Really liked this hotel. I didn’t get to go to the casino but overall it was nice. You can tell this hotel has a lot of history and enjoyed staying here. The only negative thing is that it’s smelled like cigarettes and there was no house keeping in the mornings for fresh towels. I’d still like to stay here again though.

We stayed because it it close to a new concert venue. Hotel staff was very nice, property was clean. If you plan to eat, make a reservation. There is no shuttle like other casinos, so pay for ride share if you want to have a good time and not drive. Our shower was amazingly hot and it was hard to get thw temp down and it creeps back up when you have it set.

Construction outside. Very little signage, no idea where the casinos actually were. Desk staff would not let me check in bc the room was in my husband’s name but had my card on file. No shuttle to the amphitheater. Very smoky smelling. Room was very hot and humid, I set the temp to 64 and it wouldn’t move past 73.

We went to KC to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel rooms are in serious need of renovation, repair and cleaning. We had to move more than twice to a better room. We were first assigned to room 518, then 711 both were horrific and uninhabitable and finally room 815. There was thick white dust in areas. Furniture and desk were broken and busted in all rooms. Dirt, filth, hair and stains. The upholstery around the beds were falling off the frame. Sheets stained and brown staining around the air vents. Carpet was sticky. Ice box shelves broken and not cold. Mirror in the restroom cracked. Toilet seat broken. Wallpaper peeling off the wall. In the community vending area the ice machine coming apart with rust and corrosion very visible. Never experienced such dismay. Needless to say, we had to purchase a $30 bed protector in order to achieve some sort of sleep. We also had to buy disinfected spray/wipes to clean the room ourselves. We communicated/shared these findings with the front desk. They were not surprised and unbothered, they just moved us to multiple rooms. There is an undeniable stink/odor in the hallways. We do have pictures and documentation. We have stayed at the Argosy years ago and it was great, and now it is a shell if its former self. At our departure no one asked how was our stay? It's lackluster.

Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, clean property. Bed was very comfortable and the dual head shower with a built in bench seat was great! I loved that the bathroom area had dimmers on the lights! (Wish they would of had dimmers on the bedside lights too but the BR lighting options were def impressive)
Staff was welcoming, engaging and accommodating.
Restaurants were ok. Wish the “steak house” was actually a steak house. If you can’t/don’t eat seafood, Asian foods or like spicy foods then there isn’t much to choose from but salads.
The only critique I would give is to have better pillows in the room instead of the feather kind that give no neck support
For the first time I really enjoyed playing at a casino. I didn’t win huge but I wasn’t expecting too. However, I won enough to play and fun for 4 hours the night we stayed and another 4 hours in the morning before leaving and that made my day! :)
Overall, it was a good experience, I would definetly return and definitely recommend to others.

Didn’t entirely feel clean, and felt that room had been smoked in frequently. Desk had dust covering glass. Woke up several times over the night with sinus drainage that cleared up after I left the property. It was a perfect location for me, and was relatively inexpensive. I did feel safe.

The Argosy was nice enough for the price. The room itself was in need of an updated decor from the curtains to the carpet and various items in between. The mattress replacement should be first on the list! The hotel staff was professional and efficient. The older gentleman that was serving in the restaurant by the lobby on June 10th was great. He is a keeper! The two young hostesses could use more training. I will stay again because the location is in perfect proximity to the new Morton Amphitheater. I hope there will be a new influx of travelers that stay at the Argosy to go to all of the future concerts and those additional bookings allow for upgrades to the rooms.

Arrived at 6pm check-in was at 4. Did not have our room ready, we had to wait for hour. And then we went to our room, and was it was occupied by another traveler. Went back to front desk to get another room and we had to wait for manager to authorize a new room. I complained about how this was unacceptable, they gave me $10 comp at the restaurant. Overall, a very nice place to stay but underwhelming service and mismanaged staff

Just remember you have to pay 50 dollars at check in for deposit and don't get it back right away after check out and 12 dollars for taxes at the checked in as well. And they don't inform you that you have to wait any where from 1 day to 35 days for refund of deposit

The Sportsbook bar/grill was terrible. We tried to eat there 3 times during the evening and the tables were dirty everytime. It was a seat yourself restaurant but every table was dirty and the lady working the bar was absolutely the rudest individual I have ever spoke too.

We had to pay $12 for resort fees - even though there is noting “resort” related. We didn’t use the casino at all, or the spa..only there for one night. When we got to our room, there was no toilet paper, the floor was wet, the counters and nightstands were still covered in cup rings and not wiped down. Sink wouldn’t drain and The towel rack was broken and the pillows on one of the beds were throw pillow size and they had to basically fold the case in so it would fit. Very uncomfortable. For the amount we paid for one night…we expected a little better.

There was a low battery message on air conditioning thermostat and it kept turning on when, it was supposed to be off. The hallway smelled of nothing but smoke. The room wasn't cleaned very well

Room had blood and vomit on the walls and doors. Toilet wouldn't flush. Makeup and eyeliner shavings in the sink. Dirty towel in shower. Just overall not clean. Can tell they hit the high spots and thats it. They asked if we just wanted to stay in the room, told them absolutely not with blood present. They finally moved us to another room. We were booked 3 nights but when we asked the housekeeper for clean towels she said she'd give us some. We didn't get any and when we called the front desk about it, they informed us that no cleaning services were done to rooms with multiple days booked, which meant no clean towels available. They did eventually send some up via robot. For what we paid per night...absolutely not worth it.

The Casino was great, except it wasn’t easy to get anything to drink. Our room was nice except I could write my name in the dust on the furniture, the bathroom sink had a problem draining and there was mold in the shower in the corners and along the bottom of the glass. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned or refreshed in any way. We will play in Casino again but will probably not stay in the hotel again.

Great location and the building is in really nice shape. Lobby area decor is really nice. Staff was friendly during check in. Found a lot of hair in the bathroom, the sink drained very slowly and there were no tissues. I alerted the staff the next day. When I came back later the drain was fixed but that was it.
The casino is great, plenty of games and space, decent food options and the prices are very reasonable.

If I could give them zero stars, I would do so without hesitation.

I reached out via email beforehand to inquire about an early check-in. I have stayed at hotels in Italy, Greece, and various other European destinations. They responded promptly. However, I never received any reply.

I submitted a review through Travelocity, and they forwarded my complaints on my first day, yet I never heard back from anyone.

PRO:
✔️ The male barista at the café was truly exceptional.
✔️ The two cashiers at the Lotus restaurant were fantastic. An older lady with a cast on her arm and a young man in his early twenties.
✔️ The delivery guy from the Lotus restaurant was great.
✔️ The bathroom shower was absolutely wonderful.

CON:
🚫 The hotel itself reeked of cigarette smoke.
🚫 Upon entering the room, I found the bed sheets stained with mascara, lipstick, and other revolting🤮🤢 substances. When I arrived in the room.
🚫 The front desk attendant insisted I remove the dirty sheets from the bed and place them in the hallway. Then she handed me new sheets and expected me to remake the bed, but eventually changed my room instead.
❌️ I had to switch to a different room three times.
✖️ It took 45 minutes for the front desk to respond the first time, and this was already at 10:30 p.m.
❎️ I called the hotel thinking I had left something in the room. The front desk transferred me to housekeeping. I called housekeeping three times with no answer.
✖️ I left a message requesting a callb

I initiated this review based on Expedia asking how my check in was. We checked in, late evening (just after 10pm). Went to our assigned room (after being asked if we really needed a double bed room - yes, that's what I requested/reserved). That room, upon opening, had someones suitcases present and it was obvious someone staying there. Thank goodness we were not walking into someones room. Back to checkin, they apologized got us a new room, but the whole time we are questioning security here, safety, etc but also stuck as we were here with thousanda across the city for a huge volleyball tournament (with kids) - and had no interest in the casino offerings, just a clean bed and bath. The hotel offered very little in regards to apology and 'said' upon checkout they waived the resort fee. But the price I paid was exactly the expedia agreed price. Because we were with other teammates, we did not move, but I couldn't recommend staying here unless you are here for the casino, which is not us.

We enjoyed our stay at the Argosy Casino & Hotel. The room was very clean, the sheets smelled super clean & the bathroom was massive. The in-room coffee was kind of lacking. We caught a maid & got coffee for day 2, but the coffee packet didn’t include cream or sweetener. ☹️ The primary restaurant was excellent, we sat at the bar & the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

It was nice, clean and the staff was pretty friendly. We stayed there because we went to a convention. Our issue was that we had my niece with us. She is 20 years old. One of the restaurants that we wanted to go to, you had to go through the casino, so, we were unable to go. Why they don't have a door to get in outside of the casino is beyond me. Other than that, it was fine.
