Food in restaurant is good, the service is not so great. Wait staff gets mixed up too often, even when simplified instructions and even when summarizing. Not sure if wait staff or kitchen staff are remiss.
Prices are high for rooms, and the A/C blows directly on yo the bed in all rooms (rooms are small).
On a positive note tho, the property, the beach and pool are just wonderful.

Amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was so nice and attentive. I had the oceanfront view and it couldn't be better to wake up to the waves and the scenery it offered. Loved it, will def stay again. It's not all inclusive but prices are reasonable. Property kept intact everything was perfect.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, my accommodations spacious and comfortable, the beach access could not have been easier, the property was quiet, with plenty of activities for guests/families, the restaurant/lounge was only a step away, and breakfast was lovely. The room was a bit outdated but if you’re a traveller that is just in the room to sleep, it works well. The front desk were really nice! I find the staff for food + bar to be really slow. Ordered coffee and a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast before heading to the beach and I’m pretty sure the staff forgot until I had to go and re order again and wait another 20 mins

If you're on a budget and do not want to stay in a creepy hostel, this is the hotel for you. The toilets are a little slow with flushing , but thats expected in the Caribbean. The staff is pleasant and the hotel is on the beach, so you dont have to walk far to access the beach. There are also three restaurants within walking distance. The doors to the hotel could be modernized, but hey its an older hotel in the caribbean. Take it or leave it. The lobby and grounds were clean

I went with a large group. Very nice hotel, some rooms were renovated, some were dated and needed help. Food options were limited and a bit pricey but it’s a short walk to other nearby food spots that are open late. Overall it was nice for the cost. Staff was ok, Manager was nice. I will return.

Standard 3 star hotel. Bathroom can be updated but hot showers with good water pressure was perfect! Food at restaurant was good but pricey similar to the US. Small pool but walk out to the beach was excellent. You can walk along the sand to get to other restaurants on the beach. WiFi and air conditioning worked well with no issues. Highly recommend a rental car to get around the small island.

We enjoyed our short stay at Sunset Shores. The property is well maintained; yhe staff is friendly and professional. The ECO amenities were great. The food at the restaurant was good and the view from our room was gorgeous. There is a resident parrot who I talked yo everyday which was fun. My only suggestion would be to offer pool towels.

Every interaction with the staff, apart Hudson, was a roll of the dice. A real roulette and you never knew what you were going to get. Uninterested, under resourced and ilprepared, the constant struggles with asking for literally anything be it a simple breakfast order which could take an hour, to asking for towels left us anxious. Truly a 3 star experience and missing the true Carribean vibes.

This is an older property but well maintained overall. Reception staff were wonderful. Wait staff for breakfast was terrible at best. Service was beyond slow. 3 other tables did not receive any silverware, salt and pepper, never checked in and took 55 minutes for food to arrive. I have to ask for silverware and took salt and pepper from other tables. Much improvement is needed here. Staff was sitting and talking to each other rather than working.

Bed was comfortable it was one of those heavy foam mattresses. I looked at other properties all about the same as far as outdated! You’re in the Islands. Staff was very nice

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with front desk staff. One woman, Erica, stared me up and down before speaking, acted cold and controlling, and made me feel judged and unwelcome. During meals, staff hovered every few minutes asking “Are you ready?” while I was still eating, which was exhausting. The male manager was more knowledgeable, the housekeeper was incredibly kind, and Hudson, one of the servers, treated guests with respect — they were the only positives.
At checkout, I had to pay for food while my card was locked because I was out of the country. Erica acted like I was playing games, even though I was just trying to resolve things quickly. Her behavior was controlling, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
Honestly, the front desk staff needs serious retraining in customer service. Guests should feel welcomed and valued, not rushed or treated like a nuisance. This experience completely ruined what could have been a decent stay. they also need to learn some of they guest can bring a-lot of attraction “ THEY LOST

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much at Sunset Shores. We actually had the opportunity to meet one of the owners and learn about the deep history of the hotel. The resort was older but well kept generally. My room was very clean. For some reason I was missing vanity door knobs and drawers. Bathroom very small, but rest of room was fine with 2 beds, table, bureau, tv, etc.

This is an older hotel that has been operating for more than 50 years, and that shows in some areas. The rooms feel somewhat dated. The food was not very good, and the menu options were limited. On the positive side, the staff was helpful, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the rooms were cleaned daily.
The location is convenient, with easy walking access to other restaurants and bars along the boardwalk. Those restaurants are not that great either, but they are better than the hotel. The beach water is clear, although beach chairs and umbrellas must be rented from locals. Public transportation is readily available, with vans stopping right outside the hotel that can take you to Kingstown or in the opposite direction for $2.50 EC. This made it easy to reach supermarkets in either direction to buy water, snacks, or other essentials.
We stayed in two rooms. It took four days to receive a safe in one of them, so we had to share the available safe during that time. There was also a ceiling leak in room 14, and the water pressure in room 16 was very low.

They would not respond to questions about the change. The room was a downgrade, smelled moldy, had visible mold in the AC, no hot water, and constant smoke from neighboring rooms.
After two nights, we were forced to check out at noon but could not check into Sunset Shores until 3 pm, despite this being their mistake. They offered a so called “complimentary” dinner, which later came with undisclosed restrictions limited to the cheapest menu items.
