Overall good stay. Very helpful staff and casino was nice (minus the smoking part), cafe was nice, gym was okay, but needed updating and mirrors added in front of treadmills so you knew who was coming in behind you. Rooms were spacious, needed a little more attention to cleaning, but overall not a bad stay.

Room was nice even though showing signs of age. First night we stayed there was a smoke smell from the casino throughout the hotel including our room. Second night, which was a Sunday night the smoke was more contained in the casino area, and our room actually had a pleasant odor.

There is no housekeeping unless you are in the room. The only deliveries to the room is via robot. No in room dining. Rooms were not that clean. Not convenient to downtown. Casino was great and casino restaurants were great. The hotel needs to step it up.

Parking garage is on the other end from hotel. So if you want to park in the garage you will have to walk to the other end of the building to reach the hotel area.

The Casino was great, except it wasn’t easy to get anything to drink. Our room was nice except I could write my name in the dust on the furniture, the bathroom sink had a problem draining and there was mold in the shower in the corners and along the bottom of the glass. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned or refreshed in any way. We will play in Casino again but will probably not stay in the hotel again.

Great location and the building is in really nice shape. Lobby area decor is really nice. Staff was friendly during check in. Found a lot of hair in the bathroom, the sink drained very slowly and there were no tissues. I alerted the staff the next day. When I came back later the drain was fixed but that was it.
The casino is great, plenty of games and space, decent food options and the prices are very reasonable.

The hotel/casino is not a clean place. They don’t have staff for maid service. I had to go down to the lobby to get any extra blankets or towels for the next day. The restaurants were slow and expensive. This was not the experience I was expecting.

DO NOT STAY HERE

If I could give them zero stars, I would do so without hesitation.

I reached out via email beforehand to inquire about an early check-in. I have stayed at hotels in Italy, Greece, and various other European destinations. They responded promptly. However, I never received any reply.

I submitted a review through Travelocity, and they forwarded my complaints on my first day, yet I never heard back from anyone.

PRO:
✔️ The male barista at the café was truly exceptional.
✔️ The two cashiers at the Lotus restaurant were fantastic. An older lady with a cast on her arm and a young man in his early twenties.
✔️ The delivery guy from the Lotus restaurant was great.
✔️ The bathroom shower was absolutely wonderful.

CON:
🚫 The hotel itself reeked of cigarette smoke.
🚫 Upon entering the room, I found the bed sheets stained with mascara, lipstick, and other revolting🤮🤢 substances. When I arrived in the room.
🚫 The front desk attendant insisted I remove the dirty sheets from the bed and place them in the hallway. Then she handed me new sheets and expected me to remake the bed, but eventually changed my room instead.
❌️ I had to switch to a different room three times.
✖️ It took 45 minutes for the front desk to respond the first time, and this was already at 10:30 p.m.
❎️ I called the hotel thinking I had left something in the room. The front desk transferred me to housekeeping. I called housekeeping three times with no answer.
✖️ I left a message requesting a callb

I initiated this review based on Expedia asking how my check in was. We checked in, late evening (just after 10pm). Went to our assigned room (after being asked if we really needed a double bed room - yes, that's what I requested/reserved). That room, upon opening, had someones suitcases present and it was obvious someone staying there. Thank goodness we were not walking into someones room. Back to checkin, they apologized got us a new room, but the whole time we are questioning security here, safety, etc but also stuck as we were here with thousanda across the city for a huge volleyball tournament (with kids) - and had no interest in the casino offerings, just a clean bed and bath. The hotel offered very little in regards to apology and 'said' upon checkout they waived the resort fee. But the price I paid was exactly the expedia agreed price. Because we were with other teammates, we did not move, but I couldn't recommend staying here unless you are here for the casino, which is not us.

We enjoyed our stay at the Argosy Casino & Hotel. The room was very clean, the sheets smelled super clean & the bathroom was massive. The in-room coffee was kind of lacking. We caught a maid & got coffee for day 2, but the coffee packet didn’t include cream or sweetener. ☹️ The primary restaurant was excellent, we sat at the bar & the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

It was nice, clean and the staff was pretty friendly. We stayed there because we went to a convention. Our issue was that we had my niece with us. She is 20 years old. One of the restaurants that we wanted to go to, you had to go through the casino, so, we were unable to go. Why they don't have a door to get in outside of the casino is beyond me. Other than that, it was fine.

Room was dirty. Staff rude. Bed frame was larger than the bed. Bathroom had someone else’s used soap in the shower and mirror was not cleaned, dusty room including bathroom. Room smelled like cigarette smoke badly and all of our things then smelled like stale smoke-even our luggage. We won’t stay here again or recommend this hotel. Pretty poor hotel for spending $260 for one night. Highly disappointed!

The shower was super loud. Definitely air in the plumbing caused a super loud and awakening noise when my wife woke up and decided to shower well before I was planning to be up. Sent a video to the hotel, but no response. Mentioned it to the check in ladies as well. Unsure how interested they were in fixing it.

I loved how my room had a doorbell. The shower was the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The floor to ceiling windows gave luxury but my view was of the Super 8 sign. Overall I would stay here again, I’d just hope that housekeeping would actually clean my room next time.

Polite attraction inside but very uncomfortable outside and around this hotel. I stayed for my birthday for two days and it seems they were happy with taken care of me instead of allowing me to be at a resort, although it cost me resort fees. Will consider booking at a super 8 across from the argosy next time and they may have a pool, thanks.

Oh, and moldy bag of Tamalies in the mini fridge, which was warm.
Carpet needed vaccuumed.
But... THAT shower was amazing!
Dining was ok.
Hit 4 of a kind at the heads up hold em so theres that.
Morning coffee was $8 and change... whew.
$12 amnenities charge. Includes 2 small bottles of water and one coffee pod. Another... whew.
Felt nickel and dimed.
Will we go back. Think we'll check out other options.

We checked in early and they had no problems with that. Then we went in to the casino and notice all the restaurants. Great!! Played machines. Then decided to eat at 7:30PM. Of the 7 or 8 restaurants only 1 was open.
It was an expensive restaurant that the cheapest meal was a burger for $25!!! Steaks up to $80. Sat at the bar for 5 minutes and couldn't get waited on. The bartender was rude.

The front desk told us that on Mondays and Tuesdays the restaurants close down early. Why didn't they tell us that up front?

We went to bed without eating a bit!!!

Never will I go to that place again. Oh yes, 5 AM morning our coffee pot doesn't work. They have no coffee at the front and they do NOT serve any kind of breakfast. Why didn't anyone tell us about that!!!

Poor poor hotel. Never again!

I suggest checking sheet conditions and letting Staff know if there are issues. I stayed on 3/3/26 and noticed stains on the sheets.
Through the week, the bars and restaurants close pretty early.
Overall my stay was meh. Probably won’t go back.

I was impressed with the property as soon as we arrived. It was well lit, and easy to find close parking. The attendants at the front desk were quick, friendly, and helpful. Nice, spacious room, super clean bathroom with a fantastic shower. Our only complaint was that the sheets were a smidge scratchy.
