I stayed here with my partner for a few days to explore New Delhi and we loved the Lalit. It was a great hotel that was centrally located in New Delhi so we had easy access to a lot of our sites. The on-site food was varied and very good and was our go-to for breakfast. I would happily stay here again!

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in recent months. Right from entering gate to check-out, there were multiple instances that point staff is poorly trained:
1. I get down from taxi and about to enter hotel when doorman signals me to get my small backpack scanned. He signalled me in a manner I would call my pet or toddler son
2. I enter lobby, I politely stand in queue behind the check-in desk as all 3 desks were occupied. A staff walks up to asking me to sit in waiting area. When I state that I am fine standing, she asked me to get behind another visitor. Very next moment, couple of (non-Indian looking) gentlemen walk in and the same lady asks for their passports and got them into another queue ahead of me. Thanks for making me feel like second class citizen in my own country
3. My parents and I were put in rooms on different floors so we swapped one key to get access to each other’s floors. Next morning, I am not able to access my parent’s floor. I go to security—she doesn’t have access key(strange!). I go to front desk, they rewrite key, I walk up to elevator and the key is still not working. I walk to front desk again—I reconfirm that key will work this time. I walk to elevator and guess what it doesn’t work again. I lost 15 minutes in this ordeal. I walk to front desk again and the guy gives me 4 keys this time

Many more such issues through my stay My recommendation - avoid this place at all cost. Suggestion to hotel - train your staff better

The staff are amazing; from reception to the housekeeping teams on the floor, nothing is too much. The rooms are beautiful. I've always had an amazing view over Delhi. The pool is lovely. Great place to relax and refresh after being out in the busy city. I love this hotel.I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This booking was an extension to an existing 4 day stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was overall very nice. We were there for 5 days total, it felt like the same staff members were constantly looking for tips (both cleaners and wait staff) despite tipping throughout our stay.

Our key cards were deactivated frequently (sometimes multiple times a day) for no reason, requiring us to visit the front desk to reactivate them.

The dance club on first floor was very loud and rowdy. The crowd overtook the lobby on Saturday night which was unpleasant returning to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.

We were dining in Baluchi restaurant and a woman got into a heated shouting match with the waiter, yelling at him throughout the restaurant, through the diners and into the kitchen. Though entertaining, we were unsettled by the scene.

The staff was excellent from Sagar at the Front Desk at Check-in to the Dessert woman, Drishti, to Ishu at bag handling, to Wani at Check out. The spa with steam room and sauna was also very relaxing along with the great attendants there.

I have stayed at this hotel many times - it seems the quality has gone down considerably. It is highly over priced and not a good value for money.
The restaurant is in urgent need to renovation and upgrade and the prices are Extortionate and very unreasonable.
I wouldn't stay at this hotel again

The pool was closed all day for a wedding- could not access
The reception desk was super slow and always a line
Room was cleaned quickly and not restocked.
Room is 4 star at best
The restaurant was way over priced and the service terrible. You had to practically beg someone to take your order
More of a conference centre with so many private events
Bar was closed for private event
Outdoor eating from the restaurant also closed for private event
Water in shower warm sometimes
Management not at all helpful.
There are too many excellent hotels in Delhi. This is not one. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.

There were Mosquitos and dust when we arrived. upon calling the housekeeping staff we were provided with Good Knight plug ins but still lots of mosquitos. It feels like the property doesnt Air the room at all. plus the insufficient and below par quality washroom kits...Only good thing was the staff behvaior. but for the price customers should get much cleaner and quality washroom kits. Even number of towels were much less.

Tired, old, poor service.

Tired and old hotel where many of the staff didn't seem to care about serving the guests. Reception emailed me before my stay along for me preferences (I requested a non smoking room and extra pillows) then ignored my preferences and gave me a smoking room without extra pillows. Breakfast was chaotic with the concierge ignoring guests because they were busy and I'm still waiting for reception to email me the final receipt days after I checked out. The only exception was the support when the wifi stopped working in the room, someone came promptly, fixed the issue quickly and stayed for a few minutes to ensure the wifi was working again. Hotel is will located close to Connaught Circle and the swimming pool looked nice so maybe a good option for holidaying, but this is not a 5 Start international hotel compared with others in India, and was not good value for money at the price I paid.

The hotel was nice. However, some aspects of the room are beginning to look dated. Great breakfast buffet and a good dinner buffet.
However, at 1 pm everyday, there was hammering going on near my room, this really disturbed my stay. Even after complaining, the same continued each day. On the third day, I was offered to change my room - this inconvenienced me a lot.
The staff are nice.
The metro station is just a few minutes walk and Connaught Place is only a 19 ml in walk.

We booked three rooms. Which were clean and tidy. On arrival, we spent over 2 hours waiting to to checked in. The front desk told us to wait in the lobby and then forgot about us. The lady simply walked off!!

After we checked out, I discovered we had been charged for a bottle of wine as part of room service. This is a complete error since I don’t drink alcohol. I then sent email to the hotel to inquire about the overcharge and received no response. Very disappointing.

Needs Improvement to Match Brand Reputation

I was traveling with my kids, so comfort and prompt service were especially important, but unfortunately, the experience fell short.

* The bathroom washbasin in our room was clogged and wouldn't drain, which was very inconvenient throughout our stay.
* There was an internet issue with the TV, and despite calling multiple times yesterday, no IT person was sent to fix it.
* Breakfast was disappointing and did not meet the quality expected from a hotel of this brand.
Overall experience was ok as when staying at a reputed brand, you expect attention to detail and perfection, but that standard was missing here in The LaLit New Delhi.

The property overall is good. The only need is that rooms need touchup. There were so many cracks on the floor service from dimple and Drishti was fabulous.
One more thing they promised for the amenities which didn’t show up to my room and it was not only me another lady who was staying at the property. She also mentioned to the front desk agent that she didn’t receive her amenities yet so please try to be top off everything.

Staff at this hotel, from cleaning to management, goes above and beyond in hospitality.

- They have a 24/7 buffet restaurant, however it’s paid separately and the buffet operates on a schedule, for other times you have the a la carte menu. The dessert section is amazing and every dish on this restaurant has labels for potential allergies, which allows people with dairy allergies to safely select what to eat.
- They also have an Asian restaurant (Oko) where you can have Chinese or Japanese cuisines (including sushi). They also have labels for allergies.
- The gym is decent for a hotel gym and pretty clean and quiet.
- The area around the hotel (Connaught Place) has shopping options and it’s close to the metro.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Lalit. The location is perfect - a short walk to Connaught Place and easy access to the metro. The room was spacious and although gowns had to be requested, they came promptly. Breakfasts were excellent. My one criticism would be that the common areas were always rather noisy with loud music. However I do recommend the hotel and would choose to stay their again

It was veey bad and careless attitude of staff, nobody called bsck from reception to my room 2231 for 3 hours. At thr time of billing, it was wrong billing and charged much higher than actual booking charges. I had to wait at reception for one hours. It was horrible experience first time since 2010 i have been visiting this property.

OK hotel with great buffet, but the first room we were given was not clean. The hotel is also massive, feels more like a gigantic mall than a hotel. You have to wait in line to check in, to check out, to have breakfast, etc. Not sure I will go back.
