My stay in the hotel bedroom was overall adequate, but there were several issues that affected comfort. The room itself was basic and met minimum expectations; however, the bathroom had noticeable problems. The toilet was not properly fixed to the floor and moved when used, and there was a persistent foul odor in the washroom. The silicone around the bathroom fixtures was visibly yellowed, which gave the space an unclean appearance.

In the bedroom, the curtains did not block out light effectively, making it difficult to sleep comfortably, especially in the early morning. While the hotel may be acceptable for a short stay, improvements to cleanliness, maintenance, and overall room comfort are needed.

We stayed here for 3 weeks. The room was tiny. The bed was small and uncomfortable. It felt like it needs to be replaced. The room only got cleaned when we asked and not every time. This property is not close to anything...which isn't bad if you speak Thai. It is close to the BTS but we took Grab cars everywhere we went. They offer laundry services but they are way overpriced. The workers spoke only Chinese and Thai so we had to communicate only through WhatsApp. The communication barrier was real. Considering the prices you can get in Bangkok, skip this one and get a different hotel.

The shower has a rather odd system to open and have hot water, it took us 2 days to realize! But all we needed to do is ask the friendly staff, they are always happy to help! I also had an issue with the key and they assisted me even if it was off hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Incredible quality service and facilities, especially at the price point. The staff, Leo in peticular, is always going above and beyond to help you. He can give recommendations for just about anything you need. He is mutilingual and very sociable, making us feel welcomed from day one.

The snack bar is always fully stocked, and the espresso machine is top notch. Great for a luxurious morning brew.

My wife and I highly recommend The Star of Sathorn for extended stays because it really felt like home.

A Wonderful Gem

My experience at the star of Saddlehorn hotel was just superb. It is a small hotel that offers personalized service and excellent accommodations. It is decorated in a unique, personalized and beautiful way. Cleanliness is outstanding. My breakfasts were amazing with every detail done with care and an eye for aesthetics as well as a variety of interesting tastes. I am visually impaired and the staff went out of their way to help me get around the city. They looked after me as though I was family.
Thank you to Jucy ,, the owner, Tor and Kate, two wonderful staff members. You made my stay memorable.

Officially my favorite hotel in Bangkok

I'm usually the kind of person who stays in hostels, so to stay here was a real treat and whenever I need my own room, I will always book the Star of Sathorn from now on!

The family who runs it is very sweet, speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about the local area and pointed me to a place where I ended up getting an amazing massage. I got a delicious lemongrass tea drink upon arrival too! The rate I booked didn't include breakfast so I cannot review that.

Wongwian Yai BTS stop (with an elevator!) is literally a two minutes walk around the corner, VERY convenient. 7/11 is a minute away and there are a load of street food vendors in every direction.

The room itself was quiet and very comfortable. Nice bed! I was in a \"London\" room. The only thing I would bring up in a negative aspect is that it may have been a little awkward if I were sharing with someone because there's no hiding yourself on the toilet haha, but perfectly fine for someone comfortable with that or a solo traveler! It's a beautifully-decorated room of ample size and gets cleaned daily :)

Had stayed here for a night from 12-13 Mar 2019. We had wanted to go Hua Hin and thought this location is a favourable location for us (near BTS for our evening trips and near Southern Bus Terminal for next day trip to Hua Hin). This is probably the most pleasant hotel around Bangkok that I have stayed in. Though a boutique hotel, service is better than those 5 stars hotel (I had stayed in 5 star hotel in other parts of my trip to make this comparison) - Drinks provided at check in to fresh fruits and snacks ready in your room. Homemade Breakfast was great (FYI, starts at 8am for time sensitive travelers), staff/owner recommending places to go and how to go without us asking. Only small minus point was certain toiletries items is at lobby/lift area which I was not aware until later part of the stay (probably used to having all toiletries available in room already). Overall, a great experience staying in this hotel and would definitely recommend to travelers

Everything about the hotel is awesome. Made to order breakfast, rooms great, staff is great. Very helpful staff regarding things to see in Bangkok. The thing is it is a bit off the beaten track, so expect long taxi journeys through Bangkok traffic hell. But it is Bangkok, so that is the way it is. It has a metro station very close if want do that. Not many dinning options within walking distance. But if you want a decent room with great staff,, check it out.

The Star of Sathorn is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Jucy and Tor (the owners) are amazing hosts! They welcomed me with a tremendous amount of hospitality and a refreshing glass of lemongrass tea partnered with fresh fruit. Their hotel is clean, stylish, and conveniently located. Did I mention CLEAN? They also serve a home cooked breakfast daily if I could give them 10 stars I would! I traveled alone to Bangkok and I was a first timer. They were extremely helpful in assisting me with anything and everything that I needed (places to go, how to get there, etc.) Everyday they answered several questions I had about exploring Bangkok. If I’m ever there again I will stay with them. Oh and be sure to visit the massage place across the street (ask Jucy she will tell you) it’s called Unyarin Health Massage. I got a 90 minute massage every single day for 6 days :)

The Star of Sathorn is a wonderful find in Bangkok.

Mr Tor and Mme Jucy were very welcoming from emails in advance of our arrival through to an efficient check in with welcome drink. Throughout our short stay (we have been to Bangkok before) they were attentive and provided thoughtful suggestions to our itinerary.

The room was large and very clean. Bottled water was complimentary. The hotel TV didn’t have English language stations but Bangkok is a 24/7 city so you won’t be spending nights in front of the box. WiFi was amazingly fast.

Breakfast was freshly prepared and ample. It varied day by day so a welcome change from wasteful hotel buffets.

In terms of location, this was an area we had not stayed but had plenty to do and still quiet. The SkyTrain was a few minutes walk to get you to the rest of the city as well as being one way to the airport. However taxis are plentiful and cheap.

We cannot wait to return to this excellent hotel.

First time in Bangkok from Puerto Rico and I left very happy that I had chosen this hotel. The level of personal interaction with the staff was wonderful. The breakfast was phenomenal and Thai food is now one of my favorite dishes. Train station down the block and your only two stops away from the river where you catch boats up and down. Reality is your gonna be on taxis and riverboats and trains. I loved the experience cause I got to experience real life living. People selling and making their living. Be mindful and respectful of other people way of life.

A family operated hotel. Located in residential area, a bit away from the central busy area but only 2 minutes walk to Wongwian Yai BTS station. It feels like your vacation home. Sparkling clean everywhere, included breakfast is fresh made by the host! I had different breakfast every morning during my three days stay. Very comfortable bed. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had very pleasant stay.

The owners were waiting for us upon arrival and offered a nice welcome drink. They were very helpful and let us know about how everything worked in the local area and recommended a few restaurants for us to try. They recommended a local Thai cooking class which was a great experience.

The room was very clean, the AC worked well and in general everything seemed 'new', which was nice. Each floor has a different theme which is a nice touch.

The breakfast was delicious and they catered for everybody's needs. It almost seemed like a full evening meal! The room also had many snacks which you could buy for a small price.

The one small problem which we had in one of our rooms was that there was a slight smell of sewage in the bathroom which got worse when we turned on the shower. As well as this, the shower was a bit inconsistent and wouldn't stay at the same temperature. Of course, this is quite a minor issue and so it didn't really bother us.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend The Star of Sathorn.

The room was great - nice amenities and comfortable bed. The location was excellent - just a couple of blocks from the metro, which was very easy to use. The owners of the hotel were very nice and extremely helpful about how to get to the local attractions and also arranged our tour to Ayutthaya and transportation to the airports. The Thai breakfast every morning was incredible, and it alone was worth the price of the room!

A good choice hotel

Choosing The Star of Sathorn was a no brainer. Due largely to Jucy's proverbial breakfast in particular and it's close proximity to Wongwian Yai BTS Station. The hotel is very clean and well kept.

The complimentary transfer from airport to hotel was a gracious convenience to us. Jucy, a remarkable lady, who owns and runs the hotel was the most cordial Innkeeper I've come across. So helpful and accommodating, especially in catering to your breakfast preference. Talk about breakfast, The Star of Sathorn is in a league of it's own. We've never look forward to having breakfast like we did at The Star of Sathorn. We could have our preferred breakfast prepared but chose to be surprised by Jucy every morning instead. She failed us not. Yes, she cooked our lavish scrumptious breakfasts personally with choice ingredients and served them in stylish restaurant grade crockeries filled with generous portions. Every breakfast we had was a treat. We also had the regular supplies of toasts, butter and jams, juices, cereal, coffee and tea and a decent amount of cut fruits and dessert. Jucy obviously takes pride in her exploit to serve us her wholesome goodness breakfast.

Every one was polite to a fault. They were efficient yet quiet, friendly yet discreet and never intrusive nor imposing.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The Star of Sathorn. The hospitality was sincere and the friendliness was unpretentious. I'll strongly recommend The Star of Sathorn to anyone without hesitation.

It’s a lovely place to stay. A home away from home

This is my first time in Bangkok and I’m glad to have stayed at the Star of Sathorn. I cannot say I enjoyed Bangkok but I loved my stay at this hotel. The kindness, consideration and graciousness displayed by all who worked there was heartening.
The property itself is beautiful with a fusion of the grandness and royalty of old Thailand blended perfectly with a contemporary design.
It’s clean, smoke free, breakfast was always excellent and is just such treat if you’re looking to get away from the city.
Tranquil, serene and thoroughly comfortable.
I may not be a fan of Bangkok but I’m definitely am a fan of The Star of Sathorn and the people who run it.

Starting with the location, its 1 minute walk from Wongwian Yai Metro Station, which makes accessing other places in Bangkok easy. About the hotel, I would say it was a great experience. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The look and feel of rooms is classy. I satyed in 2 different rooms which had different layouts and features. They serve decent breakfast in morning. Experience in the hotel is amplified by Jucy and her assistant, both of them are amazing host. She explained how to visit different places and shared good knowledge. She allowed me to keep luggage for few hours even after checking out as i had my flight late at night.

Amazing stay at lovely hotel

Great boutique hotel. Staff cant do enough to help. Breakfasts are amazing. Suggested to me I might want to upgrade to larger room as room was small but as a solo traveller I kept the small room. Not really any wardrobes so had to operate out of suitcase (my fault). My room had glass partition to shower and toilet offering no privacy on toilet if you shared the room but no problem for me. Overall great hotel and would visit again as its close to skytrain station.

Very lovely hotel close to BTS

Quaint place. Small but definitely sufficient! Room are nicely decorated and very clean. Family run and breakfast are freshly cooked every morning by the lady boss. Love her Thai food in the mornings!

Location is not in the common tourists areas. However it has close proximity to Wongwian Yai BTS - Silom Line which will bring you anywhere to city Centre conveniently.

Definitely worth 5 stars rating. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at The Star of Sarthon

The staff at The Star of Sarthon treats all of the guest like part of a family being very attentive and sensitive to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel to any solo traveler for its accessible location (minutes to BTS and also local food and shops) for their stay in Bangkok.

It's glorious feeling I have about the hotel. \n\n

This is one of the hotel that I felt glorious when I walked into the hotel. This boutique hotel gave me an impression that the environment of the hotel was different from other commercial hotels. The location of the hotel is in the neighbourhood of bangkok. so I can see many hawkers who are selling food along the road from BTS station to the hotel. It can feel the atmosphere of bangkok life when walked back to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room is very comfortable and is clean with a renovated bathroom. The welcome drink was a nice bonus. The hotel owners are approachable. They showed us how to get around Bangkok and arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us off at the airport.

The Star of Sathorn is conveniently located near the Wongwian Yai BTS station, a mere 3 minutes walk. There are also many food stalls and 7-Eleven near by. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The room is very clean and well decorated. Great value for money. The only small challenge is the shower mixer which is a bit tricky to operate.

Hidden gem in Bangkok!

This hotel was great - modern, stylish and good service! The rooms are lovely and not like the bland rooms you get with big brand hotel chains! Its the little touches that make the experience great and a lovely welcome drink and platter of fruit as well as fresh cooked huge breakfast was fantastic! Dont let its location across the river put you off, you are a minute from the BTS station to take you anywhere you want to visit in Bangkok and here you can experience the real city! Would highly recommend!

I booked a single-occupancy room which had a very lovely Bed and bathroom. It would have been perfectly fine if not for the fact that the room was so small and the bed so big that there was almost no room for my stuff! There was no closet dresser or desk and only barely enough room to walk around the bed. The hallways of the building were not air-conditioned. Breakfast was nice and I did enjoy it. The staff didn't speak very good English and I think because of that I often felt like I was imposing upon them if I needed to ask for something. They did try hard to make me feel welcome though. Once when they realized I was still in my hotel room at 3 p.m. without asking they brought me food and cookies which was nice :) I wouldn't call it a bad hotel by any stretch.l, and the service was very good.
It was only a few blocks from a BTS station and it was easy to get around. However there were no places to eat nearby at night except for a 7-Eleven, and no way to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. I don't think the hotel is worth the price.

Brand new of 8 months. Elegance.

Sophisticated décor. Hands-on-owners makes it a great experience. Excellent Thai breakfasts are included with the room. Quietly tugged in the inner soi (small street off the main road) with the leisurely walk to the BTS in a couple minutes. Impeccably clean room. Again, breakfasts are not to be missed.

Luxury family ran small hotel/Bed and Breakfast

Really lovely family, went out of their way to make sure I felt safe and comfortable. Always down for a chat and making sure I was OK (I was jetlagged and left my computer on the plane). Genuine hospitality, would definitely stay again.

there are different styles of room here. I stayed in the Japanese style room with Tatami bed. I'm feeling really warm because I had hot green tea with snacks for our welcome pack. My child had learnt how to make one of the thai dessert, Luk chub, it tasted really nice. There is also massage just opposite the hotel recommended by the staff and it was really nice. There is morning market in the morning which is very nice to have a walk which is just in front of the hotel. The room is very clean and the staffs took care of us a lot. It is very convenient to travel around bangkok because the metro station is very close.

Fantastic & Good Experience

The room is really nice and clean, good decoration and many themes, the staff is also very friendly, I had stayed here twice after i travelled to phuket krabi and chiangmai. I loved this hotel the most, it makes me feel very warmth like home, the owner and the staff are really nice. The hotel is very close to metro station too. They drove me to a very good restaurant and value for money near the hotel. They gave me a lot of recommendations to interesting places for me to go.
I really enjoyed the cookig class. Green curry was very delicious and well-prepared. I had a lot of trick from this class. I will obviously come back to stay here again.

Bangkok's rising Star

Our family has been visiting Thailand regularly for over 10 years, and the Star of Sathorn is possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in in Bangkok. It is located in a section of Bangkok far enough away from the noisy nightlife that it is pleasant, but accessible to anywhere in the city due to its proximity to the Wongwian Yai BTS station. The staff's attention to our needs was wonderful. They even cooked spaghetti for breakfast for our 4 year old son, because they knew it was his favorite! It's almost like a B&B because of its personal nature. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

Perfect boutique hotel & convenient location

I stayed at the Star of Sathorn hotel for two nights before flying back home to Ireland after travelling SEA. The hotel was the perfect relaxation spot for winding down before my last long flight home. It's conveniently located just around the corner (2 minute walk) from Wongwian Yai BST train station so you can go to town or anywhere easily. I arrived quite late for check-in and they still offered me a sandwich and coffee. The room was so cute, with mini bar and tv. The bed was so comfy. Toiletries provided and the shower was fantastic. The free continental breakfast was delicious. I also had to check out at 5am as my flight was leaving early and they were available to book my taxi and ensure that he stopped at a nearby ATM for me. Extremely helpful staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Bangkok.

It was totally beyond my expectation

Well, I'm really impressed by the way they took care of me. Some of the staffs are not so good at english but they have really good service mind. Anyway, the receptionist can speak english and i was so surprised when i realised that the manager also can speak japanese!
When i saw the room, i think that the price is really cheap. It's like i paid for 3-star hotel but what i got was a 5-star hotel. And the place is very near to skytrain station and only few stations away from Sathorn and Siam square
The breakfast was homemade and very delicious! i will surely stay here again for my next trip visiting BKK
Sorry about my english but after visiting this hotel, i want to recommend this hotel to everyone who is coming to stay in BKK

I stay 4 days and had a great time. Staff was always helpful and super nice. My booking included breakfast and I liked very much Thai style served breakfast. BTS station near to hotel. Good Wi-Fi and it worked whole my stay. Two 7-Eleven shops and few Thai food restaurants near to hotel.

對於一個不要求酒店有豪華設施, 只要求住得舒適的我, 這間酒店絕對是出類拔萃. 酒店座落於一個民居區域, 遠離喧鬧的商業區, 但距離BTS站只3分鐘步程, 便利店只在1分鐘步程, 非常方便. 酒店由兩夫妻經營, 有着住民宿的親切感覺, 房間內的舒適度又遠遠超出民宿的標準. 酒店提供的早餐是由老闆娘親自主理, 每天不同, 老闆娘會在房客入住時詢問客人的口味喜好, 照顧不同人的品味, 早餐份量絕對足夠, 味道亦勝過五星級酒店, 因每份早餐都是為客人度身訂造的. 老闆也會非常樂意為住客提供在曼谷的吃喝玩樂指引. 若希望感受住在曼谷有朋友般的接待享受, 這家酒店沒錯了.

꼭 여기를 선택하셔야 할 이유라도 있을까요?

신생이신데..죄송한데, 이 가격으로 왜 여기를 묶어야 하는지 모르겠어요
1인실 매우 좁고요 (이건 1인실이니 그러려니 하는데...)
가격은 2인실보다 비싸고..아침은 정말 가정식으로 좋게 나오는데..가정식? 이거 하나만 보고 여기에 묵기에는....

그냥 이 지역을 원한다면 옆에 W호텔로 가는게 나을꺼 같고요 아니면 그냥 다운타운으로 가시는게 더 나을꺼 같아요
여기 들어올때 여성분이면 무서울 정도로 골목이기도 하고...

사실 너무 황당한건데..휴지가 여분이 없고요...(다 떨어지면...밤에는 연락도 잘 안되는...)
문도 열쇠로 열어야 되고요...(보통 1-2만원대에서 이렇게 하는데..)
층간 소음도 있었어요..(뭐 이건 운이라고 해야 할지...)

또..아침 시간이 너무 늦어요...아침 8시에 시작을 하니 뭐..아침 프로그램을 갈수가 없어요..

그리고 숙박해 보시면 알텐데 엄청난 외곽이에요...W호텔도 같긴 한데..거긴 이쁘고 저렴하기나 하지..
쓸말이 많은데..여튼...전혀 추천하고 싶지 않아요...

이건...주인분도 아셔야 할꺼 같아서 꼭 적어요. 가격을 조정하시거나, 다른 곳에 비해서 분명히 좋은 점을 찾으셔야 할꺼 같아요

色々アドバイスをいただいて、安全な旅が出来ました。
中心部からは外れていますが、BTSの駅がすぐそばなので全く問題なかったです。
全体的に灯りを落とした落ち着いた作りなので、しいて言えばデスクに読書灯等の灯りが欲しかったです。

Luksushotel...i mindre målestok ❤️

Sathorn er et helt specielt lille hotel....det er anden gang vi er der. Et familiehotel, som bestræber sig på at skabe en hyggelig atmosfære. Alt er fuldstændig stilrent, med små pynteting overalt, meget elegant. Værtsparret er meget hjælpsomme med tilrettelæggelse af ture i Bangkok.
Værelserne er smagfuldt indrettet og sengene super. Morgenmaden er også helt speciel...med små meget fine anretninger, og alle ønsker bliver opfyldt.
Skytrain ligger kun 3-4 minus gang fra hotellet....og så kommer man nemt rundt til seværdighederne. Taksinbroen ligger kun 3 stop med Skytrain og så er man ved floden, hvorfra man kan tage til f.eks, Asiatique eller MBK.
Vi kan virkelig anbefale hotellet på det varmeste....

The Star of Sathorn er et hotell hvor de ansatte virkelig ønsker at du skal føle deg ivaretatt. Da jeg ankom hotellet fikk jeg servert både velkomstdrink, kjeks og frukt. Selv om hotellets plassering er litt utenfor turistområdet, finner du BTS-stasjonen likevel, og derfra er det enkelt å komme seg rundt i kjernen av Bangkok. Eller gjorde flott, detaljorientert innredning, godt renhold, nydelig frokost og hyggelige ansatte dette oppholdet storartet!

アットホームで最高のホテル

ホストの二人はとても親切で、旅程における相談にも終始笑顔で乗ってくれました。また、朝食はシンプルながらも必ずタイ料理のメニューが何かしら含まれているので、毎日何が出るか楽しみでした。部屋は常に清潔感を保っていたので、大変満足でした。ただ、BTS駅からホテルまでが暗いことは唯一の不安なところでしたが、年末年始で一通りもそこそこありましたし、距離も近いので、個人的には気になりませんでした。またとまりたいホテルです！
