Had an excellent stay at Taj Vivanta Coimbatore! The location was perfect, making it very convenient to get around. The breakfast spread was amazing, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. A special mention to Ms. Shoing for her exceptional service, and Veena at the reception for making the check-in process smooth and seamless. Kudos to the entire staff for being so friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Highly recommended !

We were rather disappointed by the overall management and stay. The governor of another state was at the property when we checked in. There was no care for other guests. We were not attended to, no welcome, no smiling faces. Nothing. We came after a long drive from Ooty and had to do everything ourselves until we asked for help. Staff looked visibly uninterested. The only staff who were helpful and made the stay pleasant were Ashly and Veena or Veni (if Im not wrong) there were the same shift on 7th April. Room was clean but glasses were dirty. Conditioner was in the soap dispenser and soap was in the conditioner dispenser. A room service coffee order took 40minutes to come and the staff went to the wrong room because he was informed wrongly. And that took another 10 minutes. It was pretty sad experience for such a reputable property.

The previous stays were quite OK for us and we had the rooms maintained but this trip, we had a very bad odour in the room and bath room, that it was suffocating, though they tried their best out of the 3 nights stay only by the end of the second day it became ok. other wise usual stay and enjoyed the swimming pool and the Gym

Great location as it is very central. The room amenities were good. The room itself on the 6the floor was great. It was spacious and nicely decorated.
This is my second stay here and Vivanta did not disappoint us.

Great staff! Great facilities! Always a reliable stay with Taj. Staff were very helpful given the limited cell service for international passengers helped arrange transport to get to places.

Room quality was very good. Buffet was excellent.
Service was average, staff took lot of time to attend to requests. At checkin, they said would give free extra bed but it was charged at checkout. Minibar was overpriced.

Nice hotel, good location. Little things though, like the in room safe that didn't work, tv channels were not available and worst of all, a hotel driver hired to take us to the train station for an early morning train who didn't seem to know the way and didn't speak enough English to understand the instructions on GPS - took away from an otherwise positive experience.

Friendly courteous staff. Good service. The Chinese restaurant food was excellent.

While my experience in 2023 was excellent, this time the room I was assigned didn’t quite feel up to the 5-star standards I had come to expect. It’s possible I may have just received a less ideal room on this occasion.
That said, I have no complaints about the staff or the dining experience—both were consistently excellent, just as I remembered.

Good hotel...but it is a rundown place. There was a very bad smell in the lobby as well as the room.

Try the Chinese restaurant here: superb!
Okay hotel in good location and with a wonderful onsite Chinese restaurant (Red Pearl: superb!). But the room was not super clean: sticky floor, smudged windows, needed a deep clean.

Okay hotel
Hotel staff were friendly. Hotel itself could do with being updated. Rooms are quite tired and decor is outdated. The hotel is not as comfortable as other Vivanta hotels that I have stayed in.

Wonderful stay!!
This review is from my wife but covers my opinion as well. Me and my wife Sita stayed for around 2 weeks at Vivanta Coimbatore in the last week of January and first week of February 2025. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. It is in the best location and very well maintained. The staff is just so warm and friendly and helpful. I cant remember all their names but just want to mention Lily, Remitha, Arun, Ashley and Parthasarathy from the front desk. We needed a room with special assistance and Lily went all out to relocate us to this room. Mr.Arun very kindly provided us a high chair from bar for our comfort.
The Latitude restaurant was exceptional in the matter of breakfast buffet as also the lunch, dinner and a la carte menu. Extremely attentive and helpful staff who immediately attended to our every need.Again dont remember all the names (all of you were nothinng short of excellent) but some we remember are Lily Kikon, Anandi, Vipin, Sunil, Darshan and Ranjith. The Jiva spa was excellent and ably handled by Aasif. The housekeeping team for our floor was just superb catering to our every need. Nathan and Runjhurani big thanks to you for your hard work. So also Prakash.
What else can one say......Superb location, lovely hotel and absolutely amazing staff. More power to the Taj brand. You have done it proud!! Thank you. Will visit again.

Everything was perfect at Vivanta and I can highly recommend that hotel. I loved my spacious room decorated with beautiful colours (no grey, yay!!) , the view, the big swimming pool and the fabulous food. There is a stylish bar and the spa was also great. Staff was superb: efficient, professional, fast and kind.

The team members were not very welcoming. They had no smile on their faces. They looked exhausted. The operator addressed me as \"Sir\" on the call, not acknowledging it's a woman on the call. The complimentary fruits offered was a good idea. The shower & conditioner were excellent. Warmth was missing amongst the team.

I booked 391 square feet room by paying 10k and they game me the 270 sq room. I literally asked the staff. If this is 400 sq feet show me the 270 one. And yhey took me and both looked exactly same. The guy argued no. My room number was 225 and i can challnege that it was not 390 sq feet room. And for a 391 sq feet toom the bathroom was 5x8 or so. Front desk staff were like air india staff. Tjey ruined that Taj name. The manager was kind after i check out to off3r an upgrade. By the time i booked my next 4 fays in Radisson blu. The best so far in coimbatore. Bathroom has bath tub. The one and only hotel with bathtubs in coimbatore lol. If Usa i would have bougnt a measuring tape and measured the room and sued vivanta of cheating me with room size

Pleasant stay at Vivanta
Had a 17 days stay at the Vivanta, overall a pleasant stay, the staff was very attentive to the customer needs, 5 out of 5 for cleanliness and location of the hotel . Ramesh from the housekeeping was very dedicated and well behaved
Few points of improvement
1, Rooms felt very small as compared to other hotels i have stayed before
2. Lack of communication caused me some inconvenience, which i believe the management can take care off
3. Buffet was good and with great spread, just a suggestion, it would be good if the chef can add couple of different dish every day or it becomes very repetitive and boring especially for long stays

The staff are very courteous and helpful. Loved the spa services - the best massage I’ve ever had in a long time but the ambience could’ve been better. Food was good but too pricey. It was also easy to hire a car service at the hotel. The views from my room were beautiful and the room was quite spacious.

Nice location. Excellent service.
Bit aged hotel. Rooms are comfortable.
Pool ,Fittness and Spa are good. Spa bit expensive for Coimbatore. Food at coffee shop was good. The second floor pool side restaurant needs to revamped. Food very average. Bearer’s presentation and service was poor. Furniture fit to be changed. Totally this restaurant does not fit into Taj or Vivanta category.

Excellent stay at Vivanta
Our stay at Vivanta was true to the great Taj hospitality and service experience. We felt pampered by the warmth and service from all the staff right from the entrance to the rooms and in all the restaurants.
The reception staff was always friendly and ready to help with any query.
The staff in even the buffet breakfast were so attentive and offering to bring your choice of food to the table.
The breakfast buffet has an amazing and tasty spread suitable for all and plentiful live counters for hot food.
Would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting the best service and easy connection to places of interest in and around Coimbatore.

It was one of the best experiences of a hotel stay. The check in was a breeze and the entire stay was extremely relaxing and rewarding - could not have asked for anything more. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

I have stayed many times at the Taj Vivanta CBE in the past and have always been very satisfied with the service and cuisine. However this time was different. The staff though polite, seems less experienced, the food though tasty is much more limited especially in South Indian dishes. The room \"electricals\" like plug points are not designed for US plugs and plug adapters were hard to find. My overall sense was one of disappointment given how much I had enjoyed ny previous stays.

Memorable Stay!
It was a great experience from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. They have so many fresh flowers in the lobby the fragrance is very inviting.
They upgraded my stay
Helped me find right transportation to where I needed to go.
Staff are cordial and make sure your stay is comfortable. Breakfast is authentic Indian food and is very tasty.

Great hotel with friendly staff
I stayed at this hotel for more than two weeks and I can only characterize my stay as extremely enjoyable. Mr. Ganesan and Mr. Ansari at the front desk were very helpful during check-in and made sure I was comfortable during my entire stay. The room was clean, well furnished and quiet. I was a frequent visitor to the gym and found the staff friendly and eager to help. The other facilities at the hotel - swimming pool and restaurants - are quite good as well. The hotel is in a very nice location with many restaurants within walking distance. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Coimbatore ... I know that I'll be staying at the Vivanta.

Rooms need renovation.
Room service and breakfast were very good. But rooms desperately need to be renovated. Corridor had a musty smell.

Coimbatore has a good place to stay
Usual star hotel stay, however the food seems quite expensive for its standard, room was comfortable, I used the Gym almost every day, machines are fine, need more space between machines, strict vigilance on children entering gym should be monitored, I will stay again

Dont go for this :-(
Average property to stay in Coimbatore. I would suggest Le Meridien over Vivanta. Little out skirts but food quality is superb.
