The location is excellent! (parking was a five minute walk away). The breakfast and dinner were great, and much appreciated, as food was quite expensive in this town. The staff were friendly and helpful. (it was unusually hot weather when we were there, and they gave us a fan for the room)

A small and charming hotel. Parking is a bit of an issue as it's offsite. Room was small but clean. Lousy view of a rockface. But comfortable. Choose it as it's on way to Torp Airport. Solid. Pretty. But lacks a wow factor

Grimstad Gem

This is the second time in three years that i have stayed in this property . Not only is it clean and filled with friendly service, the area is charming. I highly recommend it. Special thanks to Gunnar, the man at the front desk who was particularly kind and helpful.

One night stay for business - arrived late and left early although the TV/Wifi facilities were excellent. Breakfast menu looked pretty good even though I did not have the opportunity to sample the food itself.
Parking was somewhat expensive but to be expected given the lack of available spaces

Charming town, charming hotel

Not only was the hotel clean and well cared for, it is in a perfect location in Grimstad. A short walk from the marina area , it is in the heart of the little shopping area which is lovely. The staff was more than friendly. My trip to Norway took me to 8 different hotels. This one was by far, the best. The morning breakfast was great and the staff made it even better as they were helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel.

Impressed, please and would stay there again!

A bit hard to find the hotel location in the crowded center of Grimstad (narrow streets, small sidewalks, and tight corners), but after we did, the location was great with views of the harbor and within walking distance of all the sights and shopping. The hotel is located just a short walk up the hill to a historic church where there is an even better panoramic view.

The room was the best we had in two weeks of traveling around Norway. Comfortable, clean and modern. Our room had skylights for view and they opened for a nice sea breeze. Breakfast was included; fresh and varied selections with something for any taste.

The hotel was clean and well maintained from what we could gather during our short visit.

Finding parking for our rental car in the downtown was the only drawback. You could pay and park in a few spaces under the hotel or find a space outside the front door among many more spaces, which were free for overnight parking from about 6 PM until 9 AM. Parking was limited to 1 hour (also free) during the day. We had no problem finding a space on the evening we arrived (end of May before the real tourisdt season) but it might not be so easy if the shops are open late during a busy time.

We did not place many demands on the hotel in our short stay, but would certainly stay there again. All four of us (two American couples) loved it.

Vi overnatta fra lørdag til søndag i oktober. Vinduene var oppe og det var mye bråk på natta. Ellers superior -rommet var bra. Fint stort bad, og behagelig seng. Vi var fornøyde med både frokost og middag som var inkludert i prisen. Parkeringen kommer i tillegg.

Hôtel calme et confortable. Notre chambre ne donnait pas sur l’extérieur mais nous n’y sommes resté que pour dormir. Garer sa voiture peut être un souci. Emplacement parfait.

Vi var 3 personer på et familierom. Det bør da bli vasket minst 2.hverdag.Det ble ikkje tømt søppel eller vasket på badet ila vårt 3 nettersopphold.. Vi måtte spørre etter nye handkleder.

Rolig og komfortabelt

Dette var et \"stop'n sleep\"-opphold, og til det fungerte det perfekt. Rakk akkurat kveldsmaten, som var en god blanding av varmmat, salat og brød. Rolig hotell, stille strøk, utsikt over havna og komfortabel seng. God, standard hotellfrokost, verken mer eller mindre.

Vel verdt å dra til Grimstad

Overraskende flott hotell. Det ser jo ikke særlig stort ut på promosjonsbildene - men det var heldigvis ikke representativt. Fikk rom på toppen av den nye bygningen med utsikt over det meste av Grimstad. Rommet var ikke stort - men stort nok for oss 2 - gitt den utsikten vi hadde over byen og stedet. Gikk en lang kveldstur langs anbefalt rute - vel verdt. Kjempegod frokost, vennlig og behjelpsom betjening. Grimstad by var jo også en opplevelse verdt å ta med seg. Anbefales!

Stort sett alltid fornøyd

Overnattet på hotellet ca 15 ganger over like mange år. Stort sett alltid vært fornøyd. Frokosten er super! Sengene er gode! Hyggelig betjening!
Siste opphold litt skuffet over rommet. Luktet innestengt, tydelig tidligere røykt i rommet. Vegg til vegg-teppe, noe slitt på badet, rommet trenger generelt en renovering. Vi hadde og utsikt rett i fjellveggen denne gangen, det er alltid litt «nedtur»- men hotellets beliggenhet gjør jo at det er en del rom som vil måtte ha den utsikten.
Men uansett, vi kommer tilbake neste år. Grimstad er nydelig og hotellet er bra !
