What we liked about this property was EVERYTHING! From the drive through an enchanted forest to the lake views to the elegant stone guest house with the most fabulous dinner, and kind and accommodating wait staff AND the room in the Garden House was extremely clean and comfortable. And to top it off, while walking the manicured lawns with magnificent trees, we spotted deer grazing in the gardens with no fear of onlookers. There were many photo ops at this lovely place!

Lovely stay at the Ard na Sidhe Country House. Very peaceful and tranquil setting. Such a beautiful location. Wonderful gardens and very classy main house. Food was wonderful. Our rooms were in the garden house, and was clean and comfortable although a little warm during our unseasonably warm visit. Great staff all around. Easy parking and great location. Much prefer this stay over crowded Killarney.

This is a sensationally peaceful property with comfortable accommodations and excellent food. The Saturday night harp concert was transformational. Debbie at reception and Baptiste, the student intern, were especially gracious. The landscaping is undulating and thoughtfully natural. One of the best ever.

This is a stunning country house, it a tranquil location. However, it is more like a guest house than a hotel. There are no facilities here at all. It is beautiful and relaxing just be aware no proper bar, no pool, no spa, no tv in rooms etc. The sister hotel The Europe is much better value for money.

We booked this hotel as part of our Honeymoon through hotels.com. We chose this hotel specifically as they advertised babysitting was available and we had our baby with us. On check in we enquired about a babysitter for that evening so we could have a meal together and were told they do not offer babysitting and this was never available at this hotel. We were meant to stay 2 nights but checked out the next morning and moved to a different hotel with babysitting. Facilities are not as advertised on hotels.com and are misleading to families.

This is a beautiful manor house set in the country and the perfect place to relax.

You should plan a vacation around this hotel!. It has one of the most spectacular views in Ireland on its own section of a lake. There is an amazing hike that leads up to a mountain top. The restaurant was the best I have been to in Ireland. It may not be easy to get there (especially without a car) but it is very much worth the effort.

I would say the only 2 drawbacks we had was the breakfast was mediocre, and the WiFi signal kept cutting in and out. The location is both idyllic and practical to explore the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Penisula. My garden house room was luxurious. Breakfast and dinner scrumptious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Romantic atmosphere is great for couples. As a solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable but a bit of the odd-person out.

Excellent! Beautiful property inside and out. We spent three nights and wish we could have spent more. We spent hours walking the paths to the lake and through the gardens, watching deer enjoying the flowers as much as we were. :) Great staff and excellent food. Highly recommend!

Words can't describe this place. I'm getting goosebumps just writing the review. My wife and I spent a single night here last week (May '19) and it was magical. We spent the days wandering the gardens and sitting by the lake. The rooms were some of our best during our trip. The evening meal was extremely well done. The staff was attentive and very professional. We made some great friends with the other guests and this is the #1 place we are looking to stay on our next trip to Ireland.

Really loved this hotel. Cosy country house right by a beautiful lake. Excellent breakfast and dinner available. Be aware that this is a quite a distance from Killarney but a great place to start your Ring of Kerry drive. Only minor issue is our room did not have a TV but the rooms are clean and spacious enough.

We were places in a modern annex away from the hotel so although breakfast was served in the hotel, we felt we were not staying in the hotel we had booked and paid for. The room we had was small, small window, modern but had zero county ‘character’ which was our reason for selecting this hotel. At £183 for the night this was completely overpriced for the standard of room we received which really was more of an upmarket travelodge. The Brehon in Killsrney where we stayed earlier was similarly priced and 10x better value

A great alternate to staying in Killarney when touring ring of Kerry/Dingle! Totally relaxing amid spectacular grounds that are even nicer then the photos. Impeccable service, great breakfast and gourmet dinner. Loved the spacious public living rooms and tea areas. Hosts are exceptionally accommodating and helpful w/o being over-bearing. Liked it so much actually took a day off and just hung there after a week of non-stop sightseeing!

Upon our arrival we were lectured for where we parked our vehicle even though there was zero signage advising of such. The receptionist herself even commented on the lack of signage, advising it was something to do with fire safety. Even after we relocated our vehicle with no fuss, we returned to our room only to find an employee was parking in the same location - all night. The waitstaff were lacking. The room itself was roasting hot and we got around 2-3 hours sleep even though it seemed to be a steady 10-15 degrees outside. We decided to leave at first light.

Ard na Sidhe is a stunning hotel in a stunning location. The building is beautiful; the views of the lake are amazing, and there is a labyrinth of gardens stretching down to the lakeshore. Dinner was fabulous A little piece of heaven. The service in the morning was the only downside during our stay; there was an accumulation of little things that you would not expect from a hotel of this class and price range. Options were not available during breakfast, and we were not properly informed of this before ordering. There were only three newspapers for the entire hotel (the couple next to us had two of them!). Afternoon tea, although advertised, was not available when we tried to book it (based on a rather unconvincing excuse about lack of space; the place was half empty). I don't mean to be too critical - I would go back in a heartbeat - but for what they charge, it would be nice to see these things ironed out.

Located on a lake tucked away (in fact a bit of a challenge to find it), the hotel and grounds are exceptional. It was lovely to walk around and appreciate the way life once was. The groundskeeper does a fabulous job keeping up the place. The staff was lovely, accommodating and helpful in every way. The restaurant was sophisticated and the food terrific. It is a grand experience for anyone seeking an upscale and quiet place to rest.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The location is great - right in the heart of everything - easy to walk to main sights and restaurants. However, as mentioned in other reviews this place is not quiet. The bar downstairs turns into a club at night surprisingly, and since we were staying on the first floor it was pretty loud. Also the rooms are a little used and could definitely use an update. Also our bathroom smelled generally like a sewer. Overall - good for one night for convenience, but wouldn't stay here for a relaxing longer vacation.

What a great accidental find!
This place was more of an Inn than a hotel. It was a little hard to find even with our GPS, we didn't go far enough on the little road but once we found it we couldn't have been more pleased. The most beautiful grounds, the staff was so sweet. Just a word to the people like me who are afraid of spiders, they do not believe in bug spray. Their breakfast was wonderful. I would go back in a heart beat.
