I listen to the reviews and didn’t go on a Saturday thank goodness I did because Saturday was over crowded. The hotel is 100% for the kids, the children enjoyed themselves, I plan to take them back during the summer. We stayed Thursday and Friday our check out was Saturday, even though check in was at 4pm we made it there around 12pm and I room was ready . The good thing is even on your check out day you still have full access to all the amenities the hotel has to offer so you basically get an extra day on the house . It was well

Wasn’t bad with a few exceptions. The program that they have to entertain the children is fine on its own. The problem I have is it’s right next to the check in desk and made it it hard to communicate with staff with the amount of noise involved. Also was not thrilled with the 1130 pm false alarm that resulted in evacuation for a short time.

We booked online at Hotels.com and used our PayPal account to pay. When we arrived, there was an insanely long line to check in at the front desk but we had received a QR code via email so could check in immediately at a kiosk. Unfortunately, when asked to present the credit card that was used for booking, it did not recognize the card linked to our PayPal account. This prevented us from checking in but fortunately Alex (Guest Relations) was very helpful and got us processed quickly and easily.
Otherwise, this resort is wonderful for families. The water park, scheduled activities, and other experiences were fun and engaging for all ages. The rooms were well maintained and clean, with friendly staff. The only downside was the onsite food. Very expensive for mediocre quality food, and long wait times. We chose to go off-site for breakfast the next day and loved the local Cuban bakery we found nearby.

My son and I stopped here on our way home from the keys, having been disappointed in our lodging choice. Overall this place is great for kids, the slides were awesome, we did them all! My only complaint is the bartenders outside by the pool. I like to drink frozen drinks and when I ordered one i was told I had to go inside for those, so then I was told about a refillable cup that I could use. I bought it and the next day tried to use it for a frozen drink but it apparently wasn't the right cup for frozen because they didn't have any of those outside the day before! The bartender then told me I would have to buy another cup! Also, they didn't seem at all happy to be there! Having been a server/bartender for 25 years, maybe they haven't yet learned that smiles, friendly attitudes and quick service is what gets you good tips! The service at Fireside was very good but I felt a little left out when my server bought the man next to me a beer then bought a drink for the lady who came up and ordered a take out meal next to me! I still tip 20-25%.
