The room was small but clean and the bed was firm yet comfortable. Very friendly staff that was able to accommodate any of our requests and the location was central to most necessities that we needed.

The property is nice and has all required aspects for a family stay with kids with a small kids library shelf near the reception, vending machine and dining hall access throughout.
Staff were also very nice and parking was ample and easy.
Only regret for this property was the carpet in the room was quite old, stained and dusty - it needs replacement or deep cleaning. There were left over beverage bottle under the bed from previous occupants.
The bunker bed system was a boon to a family like ours with a 11 year kid but the mattress could be a bit more soft.
Staff were also very nice and parking was ample and easy.

A good clean place for a stopover
Stayed here for one night on the way from Matsumoto to the Fuji 5 lakes area. Free parking provided. The hotel seems new and is located on Route 20.. The standard double room is clean and bright and thus did not feel cramped even though only 14sqm. Aircon and shower were also in good condition.The staff were friendly and spoke limited English. Breakfast was simple but adequate. There are several restaurants in the vicinity for dinner. We tried the BBQ beef restaurant just next door and it was good. If on a tight budget, this can be a good place to stay for visit to the 5 lakes area where hotels are much more expensive. It's about 40 mins drive.

Took the family to a vacation to climb Mt Kita-dake. The overall hotel has great. The staff did not speak much English, but did try to work with you to make sure that your need were met. The hotel even had a laundry room to wash your clothes, which is a nice feature. The rooms are small for three people, Japan hotels are not very big to begin with. The only thing that I can really mention is the bed, they are hard. That is what a traditional Japanese mattress are like, after sleeping on the ground on the mountain for three days, I did not mind coming back to the hotel and sleeping on bed.

The hotel is about a 5-7 minute taxi ride from the train station and is pretty easy to spot with its big sign. The room is simple, but clean and is pretty typical of Japanese business hotels. For the price, it is a good value. Breakfast was not included in our reservation, but we found a quick and tasty Japanese restaurant across the street. Our only complaint is that we tried to email the hotel several times to confirm it would be alright for us to check in late in the evening (around 10pm) and they never responded. Thankfully, it was not an issue, as the desk was staffed when we arrived. Would certainly stay there again.

Nice hotel for the countryside...
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Keep in mind, this is a three star hotel, and the Ritz it is not. It is rather a kind of Japanese motel, located in what is definitely countryside (well, at least for Japan). The service was very good, they are more than willing to help you (even if my Japanese sucks and I ordered the taxi for the wrong time, they helped me straigthen things out). The room was clean and efficient (the bunk bed hovering over the main bed would have made my daughters very happy indeed!), obviously small but then, hey, this is Japan. Breakfast was pretty cheap, pretty good considering the price of the room, however don't expect a full continental breakfast. The area is, well, a highway, but within 5 minutes walk there are a couple of \"Japanese diners\", and the one I visited offered good noodle soup and raviolis. The area is in fact the down side here - it is about $20 for a taxi to whisk you from Isawa-Onsen station to the hotel. Bottom line is if you don't have specific business in the area, you won't have a chance to stay there, but then if you do need to stay in the area, it is a very good option. You will also enjoy the snowy peaks during the winter - nice scenery!

The hotel was small but clean and in a convenient location just off Route 20. We specifically booked the hotel for its reasonable rates and close proximity to Mount Fuji ( 35 Km's) by car. It is a boutique style modern hotel. The rooms are small but supply everything that a larger top ranking hotel would provide. Close to shops. Free car parking, and all amenities close by. Helpful staff with not much English, but willing to play charades to get the required results. Breakfast can be supplied at reasonable rates. Overall a very pleasant two night stay.

The hotel was very nice, and hotel staff very eager to help. Nice breakfast buffet. I thought I would have better access to Mt. Fuji from here... but I guess that is my fault. The location is rather strip-mallish and unexceptional. Could have looked like any off-the-track town in the USA that happened to be surrounded by some exotic restaurants.
