Everything was great and perfect... only onw complaint is that the mattress was in such bad shape i woke up in pain eveyday. Back pain and headaches other than that great stay. Great staff!!

The studio apartment was clean and well equipped. There were grocery stores just 2 mins away. Lot of options to eat. Beach was just 5 mins walk away. Very friendly staff and a great place for the price. Definitely would recommend for families.

The hotel is very clean, the area is nice, you have a bus station to Chania 3 mins away from the hotel. Did not try the nearby restaurants but you have a couple of options from what I’ve seen. The only complaint would be that you need mobile data since the Wi-Fi is very slow, but mobile data has good speed so I didn’t mind.

If you're booking through Expedia this will be your room. It's the worst room there; staff service room next door, there's an unbalanced washing machine in a niche and Everytime it goes through the spin cycle you'll hear it. Motor for fridge and AC labor loudly. An alarm goes off between 3:30-4:30 both am & pm. Housekeeping is aggressive and will bang (not knocking) on your door - cleaning in their schedule only. The beach toys are outside the door so high traffic area. WiFi out 2 days, 3 nights loud parties til 3am - rabid desk staff. Nauseous that I wasted 1000€ on this place. Transportation arranged by hotel unreliable. Was left at port to figure it out for myself then unreasonably berated by desk staff. When staff demonstrates irrational behavior, I'm not comfortable with staff entering my room bcuz you never know what passive aggressive things they might do to your stuff. Staff says only one bus, actually 4. None convienant for a busy schedule. Taxis unreliable & overcharge. Hotel is in bad location for tourism. If you're just going to let on beach, maybe okay but if you want to tour...not. much better hotel just next door.

Fantastic stay for us overall at Nirris hotel. Clean comfortable rooms at a very affordable price. Great location within walking distance of great food, beaches and shopping. We organized a shuttle with George and despite it being late in the evening he was able to collect us and provide a wealth of knowledge about the area and activities. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall great value for our stay. Would stay here again if I am ever back in the area.

Friendly and helpful reception, very clean, good location, only a short walk to the beach. Unfortuntely, thin walls, not ideal for light sleepers. But for more space and privacy you have to pay more, for the rate I paid it was adequate. Definitely recommendable.

Everything was great. location to the sea - super! Two bays are very close, two more bays - 5-7 minutes on foot. So, you can always find a calm swimming bay (without wind and waves) even at the end of October. Also nearby, within walking distance (up to 10 minutes), two large supermarkets. Bars and taverns are also nearby. Cleaning every day, change of linen and towels are also available. Dishes (saucepan, frying pan, plates, etc.) are all there. If you need excursions or a transfer to the airport, everyone will be organized at the reception. So - it's an excellent hotel.

Fantastic location! It is 5 min walk from three really nice beaches. Close to two bus stops and two supermarkets. too many restaurants to count. Basic accommodation for North American standards but an unbelievable value for money. Globe-trotter dream! Only two hours drive from Knossos palace and a world class archeological museum.

Fantastic stay!

This place is amazing! The brothers at the front desk had so much useful information to provide about the area and everything. I really felt welcomed. The room was in perfect condition and looked like it was recently renovated. Best of all it was quiet!

The location was perfect near the beaches, bus, awesome park for running and chilling and a lot of shops and restaurants. They sent an email right after I booked with super useful information on how to cheaply use public transport to get to the hotel from the airport or set up transfers as well.

I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Just back from a 9 night stay at Niriis Hotel in Apostoloi, and I am pleased to say I, and my daughter, had a fabulous time there. The room was exactly as the photos depicted and the service from all staff members was top class. They gave us valuable info on where to go and what to do in the area and arranged our trip to the Samaria Gorge - just one of the highlights of our visit! The hotel is 2 minutes away from 3 beaches and there are several tavernas and mini markets close by. There is also a regular bus into Chania which is only 10/15 minutes away. I would definitely recommend Niriis Hotel for its location, standard of accommodation and service provided. Thank you for a great stay George. This was our first visit to Crete, but I know it won’t be our last !

Lovely, comfy rooms with everything you need

We stayed for 4 nights in early July. The location is great, in amongst low rise apartments and tavernas, leafy green and quiet, away from busier main road near the beaches. Balcony with pleasant view and well equipped kitchenette/dining area plus TV showing World Cup! Staff very helpful and informative. Did our laundry for €5 as we’re travelling for a while. Overall fantastic value for money.

Nice place for solo travelers

I stayed in the shared room with other super friendly travelers. The staff was super nice and helpful always willing to give you the best advices. The room wasn't excellent but it was a good relation price/quality. I would definetely recommend this place

I stayed in the dormatory for nearly three weeks, clean well equiped for cooking simple meals pleasant bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. Seven bedded room, I only shared with one other person for a few nights imagine might be a little clostrophbic when full but had it to myself for most of stay. Niriis is in a very good location near lovely beaches some backed with pine woods Great for walking including into Hania at only 4km away.
Manager George is a mine of information about local events walks ect. All in all a very good holiday

A convenient spot within walking distance of old Chania along the coast and surrounded by beaches and access to local pools. Booked a garden view and enjoyed the through breeze of front and rear doors. Lovely place and they looked after my bike well.

niirs was a great value for our trip to chania. we loved the location (near 3 great beaches) and the little kitchen was perfect. Our one qualm was the beds were kind of hard.. but hey, when you're in paradise it doesn't matter!

Good experience for what we paid for

Nice spacious place! Kitchenette was good too. Noisy at night and we had to pay for air conditioning. 1 kilowatt is 1 euro. Location is decent, about a 15 minute bus ride (1.50 per person each way) to Chania. But also a 3 minute walk to a really nice beach with hiking paths to other beaches, lots of cool coves and cliffs and super warm water even in the end I September. Supermarket about 15 minute walk away. The stay was what you would expect for the price and we were happy!

Cheap and cheerful

Hotel staff were great, on arrival offered very comprehensive information on the city & attractions. There was an air conditioner in the room but no control to use it. Not all Power points in the room worked had to plug the fridge into another socket for it to work. Guests partied on verandahs well after midnight which management should have dealt with as it was inconsiderate to other guests and adjoining properties. Room was full of drain flys.

All u need

The taxi dropped us at the Nireas instead of the Niriis hotel at 1:30 in the morning . No matter, George responded to our panicked call of 'where are we' with cool aplomb considering he was probably fast asleep and offered to pick us up for 5 euros, which considering the hour was frankly just a gesture figure. Once at the hotel he still booked us in properly and gave us information on excursions, beaches and restaurants, so we were fully briefed for the next day. The room itself was large and immaculate with a big balcony and excellent wifi. The only drawback for me was that if u are 6 foot plus, the beds are too short. Overall, that doesn't really alter my 5 star rating though. Also, take note the area is very quiet, but within a 100m or so of everything u could need in terms of shops, restaurants and of course, nice beaches. Tip - the Talos (remember the 'Man of Bronze' in Jason and The Argonauts) restaurant immediately next door is excellent - try the walnut cake - unbelievable (and home made). All in all, the Niriis does everything u want from a good hotel, but at Hostel prices and has superb service. A real cracker all round.

Nice hotel, Great value

We stayed at Niriis for three nights in April 2014, using it as a base for our day trips in Crete. It's a clean, practical, comfortable hotel in a nice neighborhood. The room even has a fridge, stove top and cooking ware. The staff was very helpful in providing information and tips for hiking in the area. The price was unbeatable. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Could be a great place to stay

Niriis has a perfect location; a short walk to the beach, restaurants, markets, and even a nice park. The hotel is nice and clean. However, nobody was there when we arrived. The sign said 'Back at 5:30', but nobody showed up at 5:30. Thankfully, the owner of the market on the corner was able to help us out. When Peter, the hotel owner, finally showed up, he was very disorganized. Couldn't find the key for our room, couldn't get the credit card machine to work, we couldn't reach him in the morning to check out. It was still in low season. However, if you are going to say you are open and take bookings, then you need to provide customer service, otherwise just don't open until you are ready. It's too bad, because this could be a great place to stay. But there are lots of other hotels in the neighbourhood.

Great hostel with excellent host

My sister and I booked a twin room here for 2 days and ended up extending it to 4 days. Great hostel - clean but very inexpensive. Close to the 5 little beach bays especially iguana beach which was our favourite. Regular bus to Chania every half hour. George was extremely helpful (does the man ever sleep?) and was always around to give us advice on market days, the best way to travel to Samaria Gorge (well worth doing), Ellafonisi and Balos and the best boat trips to take out from Chania... he also gave great advice on restaurants in town and the cheapest places to enjoy a drink with a view without paying tourist prices.... thanks George you really know how to run a hostel...

Cheap, Clean & Great location

We spent two weeks at the Niriis Hotel in Agi Apostoli and had a fantastic time. The hotel is family run and the owners went out of their way to give us advice on what to do and where to go. Their advice was solely to make sure we had a great time and they always gave honest opinions on how to do trips the cheapest way! The rooms were immaculate, cleaned everyday and by far the most luxurious Greek accommodation we have ever stayed in. The hotel is a few minutes walk to different beachs, well connected by buses to get to Hania, the mountains or the west coast, and surrounded by good restaurants and supermarkets. There is so much to do in Western Crete that we could easily come back and do something new everyday for another month! Overall we were very impressed.

George is great. We arrived so late at 1130pm and well past the check in time, but we called him and he was happy to check us in. He was friendly and helpful. We only had a short stay at Niriis but it was great. Location is ok, too far to walk into hania but easy to access if you have a car or to take a bus. Room was big and clean and SO cheap. Only drawback was that you have to pay extra to use kitchen (extra charge for A/C is understandable for a small hotel and easy to take into account considering how cheap the room is)

Rummets uteplats var en trappa ner, mittemot en hög vägg. Vi satt aldrig där. Mörkt och trist. Bra med bild på det så vi hade vetat om det vid bokning. Bra rum, fin dusch. Lite hårda sängar. Kylskåpet lät väldigt högt, som om nån borrade i rummet bredvid. Lyckades stänga av det sista natten. Hemskt störande på natten.

God værdi for pengene

Der er intet eksotisk eller eksklusivt over Niriis, men det er helt perfekt til prisen. Det ligger centralt, de er utroligt søde, imødekommende og hjælpsomme og rengøring er helt i top.
Lidt uoverensstemmelser mellem infomail om indtjekning og faktisk indtjekning, men ikke noget, der ikke blev fikset.

Wir waren zu zweit im August 2022 für zwei Wochen hier.

Positiv:
super Lage. Strand, etliche Restaurants, Bushaltestelle, Supermärkte in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar
Chania Innenstadt ist mit dem Bus in 15 Minuten erreichbar
sehr freundliche Begrüßung und super Tipps für Kreta und Chania an der Rezeption (George)
das Zimmer war bei der Ankunft sehr sauber und wurde jeden Tag gereinigt
immer genug frische Handtücher
kostenlose Luftmatratzen, Sonnenschirme etc. für den Strand
gut funktionierende Klimaanlage

Negativ:
- WLAN funktionierte oft nicht und wenn nur sehr langsam
- Matratzen für unseren Geschmack zu hart
- manche Zimmer haben als Sitzmöglichkeit außen nur den Platz im Flur zu den anderen Zimmer. Sehr eng. Ich würde mich beim nächsten Mal im Vorfeld darüber informieren, wo das Zimmer liegt.

Die Kommunikation war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Vor Ort sehr guter Service und gute Beratung mit hilfreichen Tipps zu Ausflügen und Unternehmungen während unseres Aufenthaltes. Die Appartements haben eine gute Grundausstattung um Kleinigkeiten selbst zu kochen. Die Lage ist hervorragend: mehrere sehr schöne Strände und Sport-Möglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.

mainio sijainti. 6hlö dormissa hyvä meininki (alimmainen kerros) kerrossängyt vähän natisi mutta hyvät unet silti.
Sijainti aivan loistava, 3 biitsiä vieressä. bussi no 21 tulee aivan hotellin viereen keskustasta (kysy iguana beach kuskilta).
henkilökunta auttaa mielellään jos on jotain kysyttävää.
viikon reppureissu takana 2017 elokuussa. suosittelen tätä hotellia.

Fint sted og fin service. Dog spurgte de hver dag om tidspunktet for udchecking og prøvede hver dag at lokke os med til Elafonsi, selvom vi havde sagt, at vi slet ikke var interesseret. Derudover var det et fantastisk hotel!
