The front desk staff was very friendly. He provided us a copy of greater New Haven tour guide book. Also he assigned us the 7th floor room with balcony - it provided wonderful views the next morning.
All that was very helpful for us to settle into our soon to be new home in Woodbridge- about 5 miles from the hotel.

The “breakfast menu” like all available food, consists of packaged items (including yogurt and cut fruit) in a refrigerator case. It’s okay for a grab and go ( the urn for free coffee was empty) but not for a sit down and eat meal.

Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. This is a good, clean, simple hotel that delivers comfortable beds at a reasonable price in downtown New Haven. No frills.

Parking is available across the street for $25 per night. I stayed on a Friday night, and it was quite loud outside—even after midnight. Sounds like a night club or a bar.

I had a great stay at the New Haven Hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by offering helpful tips on local places to eat, which made the trip even better. There was plenty of parking available, which made coming and going easy and stress-free. The hotel itself was very clean throughout, and the beds were comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

The check‑in process was very slow. Only one staff member was working, and although she was polite and friendly, the process took much longer than expected. She spent a lot of time explaining every detail, which made the wait even longer for guests in line. This definitely added to the overall check‑in delay.

the room was very clean, the staff was polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Parking was extra, but worth it since I had a truckload of furniture. It was in an adjoining parking structure which seemed very safe. There was a restaurant and exercise facilities, but I did not partake in either.

The hotel is very nice. I have a broken ankle, and the staff helped make sure that I got an accessible room. The room and bathroom were large and the shower had a seat in it, all of which were really helpful for me. They have a nice little area near the check-in where you can purchase snacks, which is nice late at night when you get the munchies!

Doors were so loud in the 4th floor a family next to us was crowded in a room and came and went all night - couldn’t sleep at all.

Coffee wasn’t available at the desk in the morning.

No turndown service.

We loved our time in the New Haven Hotel! Our room was perfect with so much space to move around, and I liked that there were a lot of electrical outlets available as well as many towel bars in the bathroom. My only complaint is that the cleaning staff was quite loud in the hallway outside of our room on a morning when we were trying to sleep in. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located to everything we wanted to see. We were able to walk everywhere and had no need for a car.

Was booked for three nights at this hotel. Got there and they had given my room away. Said that they had run my card before I even got there and that it declined, which it actually didn’t, my credit card company froze my card because I thought it was fraudulent, so they canceled my reservation. No phone call or anything. Upon arrival to the hotel Expedia said that my room was still booked. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Called to speak to management the next day and they said they had no record of my card being run or the room being canceled. They were supposed to call me back with more information and never called back.

Beer on tap as well as a other drink options available when you check in and friendly staff. My stay here was in the mid-point of a multi-state trip so having self service washer and dryer on site was a godsend. Water takes a good bit to warm up in the shower, but all in all the room was nice and quite large.

Hotel was great. In a safe location near lots of restaurants and bars.Parking was in a garage attached to the hotel, but it does cost $24 a night. Got 2 drink tickets upon checkin for free beer or wine, Lots of choices for wine or craft beers or non-alcoholic drinks. Room was large and clean. Products were nice. Gym was small but had decent equipment and a peleton.

The positives: Both Check in and Check out were easy and smooth and the staff was lovely. The hotel is close to the train station and conveniently located. My room was very clean and quiet, which I appreciated.

But- and this is a big deal- when I pulled back the cover on the bed, the bottom sheet was put on inside out, and both sheets were so wrinkled and bumpy they looked as if they’d been left in a ball after being dried. The threadbare pad underneath was rumpled and sliding off, the sheet did not fit the mattress and so was not covering it completely, and the feather duvet was so old it had flattened into a pancake and was ripped on one corner so feathers were actually spilling out. In fact it was so flat that at first I thought it was another sheet and was about to call the desk to ask for a blanket. Then I held it up to the light and saw clusters of limp feathers here and there.

The pillows were folded into lumps with the cases tucked inside and everything reeked of so much bleach I got dizzy. (At least they were clean.)

I was really surprised and have never seen something like this in a hotel with a good reputation. I don’t blame the staff because they are working with sub par supplies here. But the head of housekeeping needs to do a linen inventory and the hotel needs to invest in new sheets, mattress pads, and duvets. After a long day of travel a comfortable well made bed is important, and this was truly a hot mess.

I wouldn’t go back.

The hotel was very nice and the staff very attentive. The location was great for what we needed. My concern, and reason for not giving a 5 star rating is that the walls are very thin. I could hear the tv and conversations in the adjoining rooms. I'm sure if it had to do with the location of our room in the corner, at the end of the hall, but it's uncomfortable to hear everything going on in the next room.

The heater is set to never go above 74, if you use the thermostat to set it to 78 the fan goes on but the room never heats up. I had to sleep in pants and a sweater. All rooms are this way, booked here about 5 times because its the best location for me but at this point I'm fed up being cold.
The room service just barged in an hour before checkout while I was putting my pants on.
