Huynh at the front desk of Level was helpful and very knowledgeable about the property. She was right about my room having a great view. I almost changed room base on their rendering on the map. She kept reassuring me that the view is very good. I'm glad i didn't change room, end up with a great stay. Good to see someone (Huynh) who knows the product they are selling.

We had a pleasant stay at Melia Villa overall. The staff at the Residence Suite was excellent — very friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. They truly made us feel welcomed and well taken care of.

However, due to the low number of Villa guests during our stay, the Villa breakfast area was closed. As a result, all guests had to use the main breakfast area, which became very crowded and less relaxing than expected. While we understand the operational decision, it did affect the overall breakfast experience.

That said, the service from the staff remained outstanding, and we still enjoyed our stay.

Everything about this place was wonderful. The breakfast buffet to the pools and farm was great. There are a few points in which there could be improvement. I was infected by the Paederus beetle. The nurse came and helped me, but he didn’t have a disposable ice pack to help with the burning, nor did he have any bandages to cover it up to prevent infection. The room because we were on the beach could have been set to a cooler temperature, but it wasn’t an option so I was warm the entire time I was there.

We stayed in a sea-view tower room with the all-inclusive option. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and the hotel was beautifully maintained. The concierge staff were very helpful in assisting us with travel arrangements. The beach was amazing and the pool was great. The snacks in the Gaia pool bar were delicious, and the breakfast buffet in the Sasa was fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay, but we had a few niggles.

I installed the Melia app but it didn't work for booking restaurants etc, since it couldn't find our room booking. It just said \"An unexpected error occurred\" every time I tried. Apparently there are two reference numbers associated with a booking but neither of them worked for us.

The information on the app/website was hard to navigate and was sometimes incorrect or out of date. For example the Sasa restaurant opening hours were wrong. Sometimes there were special offers on food but there was no indication whether they were included in the AI package. It was irritating that the AI didn't include the small bottles of wine in the minibar - a bit stingy!

Service in the Breeza bar was sometimes very slow.

We ate once in the Muoi and although we like Vietnamese food we were unimpressed. The food in the Breeza was good but we struggled to find very many dishes that we fancied on the a la carte menu. The buffet dinners in the Sasa were good.

So all in all a great hotel let down a bit by the food and lack of information.

Amazing resort. We stayed in the Levels, which was a 3 bed two story villa with private pool. Simply perfection, beach front, bikes included. Clean, classy, super friendly and helpful.

Resort pool is also very large and clean - small kids water park with slides.

Restaurant food choice and quality great. Limited options though for lunch if you don’t want buffet.

I recently stayed here and wanted to share my experience, highlighting both the positives and the challenges I encountered.

Positives

- The complimentary transfer from Ho Chi Minh was smooth and timely, a great service to offer.

- The property is beautifully located and well-maintained.

- My room was the perfect size and provided a much-needed retreat after a long day. The water pressure in the shower was impressive, making for a refreshing experience.

- The staff were genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made a difference during my stay.

- The spa services were excellent, far exceeding my expectations with five treatments that were truly enjoyable.

Challenges

However, my experience was marred by certain issues, particularly regarding the “All Inclusive” package. Given the premium rate of around AUD $500 per night, I expected a more comprehensive offering. It was disappointing to find that popular cocktails like margaritas and strawberry daiquiris were not included, along with many other beverage options.

As Christmas approached, it became clear that the staff were overwhelmed by the increased guest volume. Service times lagged significantly, with call buttons often going unanswered. On Christmas Eve, the chaos at Breeza was particularly frustrating; it took considerable time to place drink orders, and the menu offered fewer “All Inclusive” choices tha

Their all inclusive wasn’t very all inclusive. Many things were not included on the menu, room service was not included. Room was spacious but had been used hard. Lots of loud children crowing the resort all over. The swim up bar also served ice cream so a million kids waiting for ice cream and made getting a beverage difficult. I would not recommend for the price.

This hotel is top notch. The amenities are incredible. There are activities all day long and outside movies on the lawn to enjoy as a family. There are several top end villas with private pools but I would recommend staying in the main hotel and get a beach view room. I thought it was perfect.

6 nights 1 bedroom level private pool, the resort itself is beautiful, the meals are very good but too repetitive over 6 nights, we chose all inclusive which we felt didn’t end up good value for us so soon regretted that decision. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the private pool was lovely and a highlight, but could have been a bit cleaner. The room itself was clean. Staff were excellent and super helpful. There isn’t anything to do outside the property and it is quite far from anything. Overall it was a nice place to stay but not really great value for money.

Customer service standards here were noticeably poorer than similar hotels on Phu Quoc island. We didn't get a nice welcome at breakfast - just a shrug really - nobody asked if we wanted coffee. Three days in a row. To be honest, staff at breakfast seem to try and avoid eye contact with guests (in case they might ask them for something, I guess!) I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Go to Phu Quoc where the sheer number of hotels drives up customer service standards. The restaurants and bars in this resort are also overpriced.

Lovely clean hotel but not a lot to do around it

The hotel is stunning, the location views are great. The staff are so friendly. I just felt there is a huge lack to do around the hotel. The hotels beside it are either not opened yet or closed. Can’t really go far and they didn’t have a great selection of excursions. It’s great for a few days if you want to relax, it’s very expensive for Vietnam for drinks and food but is probably similar price to uk. We visited for a week and by day 4/5 we were a bit fed up of the same restaurants. Also felt it lacked entertainment at night or even during the day

This resort is quality - we went for a Level option villa. One of the most spacious accommodation we have ever had! Even had its own splash pool at the rear of the villa. Food is good - both Breeza and Muoi were excellent - we only used the buffet (SaSa) for breakfast - and that was good. Note the resort gets busy at the weekend- so book your dining for Friday and Saturday nights. Staff are all polite and friendly. Although the resort is spread out -you can ask for transport around using the golf buggies!

Not as advertised as one of VN top ten resorts!!!

Melia Ho Tram is proud to be one of the top ten resorts in Vietnam. We read many positive reviews about the resort and so we chose to stay for 4 nights. However, we were quite disappointed with the standard as a five star resort. We did not enjoy our stay as we wished!
The front counter service at the breakfast restaurant was not very welcoming. After we gave our feedback to staff at reception, the following days we were offered seating at The Level area. To us, this was unnecessary.
On our second night, we had dinner at Muoi restaurant. We ordered three dishes, of which two dishes were not warm enough. We talked to the manager and the dishes were brought back to the kitchen and replaced, yet the temperature was still not right. Our excitement for dinner was diminished. To compensate our disappointment, the manager offered us a bowl of noodle and a dish of honey roasted pork ribs, which this time the temperature was right. Although we were not charged for the meal as a \"compensation\", our dining was ruined! As a five star restaurant and it is pricey, the food should be served at the right standard from the beginning.
One day before we checked out, we found out by chance at reception that we could get 10% discount if we used HSBC card to pay for our meals at the restaurants. We were not advised about this at check in or at the restaurants. All we got was an apology and this matter will be brought to management to train staff properly! Melia, it's disappointing!!!

We only stayed couple of nights at the end of our Vietnam vacation. The property is beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom villa which was modern, big, clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we ended up there during the monsoon season so we only enjoyed couple of hours on the beach and by the private pool attached to the villa.
Breakfast was included and was good, full of options. We were in the level villa and we could enjoy access to the lounge where we could enjoy afternoon snacks and drinks including alkohol. Other than that the property has only 2 restaurants that are quite pricey for Vietnam. But we really enjoyed our time there. We wanted couple of relaxing days after touring Vietnam for 10 day and we were able to relax!
I was disappointed that in the villa only water was complimentary. We stayed in 4 other 5 starts hotels while in Vietnam and everywhere else snacks and beer was also complimentary.

Watch your surrounding while walking

It was amazing , nice place to stay at the villa. The bad things was no any other restaurant outside the resort, you are binding to dine inside the resort. there are 2 restaurants
and the foods was costly. Be careful when you walk inside the resort especially at dusk , I saw a 3 feet black snake
pass in front of me at the lawn and coconut fell off from the tree 6 feet on my side.

Only 2 things i think the corporate need to deeply consider otherwise the hotel will start losing its star rating to 3 star hotel

For the amount of money paid the check process like a 2.5 to 3 star hotel. It is overcrowded overwhelmed the wait time to get room way too long alwaya close to 4pm as specified so dont expect to come around 2pm and think u can check in while check out time is 12 noon..no reason it take 4 hour to clean a room or they need to hire more clean crew..

Also way way too many group tourist booking which mean it bring many sorts of guest with different status meaning the atmosphere and environment is completely not the same as you would host typical guests who value and willing and appreciate 4 to 5 star hotels..

It just way too much it take away the ambiance of 4 or 5 star hotel resort

And breakfast always over crowded have to wait for table and get inline for foods..

Just not the type of 4 star hotel im used to..

They just need to cut down the capacity..
Or soon this hotel will be down grade to 3 star

The resort built way too nice and too pretty

We are loooking forward to come back when we visit vietnam again but management need to deeply consider some improvement on guest selection..avoid tour group as much as possibly...

Also falsely advertised as 5 star because the facilities at the healthclub and spa are paid extras (something which we found out after checking in) which is not the norm in any 5 star hotel. after bringing everything to the attention of the guest relationship manager all they said was \"Thank you for your feedback\" no apologies and no attempt to try and compensate for our experiences

room is nice and clean. pool is nice but bar has limmited choice. restaurant brezze is excetional pricy. we had 6 black tiger prawn ... it cost us 120$..we reaose later is wa 280/kg..... for tiger prawn... yes. 280/kg.

service is extremely slow, 30min to get ice deliver to your room, room cleaning only happen if you ask front desk.. i was there for three days, i have to request all three day otherwise they wont do it.

The staff was phenomenal, service was Devine. Free shuttle service from D2 Hcmc provided if needed. Husband had food poisoning prior to arrival and staff sent get well fruit platter with a card was very sweet. Our room was on the highest level floor 17th with ocean view. The only negative reoccuring issue were when some of the staffing that lack the understanding of English and simply just nodded or seem to recite a script which had nothing to do with the question asked. Also there were employees that did not provide service but kept asking for reviews which was off putting. Also a lot of the activities the employee in charge did not explain anything and just give you the fishing pole or just put you in the boat, we were hoping some guidance but ended up just having to figure things on our own.

The resort is wonderful. We stayed in a Level Villa - which was a next level experience. Great service with dedicated staff, free poolside cocktails daily and beautiful villa with private pool. This was a real wow experience and would recommend it highly.
It is more of a destination though and not a lot around outside of the resort. We added this to a HCM trip, which was really the best of both worlds.

We took a toddler and teenager and the staff where incredible. 2 bed apartment was beautiful and clean and plenty of things to do within the resort. This property is as advertised! I love this place and will visit again. The rooms were very clean. The large pool was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was beyond expectations.

We checked in during the week so the facility was a lot more quieter, which was really nice. We checked out Friday, when it got really busy with weekenders arriving. I’d definitely stay here again but during the week, not the weekend.

It's a hidden gem. A bit of a drive from the airport, but a beautiful resort on the beach and the staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath villa with a private pool. Dinner was good & the staff at the restaurant was amazing. Brunch was also a plus. I would return two this hotel.

Luxury hotel

I cannot overstate how wonderful this resort is. After a busy holiday, spending 4 nights here at the end of our time in Vietnam was perfect. The resort is gorgeous, with lots of activities but the best thing for us was the swim up bar, in the pool right on the beach. There's not a ton of food options and we preferred eating at the beach bar in the evening but there was enough choice for us. We stayed in a junior suite in the tower which had amazing views. The service was good all round and they even helped to organise a birthday surprise for me! It's quite pricy for Vietnam but honestly worth it if you're looking to splash out on a bit of luxury. We also got the free transfer from HCM which was easy & great!

Very nice property and a nice beach, but in a remote location in Ho Tram. You are committed to the resort while here as there is nothing else nearby. If you want a nice resort stay, this is it, but if you want local culture, you won’t find it around here…

Melia Ho Tram

We had so much great time in our 5 day holiday in Melia Ho Tram. From the way the staffs greeted us, to the cleanliness around the resort, breakfast buffet is great, pool is clean and beautiful, we had no complaints but the wish to come back again in the future.

Lovely resort, great place to relax

Highly recommend if you want to relax. The resort is perfect, very modern, lots of landscaping. The staff and welcoming and the restaurants good. There is a complex nearby with a few restaurants but after from that not much else around. The area is being developed so not doubt it will change in a year or two. We enjoyed our stay and would come back, super place to chill after the buzz of Ho Chi Minh
