Spacious room with three bunk beds and a living room, but small bathroom with weird sink controls. Room is worn down with some stains and scuffs. Windows are frosted and dirty so best to leave the blinds down which makes the room darker. But location is great next to Namba and Kuromon Market. Breakfast is good but doesn’t change daily and you have to commit to the style of food and time slot in advance.

A cute hotel tucked away in an alley very close to all the fun of Osaka - Dontonburi. Rooms are small but to the trick, and have great air conditioning. You are able to rent gaming consoles for free which was a fun and unique add.

The location of this hotel is great. The breakfast was decent. Check in was great. They kept our bags in the lobby until check in time which was appreciated. They had games the kids could borrow and my son enjoyed that you could bring a gaming system to your room. Now— I would NEVER stay in a bunk room ever again. They were not mattresses or even futons. It was a 2 inch piece of foam. It was so uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on the bare floor. I wanted to switch hotels the moment I felt how terrible they were. I had to wind up sleeping on the couch.

It is down an alleyway that was questionable. My room smelled and the AC took awhile to work. The room was humid. I felt like I was in a motel. The AC started leaking. The AC is over the doorway so it was wet getting in and out of our room. They came up and looked at it and just placed a towel down and said the AC does that during the summer.

Staff was friendly close to famous Dontonbouri and marketplace however the bunkbed mattresses were not mattresses nor were they even futons they were rock hard and had to sleep on the couch. Thank goodness for the couch and thangoodness it was just a 1 night stay.

Excellent place to stay in when you're in Osaka! The Namba Hotel has a built in restaurant beneath that serves breakfast and also lunch/dinner on the side. The room was quite spacious when it came to a room with 2 set of bunkbeds and a small living room quarter. The bunk beds were perfect size and I liked how each bunk has a light and cover to make it feel more private when you're sharing the room with 3 other people. Bathroom was quaint and had all the main necessities required. Living quarter had the essential TV, couch, fridge, and shelf and it all was quite modernized. The only drawback though was the outside window which was essentially a wall and piping for the building, but then again you have the entirety of Osaka to explore than just your window. Staff were friendly and can also speak English in case you need so and service in general was quick too. I liked how they have a nice snack and gaming area if you want to play some board games with your friends, and they also have bikes to loan out as well if you need it.

A very nice stay for my Osaka leg of my trip and I'll definitely consider this spot to others if they consider staying in the Namba area of Osaka!

We are travelling as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). This hotel had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our stay. The boys particularly liked the cubicle bunk beds. The Japanese style breakfast was so lovely every morning and was served from the restaurant on the ground floor making it very convenient. There is a train station about a 3 minute walk away making it easy to get anywhere you need to go and an overwhelming amount of restaurants all in walking distance. Lovely staff at the hotel as well.

Positives: Convenient location within walking distance to Dotonbori District and local train station to get to Universal. Beds were comfortable. Not positives: The ceiling in our room had what looked like mold on it. The air conditioner was difficult to operate. Most of our complaints were in regards to the bathroom. There was almost no counter space in the bathroom and you couldn’t use the toilet seat lid for extra space because it was slanted and anything you put there would slide off. For the sink, the faucet wouldn’t stay running until you turned it on very high when it would ‘click’ into place. The spray directions on the bidet were way off and there was no drying feature. Luckily we only needed the room for two nights. This would not have been a comfortable stay for any longer.

This is the second year we stayed in this hotel. Location is great, right in the heart of Namba, walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. Subway lines are also nearby so it’s easy to explore the city from here. Rooms are small, but that’s the norm in Japan do not a surprise. Breakfast is delicious, we chose Japanese style but they also served a western option.

We had the double bunk room and found it perfect for the 4 of us. This is a great hipster hotel with futons not spring mattresses. Don’t bring your 70yr old parent here, it’s not for them. Get the breakfast included with your stay, well worth it. Cosplay costumes and treats in the lobby. Only thing they could improve upon is having outlets for charging in their lobby and more comfortable seating in lobby. Great walking location to shopping and restaurants.

We booked this lodging with breakfast and then found out they would not be serving breakfast yet when we needed to leave for the airport. The manager refused to refund the breakfast charge. I contacted Expedia which was ready to provide the refund with the hotel's approval, but the manager declined them as well. I would not stay here again.

Bit of a dodgy part of town in terms of location - dodgy massage places and the like. Being Japan didn’t really feel unsafe but just less pleasant I guess. Same for the facility itself. It’s an old converted apartment building. Entrance and lobby area is nicely renovated and clean and the restaurant attached looks great (didn’t dine there so can’t comment on the food).
But the rooms themselves are very very small and not really nicely renovated. I found the pictures perhaps a little misleading. Maybe some rooms are better than others. Bathroom was clean and looked quite new which was a relief but small as is common in Japan. All in all not a terrible nights sleep but was glad to checkout after the one night and move on.

They gave us a room for 6 people and we were only three. The beds were futons and encapsulated, that definitely aggravated my sciatica, by the AM I couldn’t even get out of the “bunk bed” . My mom slept on the couch, (there was no way she could have got out of that bed) the surface was sticky, she had to put a sheet over. Also, the check out was 10am. Usually it’s 11am, I would not come back . And they were definitely not cheap, 15000 plus change (yen)…. Only good thing , they kept our luggage so we can go to the Osaka castle, and let us borrow umbrellas ( but any hotel would do it). We will not come back and I personally do not recommend it for a family of 3.

We stayed in the family suite with 6 bunk beds for our family of 5. I did not have a pleasant stay and considered leaving on the first day, but decided not to since we were only there for 3 nights. Pros: walking distance to Dotonbori and subway stations. Cons: beds are not mattresses but more like futons, very thin and uncomfortable like sleeping on the floor. They also creak loudly whenever someone moves on the bed. The hallways are dingy and cold, and you can hear dogs barking throughout the day and people coming and going from their rooms. The laundry room is located in a back alley where they also use as a storage space. Laundry is also overpriced compared to ones we used in Tokyo hotels. The washroom is extremely small, and poorly laid out considering how big the rest of the room is. They could have expanded the washroom and cut off half the living space instead. Room isn't as pretty as the pictures, expect to see scuff marks on the walls. Surrounding area is safe but lots of garbage everywhere from all the party goers. Also they only offer luggage delivery if the receiving hotel agrees to pay on delivery, otherwise you'd have to bring your luggage to the Yamato office located 5 minutes away, which is what we had to do.

This hotel is in a great location, close to several subway lines, shopping, bars etc. It is perfect for younger people who pack lightly, like backpackers. We were traveling with my 70 y/o mother and we had 3 large suitcases which also had gifts for family we were visiting in Japan. The 4 bed room was similar to a capsule hotel (the 4 beds) with a living room and bathroom. My niece enjoyed the new experience but it was a bit hard for my mother.

It was a boutique hotel with a cool decor and vibe to it. While it was walkable to \"the action\", it was tucked away enough to be quiet and comfortable. Transportation and shopping were also very convenient. While the rooms are a bit on the small size (ours had 2 beds), they were comfortable, clean and the rate was quite reasonable. The staff was very nice and we had a very easy check in. We only stayed one night but certainly would do so again.

The location of the hotel is excellent! It is very close to the Kuromon Market, the railway station and walkable to Dontonbori. Staff were nice and the place is clean with comfy beds. The restaurant on the main level serves really good food. The only downside is the walls are not really soundproof. I was able to hear next door using the bathroom and sounds from outside the window when I sleep at night.

Really nice place to stay. Just a short distance from Nipponbashi subway and about 800m away from Namba station on Midosuji line. Main shopping district at Shinsaibashi station which is 1 station away from Namba station.
Room was spacious for 4 people (Asian) and clean but do note that they don't clean the rooms everyday. They can just change your towels and bathrobe everyday. Need to leave trash and used towels everyday outside door for them to change. However, I must say their hospitality was great. Loved staying here and will definitely book them again in future.
PS: There is a good small takoyaki/okonomiyaki place about 30 metres from hotel at a cross junction on the way to Namba station. Hotel sells mineral water at 50 yen per bottle which is cheaper than any convenience store.

Very convenient to Dontonbori, everything was a quick walk away. Room was spacious with plenty of seating, a small fridge and kettle. We had a three bunk room and as others have said the mattresses were incredibly thin and very hard so my husband ended up sleeping on the couch for greater comfort. I loved the little bunk pods though. Bathroom was functional. My son loved the dress-ups that you could try near reception- a nice touch. The restaurant downstairs was also excellent and the staff in there were lovely.

This hotel is centrally located in the tourist area of Namba. We enjoyed our stay in the quad sharing room. Overall, it was clean, quiet and service staff did a good job. The breakfast was excellent. A few minor tweaks would have greatly improve our stay - a thicker mattress, firmer pillows, and a good clean of the carpet. It would also help to have a full length mirror in the room.

This I a hidden gem near the Namba station, it’s hidden in a side street right near Kuramon Market. It’s also right in the heart of the namba area. It hard to find a room for a family of five, the room was large with a living area that was large for five. It was different Becuase there was a bunk bed capsule style beds in which the kids loved Becuase they had like a small room to themself, the only complaint I would have was the mattress could be better, it was to thin and not soft. The AC was good as most hotels in Japan turn off the AC and only provide heating, for me I rather have a cooler room vs a warm room. The staff was very nice and always greeted you when you walked in.

Great stay. Cute, updated, modern hotel. Room is small. But we had the 2 double bed room and used one bed for luggage since we had a lot.

The area was perfect. Short walk to the Kuroman Market and the centre of the Dontonburi area. Lots to see and do from your door step.

Don’t let the Street it’s on mislead you, it is possibly the only street with lots of litter and looks more like an alley. But the hotel is very clean and well worth your stay.

Great location - close to Nipponbashi subway station and Namba station but tucked away on a quiet side street. Buffet breakfast was delish. Rooms were cozy and clean.

Nice, clean, hotel with beautiful reception staffs

Nice, clean hotel, though isn't as pictures that big was expected for Japan hotel. Reception are friendly nice peoples.
