It’s an underrated hotel which is actually far better than Radisson or Holiday Inn in Delhi. I had a 4 day stay here with my family and the infrastructure and service is much better than many hotels in Delhi.
It’s going to be my first choice on my next trip to Delhi for sure.

Excellent team of professionals facilitating a warm and welcome environment. Enjoyed the vast selection of food items for breakfast as well as dinner. The chefs are to be commended for the delicious and diverse fairs. The servers are very attentive and ensure ease of service at every meal. This applies to both Ssence and Sampan, the two restaurants on the property.

stayed here as was hotel where my group trip would start and came a day early. About 40 minutes from airport, and very tight security to enter hotel-guard at gate, bag and body scanning done-arrived late night. easy check in, room was large, very clean, well appointed-really lovely. restaurant had wonderful buffet style meals-food excellent with many choices. neighborhood outside of hotel dusty, shabby shops, lots of traffic on busy road-didn't feel safe to wander as a woman alone.

It is a beautiful elegant old hotel. The only problem was that it does not have heat and I visited during the cold part of winter. Ask them for a space heater when you arrive and they will give you one. It is a bit noisy as it is on a Main Street. But the rooms, dining area, included breakfasts, and the like were great. Fantastic coffee in the coffee/tea shop in the lobby.

I would not consider this hotel 5 stars. It was fine for our purposes, but is very dated. It was in the perfect spot for our needs in Delhi, so I’d probably stay again. It’s just not what I would expect for a 5 star hotel. The rooms were cold and had no heat. Furnishings dated. Old looking carpet on the floor. If they want to be seen as 5 star by guests, they would need to update the rooms, improve quality of beds, and deal with the temperature issue.

Hotel is in a great location send is about 10/15min drive away from the main attractions in central Delhi which make it very convenient. The buffet breakfast spread was also very good with live cooking counters. The rooms and some areas of the hotel are abit dated but make sure to request a newly renovated room on the 5th floor!

Average hotel , noisy and could not sleep

The hotels looks nice from inside , but as soon as we approached the front desk that’s when things start to go downhill, the staff on first impression are arrogant and don’t smile. Not what I expected upon arriving.
They don’t give us the welcoming feeling.
I traveled with my family of four from UK and booked two separate rooms. The hotel was doing renovations work on the floor above our room and they decided to place us on the floor below. On our first day we were out in the morning till evening so did not hear the noise .

I wasn’t going to complain, there were a few flaws which I overlooked such as the lifts are rubbish and kept stopping at every floor, when you go for a swim there are swimming lessons occurring for non hotel guests, the instructors constantly shouting so you can’t relax at the pool. The front security staff looked grumpy and over worked!! , they only started smiling after I made the first move.
The thing which threw me over the tipping point was on our second day , the construction work continued until 8pm at night and the noise is unbearable. There’s constant banging and drilling and felt our ceiling above was going to collapse. You can’t hear yourself think or get any sleep. I made a complaint but they did not provide a refund only slight reduction on my bill and this was after I vented my frustration to several managers and constant waiting around while they delegate their authority to the next manager.

This Hotel not for me.

Avoid the hotel if you can

The stay was average, but the last day was very disappointing. I had booked a car for 9:30 to the airport directly with the hotel, which showed up 45 minutes late. Very little response from the hotel staff.
Additionally, I had already checked out and was having coffee in the reception area when someone from the hotel came up to me to say they had forgotten to charge me for a laundry service. The amount was not the issue, but I had paid the laundry service when the clothes was delivered to me, and not added it to my room. I tried to explain this to them several times, but they kept insisting that I owed 6 dollars. In the end I just gave in and paid the 6 dollars but this was very annoying. Instead of having a nice cup of coffee with my friend before leaving, I ended up in a discussion over laundry bills and upset for a very late ride to the airport. I would avoid this hotel.

We stayed at the Suryaa in order to be close to the Fortis Escort Hospital where my brother was undergoing a complex medical procedure. It was convenient for that reason. The front desk staff were not very helpful when needed. However, the housekeeping staff taking care of our 2 rooms were a delight...namely Mahesh and his team. They were super accomodating and supportive.

The Hotel needs serious upgrades, the rooms are falling apart, bathroom are dirty.
Towels and Lenin must be 10 years old.
Stinking dirty carpets.
However the staff in the morning was good, the staff in the night were sleeping, couldn't even send the luggage in the room inspite of they offering to drop it.

Good Hotel, but a bit out of the way in a city well know for its terrible traffic. The service is terrific and all the staff is very attentive. If you drop a fork the new one will be there in seconds. The food was good, the wine by the glass not so good and that and location is my only grip. If its close to where you need to be great, if not ......

Run down and overpriced. Room didn't have the facilities as promised in the reservation. Don't book a Club Room expecting to get access to the Club Lounge - it's shut. Don't be lured by the idea of afternoon tea - it's a toasted sandwich. Don't expect that a deep soak bathtub will actually mean your room has a bath. Oh and don't expect hot water every day.

I have stayed at this property number of times and each was a pleasant stay. The staff is very courteous and friendly especially Mr. Arun Sharma, the duty manager who is extremely customer focused and goes out of his way to ensure the hotel guests are comfortable and satisfied with their stay

They have an awesome restaurant and a reasonably good bar. The breakfast is sumptuous

Nice room and clean. Complementary with enough drinking water, coffee and tea. The hotel is located near fast food restaurants, such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Domino Pizza as well as other local restaurants and a night market. It is convenient. However, the hotel is quite far from the airport, so please spare your time travelling from and to the airport for at least 1 hour.

Most horrible experience, stay away!!!!!

Most unprofessional, unsanitary, disgusting, and lying place and staff! We booked it online and trusted Hotels.com and they rated themselves 5-star. We asked to check out within 30 minutes of checking in, they gave us a so called, upgraded room,which was disgusting. Thankfully,I took a five minute video of the place and the dirt build up all over such as the phones,carpets,tables,and their coffee maker. I will find a way to post it also. Their breakfast was cold, the utensils were dirty, staff was unprofessional. After a long argument they finally let us check out early and told us that they will refund us the remaining nights, then when I called to see when the refund will be processed, they changed their mind and told Hotels.com that they will not refund us anything. Please stay away from this horrible place and share it with your friends and family.

The Suryaa is a tourist hotel -- many people pack into it from package tours and school groups and others as well. It has a veneer of being upscale but isn't quite as nice as say the Trident chain or one of the really high end places. There were some scuffs and scratches -- some of the electrical outlets didn't work, the air conditioning went out one night and the food while good wasn't as spectacular as at the Trident. It was also a bit pricey given the level of finish. That said the service was very good, especially the concierges and the housekeeping. The pool was top notch. The restaurant choices were a bit limited -- a pricey Chinese place up top (with not really the rooftop views advertised) and a good if sometimes uneven downstairs multiethnic place. The location was good - Delhi traffic is bad everywhere but you're about 10-20 minutes from Humayun's Tomb and Nizamuddin, maybe 20 more to Qutb Minar and Purana Qila, so not too bad at all. Just around the corner from the Lotus Temple too.

I arrived early in the night, but personnel was courteous, but that changed when I told them they gave us the wrong type of bedroom.
During my stay I encountered many problems, and no offer was made on their part to provide a voucher for a 30CND $ breakfast or even a price reduction for our dissatisfaction
1. Lightbulbs flickered continuously
2. Even at the 5th floor we heard all the outside noise at night and could hardly sleep. Lots of stray dogs in the area sleep during the day and fight at night
3. Our mini fridge was not functional
4. Our plumbing gave out in the washroom, flooding the bathroom.
5. The showerhead broke while I was in the shower.
Was overall very dissatisfied with the limited ability of the staff to communicate. Sometimes they acted like they understand, but obviously didn’t.
6. The staff made me think it would be possible to save taxes with a cash checkout, but that was old news when checkout came around.
Overall very dissapointed. Bring booze or sleeping pills if you want to have a good night sleep.

Good location and huge impressive lobby and restaurants. Good service by friendly staff. The hotel is getting older. They need to change the bathroom fitting which is getting older. The toiletries are below average. The electronic lighting system were not working in total.

We reserved 2 rooms but only one available on arrival the hotel saying that only one room booked through Expedia (but did not receive you agreement or disagreement according my last claim).. My friend had to wait over 1/2 hour to get a room.
Furthermore window not well sound isolated in the rooom I got, and not the interesting view on the city
in spite of the fact that I paid the upper price.

We arrived a day earlier than the tour. We assumed breakfast was included. We arrived at 3:30 am and after a couple hours of sleep we went downstairs for a light breakfast. I had 2 hard boiled eggs and a half bowl of cereal. The cost of breakfast at $20.00 per person is very expensive and came as a surprise when presented me with the bill. If you don't sign up for breakfast included you can get breakfast around the corner for a lot less. Thumbs down for customer service when I questioned the bill upon checkout.

My experience was bad , not sure how to complain and where!!! I reached hotel to be denied room , though I had confirmed reservations. I had to pay additional iNR 1900 about to get the room . The rooms were just ok , towels soggy. We stayed at lobby almost begging for room , for more that one hour . The moment I said , if you have some extra charges, I am ready to bear, they came into action . They are CHEAP Cheats
