The rooms looked and felt modern and new to me. You could find USB charging ports and LED lights on the bathroom mirror. Besides the modern amenities, the room itself was spacious, with a large round bath tub as well as separate area for shower and toilet.

Breakfast served was buffet with both Western and Chinese food like congee and dumplings that you would get in most hotels in China.

Now for the area of improvement - My only complaint was the lounge. We had opted to buy the lounge package (Royal Royalty King room) that included access to the lounge during our stay, Having been to a lounge in Hong Kong, I was really surprised the lounge was just another room that looked like a restaurant than a lounge. There were tables and chairs but no comfortable sofas and space that you would expect from a proper lounge. Even the food choice was bad. You only got a tiramisu or strawberry (bite-sized) cakes and slices of watermelons and dragon fruits and that's all. Drinks were self-served from a coffee machine or from tea bags, or u could get a can of coke or a lager from the fridge. There was a bar that had no one.

Overall, I think this hotel is worth your money if you need to stay in the area. The staff service was exceptional. I am a Hard Rock pin collector and before I booked the hotel I asked if they would sell any pins there and they not only answered my query but also went to take and sent me pictures of the pins available. I think this was definitely above and beyond.

Terrible hotel experience

The worst executive lounge I've ever experienced, and I've been to many. They only served a few cookies, bread and peanuts. We had to ask to get additional food, which they provided only after asking, and then it took more than an hour to get it. Also, the following day, after I had ordered room service, someone came into my room while I was away at breakfast, even though I had the \"do not disturb\" sign on, and took out what was left of my room service meal. They came into my room without asking while I was gone. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

I had a pleasant stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in Shenzhen. Firstly, I like the cyber atmosphere and unique rock-themed style which created an exciting feeling. Secondly, the staffs were exceptionally helpful and willing to answer my enquiries, guiding my family how to go to the sport centre nearby. However, I was disappointed with the limited dining options available on-site, which are too expensive for me, which made me had to walk about 5 minutes to dining in the nearby shopping mall. In general speaking, it was a memorable stay, but improvements in dining variety would enhance the experience.

the hair dryer has poor connectivity and sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. The room is reasonably clean, but a bit old. I am staying here with my family, and we have four rooms in total. Three of them have executive privileges, but when the staff found out one of our room numbers, they said we couldn't enter. They probably didn’t check properly. The hotel pool is extremely small, overcrowded with too many children, making it very cramped. This hotel seems to be a mid-range establishment, but the size of the pool is unbelievably small. Not recommend.

Great, if a little too warm, Hotel

Love this hotel, always nice service and some of the best rooms in the city for this price. It's a little out there but easy to get to on line 4. First room on this particular stay was far too warm - temp only going down to 26 - but after two people checking it they gladly moved our room just down the hall. The second room was much cooler. Cafe was open and the food was excellent, too.

This place is perfect! Swimming and live music in the hotel. Ice skating, trampoline park, cinema, and bowling at the mall directly across the street...a great get-away for our family! The room was beautiful, spaciuos, and comfortable. We'll be back!

The only way to tell is you can go visit yourself. I will definitely go back to this hotel its super beautiful clean and great great great location. Breakfast is the best I have had in my last 20 years travelling to China. Nice local food opposite the hotel across the road inside a decent shopping mall. Mission Hill golf is next door so it is perfect for business and pleasure.

Check in, front desk people did not speak English. Attitude was not friendly. Asked for a quiet room on a high floor, got a room on a low floor that was extremely loud because of street construction and noise from performances at the mall across the street. Asked again for a quiet room on a high floor, got it. The smell if this hotel is nauseating. The breakfast at this hotel is like a Hampton Inn. I will absolutely never come back to this hotel again as long as I live. Am puzzled by the good reviews for this hotel.

Enjoyed using the gym and rooftop pool to get some exercise and beat jetlag and MH mall is only steps away with lots of restaurants and other entertaining things to keep me busy in the evenings even though I travel solo.

MH mall is just opposite the hotel, many popular restaurants and lots to play.

About the hotel room, the only negative side is that you can see through the toilet even if you have closed the toilet door. If someone is taking a bath, the other one outside the toilet can see it. Not convenient if you are coming with friends.

Hands on hotel manager handing out easter bunnies to kids at check-in, also there to meet and greet guests at breakfast and helped cleaned tables during busy times. Fun easter activities that the kids enjoyed very much. Room is clean, breakfast good variety, and guitar lending service is a nice perk. Only downside is pool opens for a short time from 11am-8pm. MH mall across the street is also good fun with lots of food options. Would love to see a traffic light installed between hotel and mall as its a little dangerous to cross the road with lots of heavy trucks passing thru. Will not hesitate to stay again next time.

Bad- the wiring is messed up. The room light could not be switched off. It took 2 hours for house keeping to fix it by.., taking the light bulb out!

Ugly - the shuttle bus of Mission Hills did not stop. There were two guests at the lobby who had waited for 20 min. The shuttle did not stop to pick guests. The staff at the ground floor did not know the phone number of Mission Hills to request for a shuttle service. Many guests stay there because of golf. The shuttle service supposed to be bread and butter service but it was messed up...

The Hard Rock Hotel is a really great choice if you are heading out to Mission Hills. The mall across the street has a bowling alley and a movie theatre, as well as many shops and restaurants. The Hard Rock Cafe in the hotel was a fun place to be on Friday and Saturday night with live music and great ambiance. There's not too much else to do in the area if you are not a golfer, but it was a good place to be for the weekend if you're looking for a relaxing time.

Hotel rooms are large, toilet is very spacious. Everything is very new and comfortable. It's a bit far from city centre and takes about 45 minutes by taxi but I would recommend it if you want to just have a relaxing trip to just chill.

Lack of shower gel and shampoos during the first two nights but it was alright. Layout of charging area for coffee maker, computer and phone is strange. I have to use computer area for boiling of water. Some of the lighting are not working well, switch off by itself.

Nice and comfortable! Great staffs ! I was at the level 21 lounge and this service staff ms Zheng , she is cool and friendly. Very attentivate and accommodating . Was plus point next to a huge mall. The level 1 Hard Rock Cafe food was delicious with the range of cocktail to go with ! The live band I can only say one word “ Wow “ !

Stayed 2 nights. The second night I opted for the bigger room, but probably wouldn’t have in hindsight. It would be great for entertaining, however, but we were not. Basically was paying for more square footage.

The hotel staff seems a little green. There was no baggage service or doorman to speak of (once was the door opened for us during our stay, and no offer to take our luggage at all). This being a ‘Western’ company, I was surprised to see how that the staff was not thoroughly bi-lingual (English).

The pool closes very early, and the bar near the pool seemed to be closed and dusty. Even if it wasn’t peak season, I’d like to have seen someone around. The pool attendant looked like he’d been napping. And it’s a rather small pool.

For what I paid, I can look past these things. Great deal! This is probably because it is very far from the city center. Although, there is a very large shopping center across the road, and plenty of entertainment nearby.

We had more business in Shenzhen, and despite the distance, the price was too good to pass up, so we chose this hotel again for a second visit. The highlight was the amazing breakfast spread! Along with being considerably cheaper than other hotels, roominess, and the breakfast we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Good times at the Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen

I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen with my wife, and two young children (1 and 3 years old). The overall stay was fantastic. The service was great and the staff was kind, friendly and polite. My children enjoyed playing in the kids area and swimming in the pool. My family and I will definitely visit the hotel again!

Excellent service from all staff at hotel. Room was a little narrow but it was clean and comfortable. There was a mini filter coffee machine in the room which was a pleasant surprise, there were even several take away cups for this. Very thoughtful. On top of this, the break area beside the reception offers self service coffee and warm milk. There were several types of coffee as well. Very impressed with service at this hotel, will definitely stay here again. Thank you all staff!

We were surprised to find out that the hotel had upgraded our room to a suite. It was such a nice treat for our anniversary. We also got a complimentary cake from the hotel. The room was filled with a sweet aroma and background music as we entered the room. We loved how spacious the room was and how the hotel staff decorated the bed with cute towel swans and fake flower petals. We would definitely come back for another chillaxing weekend. Thank you Hard Rock for making our anniversary extra special.
