The breakfast was really good. The room had no microwave and the ac vent was dusty which caused allergies for my friends and I. The staff were really kind and helpful, housekeeping staff was amazing! The pool needs to be cleaned more regularly. The gym was ok, better ventilation would make it better. Overall a good experience! should these improvements be implemented, I'd love to return and recommend to friends.

This hotel is absolutely worth the stay. It has access to everything you need, or within walking distance. Beautiful, clean and well managed. The hot breakfast is incredible, with many options. Also restaurants for lunch or dinners. Which is nice when you don't know the area well. The staff was extremely kind and bilingual.
Unfortunately, there is no airport shuttle. However, they were able to get us a taxi quite quickly that was clean and professional.

Breakfast was great every morning, and the staff was very helpful—especially when we had early excursions, providing breakfast boxes for convenience. Unfortunately, the pool staff was often rude and seemed irritated, particularly regarding towels. The room’s air conditioning wasn’t very effective, which made it uncomfortable at times. The door leading to the pool area was also broken, making it difficult to go in and out while keeping the room cool. The bathroom has a glass door, which offers little privacy if you’re sharing the room. On a positive note, housekeeping did a good job overall, although they occasionally came in while we were still asleep or napping.

The pool was the best, went with 7 kids and they enjoyed. For housekeeping there wasn't any hand towels or wash rags only bath towel and floor mat which we got change daily. Also got daily water, a huge + for that. Variety of buffet with different restaurant close by. Had issue with the door and key card but the staff was pompt in fixing it. This is a great place for family with kids, will recommend it

I stayed at this hotel almost 20 years ago when it was under a different management. It definitely needed refurbishing and a better breakfast buffet. I took a chance and booked a poolside cabana this year, and I loved it. Everything about the room, the buffet, the staff, the facilities was excellent. I will definitely return to El Hotel Panama. It also has a very diverse clientele. That’s not how I remember it.

hotel was very welcoming, I've stayed at this hotel twice without any issues, the third time my check in was at 3-3:30pm but when i arrived at 4pm my rooms still wasn't ready. this was really disappointing. other wise my stay was great.

I called for room service at 11pm as the restaurant was closed. When the staff member answered I asked if she speaks English she hung up on me. I thought this had to be a mistake I kept calling and no one answered. I repeated several times before retiring hungry in bed. I made a complaint at front desk this morning

My stay here was generally positive. The staff were generally very good and attentive except for the pool bartender who was not very friendly.

This is an older hotel. The grounds are in pretty good shape, and the pool was very nice. Free buffet breakfast was excellent. The rooms are spacious but need to be refurbished and the furniture is outdated and needs to be replaced. The Expedia pictures do not reflect the true conditions of the rooms. However for the price paid one cannot complain too much.

Not sure I will stay here next time. I’ll pay a little extra to insure my room is properly furnished.

The room was dirty and they had roaches. The staff was friendly but they weren’t able to resolve much or offer compensation. The food was only decent once out of a 10 day stay. After seeing roaches we ate elsewhere. Horrible experience. Will upload pictures under Google review. I would suggest the owners renovate all the rooms and give it a good cleaning. It’s located in a great location. The pictures on Expedia are not for all rooms. The cabana rooms were smaller and unkempt.

Unbelievable, beyond neglected. Room dirty, air condition not working, vents rusted, dirty and old, shower dirty old furniture with stains. I couldn’t believe this was an actual guest room more like a deposit with 2 beds and small refrigerator. When brought up to the attention to move to another room and I specifically said please do not give this rooms to other guest. I am embarrassed to say this was once Hotel Panama. Not anymore. Believe me some Motels are better. Don’t waste your money here.

The customer service and the restaurant was great! But, when it comes to the rooms it is not pleasant. The rooms need a urgent upgrade, repaint, and deep clean. As soon as you enter the rooms (booked two rooms) both had a bad smell, both baths had mold and taking a shower wasnt something you were enjoying. The windows are extremely dirty. Althought, the hotel is nice I do recommend an extreme attention to the rooms and baths.

We were placed on the 1st floor next to the conference room and there was an event which was loud. All we could hear was loud music. I asked to move and the guy at front desk and he said there were no available rooms. We arrived after 6pm and we were asking for towels until after 9pm. We were then told there were no clean towels. We had to whatever we had to dry. This was all one night
By the morning of the 2nd day we had maggots coming up the bathroom drain. However the young lady at front desk provided excellent service and changed the room immediately. The new room didnt have towels but she went to house keeping and brought them up. She went above and beyond. The room had mildew on the shower curtain and the ac vents needed cleaning. Other than that breakfast was good.

I was there with my mom for my birthday. The check in process was very slow, my room wasn’t ready and there were a few minor details with the aesthetics like no hot water at times and some repairs going on, but other than that my stay was nice. Very comfortable room and bed, courteous staff. Great driver to the airport (Luis)! I’m glad my room was far from the pool! The time I was there there was a huge pool party. Also the food in the main dining room was delicious! Thanks for a great stay!

Overall we had a good experience at Hotel El Panama. The check-in staff was nice although we couldn't check in early. The pool was great, large and enough room to separate (sort of) from the kids area. The swim up bar had all the stools missing which was a bummer and a quick way to lose business cause we would have camped out over there! The room was pretty good. The bathroom and shower were wild. See through and not real sound barrier. You're one with your roommate! Hope you're not shy! The breakfast was decent as well. We did have pizza by the pool and it was fabulous! With all the options in Panama City, we'll try a new place next time.

The facilities and the hotel are fairly old and poorly maintained. The property was clean and Overall if they updated some of the stuff it would be a great hotel/stay. The breakfast was great but some of the people preparing the eggs were fairly inexperienced which resulted in long queues.

Customer service was slow it took them 3 days to fix an issue in our room (stayed for 7 nights)

The pool was really good but there is a tape filter they use for the water I am not sure why but that needs to be changed

Our stay was so very comfortable. The room was very clean and very roomy. We had a little issue with the first room that was assigned but the receptionist at the desk Laura Castillo immediately sorted us out with a much better room. The ambiance and pool area was lovely. Breakfast was exceptional. Local dishes available to choose from. There is also storage for your luggage after check out. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Yes the rooms were neglected, keys doors wouldn’t open and I went many times to the front desk, they did reset it and still didn’t work, Safety box didn’t work either, the phone number was broken. So I couldn’t called room service. Anytime I needed it something in the room I had to go at the front desk. Manager had a private party at the pool with his Gay Friends and a DJ so other kids couldn’t use that part of the pool anymore and DJ was so loud with loud music til 1am even thought pool was open til 8PM. It was Saturday. Buffet for lunch is 54$ per person and they were no one to ask for water, too many waiters and they were at the pool not at the restaurant. Check ins was so long and it was a Huge line.

Hours late and exhausted but the girl at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.
In about 10 minutes walk I was in a great area with cool restaurants
