This is our third year here for Miss Illinois pageant and we love this place. It close to food and other things to do, it’s price is cheap, staff is friendly, and we will be back next year. It has no frills but we don’t need it. If we had any problems or needs it was taken care of quickly, if your looking for convenience, with a place to sleep and shower this is it.

If you are in a wheelchair do not go there , was told over the phone that bathroom was handicap accessible. It was not , couldn't shut the door to access the shower , wheelchair was blocking door from closing .

The bedding seemed dirty as there was someone else's hair on it upon arrival The housekeeping was spotty. Didn't replace the dirty towels or empty the trashcans daily. It was one or the other. The floor squeaked really loud when me or the people in the rooms next to me walked around. Was loud enough to get woke up by it in the middle of the night. No in room coffee pot or iron.

Check in was nice, was able to get an extra pillow as they had 2 per bed and we had two in a bed. Floor was sticky, bed was noisy and air conditioner had to by unplugged to turn off as it started dripping.
Shower was nice and hot event after 2 others. Others in the hotel were loud, but not too late at night.

I would stay there again if needed.

Had bug bites on my face, chin, hand and arms while I was sleeping. Extremely itching. I had to buy anti-itching medication and cream. The hotel totally ruined my trip. Not recommended.

The bathroom sink leaked and the bed comforters didn't seem very clean. Most importantly, the bathtub featured drywall mesh patching and a lot of sparkle. I didn't like that; the bathtub floor had a lot "give." There was nice shampoo, but I usually bring my own soaps so I didn't ask.

Above all this was a good value for the money, plus the staff are friendly. The hotel is convenient to the airport, but not much else is nearby. Amenities are rather minimal, but my room had a newly renovated bathroom - yay. I will very likely stay here again.

I guess you do get what you pay for. It’s a decent hotel—clean rooms, friendly staff, the price is right. I was, however, at least expecting a coffee pot in the room or lobby, some shampoo, and a blow dryer. In the middle of the night, the 75-degree “heat” switched to 66-degree “cool”, and I woke up freezing. Probably won’t stay again, especially since “no breakfast” meant I had to stop and pay for breakfast and coffee on the road, which made it not as economically prudent.

I travel often but I have never been treated with such respect as I was during this stay at this motel. If I could give 10 stars I would!! Due to physical reasons I needed a fan. Not only did the staff try to get the room cooler but also retrieved a fan with no charge. They truly care about their customers. Great job!!

It is now over 72 hours since checking out of the motel and my deposit of $100 still has not been returned to my account and is overdrawing my checking account. And no way to talk to someone about it. Totally unacceptable!

The hotel was in a seedy part of town. There were homeless people milling all about the hotel and parking area. The room was extremely dirty. There were stains on the bed covering, dirt on the floor, not our hair in tub and on floor, and the smell was horrific. My son and I didn’t feel comfortable or safe. We stayed 5 minutes and left. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Clean and basic … just what was needed (a place to sleep and shower). Right now the main office/breakfast area is being renovated (pool also closed) so there is no breakfast (which is perhaps why the price was so affordable). Also, this place is literally walkable from the airport!

When we booked, Motel 6 not only said "Pet Friendly," but it advertised "Pets Stay Free!" When you chat with M6 on Twitter, their tag line at the top still advertises that. But, unfortunately, it isn't true. We had an emergency booking due to a funeral. We had to bring our four cats. We chose this hotel because "Pets Stay Free." When we arrived late at night, we were told that there is a $100 deposit for pets (which we paid and which was returned, fine). BUT, it's also only TWO pets that stay free. We were charged $80 non-refundable for two cats for two nights (20/pet/night). This is explained nowhere on Expedia and, again, it said "Pets Stay Free" in multiple places. When we tried discussing it with the staff, twice, we were told that their policy is their policy. But it's misleading when you advertise "pets stay free," is it not? They didn't care. "Well, if not, someone could bring 20 dogs," they said. And that's true... BUT... then you shouldn't be advertising that "Pets Stay Free," because they don't. It's false advertising. I'm not saying their policy is a bad one; I'm saying it's NOT the policy that's stated online and therefore, false advertising. They refused a refund of the $80, as did Motel 6 corporate. This was very disappointing and very dishonest. What does it do? It teaches you that you need to lie about pet numbers with Motel 6. That's what it teaches, sadly, because they're falsely advertising the policy, yet you're the one that will pay.

Have stayed here several times when visiting Snake Road in the Shawnee. It's always clean, and we've never had any problems. The microwave and refrigerator are a plus. Parking is easy, and check-in and check-out are easy.

The manager was friendly when we arrived. It was unexpected that the bathroom wasn't fully enclosed. There was a window in the shower that had no glass so we had to close two curtains when we showered. We found mold on our shower curtain. We found a roach in the bathroom as well. The TV was angled towards the ceiling and we didn't want to attempt to move it down as it did not seem sturdy on the wall. There wasn't a freezer in the refrigerator. House keeping did not come at all during our 2 night stay.

Quick easy one night stay while driving through.

Staff was friendly. Room was just OK for staying overnight and leaving the next morning. It appeared clean. The parking was well lit and they had security cameras. I chose this hotel because the price was great and our cat was no extra charge. The website did not mention an animal deposit like all the other hotels did. I was surprised at check in that there was a deposit of $100 which I will be fully refunded in a couple of days. I think that should be on the hotels.com page.

SWEET COZY PET-FRIENDLY PLACE

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for several weeks. We always felt very comfortable & safe the entire time. Staff was extremely friendly & very helpful. Other guest seemed happy with their stay as well. Our room was super roomy & very comfortable.This motel was extremely pet friendly with no extra pet fees. I would totally recommend this Motel 6 especially if you are traveling with pets.

I arrived to check in to the room. The first room I was given was occupied. We actually woke a night nurse up from her sleep.
I went to the desk to try again. This room was 'meh.' The bed was okay, but I can't describe it as comfortable. There were things like the sprinkler hanging out of a hole in the ceiling, the pillows were so flat, and the towels were smaller bath towels that felt like they've been around a long time. There were no amenities; the pool was closed. I'd probably choose a different hotel to stay in.

Bed was very comfortable. Spacious room. My biggest complaint was the chech-in process. Resvervation made through Expedia. I even received a call from the property confirming I made the reservation. Upon arrival I was informed that my credit card was declined. I explained that the reservation was paid through Expedia. He said I needed to pay with a different card. I used the same card that I used with Expedia. Now I got billed twice. I was told to wait for the charges to post against my credit card. If both charges get posted I am to call the Motel 6 to get a refund-very frustrating.

I've been staying at this hotel for 15 years. I come down fishing 4 times a year.
Unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem with getting power to my boat. Motel 6 has outside electric outlets to charge my batteries in my boat. I was promised for the last 2 years they would be fixed. So far nothing. Other than that I'm ok.

Room was fairly clean but old and could use fresh paint, a good window cleaning and some drywall repair. The air conditioner was very loud and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Front desk attendant was pleasant and it is pet friendly. I suppose for the price it was good enough for a place to sleep on a road trip.

This is what it is. It’s a motel six which is not a Hyatt or a Ritz. But this was one of the nicer motel six properties we’ve stayed at. No complaints for $72 a night.

The beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean. Not the prettiest property, but we checked in at 8 PM and left at 5 AM so it met our needs just fine.

Was checked in promptly and professionally. Room was clean but the TV didn’t work and the next room’s TV was super loud. I requested another room and was quickly offered another alternate one. There was a used wash cloth hung on the shower rod, but otherwise the room was clean. I slept and showered, so overall my stay was successful.

ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES. I felt something crawling on me while I was in the bed sleeping. Thought maybe it was just my mind being tired. Went to the bathroom, 3 roaches in the tub, started packing up my stuff to leave and found 20 roaches in the bathroom alone. Went to get my dog food another 7-8 roaches in my dogs food.
So I pull back the blankets roaches. I tell the front desk about the roaches and show them the videos and they said, we have never had a complaint about roaches. I'm sure that is lie, there are baby roaches that means you have had them for awhile.
I am absolutely disgusted, I do not have roaches where I live in Colorado, have never had roaches, so this was absolutely disgusting to me. For some reason I can not add pictures or the videos I took.

Old and outdated, got a random phone call at 5 in the morning with nobody on the line. The owner came knocking on the door at 9 am seeing if we needed our room cleaned when we only stayed 1 night. Found hairs on bed, pillows, and towels. The pillows were old and terrible and the sheets and blankets were old and thin. One bed had cigarette burns in the bed sheets. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Never will we stay here again. This property needs to be bulldozed and re-built!!

Grounds outside were very pretty. The motel itself is showing its age with long cracks in the walls and old, outdated decor. The pets friendly policy is good if you only have 2 pets. You are not told of the 2 pets limit when reserving the room online. We had 3 pets with us, so they charged me $20/night for the extra pet.
