Clean, friendly and well-located.
Excellent, spacious room which was very clean as was the en suite bathroom. There was a good breakfast menu and the cooking was very good. The location just off the central market place is excellent and it is a good spot for exploring the Borders. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful.

Nice room with lots of character, a well prepared breakfast with ample choice you only had to ask Robin and he would try to cater for any taste, The location was ideal only a short walk to the centre, and many places to visit in the surrounding area. We had a wonderful stay at the Old Priory. The room is so spacious and luxurious. Robin is such a kind, knowledgeable host. He so looked after us. I loved a delicious cooked breakfast each morning.

We stayed one night in this quaint b & b the host was polite friendly and informative and served a lovely made to order breakfast. It is located in the centre of Kelso so its convenient for shops local pubs and cafes as well as Floors Castle but no noise issues in the evening. Onsite parking to the rear of the property was also a bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

A gem of a B&B
This lovely old building offer good parking and a great position to enjoy all that Kelso and the surrounding area has to offer. Traditionally decorated in keeping with its age the property has seating areas in the garden and the conservatory for relaxing outside of the bedroom. We stayed in the Turret Room, which is curb side but not noisy with shutters effective in keeping out the light to aid a good night’s sleep. The room was clean and comfortable with a generous hospitality tray and a useful information pack. The breakfast was outstanding with a good range of hot options, alongside fresh bread, an array of homemade jams and marmalades, fruit and cereal. As a vegan I was well catered for.

Amazing welcome from Robin to his home / B&B. Family room was spacious with king bed in one room and two single in the other. Amenities worked well and was very comfortable. Robin’s local knowledge was invaluable. Would definitely recommend.

He made us feel very unwelcome. I would not recommend staying there unless you can interact with his wife instead.

This was a lovely place to stay, unfortunately we did not have time to appreciate the premises as we were on a whistle-stop business trip. The proprietor was very pleasant and even provided a picnic breakfast for one of our party who had to rush away before breakfast. A gesture which was very much appreciated.

Location was spot on - very central. The room overlooked the back garden and courtyard so it was very quiet - no noise from outside.

We stayed in The Library room, which was previously used as a guest sitting room. Probably the largest B&B accommodation we’ve ever had. More floor space than a modern 1-bed apartment! Lovely big comfortable bed, modern spacious en-suite, and lots of traditional/quirky furnishings. Full Scottish breakfast was superb.

A slightly wobbly start caused by Hotels .com providing an incorrect picture and description of the room we had booked .However, Robin our host, was able to rescue the situation, quickly turning around a recently occupied room which suited our needs exactly . A most relaxing and enjoyable two nights spent at the Old Priory in a very comfortable ensuite room. Breakfast provided by Robin who is the most congenial host you will ever meet also makes his own jams/jellies from the fruits in his garden - delicious. Highly recommend a stay at the Old Priory.

The Old Priory is a unique property full of character. It's ideally placed for Kelso, the borders and the coast is within easy reach. We stayed in \"the study\", this was a comfortable room, perfect for the two of us with a well equipped tea tray. Robin is a friendly and knowledgeable host who cooks a very good breakfast. Spent three nights here and overall a very relaxing stay. Our room face the cobbled street outside and was a little noisy when the local agricultural merchant drove past at 6.30. Sensitive sleepers be warned. Some rooms face to rear so ask if concerned. Room was pleasant with comfortable bed but bathroom was built in and made room smaller. Other rooms have bigger en suites. Noise from bathroom fan in adjacent room was noticeable. Breakfasts were excellent and Robin the owner was a charming host.and full of local knowledge. Check out Lemon & Thyme restaurant in Kelso. Superb but book ahead.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the old priory, Simon was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. This room was comfortable and clean but did need a little tlc, but nothing that detracted from its charm.

Perfect Anniversary Stay.
We stayed a few days for our wedding anniversary and everything couldn't have been more perfect. The room was lovely, breakfast was superb every morning. Robin was incredibly welcoming and friendly and had secretly arranged with our children a surprise of champagne, flowers to be waiting in our room too. The location was right in the heart of Kelso and the restaurants we went to were excellent. In summary, top marks.
