First time I saw in my life that in winter a hotel switch off the heating of the room. So once we entered to room it was cold as outside. When I asked about it to reception that room is cold they said engineer will come and solve it in 20 mins but actually this period became 2 hours… also there was no electricity in the room because of faulty in card system. Staff offered us an exchange room but the bed was half of the size of the room which was given to us. Therefore we refused to change the room. All problems are solved within 3 hours. Rooms are not very new, so the pictures are not giving the condition realistically. It’s quite in the center it’s the only plus that I can say.

Location is convenient for the station. The room is really clean but what really annoyed me was the lack of a basic coffee machine for breakfast. Just Nescafé sachets is simply not good enough for a hotel.

I read review about how inače people felt, but that should not be the case. Overall, the city has a lower crime rate than other surrounding countries.. This is also the city center. The hotel is lit well, even if the street isn't. Street lighting is a city issue, anyway, and not a hotel issue., so I'm not sure why anyone put that blame on the hotel. The staff is friendly and allows you to store luggage if you arrive before the 3pm check-in. It's a later check-in, but also a late check-out at 2pm.

This was a safe and cozy spot to stay a few nights. The only real complaint was the 2g free wifi barely worked and was in and out the whole time causing me to use my phone hot spot. Also the bar closed at 9pm even on weekends.. plus: breakfast was free and great and the staff were fabulous at each step!

Staff were amazing went far beyond what you would expect from a hotel. Ron the receptionist worked tirelessly to get a flight back to the UK for us. We faced being stranded in Moldova for weeks. He even took us to the hotel in his own car. In his own time. He is a credit to your hotel and company brand. I can't say enough about him. Please pass on our thanks once again.

Perfectly adequate for discovering the city.

A nice clean hotel, just on the edge of the center of town. You can walk to the central park in about 15 minutes and the walk will take your straight through the farmers market area where all of the action is. The hotel is just off the main street, on a quiet side street so there isn't much noise at all. The room was pretty standard and everything in good condition. Breakfast was fine, although it wasn't until the last day that I realized they have eggs to order available. Up until then I was eating the buffet scrambled eggs which were always way overdone. They really need to improved the scrambled eggs.

A short walk from the main avenue, but the immediate neighborhood has nothing of interest. Friendly, English-speaking staff. Room, bar, and restaurant were perfectly adequate...not opulent but everything worked perfectly fine and it was clean.

Reservation was listed a day ahead of actual arrival. Were told they had no rooms available for the actual last night of the stay but as we were packing to move they gave us an upgrade room for same price. The staff was very helpful ordering transportation.
The breakfasts were meager and many items (eggs and bread) ran out before we arrived.
This hotel may be great for Moldova but not in the same class as western Europe.

Some reviews I read before staying here suggested that it was not \"central.\" I suppose that depends on your perspective. It is effectively 1-2 blocks from what were once the two biggest hotels in the city - Hotel Chisinau and the National.

I found it a very comfortable place to stay.

Pay at the hotel option does not work!!!

Although we've chose the option to pay at the hotel, our card was charged. The hotel personnel explained to us that the booking was made by expedia and they always charge the card that is given at booking.
Otherwise it was a fine experience.

Good hotel in a good area of town. Close to mall. Rooms are clean and nice.

Only issue we had was at breakfast getting the staff to take an order. They show that you can order eggs as you wish, but the girl kept ignoring our glances and when we finally got her, she seemed surprised that I could order eggs, even though it clearly said so on the card sitting on the table. It was resolved and they brought me a huge omelette, so all ended well. Just surprised that the one person handling the breakfast room knew so little about breakfast.

This is the must-stay place for mid-range travelers in Chisinau. It is nicer than a lot of the Best Westerns I've stayed at in the USA. Area is a little rundown, but this is not the hotel's fault -- Chisinau is an ambitious work-in-progress. Within walking distance of anything you could need or want. Only very minor complaint is that the treadmill in the gym is not working -- otherwise the gym was nice. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Not sure if I will be back in Moldova again but if I am, I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Nice place to relax & recharge

I booked a stay here to rest & recharge between Ukraine & Austria. Moldova is Europe's poorest country so I did not expect a lot. The hotel however was very nice. Room was spacious & clean. Breakfast was nice. I ended up having dinner in the restaurant 2 times & again it was no problem at all, also with room charging.
I had dry cleaning & ironing done & the results were fantastic. Nice & neatly stored in the closet when I returned to the hotel.
All in all I recommend this hotel easily to anyone else looking for somewhere to stay.

Comfortable hotel, with good access to city

Spent a pleasant few days at the hotel, which had friendly staff, and amazingly comfortable facilities. Breakfast was fresh each morning, and the restaurant served any requests very quickly throughout the day. The exterior lounge offered a very pleasant ambiance to dine or have a drink in the evening. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, with very good access to the rest of city, including a 15 minute walk to the shopping center MallDOVA.

I booked a suite as my room to have meeting space for a 4-person weekend meeting, and it worked out really well. (the other guys were in rooms with 2 single beds, or 1 single bed, and their rooms were fine, too) The full breakfast is nice. The immediate neighborhood isn't very well lit and has a lot of construction, but the hotel's location is very convenient and just a few blocks from money changing booths, small markets for snacks, and restaurants, incl a varied menu at Andy's Pizza. It wasn't a great bargain by Moldovan prices but reasonable for a western business-style hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Forget what you might know about Best Western

Best Western in the States is a mid-level comfortable motel, I think. This facility is really a four-star place. Sure it's design interior isn't my exact taste in that modern minimalist sense, but what they do they do well. I didn't give the staff and excellent rating because some are excellent and some are good, largely new people who don't want to screw anything up, I think.

The only thing about the hotel is that while its proximate to the railroad station (if you come in that way) it's not really close to the most interesting bits of the centre. The bus service is fine though and virtually free.

Nice hotel in not so pleasant location

The hotel was located in a slightly run down part of Chisinau, mainly as buildings around it were in the process of delayed demolition or slow construction, it was hard to tell. However, although the streets were very dark around the hotel at night it did seem safe. Kiosks, restaurants and bars were all within 5 minutes walk, and the sites of Chisinau, such as there are, were all within about 15 minutes walk, as were a couple of nicer bars and restaurants up near the main theatre building.

The staff were all helpful, spoke good English and were friendly. The hotel bar was fine although a little small, the restaurant supplied a filling breakfast, and the on site tourist office very helpful in arranging trips to Transnistria, and had we had time the various wineries.

Overall I would recommend the hotel, but they really are impacted visually by the immediate surrounding buildings (noise from works was actually negligible), although this is beyond their control. Just don't expect a view from your room.

Overall the stay was fine. I did notice under the carpet in room 204 where there was a groove in the floor that was about 2\" deep and went for about ten feet. This was apparently due to a lack of attention to detail when the building was renovated. I steped in the groove and realized the room was not finished.

Hard to Find, but Very Comfortable

Overall the hotel itself felt clean and comfortable. The room was huge. The breakfast was good and the parking was convenient. and I would stay here again. On the downside, the curtain on the window needed to stay shut, due to an ugly (but quiet) construction project adjacent. We needed to ask directions despite knowing the street address and the walk to restaurants nearby was a little sketchy at night. But we did it.

The location is not very nice; a bit far away from the center. There is a big construction site next to the hotel. Breakfast ok, not very special. Reception staff seemed to suffer from lack of motivation. Nice summer terrace. Very small roo + small balcony.

Excellent hotel and stay, not the best of areas of Chisinau. Get taxis as they are cheap and safe. Make sure they are genuine taxis rather than somebodies friend who has a car. I requested a taxi at reception and a battered past its best car and driver arrived. Good indicators for a genuine taxi are taxi sign and company livery. You may also obtain a receipt.

A serene oasis in Chisinau

The hotel staff were amazing. There was a mix up with my reservation, but they sorted it out quickly and were very nice about the whole thing. On top of that, they even upgraded me. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very clean, nice bed, strong wifi, tv, etc... The location of the hotel is on a quiet side street, but it is less than five minutes walk from one of the major cross streets of Chisinau's downtown, very convenient. I would definitely return to this hotel on a future trip to Chisinau.

I've stayed in many hotels in Chisinau over the years and this is by far the best. Everything was as it should be - comfortable, clean, extremely helpful staff! The location of the hotel, admittedly is a bit off-putting, though it is very close to the center. And of course there are the barking dogs which plague the country. Nevertheless, it is a great hotel. Book on-line as the prices for walk-ins are much higher.

We weren't sure that a four star in Moldova would actually be a four star but it was. gorgeous rooms, reception and bar area. five minutes walk to the main street. staff arranged taxis and tours within minutes - even a tour to transnistiria with five minutes notice. Loved it. We had a great time.

The hotel suffers from the location. Chisinau is not the centre of the universe and thus the whole experience reflects on the hotel.

This said, it does the job well. I would consider it a three star hotel in a two star location!

Helpful staff, clean rooms, nicely appointed for its class and excellent value for money - good job!

If you really must go to Chisinau - stay at the Flowers.

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend for 2 nights and it was awesome. The room was great, very nice new furniture, very stylish, clean and nice bathroom. Hotel staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. We asked for champagne glasses and within 2 minutes a guy from the reception was at our door with the glasses.

There is a nice selection of pillows you can request for a good night sleep. The parking is free and pretty safe. Although the neighborhood is not that appealing (the hotel is located between some blocks of flats), it is close to the city center and the Mall.

The included breakfast was amazing. A good variety to chose from and very tasty.

This is definitely one of the best hotels in Chisinau, and unlike other 4* hotels here, this one is surely 4*. Totally recommend it!!

Excellent hotel great location

This is a not of the line hotel with one of the best locations in the city. The staff is amazing and ready to help 24 hours a day. The breakfast that is included with you stay is a full buffet and caters to any tastes. The room had ever feature one could ask for and both free DSL and wifi.

Eveything was top notch. It is difficult to find the first time. Took local bus from the airport to general vicinity. Even though I saw sign to hotel, still had to ask young school girl to walk me there. But once you get the layout, it was a snap. My wireless didn't work at first, but they immediately provided me with another device that got me online. Ate one dinner there, and the food was solid. Breakfast was very good too. Good location in that you are right in the middle of everything, shopping, museums, converts halls, outdoor markets, and parks. Would stay again. Found the staff very professional and accomodating.

Better than expected - not the safest feeling area

Decent enough hotel - better than other Best Western hotels I've used. No complaints - staff were reasonably friendly and helpful and it was easy to arrange airport pick up. Location is fairly central. Unfortunately the hotel's street has little to no street lighting, so while I had no problems walking back, some might not feel safe after dark. However taxis in the city are very cheap.

Room was certainly up to 4* standard, immaculate, with large TV incl. English, French, German, Russian channels. Room was at rear of hotel so very quiet but with a view of
uncompleted tower blocks - rooms at front would be better.
Public rooms very clean and modern.
For security (I arrived airport 01.00) I arranged in advance for the hotel driver to pick me up
(Euro 20), very efficient. Going back they called me a taxi (Euro 10).
Desk very helpful, with good English, they arranged a private city tour at short notice
(Euro 60 for 3 hours). Guide Laurencia (sp?) excellent, with near perfect English .

Great hotel in the heart of Chisinau

This hotel was an excellent choice! It's a bit hard to find (located behind some of the many abandoned buildings in the city). yet, this is a safe, residential neighborhood, walking distance to the main thoroughfare. And walking distance from the train station. The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean, and big enough for two people (I stayed with a friend), with free Wi-Fi, and everything else you'd need. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a lot to choose from. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. Just to add one thing, one of the front desk staff waited with us outside until our cab came. He didn't have to do it. But it is good to know that the hotel management and staff care about their guests. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel saved my sanity and allowed me to be well rested for the challenging work I was doing in Moldova. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, including making breakfast bags for us when we had to leave at 5:30 a.m., before the breakfast bar opened. I believe this is the only western chain hotel in the entire country. The neighborhood is downtown Chisinau - feels more like Delhi than Budapest. Don't be foolish - don't walk around at night and don't advertise that you're not Moldovan. Staff all spoke conversant English and were very sweet. I will stay here on all my future trips to Chisinau and would recommend it to anyone!

The hotel is to expected standards and absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just the location behind some dodgy in-construction sites make it very unpleasant. Taxis are dirt cheap though (compared to London) so if one does not mind getting around in cabs, the hotel is fine. Not the best breakfast though, it can be improved quality and quantity-wise.

Very nice and large room. Large bathroom and it has a tub. The bed is pretty comfortable but would ask for an extra sheet as the one they provide is quite small and can not be tucked in. Has plenty of room to hang stuff and put clothes in drawers or if you prefer on the sides as there are several raised platforms. Hotel Ethernet is significantly faster than the wireless so would plug in if you can, speeds of 70mb down and 50 up but only about 2mb using the wireless.

The hotel staff are very helpful and all speak very good English

They now have a fancy coffee machine in the breakfast room and opened up a really nice patio out side that is very comfortable. Hotel is 2 blocks away from Stefan cel Mare and so you can take any bus up the street to see any of the sites. Buses cost 2 lei or about 15 cents.

You can order pretty much any item even if it is not on the bar. They have improved the breakfast since I was there in Oct 2011. All in all a great place to stay in Chisinau

I'm not a business person but...

I like the hotel. You could tell that this hotel is for business people since that is who walked in and out of the hotel, but I was by myself and found the hotel just fine. Here is a couple of things to know. The gentlemen at the desk are lovely and helpful. The hotel is right next to a building that looks like it will never get finished so if you are going solo just be careful at night. It's not that close to everything you have to walk a bit. There are very few dogs running around the city in case that was a concern. If you are comfortable taking the maxi taxis they all line up a block away from the hotel.

As for the hotel, the channels aren't all that, maybe 15 channels in total but they did have free Wifi.

Best business hotel in Moldova

Probably the best hotel in Moldova! It is a new facility with nice rooms and friendly staff.
I've being in Moldova a few times but it is the first time when I found a western style hotel to stay in. The price is comparable to other local hotels but the quality is much much better.

Great value and convenient location

This is my second stay and I am very pleased with this hotel. It was recently rennovated, the staff is very professional, friendly and helpful, the breakfast is included and very good, the rooms are a good size, the restaurant is good and prices are very reasonable, and the location is very near the center of town. I really really like this hotel.

Good choice

This hotel was just renovated, so it's in very nice condition. The hotel breakfast was quite good, with excellent , friendly service. There is a small fitness room on the 6th floor with a sauna. Free WIFI and complimentary coffee/rea in the room. Neighborhood is pretty drab. The hotel is located on a somewhat hard to find back street behind the vacant National hotel. The area seems very safe, however, and walkable. This is probably the best hotel bet in Chisinau at this point.

Hotel Flowers - 4 star is too much

This hotel can not be 4 star, unless moldovian authorities do not comply to european hotel standards. Breakfast is very poor for 4 star hotel and personal even if they were eager to help you and were polite to me still behavor was not very professinal. After 9 p.m. you can not eat in hotel, just beacause kitchen is not working. Still you have some restaurants around. Bad thing very few of them which have non smoking area. All toghether it is ok, but for prices which they clame I would say they need to get some good things in place.

The hotel is in a side street with broken pavements and little street lighting at night (torch is advisable). At first sight I thought it was closed: completely covered in scaffolding and green netting. It was open. I asked about the building works which had not been mentioned in advance and was told they were quiet. This was not true. Hammering and drilling started at 7.30 and continued till 8 pm or later. A roof was being put on. It was too noisy to relax inside the hotel.

Because of the netting, the room was very dark and because of the scaffolding it was not safe to open the windows, making it very stuffy. Rubbish was left on the scaffolding planks outside the window. The very large room itself was attractive with a high ceiling and big armchairs. The bathroom was excellent but directly overseen by a building site next door (building a block of flats). The TV had 55 channels, none in English. There were few other guests.

However, breakfast was good and staff helpful.

The hotel was expensive for Chisinau and this experience was very disappointing: I deliberately went upmarket and could have done better at one of the cheap ex-communist concrete block hotels. However, it will be a good place to stay when the work in the hotel, and next door, are completed.
