Really nice hotel, and the kindest staff!

We had such a nice stay! We tried another hotel in Hanoi, and Sunline was so much better, for almost the same price.
The breakfast buffet was fine. Not the biggest, but makes sense since the hotel is not that big. Therefore I liked that you could order some ekstra breakfast dishes, included in the price.
Loved the rooftop bar! Great drinks and really nice view of Hanoi, especially at night.

I stayed in Sunline Hotel while I visited Hanoi for 4 nights and 5 days. Hotel staff were so nice and professional. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable. The room was nice and clean. I loved the hard wood floor since I am allergic to dust. The room was so quiet and I was able to get good sleep during my stay. Sunline Hotel is located close to everything such as night market, Dong Xuan Market, Long Bien Market, and many local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend Sunline Hotel to anyone planning to visit Hanoi. Thank you, Sunline Hotel Staff. You all made my trip to Hanoi very special.

We had a pleasant stay. Like most hotels in the Old Quarter, the rooms are small and the area is crowded. The breakfast was good, but the selections are limited. The hotel area is blocked off each night during the weekend, making checking out and getting our luggages to the taxi rough because we had to walk a block to the taxi. Their staff help wheeled our luggages to the taxi. We are so thankful for that extra care. On the plus side is the nearness to the Sword Lake. It's just 2 blocks away.

The staff the staff the staff. I literally felt like I was walking into a 5 Star hotel with the way I was treated.

As soon as I stepped out of the taxi a member from the staff whisked my bags away to my room. Check in was fantastically easy and the person I would have to say I interacted with the most was Long. This guy was a Rockstar for service. Constantly checking in to make sure everything was ok. Professional, friendly, great english speaker and a wonderful person to have working at the hotel.

I will always book this hotel every time I am in Hanoi.

Air con was good. Wifi was decent durring the day but will throttle down a bit late at night just fyi for remote workers.

The hotel is clean and in the great location. My flight delayed due to heavy snowstorm in Vancouver so I missed 2 flights. The hotel helps me to reschedule the Halong Bay tour and cancel the other tour without fees. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Special Mr. Long who greets the guests in dining room every morning and do his best to make the guests feel welcome.

Beautiful hotel right in the center of good cafes, restaurants and bars, easy 3-minute walk to the lake view. In the midst of The old city center, traffic is chaos but this hotel is on a quiet corner, really well located. Room and bathroom were spotless and high quality.

Hotel was very clean with good amenities, and is in a great location in the Old Quarter. Large variety of restaurants and shops nearby as well as Hoan Kiem Lake which had many weekend events going on. Despite the bustling location, rooms were quiet and peaceful though. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. They helped us to communicate with locals, organize ride services, and gave recommendations for navigation and food. The customer service manager at the Paon location even sprinted after our van to make sure we got the correct ride. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone staying for a short or even longer period of time, and would return to it if we are in Hanoi again.

The hotel is well located and there are heaps of dining/shopping options at a walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast spread was simple yet nice.

The first room we were allocated had an odd smell due to new floorboards. The staff quickly acknowledged that and allocated another room to us. The staff is friendly and helpful!

We opted for airport pick up for VND 450,000, but on the way back found a car on Grab for VND 300,000. Would definitely stay here the next time we are in Hanoi.

Great location. Located inside the Old Quarters but on a quieter lane where there are restaurants, hotels but not the night markets or street food. So it is quieter and I like it. The staff here are very friendly although they speak little English. They are polite and help as much as they can.

Our exe. twin room is on the 6th floor and we like the comfortable bed and pillows. The room is clean and nice. It is 5 mins walking distance to St. Joseph's Cathedral and Hoan Kiem Lake. It is possible to walk from here to the Train Street (13 mins), Dong Xuan wholesale market (15 mins), Hanoi Opera House too. But it's easy to get distracted by all the shops along the way.

Hotel is in a great location near to markets and tour departure areas.
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Stayed in the honeymoon suite, but that name doesn't have much bearing on the room itself. Don't be fooled by the photos, made to look big but in reality quite small. No shower cubicle but shower attachment was adequate. A strange smell lingered but that was cleared by opening the windows/ doors. There is no balcony to walk out onto, but patio type doors open up so can lean out to take in the atmosphere below.
Some very nice family restaurants along the road catering for all tastes.

Great location. Even on the 2nd level, the noise of the traffic did not affect my rest. Any from reception remembered I was very sick when I checked in and she asked about how I felt when I checked out two days later. Very thoughtful of her and very much appreciated.

While I was taking some rest around 2pm, there was some construction going on somewhere in the building. A terrible noise was continuing for several hours every day during my stay, but I didn't have any notification from hotel staff. I think they had to notify me about the construction when checking in.

Airport pick up, and straight to the hotel. Quick check in, and a room upgrade (Bonus). The foyer was getting a new lick of paint, but it wasn't an issue. The rooms are comfortable, airy and clean. Nice big bed. The breakfast was fine and the restaurant staff very nice. Also thank you to Ms Moon and the reception staff for arranging transport for me in Saigon. Very helpful.

great hotel except the water.

The location was great, the breakfast was good, and the hotel room was nice. The only complaint I had was that to get hot water you had to run the sink and tub for 20 minutes then it would get hot and by hot I mean 3rd degree burn hot. Also I went in November and it was super cold in Hanoi. Unfortunately there was not a heater in the room.

I definitely recommend this hotel! The proximity to downtown, accommodating staff, amazing breakfast buffet, and clean/comfortable rooms are some of the hotel's highlights. The staff arranged a day trip to Halong Bay for us (4 people) that included a hotel pickup. Anything we needed or had questions about, the staff was there to assist us. Everywhere we wanted to see was within walking distance. The breakfast was fantastic, consisting of a variety of hot and cold options, made-to-order eggs (the omelette was out of this world), and delicious fresh fruits. Wifi in the room was fast and the bed was extremely comfortable. Nice water pressure in the shower, too. Overall great place to stay in Hanoi!!!!

Great Tucked Away Hotel

I have stayed three times at this hotel and will definitely stay there again. The hotel is clean, fresh, and very well run. The rooms are excellent quality with the added bonus of double glazed full length windows (in those with a balcony at least). This along with it being on a quiet street in the old quarter with Hoan Kiem Lake just a short walk away makes it a terrific place to stay if you want to be in the thick of things but able to sleep and take a break from the busyness of Hanoi. The hotel is a has a quality, almost grand look about it from outside. Inside, the marble floors etc can be a bit echoey and the entrance is clean, inviting, but a bit stark. A roof top bar or something where it was inviting to hang out in a common space would be a great addition. Breakfast is pretty good. The staff are very friendly and professional and make a point of remembering me each time.

Very enjoyable boutique hotel in the Old Quarter

Very enjoyable boutique hotel with great staff. Location is right in the middle of the old quarter with all of the great eating spots, bars, shopping and all the old quarter entails. Close to the fabulous lake. Found the room very comfortable - bed was very comfortable - bathroom clean and very workable. Wifi was excellent, fast, unlimited. All in all a very pleasant experience - I will be returning there.

It was a bit awkward reaching the hotel because of road closure. The porter quickly walked out a few streets to greet us and walked us to their hotel.
On checking in then walking through Corridor to our bedroom, there was a strong smell of tobacco with no doubt someone must have done smoking before.
We felt necessary to report this issue, the manager the next day made an apology to us stating that they'll put non-smoking signage in multi languages on our suggestion and make it more visible to read.
It is for good hotel reputations that they should mean it for truly non-smoking buildings!

We stayed 4 days in Hanoi. The hotel was good. The staff at reception were very good they organised our Halong bay tour at very short notice and at a reasonable price. We left Hanoi on a Sunday when the roads are closed off around the hotel so they walked our luggage upto the top of the road and got us a cab to the airport. The room was small but comfortable the bed was huge. Would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again when we visit next time.

There are two Sunline Hotels in Hanoi, as far as I know, and I wasn't sure which one to stay at -- but this one was pretty good location-wise and not noisy or hectic as I'd feared, being rather central. Capable service, really good breakfast, and very clean, comfortable rooms made this a great stay.

The Sunline is in a good location for the Old Quarter District making walking a viable option to get around. There are a number of good restaurants within the immediate vicinity. The accommodation is of a good standard, with the room being clean and we'll serviced. The staff are good and speak good English. The breakfast is adequate and definitely nothing flash. Although this hotel is nothing flash, it is well appointed, convenient and worth considering for a stay in Hanoi.

Sunline hotel is 2 min walk to the lake and on one of the quieter streets in the area. It is also in a convenient location. The staff are pleasant and ready to help. The breakfast had good variety, the rooms were clean. The balcony was on the small side, enough room to stand but not enough room to fit a chair. Would I stay here again? Yes, we did.

Nice hotel, small room.

Good location, it seems that many similar hotels is around. Room was ok, but it is very small. From executive room I expected more. Small balcony mens French balcony. Staff was ok, they recommended very good resturant nerby Madamme Yet.

Hanoi comfort and style

We had not stayed at Sunline before but have stayed in this area of Hanoi before . The hotel was excellent - rooms not huge but spacious enough . We had 2 small balconies , one of them overlooking Bao Khan st from the 5 th floor. The area is great - not as chaotic and noisy as the old quarter but only a few minutes walk from it and very close to Hoan Kiem lake too. There are restaurants and bars in Bao Khan st so lots of places to eat or drink nearby . The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful - stylishly decorated and very clean . We were sad to leave and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location in the middle of everything

Sunline Hotel has a perfect location, just between the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and the french quarter. Everything is just few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Can only recommend this place.

Very friendly staff. Always ready and able to assist and advise. Excellent choice if you enjoy walking.
Hotel is impeccably clean.
Breakfast is excellent.
There are no bad marks to give this hotel other than the size of the rooms, but they are similar to many in other top asian cities.
Overall,a great value for your money.

Great stay.

We were in the honeymoon suite. Compared to other hotels we stayed at across North Vietnam mostly in a very budget friendly sense, that said, this was by far our most comfortable stay. It's important to note we stayed here on a flash deal, paying $55 per night. The two women who check us in were amazing, professional, and helpful. The man who checked us out (at 5 am) had us pay 90 cents on a credit card to cover a bottle of water from the mini bar and forgot to give us our card back.

The hotel room was small, but cozy. The two balconies were nice, the bed, bathroom, and tv options were great.

Great location, great sleep

Despite the very central location (one street from the lake) we had almost perfect sleep. The room was quiet and the bed super comfortable.

The staff were super friendly and we can definitely recommend a visit.
