It’s a nice enough property. The staff is kind and the grounds are well maintained. Breakfast is above average. The lady that runs the breakfast is fantastic, really trying to make her customers happy.

However, no Expedia VIP benefit was offered. When I mentioned this during check in, the girl said she will look into it and get back to me. Heard nothing. Food and drinks are extremely expensive here. The resort is a bit remote and it appears ownership is taking advantage. At the mini market down the street, water costs ~20 cents for a half liter. In the room mini bar, $4.80! Only two free bottles were offered during our two night stay.

There are other options closer to town. We will likely try those next time.

This property has immense potential. It's really beautiful, quiet and a short walk to the local beach. Whilst Greece prices are significantly higher during peak season, most hotels I've visited in the islands are able justify the steep prices through their offerings. As some one who travels consistently throughout the year, I felt that the prices didn't match the services and amenities offered here. Having a small amount of laundry done was almost $300. Food and drink prices are incredibly steep (especially for essential drinking water) and despite booking a two bedroom suite, when trying to use the second bedroom for a friend on one of the nights, I was informed that this incurred an additional 300 euro a night fee, bizarre when the only difference it made to the hotel was one extra person at breakfast the next day. The wifi, doesn't reach the gym and isn't strong enough to do zoom meetings or facetimes. As I said, so much potential here, but there are definitely other hotels on the island in a similar price bracket that offer a much more elevated service and nicer amenities and interior design. Hoping that the new ownership does an overhaul of management and the hotel as a whole.

You cannot rely on the room types described here

Did not receive the room type that we had booked on this site. We paid extra for a suite that was supposed to have two beds, \"1 Double Bed and 1 Twin Bed\", with total capacity of 3 people, and were instead given a room with just 1 (inseparable) bed. Upon seeing the room and contacting the staff, they refused responsibility for this discrepancy and said that room types are not guaranteed. The only offer they made was for us to pay double for a second room for that same night. We have been working to get a partial refund ever since, and the hotel has been obstinately fighting us. Be very careful with this hotel if room layout is critical to you.

This property was SO beautiful. The property had everything you need which made it hard to leave. The staff was amazing and were helpful in helping us book a rental and get rides to the port. The restaurant on the property was also excellent. Quick walk to the beach where there are a couple of restaurants.

Convenient for Paroika, with ‘private’ beach

Lovely, elegant, spotless. The average grade for service reflects the breakfast team. Lacked training. Limited inter-personal skills. And the croissants were hard. Despite all that I would return. Excellent reception staff day and night.

Don’t bother with this hotel.

Just don’t bother with this overrated overpriced hotel. We spent 10 nights there and were terribly disappointed..very basic rooms at a high price 480 euro per night on what should have been no more than €180-200 at t most. Restaurant was hugely overpriced and the breakfast was was very basic compared to other expensive places we have stayed. Mini bar and bar prices were just ridiculous with a small bottle of water costing €4 and a whiskey with ice at €12. Staff at main desk don’t seem to care,when I mentioned how basic the rooms were for the price they couldn’t care less. Wifi in this day and age is a simple thing but not here. No wifi in restaurant or pool area.
Just don’t waste your money

I called expedia to cancel the day i arrive to find a substandard false advertising picture that was not close to the room that we were given. teh hotel would not entertain any credit unless Expedia sent them an email which you did not and i am extremely frustrated that i have paid over 3500 dollars and did not stay at this disc=gusting hotel . when we complained they took us to another room and wanted us to pay even more for an upgrade . this pathetic . I am demanding that expedia pick up the phone and call me. when i did call , called the UK office , then was told that i had to speak to USA as my account is a .com account . I finally after 20 min holding got thought to find i was a gold vip member and again was sent to another call centre which i waited on line for 30 minutes . I dont reside in USA and cannot call 1800 number

The hotel misled me and my family and did not stay one night at the hotel
The room was musty
the towels were old and smelly
the cost of 350 pounds did not warrant the location

i have taken a video of the room and will send out on social media
I am happy to forfeit one day but not 4 !!!!

please come back to me urgently

Gorgeous seaside location with an organized beach just steps away. The rooms are stylishly decorated and the grounds lovely. The prettiest landscaping on any resort we have seen. Large, open marbled floor reception area with a beautiful bar and seating area just off towards the pool. Pool area is the perfect spot to watch the sunsets and is large and well designed. Delicious breakfast!

The staff at this hotel was excellent and very accommodating however the hotel itself lacks many details to be rated or considered anything close to a four or five star. The bed was very uncomfortable. The showerhead sprayed water all over the entire bathroom which indicates this room was never checked before a guest arrived. Also there was a green light on the cooling unit that shines right into your face all night long. The hotel does not offer any free pick up from the port which is very disappointing. They also want to charge you 5 Euro for a very small bottle of water which is ridiculous.

The Secret Garden

The property was absolutely stunning!! Literally the \"awe factor\" when I saw the pool. They take great pride in the lawns and gardens here.

The pool faces the beach which is a 10 min or so walk.

The staff was very friendly especially The bartender, Dimitris!

My room was beautiful and a great size, only downfall was the bathroom and the bath towels were the size of hand towels... I actually thought it was a handicap bathroom at first, but didn't see the bars on the wall. Just super basic.

Other than that, everything was perfect! I'd stay here again! Loved the location!

Relaxing oasis

Yria hotel is a beautiful property with gorgeous gardens and a tranquil pool. The rooms are very comfortable and most of the staff very accommodating. The menu is a bit limited and food options are rather expensive but there is a clean beach 50 meters away with taverna and bar options. (They are not connected to hotel) The beach is organized with umbrellas and seating. The food is also amazing at these beach restaurants. Yria is a short taxi ride away from port, 10-15 Euros max. If you get transport from hotel they will charge you 50 euros. Although I did not use the spa, the area looked very nice. It seemed to be a private area for one person or a couple, at a time. A bit different than other spas I have been to. Overall, Yria is a very nice resort, relaxing and inviting. Its best to rent a car or a quad as walking to other beaches or town is too far.

Great experience! Definitely recommend the Yria!

As soon as we arrived at Yria hotel the staff came out to greet us in to reception. We sat by the pool with our welcome drinks and snacks, had a short tour and even a little weather update (the Greek Islands get windy in August with the Meltemi winds) before being taken to our room. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. Throughout our whole stay the staff's service was brilliant. The small beach near the hotel is quiet and relaxing (on a good day the waves are great - like being in Hawaii!) and the hotel's pool is unbelievably relaxing which is exactly what we wanted on our holiday. The tennis courts were never booked up so we had a few games during our stay. The breakfast was of a good standard and the restaurant food was also lovely, though slightly over priced in our view. To truly enjoy the island it really is important to hire a car - Yria hotel is difficult to get to otherwise and a car is needed to really explore the island, Parikia, Naoussa, Antiparos etc. Overall a great stay on the island made so much better by our stay at Yria hotel!

NIGHTMARE

The pictures of the hotel that are online are not reality..NO INTERNET SERVICE and NOT even with a CABLE...The entire island had internet except YRIA HOTEL..
MANAGER DOES NOT CARE and he was RUDE..A/C was leaking in the room. My son had a fold out bed when I was paying extra($100) for the third person in my room. When the room MAX was 4 people and my booking was for 3 people.

Gorgeous hotel, lovely rooms, utterly wonderful pool. Beds a bit hard, but that seems to be the norm in Greece. Love that you can walk to the beach. Removed from town, but only a quick taxi away.

Excellent for a relaxing holiday

We stayed at the Yria hotel for a week in September 2012. It's a lovely resort on a quiet island (well in September anyway). The facilities are good, the rooms spacious, clean and the staff helpful. It truly is five minutes from it's own beach, which is lovely and where we always managed to find a free sun lounger. The spa is small but perfectly formed and the treatments were excellent. On the down side the bathrooms are small and the baths themselves tiny. Also the port is a taxi (8 euros) or a hire car ride away but other than that we had a lovely relaxing stay here. Recommended.

The Yria hotel was very welcoming and the setting and pool area was lovely. However, there were hardly any other guests staying which on the one hand was good as we have a 5 yr old which meant he could play in the pool without disturbing anyone but it meant there was very little buzz - I guess it may have been symptomatic of the economic crisis. A couple of irritants included the lack of a childrens menu (though the staff did produce a toasted cheese sandwich on request albeit they charged a small fortune for it) and the childrens play area mentioned in the hotel information was nowhere to be found. Fortunately the beach was a 5 minute walk down the road where there were a couple of good beach bars and tavernas and the sun loungers were reasonably priced. Overall a very nice hotel though extremely pricey if you want coffee/drinks from the bar.

Das Hotel lebt vom ehemaligen Glanz der Eröffnung vor 30 Jahren. Zwar ist es gepflegt, aber weder Einrichtung noch kulinarischer Service entsprechen der heutigen Zeit - und das vor allem nicht zu den Preisen!

L'hôtel Yria est un hôtel avec un jardin er une très belle piscine
Le pdj est à un prix incompréhensible 35 € par pers !!!
Les prestations hormis le cadre ne correspondent pas à un 5 *
Le personnel est souriant mais sans initiative
Pas de proposition de transfert contrairement aux autres hotels, pas de proposition de boissons même si vous restez 1h au salon
Un bon hôtel pour qui recherche le calme mais sans âmes

Ok hotel, close to the beach

This hotel is not a 5-star hotel.
It has a nice location close to paraporos beach, but it is way to expensive relative to what is delivered.
The staff is very friendly, and the food is ok, but expensive (6 euro for a espresso).
The cleaning was below average.
