to us for my father-in-law even without us having to even request it - this was super helpful and convenient. Just one of the few examples where my family was thrilled with the customer service. They also have an excellent travel desk - probably the best I have seen so far with excellent drivers and clean vehicles. We were very impressed with their professionalism, service and cleanliness and will always stay in Green Park whenever we visit Chennai !

Check in process was smooth and quick ,Initially I was unhappy with how the bathrooms / towels were but after It was brought to the notice of the manager , staff took extra care and gave me a new room and made sure it was cleaned throughly and newer towels were provided. Manager Raji personally addressed all my concerns .
The best part of staying here was the food. I had the buffet for breakfast (free), lunch and dinner . Great spread, yummy food, very clean and and attentive staff . Lunch buffet was my favourite, the ambiance was great , it was roof top & next to the pool . I’d love to go back just for the food, overall it made my stay worth it . I would definitely visit again.

This property is located in Prime spot for Film personals. The service is poor, food plates left outside the room stays for 12-14 hours before they could clean. Saw rats running around eating the left overs. House keeping is not a regular thing. You may have to remind the front desk couple of times before they clean it. Not worth for the buck. May be under staffed due to COViD situation.

This hotel DOES NOT have a pool. This hotel is terrible charging the same price as other hotels in the city that actually have a pool!! We stayed here for 5 days for a wedding, which was a lovely ceremony but everything else besides was below standard. When I enquired about using another hotel pool for free it was disgusting to be laughed at by reception staff!! I was just told that the swimming pool would finished in a month, there was no sister hotel or . The management did not care. We also had someone go into our room and steal £60!! The only time the management and showed any care or interest was when we were leaving and forced onto trip advisor to write a good review while they stood at the side of us.
A truly terrible hotel.

A strong 4 but needs improvements

Good comfortable stay. Check-in could’ve been slicker. Rooms were clean but some fixtures were long past their use-by date. Food was alright considering that we were at the restaurant close to the finishing time for the buffet dinner and breakfast.

Also used the location in the city and the proximity to the shopping mall next door to good effect.

Overall a strong 4/5; but with a bit of refurb and raising the game in the service, can easily go higher. Didn’t use the pool, gym or spa; so can’t comment on them.

I booked this hotel months back. I emailed them about my special request, no reply from this hotel management. I took the initiative to call them directly to check about my booking and my special request. My call was answered by the hotel receptionist, due to some reason the hotel manager handle my call. Her name is ayushi. I told her as its a special holiday for us, i want to have some special request. She told me she will indicate in the system and personally take note. But to my surprise upon check in, no indication in the system n gave us the room not to our request. Our 1st day stay at that hotel, We were made to change our room at the night after back from my wife birthday celebration. We were extremely tired and angry that the hotel din handle our request well even we as customers made arrangements thru emails and direct call. So ignorant on the hotel's part especially the hotel Manager Ayushi who didnt bother to take my request seriously. Even the emailed was not acknowledge. Its a disgrace for a four star hotel to handle the customers this way. My wife was very disappointed!! Even the toilet wasn't clean n got sewage smell whenever we flush the toilet bowel. Overall stay wasn't good. Lucky we didn't stay in the hotel for our entire one week holiday, We moved to another hotel which was v good!!

I booked two rooms here for a couple nights. The hotel's is located not far from the center of the city. The interiors are tastefully done. The breakfast options are fabulous. The staff seemed indifferent or hardly understanding of guest's point of view. The breakfast staff service is not great -- they chat among themselves, give unhelpful answers, ignore your requests, etc.

If the staff become much more courteous and helpful, like you expect in a 4 star hotel, then I would highly recommend this place.

Green Park Hotel is a very nice property...it was my first stay in India and got my trip off to an excellent start in Chennai....rooms are very comfortable and relatively quiet, buffet breakfast is excellent...this hotel really helped with some transportation requests and it was much appreciated.Located adjacent to an excellent shopping Mall, cinema, food court provides great relief from the manic hustle and bustle of Chennai life.

I love the mall across the way/next to this hotel. It has lots of amenities, including a grocery store!
The staff are always very nice and efficient at the Green Park. I have enjoyed several stays here and it is a good value for the money, especially for accommodations in India. Great breakfast, too! Enjoyed my seeing friends and sight-seeing in Chennai, too!

Poor Room Services and Pathetic Restaurant Staff

Delayed services, food served Cold in rooms. Restaurant staff and new hired management trainees are arrogant and not suited for hospitality services.
