Aim House Bangkok is a small budget hotel with very clean and quiet rooms. There is no restaurant but in the lobby there is an area to sit and eat. I highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable hotel that is peaceful with a like home atmosphere. We enjoyed our 8 night stay here!

A pleasant stay at this property. Clean quiet rooms. There is no restaurant at the hotel and not many to speak of on the street where hotel is located. There are street food vendors scattered here and there but at the end of the street there is a main road with plenty of dining options and about a 15 minute walk to ICONSIAM with a huge indoor market. No issues with my stay.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. It was in a somewhat remote location, and transportation was needed to enjoy Bangkok's famous nightlife. Also there was no restaurant in the hotel although the rooms do have small refrigerators. The rooms could have used a microwave in them. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Awesome hotel with good location

This is the third time for me to stay at Aim House. The location is the best advantage as the hotel is within a reasonable walking distance to Grung Thonburi BTS and Icon Siam. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and definitely value for money.

The property is in a narrow street but very convenient to walk to shopping mall by waterfront get Tuk Tuk to any where and staff were very helpful I did e/mailed them that I will be late check in they responded very fast . Room was very clean all tile, we asked for taxi the day check out was on time there at 6:00 am . I will stop by again there and the price is right you get more then your money worth .

Sickening smell of damp on ground floor rooms. Staff reluctantly agreed to change our rooms after we asked several times. The second room we got had cockroaches! Receptionist sprayed them but said nothing can be done about it until 2 days later. Changed room again - average.

The room size was large, but it lacked a microwave and the shower did not drain properly. The sound of neighboring guests could also be heard when they opened and closed their door or were talking in an adjacent room. The refrigerator and air conditioning were noisy at times throughout the night, which caused me to wake up a few times. Aim House is still a lower cost option for the budget traveler.

I love the hotel. Our room was really big. We really enjoyed resting at the hotel. It is so close to the beach. If you need to go to the bathroom, we return to the hotel and return to the beach. The buffet was so delicious. My only complaint is the room doesn't have microwave.

Not a good check in experience

Turned up after long flight from UK to get to hotel wanting a nice shower and sleep to be told in arrival that the superior room was fully booked, that they was going to put me in Suite but that was booked too, So they downgraded me ! They refunded the difference and asked me if I was happy with this!? I was like No why would I be happy with this, They then said some snacks had been put in room as compensation (Two cokes and two bags of crisps) I was too tired to even argue I just accepted room, In end it was not a bad room for the price, Good location 5 minutes walk to BTS train station.

Staff: Receptionist during the day has a flat affect (no smile or emotion) and not helpful. We asked for information on how to get our next destination and she unwilling gave us generic information. Housekeeping is very friendly. Night receptionist greeted us with smiles and helpful.

Location: The hotel is outside of the tourist area but close to the BTS (public transportation). We felt safe in the area walking at night. Restaurants and market is a short walk. There is a 7-11 next to the hotel.

Room: The room is comfortable and spacious. The bathroom gives off a sewage order at times. There is hot water and water pressure is good. There is a lock box and closet. There is also a bench and a vanity area. It is also modern and clean. The lighting in the room is a little dim.

This hotel was a great choice for us. We didn’t know what to expect since it was on the low price bar, but as soon as we pulled up to the hotel, I could clearly see how well maintained the place was and it wasn’t just some rip off in the pictures. This place is very close to the BTS station and also a 15-20 min walk to the ferry. It didn’t feel like a burden if you know how to read maps and commute.
The staff was very kind and welcoming upon checking in. Always greeting us coming in and out. The rooms are very good for what you pay. Daily housekeeping. And they always stocked our room with fresh bottled water and fresh towels. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doubts the service for the price. If you pay about $25 for one night, expect it to be the best hotel $25 can buy. Also, there’s a guard at the entrance of the hotel. He seems very nice.
The only downside of this place is the food options around. There aren’t many unless you walk 20 mins to Sathron. Their connected restaurant (14the barel) is not worth the price you have to pay. They have absolutely no authentic Thai food options on the menu. Only western style food and even then, a plain old salad with balsamic vinegar for 180 Bath. Not worth it.

Just ok. Converted OLD apartment building. Staff always seemed to pretend like I wasn’t there. It’s hard to tell if they’re intimidated to speak English or they just don’t want to help . The rooms are a little depressing but I think that’s because the curtains are drawn because the heat is so pervasive during the day. And the views are of other really old buildings. For the price it’s not bad but I wouldn’t stay here again. The upside is the BTS is literally within two minutes and there’s a restaurant called the 14th Barrel right next door, that has an unbelievable salmon dinner very inexpensive. If you’re looking for no frills and won’t spend much time in your room book it for a night.

Very good hotel. Very clean and in a great location. Will come here again when we return. No issues with check in/out as staff speak ok English. Don't use the address from Expedia for the taxi though, it's absolutely no use at all. To get from BKK airport, get the train into Bangkok and then the BTS to krung ton buri. About a 5 minute walk from there. To get around Bangkok use the chaophraya river boats, from saphan taksin BTS

Great hotel - a little out of the way...

Great hotel in a quiet location. A bit out of the way in Silom, so lots of taxi rides to the \"attractions\" of BKK. Just small restaurants nearby, but two 7-11 stores within 2 minute walk and a larger grocery store and pharmacy within 10 minutes. A bit hard to find as it is located on its own private soi and you have to look for the small sign identifying the hotel. Nice entry and small courtyard in front. Spotlessly clean room and fantastic bathroom/shower. Well decorated. Excellent value for the money and friendly staff. A great place to stay if you have businessi in the Silom area or don't have a need to go to other areas of BKK. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A Little English Would Help

At less than USD20 NETT, I can't complain, but the lone receptionist at any given time spoke almost no English and had never heard of major malls or international hotels on the other side of the river. Check-in was a series of requirements. \"No smoking.\" \"No durian, no mangosteen.\" \"Check-out noon.\" At checkout, had to wait for them to check the room. At the price, maybe they cater to a rough crowd. In a residential area, it was also somewhat difficult to find the place without GPS at night. The room was a decent size and clean. The only complaint here is lukewarm low water pressure in the shower. The restaurant was closed on Mondays, and there is nothing in the immediate area. Once you know how to get around, the sky train is ten minutes away, and Saturn Tamsin (public transit hub) is one station away.

Lovely hotel but location not great.

The hotel was really modern and plush.
It was great to be able to close the door and relax. The cleaning staff were very helpful and everything was done to my satisfaction. I stayed for 4 days and was upgraded on the last night, without me having to do anything.

My only reservation about the hotel was the location. It was too far away from the city and there weren't any shops nearby, except 7 eleven.

The hotel has very good location - 5 minutes by walk from the station. There is great craft beer pub next to it - try their ribs! - and literally 5 minutes by walk there are few cafes and 7Eleven.

Staff is very helpful, but for the first time in my life we had to wait 2 hours to check in to the room as check in was at 2pm and still it was not ready in time.

I wouldn't say the room was spotless. You can see, someone cleaned there and there are fresh sheets and towels, but rest of it would certainly need deep spring clean.

I arrvied early at the hotel around 12noon and the reception made it clear that the check in time is 2pm. I when out leave my bags in the safety place they have and come back around 6pm to check in. The room is nice but the shower is so poor the water is so slow i didnt enjoy it for the last 3 days i stay there. The area is quite about 3 minute walk to BTS station.

Great Price, Best Staff, and Clean!

Decided to stay here only for a few days to look for another hotel to see what was out there in Bangkok but ended up staying the whole time I was here! For the price you cannot find a better hotel in terms of aesthetics and cleaniness and all staff speak really good English, had no issues communicating any of my needs. Uber rides to Bangkok Riverside, China, Sukhumvit was really cheap. The staff is what made me stay though, especially Punthippa! She was great and went above and beyond to help me during my stay. Any requests were met with an eager and sincere want to provide excellent customer service. What made dealing with her so easy was the fact that she was professional but talked as if we were friends! Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay at a good price.

For what you pay, this place is pretty good. Not much more than prices at hostels for a room. Located at the sidestreet of an alley road, it is small, cute and comfy.
Central to Sathorn/Silom area which is crazy busy at peak hours.
Room seems distinctly smaller than advertised so there is a bit of poetic licence but very friendly reception. They sell beer if you are too lazy to venture into the heat. Short walk to the main road for taxi. 7/11 a few minutes away for beer and bits plus a few roadside food stalls selling cut fruit, fried chicken and meat on a stick.

The hotel is brand new ,nice location close to the train station. But to be aware of the staff were not so honest our last day I left my wallet and left 150 dollars in it when we came back it was missing 50 dollars they investigated but the cleaner had left so they said they were going to ask the cleaner in the morning and they will open their CCTV.but it only viewing the outside of the room anyway they said the staff were very honest I don't think so.they only have 1 cleaner and she only took 50 dollars maybe she thought I would not remember my money.

Only one thing that was disturbing me. It was water pressure in shower that was very less. Means water was coming very slow.

Everything you need is close by. Not really a home base for frequent partiers but ideal for chilling. Only complaint is that the floors show hair and dirt, think they just need more attention. Front desk was amazing and always tried to help.

A really good choice wheb you stay in Bangkok

The Aim house is a really nice hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are big and clean and we also had a refrigerator and water heater. They also offer a good WiFi.
In short walking distance you will find multiple public transport options (monorail, ferry, bus).
Only disadvantage is that there aren't a lot of restaurants or street food nearby. But at least there is a small 7/11 shop.
