If you turn left, you will find pristine white beach that is absolutely lovely. Not exactly bar front, but that’s almost better. Ajinta is lovely. You absolutely need a motorbike to be there. It’s a beautiful place and I would stay there again.

All the staff are very helpful and incredibly friendly. Special mention to staff member chan(Jan) from Laos who was great! The beach right next to resort is stunning and currently development free! Balcony rooms are a bit dated and the shower wasn’t great. Food at beach bar and service excellent! Another shout out to แดง the dog who lives on the beach, he’s a wee legend!

Interesting resort with a fantastic beach

We stayed there for one week on a two month vacation. It had been a great vacation with each hotel having its own charm. This one was no exception. We stayed on a bungalow close to the beach.

The resort is by itself so it is down the hill from some good restaurants. The hile up the hill is probably only thing that was not perfect, you will probably want to rent a motorcycle which are available on site.

Food was good. The service was incredible. All the people working were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The check in had a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool. The only downside is it added two stories of staird to the walk every time you come and go. The view is great but i would have had the entrance at ground level. That is just me.

Now to the incredible parts. The resort is a narrow resort on a hillside. When you get to the beach is rocky. Great for snorkelling but not so much for swimming. But what they dont tell you is the beach attached is about 1/2 mile of beautiful white sand beach with beautiful water, palm trees and fantastic swimming. We did not see more than 10 people at any given time on that half mile of beach. It was amazing. Like a story book.

I hare to even share the experience because i would like to keep the secret to myself. Best beach experience i have ever had and i have been to quite a few beaches.. it was cool and so private. We hated to leave. I could have lived there.

Nice breakfast options, stunning & remote location that is easy to reach, within walking distance of the Bang Bao beach, free & unlimited drinking water in your room and on the beach, as well as use of kayaks, snorkelling gear, sun loungers and a towel. The beach has a swing, palm trees, is incredibly long, a great site for snorkelling and has buttefflies, cute crabs and the a dog occasionally passing through (totally harmless). The sunset view is to die for, the sky lights up with stars in the night and you are surrounded by the beautiful noises of both sea and nature. You also get a great view from the breakfast area and the swimming pool is enormous.

They arranged a driver for me to sitesee because I don't know how to ride a scooter, and they gave me a whole chocolate cake for my birthday (with candles & a cute flower-towel arrangment message on my bed).

The new managment under Ajinta ('Cham's House' was the old managment) is serious about putting customers first and making sure they have a great stay, with both service and character. The restaurant below the resort remembers returning customers, can add the bill to your room and greets you in the evening with a warm towel & a mosquito spray.

We stayed at Chams House for sixt nights. The service was not good and the food and spa service overpriprized. A local restaurant next by the Beach had good food to a much better price. The straff did not speak good english. We had expected more from Chams House.

Please please listen to your customers and put bacon back on the breakfast menu, even if the owner doesn't like it because of his faith, its a hotel, not his home where he lives, the majority of the customers are westerners so listen to your customers.
And please at least put a handsoap on the bathroom, my room had none.
Lastly, some staff barely spoke or understood a word of english, in a hotel that wants to be 4 star you need to have staff that at least can communicate in basic english.
Also the hotel needs a good paint soon, its starting to look sad.

Modern hotel with secluded beach on remote island.

Stayed in deluxe room with beautiful ocean views and balcony jacuzzi. Hotel is right on the beach and has its own private beach. Koh Kood is beautifully unspoiled by any commercial buildings or highrises. It’s remote and laid back with plenty of untarnished natural wonders.

Nice hotel, quiet, and nice staffs

I had heard from my friends who went there and they were happy with it as they had exceptional experiences. On the other hands, I had read many reviews on social media and I was a bit worried about the place including cleanliness, staffs, location, etc... as I sent email to contact email of this place in December and nobody replies to me till March. So I decided to follow up in the other ways. Eventually, I had got information about how to get to the hotel, which ferries service should I take, etc...

After my stay here, I would say that everything was beyond my expectation! staffs were so nice and helpful, f&b was great! location was not too bad, and facilities were satisfied.

For the trash near the beach, I saw that they tried to keep clean for the beachfront but somehow trashes came from the waves during the night when it was high tide and these trashes were from the sea!? because I didn't see it on the first day that I arrived but the second day I saw trashes on the beachfront. What I could understand is trashes were from the fishing boats during the night and the hotel has no right to control this. It should be improved for this one.

Cham's was a delight. The private beach and attentive staff made the stay quite nice. There are several other resorts on the island with a more low key vibe, but Cham's suits all kinds (families and couples) well.

I am not disgruntled guest just disappointed:
It boasts of wanting to be a 4 star but lacks in most areas:
- tried to get upgrade and was never fully helped
- room had no service phone, poor internet, bad tv reception
- room had geckos and always droppings on bed
- did not have food items that were listed on menu, too expensive for low quality food
- service poor, help his behind wall
- beachfront very rocky
Overall, a nice 2 star but not even 3 star!!

Cut prices (food and services), smile, treat guests as real guests, communicate events, improve consistency of food and remove items from menu that you do not have available, be better at providing responsive service,

Very disappointed with this hotel.

Room: Overpriced. old, small and doesnt appear to look like the photo on the booking site. The bathroom is very old and molded. Water pressure is very low and unstable temperature. The bed is too soft, twin bed connect together instead of king bed. Caused back pain and unpleasent sleep. Ants all over the place.

Food: terribly expensive and not even good. Breakfast line is the worst. Always no food in the tray. I barely eat because there were nothing available. Unattended restaurant staffs. Lacks of service mind.

Pool: old and dirty. It looked really good on the photo but in reality its hard to have good time. Cracked tiles all ovet the pool.

Guest service: unresponsive. I actually complained at the front desk. What they did was just asked me to write on a comment card. No applogy no symphaty. Communication before the check in date was the worst. They didnt even mention that they have a service boat available. Not helpful

House keeping and concierge: very nice and friendly

Motorbike rental: low quality. I had to ask for a new bike as the one that has been given to us was broken

Location: ok but the beach is not the most beautiful beach full of rocks and trash.

Overall great experience, wifi worked well, great room and beach. Housekeeping was exemplary, I would add some chocolates to the minibar. It's worth walking down to the far left side of the beach to see the volcanic rocks. Free kayak and snorkeling equipment was a huge plus. Highly recommend the beach front pool villa. Priced just right!

Nice but not excellent.

The receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our rooms earlier than check-in without an extra cost. The room was very big and the shower was very nice. A couple of drawbacks were that there were some small ants in the room.

The beach was nice, beautiful view and free snorkeling and water activity equipment. The beach beds were a bit worn out but OK.

There are not that many restaurants around the hotel so you are pretty limited to the hotel restaurant unless you are mobile or want to take a taxi. The food there was so and so and a bit overprices.

OVerall we were pleased but the hotel is a bit more worn down than the photos online.

Very nice place, but.....

this was my 2nd stay at Chams House, however unfortunately things have changed a lot. prior to Chams house I stayed at another Resort right next to a family with a kid that screamed a lot, on arrival at Chams house that same family had checked in too at Chams house and were put in a private Villa right next to mine! I requested reception if they could please put me in a Villa at least a little bit away so I dont have to listen to a screaming kid for my entire holiday, they just said Sorry, nothing we can do. Breakfast is very dull, it used to be good, but now it really is not worth eating breakfast here, very little on offer. There is no bacon as the owner insists on halaal meat, I disagree with the halaal slaughter process so I will not touch halaal products, purely based on the cruelty to animals in the process.
In my Villa the lights in the bathroom, and private pool were not working, finally on my 3rd day there they were fixed. one last thing, after breakfast I wanted to use a kayak and snorkelling gear and I noticed there was no one at the desk where one has to sign for them, I asked one of the staff who said they would contact reception, 20 minutes later I asked another staff member, finally after waiting 45 minutes at the activity desk I had enough and went up to the reception myself, bear in mind the activity desk is open at 8am, this was past 9pm. one person said the person on the desk had gone to the toilet, 45 minutes? really! some professionalism would be good.

Private hotel and beach front, good services.

A little far from Kohkood Express Ferry (about 40 mins by car), I have 3D2N with this nice resort, private, quiet and good services. The restaurant is close to beach to enjoy with sunset. But the Thai food taste especially for Tom Yam Koong is not meet my expectation as i'm a native. Anyway you can visit local seafood restaurant at Aowyai fisherman village, about 5 k.m. from hotel by a rental motorcycle.

Amazing location, lovley staff, shame about food

we stayed for two nights, on arrival we were checked in and given welcome drinks. the hotel has Very friendly staff, they took us on a free trip to one of the island waterfalls which was brilliant. Always kept the complimentary mini bar well stocked and offed DVDs to borrow (the TV channels weren't very good!) The hotel has amazing views, great pool and beautiful beach with great sun loungers! Our bed was huge and clean with a little balcony.
The only thing letting this hotel down is the restaurant. Its located on the beach we were very excited about dinner but it was the worst meal we had in Thailand and it was over priced. The manager did offer us alternative meals but we declined and our bill was reduced. unfortunately the hotel is very remote so we were pretty hungry for most of our stay! but over all very beautiful, relaxing and romantic place to go.

Koh Kood Getaway.

A great place to get away from it all. Quiet and peaceful - what more do you want?! Good quality breakfast included. They provided a free mini-bar with soft drinks and water everyday. There was also a great little coffee-making machine in the room.

Really enjoyed my stay here, awesome location on the beach, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. breakfast could have been a little better organised, they ran out of certain things, all a bit chaotic. only thing I'd like to say is one staff member on reception was extremely rude and unhelpful the entire stay, all the rest of the staff were great.
great island to explore its many beaches, not overcrowded or too touristy.

Great place to get away from it all and relax.

Cham's House is in a beautiful setting on an almost private beach. Very relaxing, with a friendly, unobtrusive staff. Food choices are somewhat limited, but acceptable for the location. Stay in the main building - heard stories of bugs in the beach front villas. Very much enjoyed the stay!!

The location is too isolated and deep inside the island.
If you really need your own privacy you may like it.
The beach is not the expectation when you compare to the other one which one mile closer !
Price here for meal is double when you compare to other or maybe 4 - 5 times than the local restaurant.

Fantastic hotel and staff!

It was perfect! We were secluded and left alone. It was perfect! This is a remote island so know what you are signing up for before booking. The hotel is fantastic. We booked a oceanfront room with a plunge pool and had a wonderful stay. We emailed the hotel in advance and booked the speedboat transfer which turned out to be private for us. What a treat! The spa was fantastic as well and we booked two hour messages each night for us. Food was pretty darn good too. All seemed nicely priced. The beach at the hotel was very nice. I would recommend to anyone.

Very Nice Hotel Located In Beatiful Island

This is a very nice hotel, which I definitely will come back. Koh Kood is a very beautiful place I had ever been. We love is so much. This hotel has an amazing view from the 2 restaurants. The beach is very beautiful, we love the sunset view so much. We enjoy our pool villa so much, as very pretty ocean view from our pool. The bed is very comfortable. Only the open bath is the disadvantage of this hotel, as this is open bath, there's lots of ants, the most horrible thing is the ants coming out from the shower head, so we never try it, if they can keep it more cleanliness, it's a very nice open bath. The hotel staff is very friendly and they have a passion to serve all guests. This hotel is the place we don't wanna leave. We will definitely going back again.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Ajinta Resort. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und die Lage direkt am Strand ist überragend – der Strand vor dem Hotel ist ein echtes Paradies mit nur wenigen Menschen.
Der Service war sehr gut, das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und das Frühstück ebenfalls sehr lecker.
Man merkt allerdings an einigen Stellen, dass das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Es sind eher viele kleine Details, keine großen Mängel, und aktuell wird auch daran gearbeitet. Die Zimmerreinigung hätte teilweise etwas gründlicher sein können, war aber insgesamt in Ordnung.
Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Fint rum men lite eftersatt underhåll, blev uppgraderade till poolvilla med utsikt över havet. All personal var supertrevliga och hjälpsamma. Vacker tropisk parkmiljö mellan villorna. Stranden precis vid hotellet stenig men om man gick några meter åt vänster var det bara sandbotten och en riktig paradisstrand, kunde hitta en plats och vara helt ensam om man ville. Lånade kanot och snorkelutrustning helt gratis på stranden. På strandrestaurangen kunde vi äta middag i solnedgången och njuta av lugnet. Thailänska maten supergod.

Super fint hotell. Rekommendas! Massor av vatten på rummet vilket var ett stort plus. Även vatten vid alla sol sängar på stranden vilket är super nice! Rummet var stort och rent. Jacuzzin hade några år på nacken men var coolt. Restaurangen var fin och inte så dyr som många recensioner säger.

Ajinta Resort is a great place to stay. We stayed in both the bungalows and the hotel rooms, each with its own pros and cons. The bungalows are clean and have been recently upgraded, making them well worth the price. The hotel rooms are also clean but could use some updates.

During our stay, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working, but the staff handled it very well by offering us another room for the night while they fixed it.

The staff is friendly and genuinely tries to make you feel comfortable. They’re not perfect and make small mistakes here and there, but that’s okay.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay with good service. The bungalows offer great value for money, while the hotel rooms feel slightly overpriced for their current condition.

트로피칼 풀 빌라에 묶었습니다. 직원들은 친절했고 숙소도 만족스러웠습니다. 이전 주인의 시절 악평이 좀 보였지만 이름도 바꾸면서 관리가 잘 되고 있는거 같습니다. 조식은 많이 아쉽네요. 방도 조금 좁은 느낌입니다. 쇼파가 있을 자리 정도는 더 넓었으면 좋았을텐데요. 오토바이 대여료는 300바트입니다. 오토바이 상태는 좋진 않았어요. 박당 20만원대 가격대비 만족스러운 환경입니다. 코쿡 섬은 설연휴에도 중국인들이 거의 없어서 매우 한적한 휴양지 느낌을 가질 수 있었습니다. 그 점을 노리고 이 섬으로 온 이유이기도 하죠.

Nous avons réservé 8 nuits à l'Ajinta, après quelques hésitations, vu les avis négatif et commentaires d'autres clients.
L'hôtel a été rénové récemment et quelques réglages (dans les détails) sont encore nécessaires.
Par contre, qu'est ce que nous avons bien fait d'y aller !
Le spot est tout simplement SU-BLI-ME. Avis aux amateurs de calme, de plage de sable blanc et de sunsets, foncez à l'Ajinta, vous ne le regretterez pas...
Le personnel est adorable et se met en 4 au service de votre confort et de votre bien être, toujours avec le sourire ! Mention spéciale au garçon de plage et au barman :)
L'ambiance est agréable et raffinée : musique lounge réglée au bon volume, jolie déco, végétation magnifique, les jardins sont bien entretenus.
Nous avons séjourné dans une Villa tropicale, n°303 : chambre bien placée, spacieuse, climatisation opérationnelle, ménage fait tous les jours, mini bar (eau minérale) ravitaillée en quantité suffisante. Seul bémol : l'eau dans les sanitaires n'est pas toujours très fiable (débit faible, eau parfois pas très claire et quelques odeurs de fosse septique : n'oublions pas que nous sommes sur une île au milieu de nulle part...)
Le petit déjeuner est de bonne qualité et en quantité raisonnable. Le restaurant offre de bonnes options de repas si vous ne souhaitez pas bouger (les alentours regorgent d'endroits pour manger : nous avons testé et approuvé le Wooden Hut, notre cantine thaï toute la semaine à 3mn en scooter)
Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr..

- 10 minutes away (up hill) on foot from the nearest store. You need a motorcycle to get around.

- Nice and clean
- The water pressure was never really that good. Sometimes there wasn’t hot water. And then on our last day the water turned black. We went to the front desk for help and the hotel sent a plumber. He wasn’t able to repair it so the hotel offered us another room to shower in (the other room had so many ants in the bathroom so we decided to just take a shower and then go back to our other room)

Seuls les prix sont luxueux

Resort en cours de rehabilitation, beaucoup de bungalows (pardon, “villas”) sont en cours de restauration. Ce qui a déjà été restauré à été fait à la va vite, un coup de peinture ne cache pas tout…Resort éloigné de tout, véhicule indispensable si vous voulez mangez ailleurs qu’au restaurant aux tarifs indécents. Service inexistant (je voulais réserver un bateau de retour, on m’a dit de le faire moi même sur le site de la compagnie). Wifi laborieux, pas de réseau dans le logement que j’occupais. Les portes et fenêtres de mon logement ne fermaient pas hermétiquement, ça laisse passer toutes sortes d’insectes. Piscine avec 4 transats, plage équipée de 10 transats, beaucoup trop peu !

Hôtel qui fait des efforts de rénovation mais la piscine, plus spécifiquement son système de nettoyage est très bruyant en dessous de la chambre.
J'ai réservé chambre avec spa, ça ne vaut pas la peine, jets faibles.

Petit déjeuner a améliorer pas assez de choix en fruits locaux, qualité moyenne du sucré
105€ la nuit rapport qualité prix n'est pas au rendez-vous.

Great location expensive wine!

The resort Is really nice.The room where spacious and clean towels fresh and bathrobes too.
Great breakfast with many options.
Staff very helpful.
The only problem Is the restaurant they overcharge to the limit one glass of wine 500 bath ridiculousy!
So eat and drink somewhere else.
But the beach is mother natures finest work so beautiful and that’s why we are here in the first place isn’t it:)

Personal spricht teilweise fast kein Englisch.

l'hôtel est correct mais le service est totalement insuffisant. Les réceptionnistes parlent un mauvais anglais, promettent des services et ne font pas la communication.
Le restaurant a une sorte de monopole don ont des prix élevés pour une qualité très moyenne. Ils facturent 10 pourcent de service plus 7 pourcent de taxes. Ils ont de la peine à comprendre nos demandes en anglais. Heureusement que la situation de l'hôtel sur une plage de sable fin est idyllique !

Trött, slitet och smutsigt

Egentligen en mysig resort som säkert var fin för längesedan. Men stället behöver sig en rejäl uppfräschning i form av både renovering och städ. Det är smutsigt och fläckar på varenda tyg i rummet. Myror överallt, både stora och små. Även på frukosten håller myrorna till, t.o.m i maten. Porslinet är smutsigt och maten smakar inte bra. Sista dagen hoppade vi över frukosten. Restaurangen har sjuka överpriser, ungefär 3 ggr så mkt som på vägen utanför.
Städ är i princip obefintlig, en gubbe med kvast kommer in och sopar och fyller på vattenflaskor. På fyra nätter fick vi varken rena sängkläder eller handdukar en enda gång. Det enda bra med detta ställe var att de städade poolen som tillhörde villan tidigt på morgonen så man kunde bada i den direkt.

All the staff members were very nice and very helpful, the breakfast was included and good.
But the hotel is absolutely not worth the price you pay per night. And we were there off season so you pay a little bit less. The price is too high because very si gel equipment in the hotel or in the room is missing maintenance, there is always something broken, used or not cleaned properly. This is very sad because the property has so much potential but absolutely no maintenance.

Diese Unterkunft sieht nur auf den Fotos gut aus! Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen, und die Zimmer auch! Bei uns war erst die Toilette defekt, dann die Dusche, und wir warteten Stunden, bis sich jemand bemühte etwas zu tun. Danach konnten sie es nicht reparieren, und es gab kein anderes Zimmer für unseren Aufenthalt. Wir sind dann in ein anderes Hotel umgezogen. Auch das Restaurant ist lieblos, am Strand gibt es bloss paar einzelne Liegen, keine Sonnenschirme, nix. Keine bequemen Stühle. Das ganze war ein Reinfall. Und 20 Meter neben dem Hotel beginnt ein zugemüllter Strand (und direkt vor dem Hotel hat es Steine im Wasser) . Nirgendwo auf der Insel gab es soviel Plastik am Strand wie dort. Es wurde bestimmt Jahre nicht merh zusammengetragen der angeschwemmte Plastik :-( . Es ist auch der am wenigsten schöne Strand der ganzen Insel. Sorry, aber leider kann ich nix besseres schreiben! :-( Gruss Bettina

Cham’s House

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold på Chams House. Beliggenheten er bra da det er kort vei opp til hovedgata der man kan velge litt forskjellige steder å spise på. Frokosten på Resorten var bra, maten i restauranten også men de hadde veldig små porsjoner.
Bungalowene er store og fine, vi har allerede bestemt oss for å dra tilbake neste år.
Resorten ordnet med alt av logistikk vedrørende transport både ved ankomst og avreise. Alt var veldig organisert. Det er massevis av fine strender på øya men man bør belage seg på å leie moped for å farte litt rundt da taxi tilbudet ikke er så bra.

Nous avions réservé une chambre pool private villa

Har varit jättefint men behöver upprustning. Ligger fint nära stranden och en fin pool. Frukosten var helt okej och vi fick gratis massage en gång via en biljett.
Men det är dyrt, maten på hotellet kostar minst dubbelt så mycket och det är svårt att ta sig därifrån om man inte hyr moppe. Personalen är ovillig att hjälpa dig fixa en taxi för att komma till andra restauranger och om de ska göra det är det också jättedyrt.
Det finns ingen mottagning på telefonen och wi-fi fungerar skapligt. Hotellet behöver rustas upp för att leva upp till sina stjärnor.

Hallo, leider sehr schlechter Service und mussten zu Beginn gleich unser Zimmer wechseln, da wir kein warmes Wasser hatten. Sehr unfreundliches Personal, das uns 3 Stunden auf das neue Zimmer warten ließ. Keinerlei Entschuldigung hierfür. Für den Preis leider sehr sehr enttäuschend.

Very bad location. Only one restaurant around and very expensive and little selection. Not so friendly staff. We asked for help with the installation of an HDMI cable behind the TV. The technician said it didnt worked. We got to show him ourself. Very high massage prices. They don’t take care of their garden. We left two day in advance.

Lugnt hotell med fin strand.

Vi bodde fyra nätter på chams, Helt okej hotel men läget var lite off. Vi bytte upp oss till en villa första natten vilket var bra, sliten toalett men annars bra rum, insikter och små geckos kommer lätt in. Sköna sängar, bra wi-fi. Trycket i duschen va uselt och värmen svårreglerad. Under vår vistelse var det lite struligt med olika saker främst pågrund av personalens bristande engelska men bra service när de väl förstod. Fin egen strand, bra snorkling, helt ok frukost och god mat i restaurangen.
Hotellet bredvid hade grym mat för halva priset av chams, 10min gångväg från hotellet fanns massage, fruktstånd och en liten shop vilket kan vara bra att veta. Helt klart värt att hyra moppe om man bor här.
Hotellet hade mycket ny personal och var under ombyggnaden under vår vistelse med lite bättre struktur och mindre byggnation är detta nog en blivande pärla!
