Great beach hotel

Very nice little hotel. Close to at least four different sandy beaches. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with options for vegetarians. Including Cretan specialties. Only downside was that the air conditioning was in the living room only and didn't get to the bedroom. They gave us a fan and it improved things a lot.

Veronica hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and easy to work with. Four of us stayed two nights. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the beach but the area feels a bit isolated and there isn't really a beach scene going on around the hotel. The hotel breakfast is adequate to get you going but nothing too special. It takes about 10 minutes to get into Chania old town with a car.There are a couple of good restaurants within a 3 minute drive where you can overlook the water and watch the sunset.

Very disappointed - warning!

We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel.
The ONLY good thing about the property is located in a very nice location, safe and near the beach with convenient restaurants near by.

Be warned-The property and staff were disappointing. We booked a specific room facing the garden (did not exist), confirmed, and yet received a side room with no view and in terrible condition. The room charge was not adjusted for the less desirable location.

The room condition was terrible. The bathtub/ shower was not clean and had rust spots in the base of the tub. The doors were scrapped for painting but never completed. We were told to purchase our own hangers for our clothing!

Upon departure, the staff tried charging us an additional $40 for the use of a safe. When we showed that this charged should have been included they were obnoxious in their response.

Furthermore- every time you pick up the phone to call the front desk or local number- you are charged for the call.

Be aware that this is NOT a quality property and that the service was not the hospitality we have previously experienced in our many trips to Crete.

Nicely located hotel with some inexpensive Tavernas in the neighbourhood that do set evening meals, small kitchenette in the room we stayed in and a Lidls store just around the corner.

Internet is abysmal. No aircond in bedroom.

One would think that when a hotel lists Air Conditioned, this means that one can expect the rooms to be air conditioned. This is not a given. In this hotel/room, the living room is and the bedroom isn't and was over 30 degrees C. when I arrived. It took four days of blowing cool air from living room to bedroom with a supplied fan. The listing states room is 44 m sq.None of the rooms on this floor are close to that. Mine is 32m sq. (there is an architectural floor plan on the door for the entire floor). Many hotels provide refrigerators or minibars these days. It seems that the addition of only a sink and hotplate is considered enough to then call it a kitchenette. For anyone who really expects to cook anything, these \"kitchenettes\" are a big disappointment .A microwave would be more useful than these 1 and 2 burner hotplates.And, oh yes, the internet speed is glacial, as others have also noted, and unfortunately the problem may be endemic to this part of the city because of outdated telephone lines incapable of DSL.Expect speeds not exceeding 50KB/sec. Hot water was good (again, solar, but with an \"tankless\" heater for supplemental heating). Hotel is a bit overpriced if you are not interested in the sauna,exercise room, etc.

Quite close to the beach with some nice restaurants in the area. Not close to downtown, but the area is quiet which can also be nice for relaxing or small kids. Wi-fi is very poor, making it difficult to get any work done here.

Good value self catering accommodation near beach

comfy bed, spacious flat, strong though simple shower, basic self catering facilities perfectly functional. Very helpful friendly staff. Shop b just down the road with excellent quality fruit - better than other places! overall great value for money. May 2014. A bit noisey as not very well soundproofed. Blinds on windows to block out heat.

excellent holiday!!!

My mum and I stayed in the veronica on the last week of august 2013, right away as soon as we got to the reception 2 people met us with a happy face and introduced there self very nice I thought as we were already happy with the outlook of the hotel. We thought it was very near to anything that took your fancy as 3 beaches were near you plus a good couple of taverners, not your usual anoying street where you are hounded every few seconds, we took in a lot of the sites and staff and people around the area were very friendly. Rooms are your usual tidy but thats all uou want if your spending it most outdoors we had lovely towels made into swans, overall cracking hotel. X

Hôtel très bien, parking gratuit devant, personnel très accueillant et chaleureux. Un grand merci de nous avoir attendu malgré 3h de retard de vol et une arrivée après minuit.
Seul bémol, la dureté des lits et la taille du bac de douche très très petit.

Hinta-laatu Ok. Ei hieno, mutta ajoi asiansa. Aamupalalla lähti nälkä, hulppea se ei ollut. Seinät olivat paperia, parhaat päivänsä nähnyt hotelli. Siisti ja turvallinen, ystävällinen asiakaspalvelu.

Kävelymatkan päässä parikin rantaa ja lukuisia ravintoloita. Bussilla pääsi helposti keskustaan.

Hotel med fin beliggenhet men middels kvaliteter.

Hotellet var helt greit med fin og rolig beliggenhet. Kort vei til de ulike strender. Renhold var middelmådig da det lå hår på bad etter vask og man følte sand på gulv. Sengetøy ble ikke skiftet tilstrekkelig ofte, og hådkler ble bare skiftet hver annen dag. Sengene er for korte dersom man er over 190 cm. Romslige rom. Frokost ikke noe spesielt. Dette fungerte som sportshotel og det ble vist fotball til 24.00 de fleste dager, noe som kan skape mye støy. Personalet hyggelig og service innstilt.

Nice hotel close both to the beach and to the city

We have stayed in this hotel for a week and had a very pleasant stay.
Roooms were clean and functional, we also had a small kitchen thing that resulted really useful when we arrived late from our trips.
Staff was really helpful and polite, they gave us a lot of information regarding all the activities around and helped us a lot.
The position was great for us, a bit outside the city (4km) very peaceful and quite far from traffic, but very close to the bus stop (it takes only 5-10 minute to reach the city depending on the traffic). It is also close the some nice sandy beaches, even if not the most famous ones, it is really pleasant to spend a day there specially with children. The surrounding is really full of shops, small and big supermarkets and restaurant, open until late. In my opinion, it is the perfect solution for a relaxing holiday without renouncing to the facilities of a city close by.

Du får det du betaler for.

Vi et fint opphold med unntak av et innbrudd og tyveri fra et av rommene hvor ukjente personer tok seg inn på natten å tok pass penger og mobiltelefon! Forholdet er anmeldt til lokale myndigheter. Ellers meget hyggelig og hjelpsomt personell på hotellet.

Siamo partiti male Trovando la stanza sporca.... Nei giorni successivi la camera veniva pulita ma comunque non perfettamente.. Bagno piccolo con doccia senza box.. Quindi ogni doccia significava allagare tutto... La televisione non ha mai funzionato... ( dovevano comprarcela appositamente)... E per concludere non c'era nessuno alla nostra partenza quindi le chiavi le hobdovute lasciare sul letto...

Ikke godt hotel til prisen

Den første mat blev vi flyttet til er hotel længere nede af gaden. Dette var ikke fedt da vi da skulle Palle ud og ind to gange og ville miste en halv dag på dette. Det alternative værelse var virkelig ringe. Vores værelse på det rigtige hotel var lidt bedre men sengene var ikke gode da gærdet var rigtig hårdt. Skufferne duede ikke, badet var VIRKELIG småt og ALT blev vådt fordi badeforhænget var alt for kort. Morgenmaden serveres også udenfor hvilket gør at smør, vand mm bliver helt varmt ... Og ligeså gør gæsterne.

Hyggelig hotell med enda hyggeligere betjening

Vi bestilte dette hotellet fordi vi har vært i samme område tidligere og trives godt her siden det er kort vei til det meste og at det er 2 svært barnevennlige strender like ved. Hotellet passet oss veldig bra med bra beliggenhet og med en helt suveren mann som driver hotellets mat og drikke servering. Utrolig god og personlig service som alle i vårt følge på 14 personer likte veldig godt. Anbefales for barnefamilier som ikke nødvendigvis trenger et helt badeland på hotellet, men heller setter pris på god service, rent hotell og kort vei til fine strender. Maten er og god, men som de fleste steder typisk taverna mat.

Lekker bijkomen.

Dit was een app/ hotel. Meer door de grieken zelf bezocht. Voor ons prima. Wij wilden niet tussen blèrende mensen zitten. Een heerlijke baai op loopafstand. Genoten van deze kant van Kreta.Internet was er niet of nauwelijks Jammer maar het moet ook zonder kunnen. We hebben tenslotte vakantie.

Services pas tous au rendez vous...

Sur le site j'ai réservé pour un lit double alors que dans l’hôtel il n'y a que des lits simples, c'est un peu de l'arnaque. J'ai réservé dans cet hôtel car il y avait un sauna et sur place on nous dit qu'il ne marche pas sans aucune excuse. Sinon l'emplacement est bien et c'est propre.

Ho scelto questo hotel perché il più economico vicino a Chania al momento della prenotazione. Avevo prenotato due stanze, una per 2 persone e l'altra per 1 persona: una stanza era disponibile nell'hotel Veronica, l'altra nell'Inea Hotel (a 50 metri da questo). Io ho soggiornato nell'Inea Hotel. Bella la piscina (1.70 metri circa) con chiosco con musica e lettini e ombrelloni gratuiti.

Ho prenotato la stanza la sera prima del mio arrivo, ovvero quando mi hanno informato della cancellazione del mio volo Chania-Roma. Non è stato possibile pagare online per una questione di tempistiche, perciò ho pagato in hotel al momento del check-out, avvenuto subito dopo l'arrivo: dovevo lasciare l'hotel alle 4:00 della notte per recarmi in aeroporto (ad una mezzora dall'hotel), ma di notte non c'è nessuno alla reception.

Siisti ja rauhallinen hotelli!

Hotelli on rauhallisen tien varrella. Lähellä kuitenkin marketteja ja bussipysäkki keskustaan. Bussilla on helppoa ja nopeata matkustaa edullisesti keskustaan. Alueella on paljon pohjoismaisia turisteja ja ravintoloita. Lähellä kaksi hyvää uimarantaa. Hotelli on siisti ja hintaansa nähden hyvä! Siivooja kävi päivittäin paitsi sunnuntaina. Vastaanottotiskillä palvelu ystävällistä ja kun huoneestamme oli palanut lamppu, se tultiin 10 minuutin sisällä korjaamaan. Hotellilla voi ostaa baaritiskiltä ruokaa ja juomaa. Huoneessakin voi syödä omia eväitä. Siellä on iso jääkaappi ja kaksi keittolevyä. Varustelutaso hieman niukka, mutta perusastiat löytyy. Lapsiperheille sopiva hotelli. Pieni lastenallas ja isompi allas.
