We had a good offer so the price was really nice. The food was very good with many options. The room might be small for 3 persons but you usually would want to go arround the island or the facilities. You should take note that this is made for vacation during good weather. If the weather is bad the closed facilities (eg restaurant) have limited capacity and you might need to wait for a freee table. When it stopped raining and the outside tables were open you did not have to wait .In general it is a very good all-inclusive option.

We went on holiday start of the APRIL i think, resort was just opened hence the facilities were trying to clean the pool, the children entertainment teams were just arriving and also the night entertainment was not started. It was bit of disappointment but the overall food and staff and transportation was really good.

Having travelled to Ixia for around 19 years and stayed in various hitels invthe area. In my opinion this Hotels Management significantly lacked planning and preparation for opening Hotel for the number of guests arriving which led to failure in providing even services and facilities. Accommodation terrible, it went from living in a fridge to a sauna over the course of 3 weeks. When complaining told it was an old building that didnt have the capacity to cope with heating needs in public areas ie bar and Air Conditioning wouldnt come on until 1 May which all of above was apparently justified by a disclaimer on their website. I will say food was excellent and staff (not direct reception) were nice. Maintenance guys dealing with the fact we were locked out of our room 5 times were brilliant. Read other reviews which will support this.

Depending on what floor you get, can smell some sewer, and depending on the room you get, might get cigarette smoke from the vents. If you want to sign up for any excursions, make sure to have euros/cash ready. They don't accept cards which is very inconvenient. Overall staff was great.

Good hotel, not 5 stars.

The hotel was great but there were few problems that made it less than 5 starts for me. First, the A/C was too weak no matter how strong we set it, all the way down with the temperature, it was still very hot in our room. The hallways and other halls are not receiving too much A/C and it was too hot generally speaking.
Second, the elevators are far from what you expect to find in a 5 stars hotel. Old, small and super SLOW. Difficult to handle EVERY DAY. It really damaged our experience as we had to wait so much for the elevators for the most simple things we needed.
Last, the cleaning of the pools could have been much much better, specifically the kids pool. It had algae like rubbish in the water that actually left stains on our clothings!
It is worth mentioning that the team was super friendly and welcoming, yet the problems above are way above their head to solve.

Great stay… big hotel but always clean tables and immaculate buffet at breakfast. Food options all day, cooked to order and staff are proactive in offering drinks (unusual for all inclusive !). Rooms are small but clean, new, with all you need. Make sure you request in advance if you need a specific bed type .. I booked a twin for me and my son but were allocated a double and had to wait until the next day to get a twin. Staff were polite and helpful though and the themed restaurant concept of tasting menus is great! Would highly recommend !

This hotel has recently been updated and feels new and modern. It is not a 5 star hotel and I believe can only claim this due to the spa and helipad. However it is a nice hotel and very little would improve it. For example - fighting for sunbeds - observing daily arguments poolside doesn’t make for a 5 star. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Used water/wine glasses turned upside down unwashed, limited toiletries never replaced (used day one of 2 weeks and not replaced).. beds made with sheet 6 inches from bottom of bed (had to fix every night and I’m only 5ft 7). Asked housekeeping for replacement shower gel and got told we had to ask at reception - definitely not 5 star service.

On a whole I did like the hotel though and the facilities for our teens/tweens was great. Food was fair for all inclusive (few too many queues) although note the special restaurants were set menus which were quite unique and we could only visit once in 14 days. We only did the Italian and Asian - both were enjoyed by the adults but not the kids.
The SPA staff daily walked the pool trying to sell services which made it feel a bit downmarket.
The beach was nice but all beaches this side of the island are rocky so we didn’t sit there most days.
The location was a bit quiet for our kids - we were a party of 10 so had to get 3 taxis to Rhodes town - meant we didn’t do it daily but it’s definitely where all the fun is at in the evening.
Overall it is a nice 4star hotel

Staff at this hotel were so friendly and attentive. Food options were excellent. Something for everyone. Salads were so fresh and drink choice was great. We dont usually stay at all inclusive hotels, and tend to opt for a villa, but was pleasantly suprised at how lovely the hotel is.
Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Awesome place - lovely room, modern clean and comfortable. Great food and good variety. Staff were amazing and very, very customer focused. Pools were clean and well managed, entertainment fun and engaging while not too intrusive. Bands were great! Felt very safe and jogged all over the local area... Could not be better - especially for the price!!! We will definitely come back, as it was early April we might give it a go again in October to see if the sea is warmer!!! Hugely recommend wandering around the old town and the world famous harbour! Looks like a film set at night if you're into your selfies, and cat lovers like us will be in heaven! Very, very highly recommended.

Not a 5 star unfortunately, they have refurbished but did a terrible job. I stayed in a 4 star close to Rhodes that was much better so avoid this one. Very busy even at the start of April. Staff were friendly and polite and worked very hard and food was good and varied that’s why I rated 3stars otherwise would have to be lower. Don’t count on the heated pool, it’s cold even though it’s advertised as heated.

Only negatives were that the gym equipment was dated and most of it broken so couldn't use it. room cleaning was minimal,no bed change for a 5 night stay which was a bit disappointing. The staff in the dinning area and reception at Akti Imperial were exceptional. They were patient, understanding and always sought a way to help.
The faciity appeared to be gearing up for the tourist season; main areas were very clean, rooms too. Though not all restaurants were open from the start of our stay, they were half way through. Got to sample a few.
The hotel is located close to the beach on the western coast line and boasts some stunning views of the sea and the mountains in Turkey, from sunrise to sunset. Getting a room with a sea view is a big must in my book.
We hired a car, the hotel had free parking and it was always easy to get a parking spot.
The hotel has very good quality tennis courts. While it was possible to borrow rackets and balls, often the guests had lost balls so was not possible to play always - if you are keen on tennis, then i would suggest taking your own set of tennis balls. There was a basket ball court, i did not play so cannot comment. Hotel has a games area that hosts two ping pong tables... this is fairly popular with the guests. The hotel has a well equipped gym which is well used and kept sanitised.
The hotel has several fantastic outdoor pools for all the family to have fun. The indoor heated pool was also a good size.

All in all a great place to stay with the whole family and the staff make for a lovely memorable holiday experience.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the hotel. The room wasn't very clean and I had to request the refill of the minibar twice.
Regrettably, I got my earrings, some lingerie and some makeup stolen. I haven't reported it because they clearly stated that they are not responsible for any thief but it is shocking that we can't even get our room cleaned without any stolen items.

The reception area a bit clinical and white. Very clean hotel & pools were always clean. The chairs in bar area could be comfier & sunbeds could do with cushions. Paper cups outside - alcohol didn’t quite taste right. Better inside with glasses. Food choice was really good. Wouldn’t call it 5* but def 4*. Entertainment was ok. Rooms were spacious & clean. Most of the staff were very pleasant.

We had an incident at the pool restaurant and we were treated very badly to the point that they made my sister and I cry. Keep in mind we’re both adults. The food and beverage manager and a security staff were very rude to us. All we wanted is to move a table to the shade and we were yelled at. Even after we moved to a different area they followed us and spoke about us to the rest of the staff. My family and I were extremely offended. No guest at any hotel should be treated like that. I will not go back to this hotel! I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. I travel all around the world and I understand different cultures but they need to learn some basic manners and respect.

A good 4 star resort

A good 4 star, not 5 star as advertised. Very clean with lots of sanitizer at various locations. All staff also wearing masks. Buffet had a good selection, restaurants were all a bit rubbish - they only had a fixed tasting menu and it wasn't all that great. Amenities provided though the shower gel, soap and toilet roll were all in quite cheap dispensers much like a Travelodge. Mini bar is provided and free of charge, you can opt to have this refilled daily. Drinks are branded but they're the cheaper end of brands you wouldn't go for unless there was no alternative. Close to the airport and convenient for a short transfer, would go again if for a short stay, wouldn't bother for any longer.

The staff was very friendly and the location is great. They have a lot of activities and many huge pools. Unfortunately the pools weren’t heated and a bit cold to go into. The beach was nice with lots of chairs but there was no bar and we had to walk back to the hotel for drinks. Rooms were nice but our whole floor smelled like sewage. The showers were good but the glass was too small and got the bathroom wet. We had a large party and it was difficult to make reservations so we ate mainly at the buffet. The food was mixed some good some bland. Overall we enjoyed our stay

All in all, we had a good time. stayed 4 nights on a \"super\" all inclusive. super in quotes as this feels and tastes like every other all inclusive we've been to in Greece. more specifically: you can only book 1 theme restaurant per stay, the promised, fully re-stocked mini-bar consists of exactly 4 cans of sugary soda, 2 beers and small wine. it is missing the most important ingredient in August - water bottle. you'll need water in Akti because the a/c simply doesn't cut it. it is virtually non existent in lobby, elevators and other common areas. a/c in rooms is so-so if you keep the keycard and blinds closed. This had improved slightly towards the end of our stay as may or may not be related to the number of vacancies.

Food is more about quantity. there's a lot of it but finding something that tastes really good is a bit of a murder mystery. restaurants and dining areas are spacious/clean and and not as chaotic as other places we've been. the food just tastes.. not very good. how can you go wrong with an orange juice, coffee, an omelet? in Akti eggs taste a bit like rubber. You won't stay hungry however, there's around the clock french fries, DIY salad bar and one of the best pizzas. There's literally a fresh pie out every 5 minutes. They should call this hotel the Akti Pizza Parlor.

Entertainment was pretty good, with a bunch of dancers working their butt off almost every night.

Pool and beach areas were good.

Overall, feels like a 4 star resort.

Nothing bad, just a bit of suggestion. It would have been good if the food items were not repetitive and stale(sometimes) also vegetarian pasta would have been great for vegetarian like me & my family. Otherwise it was a perfect holiday stay. It’s a delight to see helicopter 🚁 landing just in front of your room window on the roof especially for the kids (though wondering what was on with it).

This is one of the best all inclusive I have stayed in. And when they say all inclusive they mean it! Cocktails including margaritas and pina coladas and a lot of ‘top shelf’ sprits are included. Food is available ALL the time, with two outdoor pool bars, one which serves freshly baked pizza from their pizza oven and the other which literally has wine and beer on tap. There is also an indoor coffee/snack bar and a terrace bar. Ice cream with toppings is always available to the delight of my 3 children.
There are a number of pools to choose from although it is the usually early morning scrum for sun beds. Also the wooden sun beds can get uncomfortable after a while - I recommend nabbing the metal ones if you can. The beach area is gorgeous- again with its own beach bar serving soft drinks.
The family rooms are fine but none of them have a nice view - ours looked out into some broken wooden pallets and the loading bay. Also the kids beds are rock hard but mattress toppers are available if you ask reception.
The only thing I can criticise is that the gym is too small for the amount of food and drink available! A couple of times when I went all the treadmills (4 but one was broken) were in use.
One other thing I’d like to mention is that the hair salon is excellent. If you are thinking of treating yourself to a cut and colour while you are there I can’t recommend Maria enough.

Too busy and didnt feel like 5 star. Mealtimes were like being in a very busy canteen, very stressful! Both my kids had food poisoning and were ill for a few days.
Guests would take all the sunloungers by 8:30 am and leave their towels reserving it the whole day even if they were off to the beach or to eat.

24 hour snack bar great. Pools great. Staff friendly. Clean.
Wooden sunbeds a bit uncomfortable. Metal sunbeds better.
Gym great. Indoor pool great. Spa great - free 15 minute treatment.
Would definitely go back again - best place we have ever stayed in.
We had a 9th floor suite - which was double size and worth the bit extra that we paid as there were three of us.

If had to pick out a negative it would be that the bar in the lobby of the hotel are a bit funny about you going up to order drinks - kind of ignore you for a while and you feel a bit awkward. So you sit and wait for service - which can take a long time to get served and then to get your order. If you are not on one of the close tables - they just don't come to you sometimes.
We found the staff in the 24 hour bar - where they also sell alcohol - much friendlier and quicker and happy for you to go up to the bar as well as getting table service. Also they have some really good entertainment there - I mean small scale - like a great guitar player and singer for example - which is actually not too loud and really adds some atmosphere.

Staying at Akti Imperial All Inclusive hotel was a very pleasant holiday for me and my wife. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location of the hotel on the beach and near the old town is great. We received a very spacing room on the 9th floor, with a great panoramic see-view of the beach from our open balcony and the room was very clean, organized, and comfortable with very good bed. The food was really good and rich and there was a lot of choice where we could just help ourselves to anything. There were 24 hour restaurants by the pool where we could get food and drinks whenever we wanted to.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite, especially in the reception and the main restaurant.
We loved this holiday! We surely will stay at this hotel again.

Perfect place to relax all day, every day.

The food was great, all fresh and nothing processed. Endless drinks, great staff and amenities. Hire a car for the day if you want to go further afield or take taxi or bus for a short ride to Rodos and the Old Town, which itself is amazing. The rooms are spacious, with great facilities and views of the sea and mountains.

A good 4 star hotel. Spotlessly clean everywhere staff friendly and very helpful. This hotel was just too big for us 900 rooms over 9 floors.
No atmosphere due to size and design. Libby and bar area just too big and bright. No back ground music or plants or colour.
Says it has 4 themed restaurants it actually has 2 poolside cafes that come the evening change the colour of the table cloths and then serve either Greek Asian or Italian food. No theme at all. That said the food was good and plenty of it.
Very busy main road in front and to the side of the hotel and noisy at night.
Rhodes Old Town at night is a must see only a few euros by taxi.
An OK stay but just not what we’re used to.
A family in a budget will love this hotel.

Had a lovely stay in Akti Imperial Resort & Spa Hotel. From check in to check out everything went smoothly. The staff are very helpful and approachable. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The food was good and had a wide selection of dishes and drinks. The pool was cleaned every morning and I wasn’t that busy.
We dined at 2 out of 4 Thematic restaurants. This was an experience. Make sure that you don’t eat anything before the dinner as there are a few courses to have. Had a wide selection of wine and spirits. On the whole we had a great stay. We will be back and I would highly recommend the Akti.

Nice hotel close to city centre! Very good meal. A good hotel with great opportunities.High-quality service and good cuisine. The hotel is located near city center. I enjoyed a wide choice of dishes for breakfast. There is free Wi-Fi and guests can visit the workout facility and swimming pool for free.

Needs Some Changes

The Doors on the toilets are Opaq Glass so your silhouette can be seen whilst using the toilet or you can watch others , and a much clearer view can be had if the glass is wet !!! also been seen through the gaps .
Also doors in room need locks otherwise others keep wandering in and out .
Drinks very good PROPER ONES and a free mini bar in room
Very Food good , cleanliness very good , avoid the wooden sun beds go for aluminium ones , plenty of sun beds to be had , not quite sure if it’s worthy of 5 stars . But overall very happy .

Fantastic Newly Refurbished Hotel

Ultra modern large hotel. Staff all fantastic. 24 hour all
Inclusive fantastic as you could get something nice to eat at any time of the day. Branded drinks also good. Free mini bar in room. 3 pools to choose from and no problems getting sun beds.
Main buffet restaurant excellent, probably the best all inclusive food I’ve experienced (we always stay 4/5*), poolside restaurant good too. My only negative is the a la carte restaurants - whilst food is nice I found courses too rushed and lukewarm. The hotel mgmt really needs to address this as many people I spoke to during our stay said the same. Would be far better having a menu to choose your courses rather than the set taster courses on offer.
My husband used the spa and gym - said spa was lovely but gym very basic equipment.
Our room had a lovely sea view (823) was ultra modern and clean. As there was 3 of us not much room but adequate for our requirements.
Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY

Lovely hotel and great people!

I would highly recommend this hotel, the hotel itself is lovely and clean and very modern.
The food was amazing, including the themed restaurants, tasting menus with up to 12 courses!
Sam and the entertainment team were great, might recommend that they had a DJ night instead of the dance troupe, to encourage the teenagers to bond, and have a little dance.

Best holiday ever

Akti imperial was a lovely holiday for our family of five. We had a lovely view of the beach from our balcony and the rooms were very clean and organised. The food was really nice and there was a lot of choice where you can just help yourself to anything. There was lots going on by the pools like different sports and aerobics. The kids at the resort could rent giant floaters and have fun rounds the pools. There were 24 hour restaurants by the pool where you could get food and drinks whenever you wanted to. There were lifts to go to each floor and there were 10/11 floors in total. On floor minus one there was a spa, a shop, a 7d cinema, an escape room and an arcade. There was also a play room for kids in the morning and afternoon called the kids club. The nighttime shows were good and the staff were very friendly and funny. Our family loved this holiday!

Food- very good, variety, something for everyone, at anytime you can get something to eat
Staff- fantastic, ready to help, quick to respond and solve any complaints raised, almost all staff understands and speaks english
Facilities- very good facilities- gym, table tennis, long tennis where u can also play football, loads of swimming pool for everyone, loads of sunbeds, children play area with free child care etc
Entertainment- Good especially for the kids
Generally very good hotel. Will always go there

Minuses
- the covering of the bath is not wide enough to cover entire bath so bathroom floor always wet after bathing if u bath after the housekeepers have left
_no shuttle bus to take people in and out of the hotel. You have to use taxi or the local buses
- the reception seems not to be of help for people wanting to explore the important places. In other hotels I have been to, there are always brochures for clients on the important tours/places to visit once you are there.although you can see this on the net it is always proper if you can speak to hotel staff who have been there for long
-most of the food although good was a bit too salty for me
- lift always full and closes too early once it is open

Pluses far outweigh the minuses so will recommend

Excellent family hotel close to the beach.

My family of five have just spent one week at this wonderful Clean, spacious hotel. The staff were very helpful and polite. Nothing seemed a problem when things were needed.
Food was very good. The spa had excellent treatments to offer.would recommend a massage.
Only one small downside- really could do with proper coffee machines for a good cup of coffee and teapots would be lovely for breakfast too.
Definitely would go back to stay .

Plenty to do for all ages...newly renovated

We travelled as family of 4, our teens were 17 and 19. We booked 2 rooms which were next to one another which was great.
The hotel is All Inclusive which was great having two hungry teens, and meant it was easy enough getting drinks etc throughout the day. The main hotel restaurant had a good selection of tasty food every night, and there were 4 small scale restaurants also which served food in a manner similar to having many taster size plates brought to the table....there was a Greek, Italian, Asian and Fish. We dined in each of them and all were nice, but our favourites were Asian and Fish - probably because we could get lots of Greek food in the main restaurant anyway which was lovely.
The Animation Team deserve a special shout out, they were amazing, full of energy and made our teens right at home from the first day. They had a group of friends in no time at all. There's plenty to do for the adults too, and the evening entertainment was either the animation team or other acts brought in, but all were very good.
There's still a few snagging jobs going on at the Akti Imperial in Rhodes since it opened in May, we had two rooms between the four of us, and one shower tray did leak water and needed a towel putting down as well as the bath mat whilst the other room was fine, but generally all the concerns I had read about in the first few weeks of it opening have been put right now and we had a wonderful time.
Great location for Rhodes city too, only 8 euros in taxi !

nice modern hotel close to the sea.

modern hotel with excellent facilities in the hotel. good entertainment at night . location was great too, near the old town, just a short taxi ride. lunch and breakfast was good but dinner wasn't great. a bit limited to choice. not enough dessert choices either. there was a games arcade and an indoor kids playroom. pool tables and also table tennis available. very kid friendly hotel.

Loved this hotel and all the staff, it offers plenty in more ways than I can explain. Food is great, with plenty of choice.
Pools are clean and great fun.
Plenty of sunbeds.
The hotel is fresh and clean, rooms are cosy and new, bed is comfy.
The staff are excellent, all polite and will try and help in any way.
The animation team were excellent, with plenty to offer throughout the day for both children and adults. Our favourite night was the Michael Jackson night, it was very good.
I didn't get all names at the pool bars but there two who were very friendly, one been Fabien and the other was Sylvia. These two were one reason why this hotel is great.
Lifts were a pain. But with 1600 guests there bound to be problems.
At the end of the day it's you and your family that makes the holiday, you can choose and look for faults or you can enjoy yourself and have fun, because that's what holidays are for. That's the path we chose and we loved it.

Hotel was nice. The food was a little repetitive there were choices but many of the same. Swimming pool area fantastic and entertainment team were very good. Very engaging. The cocktails needed to be made freshly and not premade. Pool side bar food always the same. And children's food limited.

Had a very happy, fun filled week at Akti Imperial. Staff were amazing, hotel is lovely, room was very comfortable with fantastic beds. Food was great and very varied and hotel shops were good and reasonably priced (didn’t venture into the fur boutique so can’t comment on that). So content hardly left the hotel other than to visit the nearby Lohan Beach House which serves great Prosecco.

Booked as a party of 4 (2 couples)...Lovely and newly refurbished big spacious modern hotel...rooms nice apart from 1 room hadn’t had the bedding changed!...food good, plenty choice and staff friendly...entertainment not so good I’m afraid...also singers and dancers performing under a tv with World Cup football playing isn’t ideal...felt sorry for them...pools and pool area nice and clean with one life guard/first aider...beautiful seafront location with an underpass from Hotel to beach...not much around Hotel to go to ie; bars, restaurants and shops...€8 for a taxi into Rhodes Old Town which is beautiful and would recommend visiting...overall we had a lovely chill out week but would possibly try a different location.

Overall hotel is not bad- daily improvements are being made.
I think next season the hotel will run much more smoothly!
At the moment there are some teething issues.

Great value for money

Lovely staff, new and clean, plenty of good food, very handy 11 EURO taxi ride into Rhodes Old Town, a must see, and we also visited acropolis at Lindos, doable in a morning, not too far either.
Pool sun beds looked lovely but really uncomfortable, the hotels spot on beach has comfortable free of charge ones, they have slipped up on pool beds and should get rid of them or provide padded tops.
For what we paid, very happy!

Had 3 power cuts one for about an hour virtually no emergency lighting in this hotel,we were on the 9th floor when the power cut i cam out the room into complete darkness 1 light by emergency exit 40 yards away,emergency exit had a notice saying staff only,i wouldn't stay here again.
Beach bar! beach is like a cinder car park and bar No Alcohol (then not really a bar is it)
Food was great
only had 1 beer and was flat as water but did have premium spirits,cocktails pre-made by the jug awful

great all-inclusive value

the hotel is a very large complex designed for holiday tourism. The amenities are good, the restaurant offers ample choice, including vegan food. The quality of the food is average, though. The hotel is family-friendly, but not so suitable for business travelers. End-of-May the hotel was already very busy, with long lines forming at the elevators (5 of them!) and at the restaurant. Free choice of drinks throughout the day!

Les chambres sont sympas, mais les lits ne sont pas hyper confortables et surtout les draps housse n'arrivent pas jusqu'en bas du matelas. Nous avions une autre chambre pour 3 personnes : il manquait l'oreiller, la couette, les serviettes, et dans notre chambre, nous n'avions pas de gel douche, nous avons dû le réclamer.
Ce qui m'a le plus contrarié : fermeture des piscines à 18h ! 18h, en plein été, quand il fait chaud et jour encore pls heures derrière. Et le mec qui ferme par des cordes vous met dehors \"out\" sans amabilité ! Même l'accès mer est fermé à 19h ! Du n'importe quoi !
L'option repas / boisson est vraiment bien... même si cela peut toujours être perfectible (boisson libre service dans le 2eme snack pour gagner du temps, par exemple.
L'option d'animation est limitée et très redondante (flechettes, water-polo et aqua zumba quotidiennement).
Les live de musique ont tous été vraiment très chouettes ! (Juste le volume un peu trop fort, dommage.) Il y a 5 restaurants en plus du grand self. Nous en avons essayé 3 (italien, asiatique et grec) : très très bien, très bon ! Le grand self est bon fumeur, même dehors : super !
Du très bien, et du moins bien...

Hôtel standing 4 étoiles tout au plus. Bar et restaurant correct. Restaurants à thèmes très bons. Chambres corrects mais sans plus.
Employé gentil sauf celui qui ferme la piscine.
Fermeture des piscines à 18h, avec un employé mal aimable qui vous aboye dessus \"OUT\" pour vous faire sortir de la piscine. Donc Hôtel 5 étoiles, si vous partez en visite, impossible de se rafraîchir à la piscine au retour...
