All the staff were charming and the position by the beach was perfect. Our room had some minor maintenance issues but the main disappointment was the restaurant. Every morning we had to ask for the fruit container to be refilled and smoke from the pizza oven made sitting on the beach in the afternoon uncomfortable.

The extra touch with fresh flowers is welcoming.

As a budget traveler this was a splurge for me.Perhaps my expectations were too high. Positives: my room was comfortable and clean and the hotel itself is beautiful and in a good location, walking distance to nice beaches, the port, many restaurants nearby. Negatives: My room was not available at check-in time I had to wait 1 hour. Many signs about how much you have to pay for a late check out but no compensation for having to check in late.The hook in the bathroom was missing, which meant there was no place to hang wet towels probably why the previous guests hung their wet towels in the closet on a hangar which is where I found the previous guests towels. There's a small beach in front of the hotel with lounge chairs that I was told you had to pay to rent but they told me they weren't renting at the moment. No explanation as to why and there were plenty available.The front desk told me the chairs were free for hotel guests, so?The lounge chairs at the pool did not have cushions, no pool or beach towels were provided. I inquired about the advertised sunset Cruise and the woman at the desk told me that wasn't her area and I should check back tomorrow. My biggest issue is that there was $150 hold placed on my card which the desk had no explanation for and I was not informed. They said it wasn't from them when it clearly was, I called my bank to confirm and it was indeed from them. I may have to dispute the charge.Overall, beautiful, good location, uninformed staff, no amenities

The place is really nice, with beach access and restaurant. A couple of things for other travelers to keep in mind - the place is generally peaceful and tranquil yet when a cruise ship is in town (every other day) expect crowds of people, some of them obnoxiously drunk :) otherwise, the room was spotless and staff very friendly.

Perfectly located between Almond Plaza and Princess Margaret beach with lots of restaurants along narrow Belmont walkway. They make no accommodation for Early check in on Public holidays when there are only morning and evening ferry and charge $10/hr. Breakfast is ok also the charge $6 for bottle of water (without informing).Beach is small but nice and Princess Margret is just 7 min walk. The restaurant is quite boring.

Overall the service was very slow and lackadaisical throughout the stay. We've stayed on many Caribbean islands and very much enjoy a slower pace... this was not a slower pace, this was completely disorganized and lacking any effort. Holiday Inn has 5 star service in comparison to the service here
5. INCIDENT - There are friendly communal dogs and cats around the island. One morning during breakfast a random guy stabbed a dog on the beach near the hotel restaurant. We and other guests spent a few hours trying to help the injured dog - called the police, the local vet, crawled under a deck to provide food and water. A staff member made sure to let us know that it happened on the beach and not their responsibility, and that they could do nothing about it. Several guests of the property spent hours to help the injured dog (on hotel property), without any apparent interest or assistance from hotel staff. One staff member made sure to tell me that I should not have used the hotel ice bucket to give the bleeding dog water. Apparently the ice bucket was too important to take outside.

The beach is beautiful, and I would’ve considered returning if the staff were friendlier. They weren’t rude, but they weren’t inviting. Things were VERY limited. Not enough beach towels…we left ours the night before by the hut and those were the same ones going to be washed when we asked at 10am that morning. ONLY one type of juice offered at breakfast, they had no prosecco 3/4 nights we stayed. One day, they even ran out of Coke. Has potential, but not there yet!

Location excellent with nice beach, short walk to other bars/restuarants, town and ferries. Princess Margaret and lower beach unspoilt and close by.
Staff friendly and welcoming. As it was the start of the season I think that some of the restuarant staff were a little short of training but nothing serious.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday to unwind, this is definately the place.

I had a wonderful stay at tis property. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The rooms and facilities were also modern and up to date. The staff was incredible, very kind, warm and friendly, very courteous and were always willing to go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this property if you are after a boutique hotel with a chill tranquil vibe. The beach was also really nice and clean and the property was walkable.

Every aspect of Plantation Hotel was excellent. The drive from the ferry port is short, but when you finally arrive, there is a very nice driveway which then opens up to the actual hotel with the amazing sea as a backdrop
The reception area is very open and welcoming
Rooms are very clean, and if you need anything it's performed quickly and efficiently
Dinning is great, especially the outdoor pizza oven, and the bar is well stocked with local and international drinks
The sea is right on your door step, and you can walk to other beaches close by.
The location of this hotel is excellent as well, as you are only 10 min walk from the town, which is truly perfect

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff and offered a refreshing welcome drink. Although we arrived early and had to wait until the standard check-in time of 3 p.m. (they had an additional cost for early check-in), the staff made the process smooth and pleasant.
Unfortunately, our room initially had alot of mosquitoes, but the staff promptly provided insecticide spray, and that resolved the issue. The room itself was comfortable, with amenities like a mini-fridge, toiletries, and a safe. The hotel’s pool was lovely, and the beachfront was absolutely stunning, with turquoise waters and plenty of beach chairs and huts. They had free water activities like kayaking and snorkeling, and the pool towels were provided as well. Breakfast was included, though during the low season (September), it was served à la carte rather than buffet style to minimize waste (this should have been stated before) While the options were delicious, they did become a bit repetitive, and vegetarian choices were somewhat limited. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, with attentive staff and a variety of tasty options, from pizza to seafood and pasta. Everything that we ate from the restaurant was delicious. The brownie is the best, it's made from St Vincent chocolate and was absolutely divine. The staff were always accommodating and courteous, even though the hotel was quieter during this period. One downside was the presence of stray animals like cats and dogs in the dinning area.

I love the location and cleanliness of this hotel. Some of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, if you are looking for a hotel that is guest-friendly and provides reasonable accompandations for its guests, this hotel is not the one. I’ve gone there numerous times, mainly because of its location. However, I always get the impression that I need them more than they need me.🤔

Next time I need to visit Bequia, despite the location, I have decided to patronize another hotel.

It has great views and beach access. The landscape is also picturesque. The level of customer service and care was not consistent with each staff. We love staying here each summer but this time it felt like they could pay more attention to details especially speaking more confidently and courteously.

Our booking through this Expedia platform could not be found. We were then offered a different suite with similar set up but had no internet/wifi access for our entire stay when in our room. This made it impossible to use any of our mobile devices. We did mention this and was asked to move to another suite after we were settled in. This felt like we would have to sacrifice more of our time for this trip. It seems that they knew the problem existed before offering the suite based on previous guests also. complaining. Also, there were 3 of us for breakfast yet there is a rule about ordering. fruit baskets for breakfast - limit of 2. A bit disappointing for us because we like the complimentary breakfast. It's a part of why we choose here over other hotels.

We do overall love this hotel. There is a lot of friendly and helpful staff. This trip felt a bit low on customer care for us.

Lots of basic amenities missing from our 2 bedroom- like paper towels and a cable box! The first night we had dinner one of our guests got sick. Our entire trip was ruined after that. There is no beach service and everyone workinf there is extremely young and training. Horrible service. We were told we owed multiple hundreds of dollars when it was paid in full. Then was told \"sorry she's in training. \" What if we didn't know and paid? We won't return. Be careful

My experience at this property was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—going above and beyond by allowing me to take a quick shower after check-out before catching the ferry back to St. Vincent. The location is beautiful; you can even enjoy the sunset right from the lobby area!

Getting to the hotel was easy; the hotel arranged for a taxi from the ferry. A quick 5 minutes later we were checking in and greeted with rum punches while we waited for our room. We stayed in the main house; our room had a large terrace and the most amazing view of the bay. Breakfast was included and was delicious. The restaurant is really good; didn't have a bad meal; the pizza was amazing. The rum punch is top notch and if you're lucky you'll get to try the mango rum punch. The staff are friendly and professional. The property is a short scenic walk along the belmont walkway and conveniently located. There is a spa, a pool, beach with beautiful clear water and a relaxed vibe. We will stay here again when we come back to Bequia.

The property is beautiful. The villas are huge, beds were very comfortable. The staff were pleasant. I think the food needed some work and I find that the pool can use some daily cleaning however the beach is right there so who needs the pool. Overall I had a great experience. Will return again.

We had a fantastic week at Plantation hotel from check in to check out the staff were amazing.The hotel is beachfront loungers and towels are complimentary.
We especially loved the location just a stroll along the Belmont walkway to restaurants, bars, and shops.Take the opposite direction from the beach at Plantation hotel along to Princess Margaret and Lower bay Beach's accessible via a trail over the headland that leads directly onto Princess Margaret beach stop for a cocktail or keep going to the other end of the beach and the trail leads to the road down to Lower bay. The views are amazing and if you're lucky you might find that one of the friendly local pups will lead the way.

The rooms were nice. The front desk welcomed me warmly. Everywhere else, however, the service staff were not particularly friendly or service minded. The restaurant - never felt welcomed particularly. The towel/snorkel shack was always hit and miss if it was staffed. The small beach in front of the hotel is ok, but fortunately a 10 min walk to Prince Margaret beach is must better. All in all, did not feel I got value for the amount I was paying.

We went to this hotel after an 8-night stay on the main island of St. Vincent. The Bequai Plantation Hotel and restaurant staff were wonderful and went beyond expectations during our 6-night stay. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant as it was fresh, tastey, and well prepared. The grounds are nicely trimmed and pruned and generally peaceful and quiet. The beach was really clean (no visible garbage). The only complaints are that the prearranged hotel shuttle was 40 minutes late arriving at the ferry terminal to take us to the hotel, and the refrigerator in the room was not working. As well, stray dogs were allowed on the restaurant premises and would often sit under our dining table near my feet, scratching themselves (fleas? ticks?). I would prefer if the dogs were kept away. Aside from that, overall, I recommend this hotel for a quaint, simple and relaxing vacation stay.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Plantation hotel, last year was the 1st so my review is based on comparing 1st to 2nd. Hotel was very accommodating to our personal needs but seems some things have noticeably changed. The breakfast buffet was way scaled down from last year with very limited options but still ok if you're not a big breakfast person. The island itself seems to be a little more crowded with day trippers maybe coming from st Vincent's new Sandals resort , also from cruise ships. The hotel sits on a small narrow beach which has its own beach chairs and coverings. Seems like staff didnt patrol the area as much this time when non-hotel guests came by and helped themselves. Not a huge deal if hotel guests weren't trying to use the beach amenities they paid for but otherwise its annoying and intrusive when 20-30 people come at once to a very small beach area. I guess they dont want to put off potential customers to the restaurant which sits right on the beach. Overall we had a very nice stay. Clean , friendly staff, accommodating. Other than all the foot traffic we had no complaints . I still think its the nicest hotel on the island

The resort was nice, but fell short in a few amenities. The bed/mattress was super comfortable. The location was very good with a nice beachfront and access to a walking path to town, restaurants, and other beaches. Some amenities were missing, like a bar of soap or pump soap for the bathroom sink. The shampoos, conditioners, and shower gel while all with the same brand labels, had varying fill amounts and colors. They appeared to be evaporated or refilled. The restaurant was disappointing from slow service, incorrect orders, to lack of basic items. At one meal, 3 sets of salt shakers dispensed No Salt, yet rice kernels came out. The wait staff did not check in to see if things were working. The inconsistent service was consistent at lunch and breakfasts. Thankfully there are better restaurants within a 5 minute walk. My massage was good, but the spa wasn't very elegant. It lacked the ambience of most spas: no aromatherapy, no water or tea after the massage, and an incredibly hard massage table. The massage therapist was good though.

Wonderful stay that ended badly

We couldn't check in early, so we had to wait, which is understandable. However, when we asked if we could check out later than 11 am time, they said no. Even though
the hotel information sheet in the room stated that you could stay beyond the checkout time for an additional fee
(which we were willing to pay). So we hung out and went to the hotel restaurant for lunch, only to be turned away because they were expecting a lot of people from a cruise ship! We got takeout and ate on the porch by reception. We walked back to the restaurant after lunch and found plenty of open seating! Needless to say, we left very unhappy.

Three Day stay at Bequia Plantation Hotel

The location is absolutely perfect, just a short work to Princess Margaret Beach and restaurants along Admiralty Bay. The cottages were clean and well kept and the staff were very nice. You won't be disappointed with this one.

Bequia Plantation hotel is an oasis in port Elizabeth.
The beaches and turquoise waters are amazing.
Great swimming and snorkeling.
Amazing restaurant choices along the sea wall
On-site fantastic daily breakfast and service was very good.
Recommend to those wanting to get off the beaten path and experience Bequia - a jewel in the eastern Caribbean.

From the moment I got off the ferry from mainland, there was transportation waiting for us. We were greeted with drinks and our bags were already in our room. I loved breakfast and dinner and the rooms were large and a villa with a kitchenette. It’s on the beach and includes water activities. We walked everywhere to other beaches and restaurants throughout the day. Staff was amazing and accommodating and I will be back again!

Front desk staff were wonderful. Upon arrival, there was only a limited piece of toilet paper on the roll. Morning, Called front desk to get some . Took 3 hours to get it from housekeeping. At the dinning room, Asked for a muffin and banana bread, was put in a bag. The cashier walked away without a word, had us waiting and return without a word or apology. Very awkward moment. Again, front desk staff, 2 young ladies were excellent. Great ambassadors.

Would definitely recommend. Our mini getaway was made perfect by the friendly staff and beautiful hotel. We loved the complimentary breakfast and all our meals. We are dog lovers but did not enjoy dining with the ones that came to each meal. Overall a very inviting and welcoming beach hotel. We loved our stay and look forward to our next visit.

Plantation hotel is the best in the area

Absolutely amazing! Whenever I’m on Bequia, I always book at room at Plantation. The room quality, service, food choices, close proximity to princess margaret beach/jack’s and the private beach are all the reasons why I choose this hotel every year.
