A fabulous property with fantastic host's. The check in process was very easy and the house was clean, airy and very well presented - the milk in the fridge was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The setting is gorgeous and we had residential koalas outside our front window and kangaroos from the kitchen window. The beach is within walking distance and it is a fabulous beach. Kingscote is a short drive and we travelled all over the island on good sealed roads. The property has a well stocked kitchen, with every utensil you may need. The BBQ was a good addition. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and the hosts went all out to make you feel welcome and are very knowledgeable about the island.

A lovely and quiet place to stay with fantastic views of the sea. Well equipped with everything you need to be self sufficient.
The best thing was the two mother koalas and their joeys in the trees right by the house!

This property has a number of different cabins, cottages and houses. It's not always clear from the photos which property you're looking at. I'd recommend to the owners to consider better labelling of the photos so that prospective clients can see what they're booking. And if you're a potential client, take care with the photos. You might not be looking at the correct photos for the accommodation you're booking.
We stayed in a cabin. This is a transportable site shed, fitted out with a kitchenette and with a double bed and two single beds. It was clean and comfortable with basic kitchen fittings, pots and implements. The view of Emu Bay was lovely.
The owner is very good with communication and gives lots of information.
Emu Bay is further out than other locations from the main tourist attractions, so a bit more driving is required, especially to the south- west.
Overall, we enjoyed our little cabin a lot and enjoyed Kangaroo Island immensely.

Amazing stay!
Amani house was a wonderful place to come home to at the end of our long days exploring KI.
The house is very well equipped with everything we needed to make our own meals. Our whole crew loved the walking labyrinth and yard games as well.
Gardens were beautiful!!
To top it off, the sunrises were stunning!

A Tranquil Oasis at Emu Bay Holiday Homes

I can confidently say that this was one of the most delightful accommodations I've experienced in my travels to 62 countries. From the moment I arrived, the owner's warm welcome set the tone for an exceptional stay. The personal touch of being shown to my small, impeccably clean apartment immediately made me feel at home. The attention to detail was evident throughout, with everything thoughtfully organized for the utmost comfort.
What truly stood out were the considerate touches, such as the informative notes strategically placed around the apartment. One noteworthy suggestion was a creative way to conserve water by using buckets to collect cold water while waiting for it to heat up. The notes gently encouraged guests to water the plants outside with this collected water, reflecting a commitment to sustainability without imposing demands. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view, It's the kind of scenery that captivates your senses and beckons you to stay for days on end. While the price may be on the higher side, I found every penny well spent considering the exceptional quality of the stay.

My Wife and I travel quite a lot. This place is special. The units are well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner Rene was welcoming and informative of the local area.The local wildlfe including the Koalas and birds were fascinating to watch. I highly recommend staying here and hope I can visit again

Our cottage was small but extremely well-equipped. The host was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and where to eat - including sending links to local places. Even letting us know where the closest koalas were (very close!) The location was lovely. Very peaceful, with distant views over the water. The closest town is 15 minutes drive, but it's easy to organise around that. I would stay here again.

The rooms are big, well equipped, comfortable and in a great garden setting with amazing views. It is a great base to explore KI. As it's a big island with lots to see and do, no one location is perfect but Emu Bay is easy enough to get everywhere and the room is great to come back to at the end of the day. The koalas and birds on the property were a treat. Would have given a 5 rating if there was a laundry (which we understand was being installed)

We had a great time at EBHH, property had quite an open area, easy to find, with an amazing EMU bay view. It was nice to see Kangaroos and Kuala near our cabin. Cabin was clean, enough space for two, with almost everything available just like home, there’s quite a thought put into making this place feels like home. Christine ensured that we have all the information required for our stay on the Island, always got a prompt response for any query. We will love to stay again.

The property had everything one need to have to have a amazing stay. ***** The view from our Bayview home was spectacular. I still can’t believe waking up every morning to see that amazing view. I want to rate the place 10/10 it was total bargain. One of the cheapest stays on the island, still can’t believe what we paid for what we got.

The owner Rene was lovely too, she came over the day after we got there to ensure. We had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.
I can’t wait to come back here on our next trip to KI.

これで洗濯機があれば完璧！なのですが、カンガルー島の水事情を考えれば仕方ないのかなと思います。（注意喚起のお知らせが部屋内にありました）

オーナーの方からも快適に過ごせているかどうかの気遣いの連絡もいただきました。（私からの返信が届かなかったことに気づいていたのですが、そのまま何も連絡せず、申し訳なかったです。）

部屋からも海の景色を見渡すことができ、他の棟からの視線も気にならないように配置されていて、敷地内に住むコアラを見に行ったり、庭先で野生のカンガルーを見たり、島での滞在を満喫できました。

Emu Bay liegt ruhig und abgelegen. Das Cottage war gemütlich und sauber. Strand in der Nähe. Koalas und Kängurus im Garten waren toll. Wir haben bereits im Vorfeld viele Infos von Zanne erhalten, danke dafür. Essen haben wir bei Michelle von Bites at the Bay bestellt, so mussten wir abends nicht mehr nach Kingscote.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The hosts are very nice, helpful from the booking to the Check-out, everything indicated exactly and you feel the appreciation for the guests with every writing and also inside the house, very comfortable and arranged with love.
The shalom house is situated very calm, a little bit aside and with a beautiful view. Inside is everything you need and outside a nice place to sit. The surrounding garden ist amazing and we have seen lots of birds, koalas and kangaroos. The Labyrinth is mystic and wonderful. Thanks Zanne and Dirk for everything, you made our stay in Emu bay KI very special.
