I booked this hotel for myself, husband and 2 of our adult children on our way back from a family vacation. It was a bad experience from the get go. The guy behind the front desk wasn't very friendly when I went to check in. Like normal he asked for my ID and the credit card I used, no problem. He had me fill out some paperwork, name, license plate number, the usual stuff, I filled it out and I gave it back to him. It is taking him several minutes longer than I have ever had to wait and we were the only ones trying to check in at the time. He wrote down the price stated for my stay through Hotels.com as 76.41 on this paper and handed me a copy. I asked him for a printed receipt and he reluctantly gives me one. I quickly glanced at the price charged and it was $76.41 so I'm thinking all is good. We get to the room and it is very basic. I had booked 2 queen beds. I got 2 full beds. The ac didn't work properly so we were uncomfortable and hot throughout the night. There was barely any shampoo in the bathroom and the rooms need a good cleaning. The floors are dirty so don't walk around barefoot.

The bed was fine, and I was able to sleep well. Overall, the room was clean. The bathroom's fixtures were kind of outdated, and the pressure in the shower head was very low. But all I needed was a comfortable place to sleep, and they provided that.

I was hoping we would have tea or coffee making facilities in our room but that was not the case. Our room was clean but in the bathroom the valve line supply at the toilet was leaking and had a bucket under it which I emptied twice. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast had tea coffee plus milk and orange juice. Cereal was available plus fruit. Toast, muffins, etc were available. There were restaurants nearby and just off 1-57 so convenient.

Where to begin, my wife and I booked the ( King suite ) once we entered the room the Jacuzzi tub was pleasant but the roof above it had a random piece of drywall on the ceiling. We went to put our drinks in the refrigerator which had mold inside of it and was unplugged. I personally cleaned it up. The baseboard in the bathroom was falling off the floor and a large whole in the ceiling. Speaking of the bathroom the shower didn't turn on and the the dryer that was mounted to the wall the cord had electrical tape on it in several places. The bedroom windows had water damage and the baseboards were peeling off walls and had mold visible. Had any other hotel been available at that time I would have refused the room. This is literally the first bad review I've ever given to anything ever. I hope this helps future travelers.

Room 104, It's a queen handicap accessible room..tub with shower chair, standard 17 inch toilet which I was grateful for. Bring your own shower gel they only hv that rough bar soap..
Room has a mini fridge and microwave..both were clean..the bed was a mattress on top if a steel frame. I slept fine so I won't ding them for the mattress..The breakfast consisted of 2 cereal canisters there was milk and a empty oj carafe 1 yogurt left..basket of tangerines..wont say they looked the best..bc they weren't as firm as they should be..but edible..I didn't do the coffee bc well yeah I didn't like the set up..I made 2 slices of toast the condiments where in the fridge so that ws good.
No check in issues so if I ever visit rend lake again they may be a cheap option..160 for 2 days..peaceful and it has a plenty food and gas options..

Stayed here for 5 days traveling for work. The rooms were clean enough, but the housekeepers walked into my room two days in a row without knocking or announcing themselves first, they just opened the door and walked in. I was not going to be in the room on the last day of my stay so I expected they would just let themselves in again. I neatly stacked all my trash, towels, and bedsheets near the door so they could easily collect. Came back to the room that night to find it untouched. No clean towels or linens and trash still by the door. I went to the service desk to ask for clean towels and had to wait 20 minutes for them becuase the receptionist on duty did not know where the keys to the storage room were. Will not be staying here again.

The outside and lobby was clean. The young girl St the front desk was friendly and helpful. Th rooms were clean. The fridge was huge but looked a little rough on the outside but very clean on the inside. Beds weren’t too bad clean pillows soft. Bathroom has some tile broke sink was crewed to the wall. You can tell it wasn’t the original toilet that used to be in there didn’t match the spot on the floor and it moved when you sat firm on it. There was permanent stains on the tub But it was clean. Door was not put in tight padlock wouldn’t with but it had 2 other locks on it. Wasn’t that bad of a start but the room beside us they were arguing had a kids screaming and kept slamming their door really hard. Did it till about 11:30 at night. Kept waking us up throughout the night. Scared my daughter where she was afraid to go to sleep cause she thought someone was breaking in.

The toilet stool had a crack in the side, and it had a bolt missing on the bottom. When you moved on it it would tilt. The hair dryer outlet had a big crack, and it looked like it had been smoking. The outlet was not GFCI (dangerous). The air conditioning system did not work properly. The trash outside of the building was not emptied for the 5 days we were there. There were weeds all around the outside of the building. The coffee was good.

This is my 3rd stay here in the last 6 months. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The room is big and clean. The bed is comfortable and I felt safe parking my luxury vehicle here. Although there are big rigs near by it doesn’t cause much noise or loitering from vagrants.
I WILL BE BACK IN A MONTH!!!! A rating for this place

After two room fails we checked out

Questionable rooms. Toilet wouldn't flush. Service desk gave us a plunger. Still didn't work. Went to change rooms and toilet in that room was so wobbly we thought it would fall over. Went to get a refund and because it was booked through expedia they wouldn't refund us. We'll try to contact expedia but we'll probably never see that money again.

I like that it’s kinda of tucked off to the side. It’s not too confined around the property or crowded however, it is not too lit towards the property edges. when I asked about the laundry, they said that their wash was temporarily down at the moment however they do offer for you to go onto when the machine is working since it wasn’t working I can’t tell you the prices and I also tried to find where I could see how much it was if anything have my service animal with me and I had to let them know at the front desk when I was checking in and then pay extra amount.the staff were very helpful to me and also humble and courteous. The stores within a 2 mile radius offer any basic necessities you might need for night stay

We stayed in room 109 as usual. This room needs a new mattress and frame. Everytime my husband would move the mattress would about flip me out the other side. The fan in the bathroom needs to be replaced. It makes so much noise and really does nothing to remove the steam in the room.

PROS: The shower head/water pressure in the shower was downright awesome. And the front desk folks were super nice and friendly. The place could definitely use a cosmetic update, but it was clean. CONS: I don't believe the property has an elevator, so plan to carry your luggage up steps if you aren't on the main level. Also, the sink didn't have a vanity to set your toiletries on. And the bathroom didn't have a fan, so it would take awhile before the mirror cleared - there's another in the room though. Lastly, the bedding was super thin compared to what I am used to, so you may want to reconsider cranking the A/C at night or you may wake up cold in the middle of the night.

Overall our overnight stay was very nice. The room offered everything we needed (frige, microwave, good working air conditioner). The person checking us in was very pleasant and delightful which is not often the case at most hotels. The bathroom and overall room was very clean. The bed/pillows were very comfortable. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the country, I would recommend this hotel.

At 4:30 AM the hot tub above us started leaking. We called the front desk and nobody came to help. We cleaned up the gallons of water that was spilling onto the floor with towels. If it wasn’t for us staying in that room that floor would’ve been ruined. we asked for a refund since we were awoken and unable to be in our room after 4:30 AM and they told us no refund would be issued. Hotel was clean and just a little dated but not happy about this service.

We booked this hotel for the solar eclipse. I booked online and saw that it was very expensive, but I figured this was a high quality hotel. It was merely average. For the price (they charged five times the normal rate), it was very disappointing. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable enough, the location was good. But the breakfast was limited and the bathroom sink drained at a snail's pace. Normally, I would not stay here again because the property was only fair and there were better properties in the area. But at the prices they charged, I am taking the extra step of writing an unhappy review to express my outrage at how they ripped off their guests just because there was a higher demand than usual for their rooms.
