The rooms were beyond awful. It looks like (based on the photos) that two people started to fix up this old motel and the one who was fixing it up quit and left halfway the project. We booked two rooms, for our family and my parents. Their room looked like an awful hospital room. Our floors were uneven, tiles in the bathroom were loose with glue remains next to it, open sockets with notes on it to not touch (luckily higher up so kids could't touch it). The property itself was nice and maintained. There is a little playground next to the pool and the grounds are great. If the hotel has fixed up rooms, they should not rent out to unfixed rooms. I think the photos do NOT match the actual rooms, so it was a dissappointment.

It was very peaceful and exactly what we needed for our family for a quick trip. Other than need minor repairs to the bathroom tiles everything was good. I love the keyless entry and the early and late checkout times.

The property was so charming! The little flower field located in the outback area was also so cute! Me and my fiancé enjoyed are time here, it was nice, quiet, peaceful & was close to all the places we were visiting nearby.
The property manager was also so kind, helpful, and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay again!

BEWARE!! I am extremely upset, I was charged $75 for damaged towels, towels i used to stand on outside the shower that got dirt on them from the dirty floors in the cabin. I wasnt gonna make a big deal about the floors being dirty, I get it its on the lake, just dont go bare foot walking around. But to be charged for dirty towels, last i checked towels get dirty and you bleach them. I will not be recommended this place to my friends and family. Overall i would have, but the $75 charge is outrageous.

Property is quiet area with a lot of open road. Nice for relaxing. My cabin room was clean but I’m not a big fan of the separate restroom and shower. There was no breakfast or blow dryer. But aside from that I would stay again because it’s a quiet area.

It's a clean and charming place. My only complaint is they would not refund all of the fee for unused days as a result of an unforeseen medical emergency. They reimbursed some but not all, saying they needed time to re-book the room, even though they had plenty of rooms available.

The best place to stay in Canyon Lake! I've stayed several times and the room was always clean. I plan on staying again in the future. Only issue is parking, some rooms are not close to parking spaces. Otherwise 10/10.

The cabin was nice and cozy, served my family of four (4 adults, 2 are college students) well. Only down side was a water main broke and we didn't have water to shower at night, but management did provide 2 gallons of water for other needs (thank you!) and water was back on by morning sonable to shower then. Never could get internet, but certainly NOT a big deal we didn't realy need the internet. Parking was easy and right at our front door (cabin 19). Overall, good stay and would come back.

Cute but we found long hair and short hair either human or dog on bed sheets; also in our daughter‘s cabin, they found bedbugs on their beds and sheets & were transferred to a second cabin & also found bedbugs and insects in the shower. The door locks were placed wrong, you were able to open the front door to the cabin with a credit card. We had to immediately wash our clothes before getting home & all of us experienced bug bites.

Charming Find in Hill Country

Incredibly comfortable bed! The property is well laid-out and conveniently located with a Brookshire Brothers grocery just down the road. There are two main areas which may be helpful to anticipate: the "Outback" area is a continuation of the main section of cabins, and . The biggest con is that the shower had no shelving or niches to put toiletries on: everything had to sit on the ground (which may have been less unpleasant if the shower pan had less rust residue, though as I understand that is an issue with local water supply). The AC also definitely needed a new filter. I don't think this detracts from the overall experience and I fully expect we'll be back soon!

This is an absolute catfish hotel.

The pictures are of a stunning modern white clad crisp clean room. And when you arrive it’s like walking into Narnia…except not cool. You’re transported into your grandmas cat pee and pall mall covered house with linens and accommodations her great grandmother passed down to her.

I contacted the property and they were happy to move me to a new room. It was just as bad, but stinkier.

Then they said they’d be happy to let me switch my double bed room for a king and a pull out that actually looked like the pictures. How kind!?!?

This property has a ton of potential and yet…we overspent on our family vacation to be disappointed and uncomfortable.

The tv is so small you can’t even see it, but I guess it didn’t matter because you couldn’t hear it either.

And all they could offer me was a measly $75 refund. Hopefully they use my well wasted money to buy some new linens of perhaps Odoban.

Im giving the Claire Hotel a 2 star only because the person who assisted me was very pompt & polite. This place is not as listed in the photos. I initially got cabin 11, which says it could hold up to 10 person. However, the cabin is very small. I suppose it's an okay place to lay your head but I would never return unless there are some major renovations made. The cabin smelled, stains on wall & visible mold in the vents. I alerted the staff, which they were accommodating and offered me another cabin. We moved to cabin 9, which was a little more cleaner than the first and did not have mold in the vents or ceiling. It wasn't sustainable for me & my family. The place had planks of the floor slipping around every time someone walked on them. The wall plugs are all loose. The electric is wonky, things flickered as you walked or sat down somewhere. There was only cold water from both restrooms, it was nearly impossible for any of us to shower. There were bugs inside and a huge spider on the porch blocking the door. I paid for 4 nights but we were only able to stay 1 night. My family and I did not feel safe. I let customer service know that i was leaving after the first night. We turned off the air, all the light and locked up the place. Unfortunately i lost out on money not staying the whole time. I had to get a hotel about 30 mins away and pay even more since we were a party of 10. I wish the place looked as described and was everything we wanted it to be but sadly it wasnt.

The location is excellent, well off the main road so nice and quiet. There is an excellent restaurant about a mile away called Wildflour. The cabins are extremely basic - a great place for kids. There is literally nothing they can break. The beds were fine but I would not want to sleep on the futons in the living room. The bedrooms are very small with only a small wooden shelf on the sides as nightstands. It’s not a hotel. It’s 20+ cabins run via the internet. It would be an inexpensive place for a large family reunion. There is a pool and playground but we did not use either because it was cold and rainy while we were there.

Easy check-in process. Everything was thoroughly explained with easy to understand instructions. There was a maintenance issue due to extreme cold temperatures, something beyond the control of the hotel. They immediately went to work on it and were so apologetic, even though they had no control over it. We were given an upgrade, a huge upgrade.
The rooms were plenty big, the beds comfortable, and it was very, very clean. We will definitely be going back.
